Papa John's Pizza in Amber Valley

My partner and I ordered from here tonight through Uber eats due to being outside the delivery radius. Unfortunately it was missing the three extra dips. Even though we're outside the delivery radius and it was just three dips missing the manager Annan was highly apologetic and went above and beyond to rectify the mistake. Due to it being peak time on a Friday he personally went out of his way to bring us 8 dips by way of apology and we couldn't be more thankful for his incredible customer service. Thank you again Annan

Papa Johns Pizza Heanor Walked in for a pizza big sign says buy one get one free was told buy one get one free price£21.99 or just buy one £10.99 .Wont be using them again this must be miss selling .

Don't order from papa johns heanor they will send you what they have not what you order and when you complain you have to wait over a month for a refund had to go to the shop personally and have a stand off to get my money back

09/10/24. Nipped in late after a long drive. There one guy working in there, doing everything! He was very nice too and the pizza was perfect. He deserves more money, top guy.

Please don’t order from this store (coming from someone who recently left after working there as a uni student for 2 and a bit years) The treatment of staff at this restaurant is not the greatest. They had 2 really great managers since changing ownership over a year ago. What happened? They both just get moved on for no reason whatsoever. The new manager that came in is not a good person. The next one comes to hours. As a student, I understand I won’t be on as many hours, but the limited hours I got were priceless. I would find that I was always one of the ones asked to leave early along with another driver. Certain drivers would never be asked to go early. I will leave people to try to work out what the reason behind this was. On the whole, some staff are nice, however some are incredibly rude. I apologise to people on behalf of one driver, who once nearly hit my car, squared up to me telling me to shut up and always steals delivered off other drivers. He’s an incredibly greedy person unfortunately. The food. Well no staff members who make food wear gloves. Their customer service is terrible. As a delivery driver, I faced the front of peoples orders being wrong or late, and would always apologise for this. But please save yourself the time and find another store to order from. There is a dominoes within a 2 minute walk from this store, and I can guarantee you’ll be getting a much better package all round going from them. It’s a shame. The staff ruin this store. From management all the way down to in store staff. Get rid of the best managers, limit my very few hours to gift more to others who didn’t need it, and always had to chase up pay. been in tonight served by the tall Iranian looking lady, placed my order waited 15 minutes got the food, went to my car and realised id got the wrong order. the lady that served me raised her voice and called me a liar, and that 'I had ordered this! pretty sure ive not lost the plot yet love! rude! id rather drive to derby than go here again. terrible service and they totally refused to rectify the order. minus 100 stars

I usually just phone papa Jo's and order it from them personally as regular customers but since my husband passed away I was surprised to see Papps Jo's and as always great pizzas great prices ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Food from here is repeatably rough, used 2 other Papa John's recently which have been great. Not sure how, but this branch is doing something wrong.

I really love this place. Delivery is fast. Food is well cooked and piping hot. I'm a pineapple on a pizza kinda girl and they never fail to deliver that sweet goodness.

I ordered and afterwards I realised that I could not get delivery (my mistake) after I realised about 30 seconds after I ordered I called and a nice lady answered. I told her my mistake and she cancelled. However, she said she had refunded my money but I haven’t received anything.

We rang to place our order and still didn’t have the food for an hour and a half, rang papas turns out on our part an old address was saved on just eat so it had put the wrong address on by accident which we didn’t realise, rang up to be told it was delivered 45 minutes ago at a flat across the road, went over to the flat and got our food back, the women that lived in this flat said she told the driver 3 times that it wasn’t her food but the driver had said “well it’s been payed for so you may aswell have it” and then left, the driver also had our phone number from placing the order and still didn’t decide to ring us after being told by the women it wasn’t her food, if he had rang us this could have been resolved much sooner. Luckily for us the woman hadn’t eaten it. £40 takeaway! We also after getting the food rang up to make a complaint but the manager wouldn’t let us get a word in at all, saying the driver denied everything and he believes his driver so couldn’t care less to listen to us Unacceptable Won’t be ordering again

Pre-ordered a classic bbq chicken pizza , large. Came on time and hot . Very very tasty . The nicest takeaway pizza we've eaten. 😋 Brilliant, thanks papa johns

Great food staff a little short and snappy

Pizza was stone cold, barely any tomato base and the delivery driver was very rude

Only ordered once before from here not linh after it first opened, the cookie and brownie had a very cakey texture, the pizza was fine though. Ordered tonight via the app then rang and asked to make sure they were cooked properly this time. Within the hour the pizza arrived still nice and hot(a bit too tomato puree on parts but not bad) the potato tots came still hot and the brownie and cookie were cooked properly this time. So I can safley say they have restored my confidence

We thought we try papa John’s pizza for a change. I ordered the bbq spice pulled pork one and the cheese one. On the whole large size pizza I literally found 3 tiny pieces of what I presume was the pulled pork. Very disappointed. I won’t go back there again because I think that was just a joke!!! So I wouldn’t waste your money!!!

