Pizza is pretty good but ever since they have "updated" their app/website we have had a 66% failure rate on placing orders. They will take the money out of your account but an error will be shown and your order will not be placed, the website will randomly decide you want delivery and there is no obvious way to change it to collection (I live 2 mins away, I don't need it delivered) and half the deals glitch out and will display the wrong price until you go to checkout, well thats if it lets you add it to your basket. Worst part is when you complain they say they are aware of issues... So why are you still taking orders knowing damn well the orders aren't going through? Pure incompetence by their head office. Had the same issue with payment at KFC, however my money was put back into my account immediately after realising the order had failed. This is what happens when you get the lowest bidder to make your website.

I called the restaurant to check on my order and was assured that the driver would deliver it very soon. Quarter of an hour later I got a call from the restaurant asking me to call the driver because she could not find me, why she could not call me I do not know. By the time I got my order it was cold.

Don't bother with this place. Argumentative staff ordered my pizza 1 hour too early then calls me and starts saying its ordered wrong when it's not. Fully expect my refund.

Food was of good quality but was 35 minutes late.

The delivery man ignored instructions, not to knock or ring door bell and just leave it by the door he DID ring door bell knocking and called my phone a few times...

Hot and fresh. App had a bit of a timing issue but in the right direction...and not the venue's fault. Tasty veggie two halfs huge pizza. All good, and I rarely seek out 🍕!

Order 3hr before and they where still 30minits late and doing other orders before ours poor service

Last year I had to give up Papa John's Shrewsbury branch as a go to place because the dough was always undercooked. It was borderline inedible. I made a complaint and they swore that nothing has changed from the original recipe. I gave them another attempt shortly after and it was still terrible. A year later, I gave them a second chance and they have fixed it. Whether it was a dough or oven issue, it's resolved and that's all I care about. I know they're a multi nation chain but the pepperoni pizza, when done right with a crispy base and crispy pepperoni, they can rival most pizza places. Delicious. Also props to the delivery guy who's always on time with a hot pizza.

When i order first time , the guy was really friendly and understandable i just explain to him nd he made pizza same and i loved pizza After that i order few times ,was better but from last two orders i am explaining to the lady what i wanted actually but she didnt wanted to understand may b , was really rude today and then she just cut off my call with rude manner after taking my order that was really annoying. When i got my pizza only lots tomato on the pizza with no cheese and pizza slices didnt cut properly . Really completely annoying and disappointing service today .

Very rude staff, rang up for 1 pizza and took 10 minutes to order. Told me to wait while he picked up a personal phone call then swore on the phone because he made a mistake. Didn't even apologise when we collected pizza. Very poor customer service.

Chicken wings tasted like methylated spirits or paint thinner, both me and my partner had to spit them out and rinse our mouths. The taste of chemicals took 10 minutes to leave our mouths. The store manager did not take this seriously, reporting he has smelt them and agrees there is an unusual smell to the chicken wings but it’s because they have been stored next to onions. Why on earth are chicken wings stored next to onions 🧐 We disputed this was not an onion taste. He refused to refund the chicken wings as this would mean he had to refund the whole order (this would have been entirely appropriate), offered to send more chicken wings (we declined). The chicken wings were inedible and clearly contaminated with something! Contacted the food standards agency as genuinely concerned for public health. After 2 weeks and a complaint direct to papa johns head office, we finally received a refund, not a refund of the whole order though… just the chicken wings. No apology for the poor service from their store manager either. No explanation as to why my mouth was contaminated with paint stripper. I’ll spend my money at dominoes and Pizza Hut from now on. Well done Papa Johns 👏🏼

Lovely flat bread, however about 4 small pieces of steak. Mainly cheese n peppers. Cooked fantasticly you can tell its 5* hygiene. A little bit more filling of choice. Everything else was fab. Id still use again.

The wrong dip was sent with my potatos. Also, the pizza and potatoes were only Luke warm on arrival.

Placed an order for delivery at 17.58, rang up at 19.10 to be told it's on the road which was a complete lie as when I rang up at 19.35 another colleague told me it's still in store waiting to be delivered. 🤬

Delivery arrived almost at the start of the estimate. Although I am not a vegan, that was the next best vegan meal I had (second only to Pizza Hut). If I could suggest an improvement, you could offer single serving portions for those eating alone like I was on that occasion.

Absolutely vile. Edit: Their vegan range is very nice, if your vegan it's great, if you're having a non vegan pizza though I wouldn't recommend it.

Just while I'm catching up on writing reviews for other places, i can't forget to write a review for this place to explain how useless they are. Back when covid started (March 2020 I believe i placed the order), I'd ordered a pizza with dips. After 2 hours, the pizza arrived stone cold with no dips, the driver was a bit aggressive and said it wasn't his fault, he will go back and get the dips but it may be another hour or so. I phoned the store and got through to someone who claimed to be a manager (laughable) I explained the situation saying it was unacceptable to have a stone cold pizza with only half the order delivered after waiting 2 hours. Obviously i was annoyed with this, but to make the situation worse, rather than trying to fix it he hung up the phone on me instead. I called back, even more angry, he agreed to send a replacement pizza. the replacement also took 2 hours, also was stone cold but at least i had the over priced dips. Subsequently I am no longer a customer of this place and never shall be again. Plenty more great places out there for a much cheaper price and way better service. thanks for doing me a favour, it's another venue that's literally lost thousands and thousands of pounds from me

Phillips mushroom papadias usually good but today is utterly useless, hardly any filling and absolutely NO sauce. See photo. Whoever made this has been given no training or is just clueless. Wanted to post NO stars out of 5 but this not a option.

Very arrogant service , The girl pretends she cant understand english , Rude arrogant horrible staff . When they know they've done wrong they just wave there arms about talking to each other in non english . until sum1 goes to make a order then the English is very very good ... Gave us an hour estimated wait time for a tub of Ben and jerrys , and then it was 20 minutes late to that? How does it take that long to take a tub out the fridge

Delivery time was reasonable for the cuisine and the distance from the outlet. However, I would have liked it if there was more detailed delivery information such as the order being on its way. I would also like to be able to order single serving portions for when I am eating alone. I am also willing to pay a little extra for a smaller delivery e.g. it is £1.50 more for small orders