Poor delivery. Normally ok. Used these a number of times waited over 1hr 20 and still waiting.

Disappointed, pizza was bland borderline tasteless, imagine hot butter on dough that would pretty much sum it up.

Really nice pizza,the staff are super friendly. There human and do make mistakes how ever they fix them promptly and are not jerks about it. The foods really nice. Ignore the haters ❤️

Well papa johns, I just wanted you to know that I think the way I was treated on the phone today was nothing but amazing 🤩!!!!!! I used the app and it must have defaulted back to a smaller pizza, I phoned the store at heanor and after a one minute conversation with the guy on the phone it was resolved. And I couldn’t be more happy with the service and pure speed. This is our 4th order now and we love it and recommend to everyone

Ordered a hawian pizza and came out with mushrooms on it (I'm allergic) so phone up to tell them and they said they would replace the pizza. Just over half an hour later the new pizza arrives so I open in front of the driver to find 3/4 of a pepperoni pizza, not even a whole pizza!!!!!!! Phones the shop spoke to the manager and all he said was he would cancel the order and refund in a few days meanwhile I guess I starve tonight!!!! Not the first time the have messed up but will be the last as will never use them again, it's beyond a joke!

Second time ordered from there was much better than the first. Food was hot and delivered within the hour.

Very nice pizza. Yes delivery does take longer than dominoes, about 35 minutes. But, it was really nice for a change and cheaper than dominoes!! Delivery lady was really nice. Dont listen to all the bad reviews.

First time ordering and it was amazing,pizzas sides and deserts,all hot,delivery driver was very polite didnt have to wait that long really,will most definitely be ordering from here in the near future!

My wife and I have just had 2 of the butternut squash gluten free pizza's and they were absolutely delicious. Loaded with topping, really good size (for GF) and the delivery was spot on. We will definitely be having them again 😀👍🍕

Not the best pizza ever but really good for takeaway pizza, great vegan and vegetarian options. My pizza took 1&½ hours to come but they were under staffed and very helpful when I called. I got about 3 extra chocolate scrolls and a £5 voucher without even having to complain.

2 hour wait for wrong food. Took it back another 45 min waiting the store with 5 other people who had the same issue to find out the delivery driver took it by accident. Utter joke of a paper johns

The wheels have come off again! People waiting over two hours for pizza. Not answering the phone and tiny store had 8 complaining customers in it! Won't be using again

DO NOT order from here! Waited 2 hours for my food, called them twice, both times they said the food wasn't even in the oven. Third time no answer. Gave up calling them in the end, went to store to get a refund but many other people were after the same thing, phone was constantly ringing. When I got there, there was a heated argument between staff and customers. One member of staff wasnt wearing a mask and was in his casual clothes cooking, not great having loads of people in the store shouting bearing in mind were in a pandemic. Currently waiting on refund, have contacted main office. Ordered Domino's in the end, took 15 minutes, arrived before I even got home. AVOID! EDIT: Still haven't received my refund after ordering over a month ago. Constantly ringing up, they apologise every time and say a manager will call me back. They never do...

Ordered 2 for Tuesday pizzas from heanor. Delivered within half hour. Very hot. Lovely taste definately order again

The worst take away experience i have ever had, dont know how they haven't sorted the teething problems out by now. AVOID! Ordered 2 pizzas a few weeks ago for collection at 5pm, when we arrived the shop was heaving with people also awaiting their food, and i had to wait in a cramped space for 40 minutes for our food, one of which being the completely wrong flavour. Tried to phone no ens of timea - no answer I then contacted customer services for a refund and was issued a voucher code for a free pizza. Went to collect this one tonight, ordered for collection at 6 pm, when we arrived the man said it would be 10 minutes, then the oven apparently went down so it would be another 10 minutes, and then another 20 on top. Finally received our correct order after waiting 50 minutes, thank god it was free

I dare you to order from here, waited 35 mins after my collection time to find they had the order completely wrong. Got another pizza for free after complaining. Second time collection was 35 mins after the time I ordered it for. Got told the ovens have broken, when all that needed changing was the gas as I overheard them. Got told to wait another 30 mins. Manager not wearing a mask along with other staff members too. Pretty pathetic considering were in a pandemic and elderly were trying to collect food too. In the end people collecting were told they can have a refund as they clearly can't handle the work load. Terrible management.

It seems like there are a bunch of reviews here that state that people have not received their delivery. I ordered today at about 16:30 and the pizza arrived at 17:00 just fine and still hot. So it appears that this site had some problems with their launch, however at least today pizzas were being delivered and within a reasonable timescale. However the quality is not fantastic, I ordered the All the Meats and a Chicken Club to share with the family, and the pizza was insanely greasy and just generally was a horrible experience, If it was my first time ordering from a Papa Johns chain, I would not order again. Basically this seems like a new Papa Johns that has opened up but it's not running as well as it could be yet, I've had Papa johns in the past (from the nearby Ilkeston branch) which was much better than it is from here. Give it a few months and hopefully the pizza is on par with Ilkeston's. If i order from here again in the near future I'll post an update. In the mean time, the local Dominos has quality far better than this specific Papa Johns in my opinion.

Judging from the flyer I got through the door the place has only just opened and I guess has a few teething problems so what on earth happened to Caroline Flacks world of #bekind and perhaps the season of goodwill (which extends to staff at fast food places too!!!!)........it's a takeaway order and last time I looked we weren't living in a famine stricken country with a lack of food (in fact as a country we actually waste too much edible food and have far too many clinically obese occupants so maybe if some people DIDN'T get their take away order the place might be doing you a favour!!) The 1 star reviewers in this world really do need to get a grip of themselves......is a few hours wait on food or a mucked up order really important when some people in this world have no food at all???! What if you had to grow your own food and your harvest failed?? Anyway as a first time order here and a first timer at Papa Johns in fact I thought the food was fab and good value. The vegan options are excellant and 2 large pizzas and starters has filled up 3 non overweight adults to bursting to be honest. We chose to pick our order up on the way back from work and the tracker told us exactly when our order was ready for collection and the staff looked busy but were really very pleasant. Thanks so much and to the lovely staff that I could see working so hard: 'No one ever built a statue of a criticiser'!!. .........let the 1 star reviewers make pizza at epic speed if they think they can!! Ordered food and it never showed up. Called and they said they were short on staff. 2 days after the store first opened. Still trying to get a refund a week later, they have said 3 times they will ring back "tomorrow" and never have. Went to head office about it and their response was.... the store will contact you in the next few days.

This place is a joke! I ordered a pizza meal last Friday, after waiting an hour I phoned over 16 times before I actually got an answer, eventually they answered and said they were a driver down and pizza would be with me in 15 mins it never turned up. I asked for refund, a week later still no refund so I foolishly decided to give them another try and have a pizza instead of refund today. I was told that because of the inconvenience I would be a priority customer and it would be here in 30-45 mins over an hour later....still no pizza so I called to cancel and demanded an immediate refund!! Absolutely disgusting service. Will never try Papa johns again and strongly advise others don’t either!!!

If your thinking of ordering from here don't bother. You'd think papa John's would be alright. But we waited 4 hours and after being lied to on the phone 3 times being told our pizza was in the oven and would be with us in the next half hour. We gave up and cooked. Our pizza arrived nearly 5 hours after we ordered. By this point we just refused the delivery. Will be seeking a refund asap. AVOID AT ALL COSTS, THEY CANT PROVIDE THE SERVICE THEY ARE OFFERING.

Ordered at half 6 tonight its 8pm my boyfriend had to go down there to see where our food was, got told hasn't even been made yet are you actually joking AVOID at all costs!!!!!

Took my order at 13.30 for a 5.30 delivery. Didnt turn up. I went down there and they were closed. Still trying to get my money back. Got an email saying sorry to keep.you waiting heres a voucher. Give me my money back. Avoid

I ordered day 1 it opened my pizza was cut in like a spiral massive bits on one side tiny tiny bits on other side, forgot 2 items, food was Luke warm but tastless phone staff was friendly but the delivery driver was ignorant and didn't speak. Stick to dominoes folk it will be worth it,

DON'T USE-Waited 2h for food, rang non stop for 30 min no answer, drove up there in the end and chaos, food piled everywhere, all been there ages and was going to give this to customers, 30 other people all there for the same reason. Manager screaming at staff for no reason. Not given an appolgy or reason why there was a delay for 45min. At 9.45 finally got told it was because they were short staffed but still accepting orders. No refund, you have to contact customer services and wait for them to issue it. Rediculus spend your money somewhere else.

Ordered at 19:00, it’s now 22:30 and still no pizza. Ordered from elsewhere and arrived in 40 minutes. Call the store to follow up or even cancel the order, sure, called 11 times, on hold for 8 minutes, or the call is just disconnected. Having to follow up to reclaim my refund. Very poor show!
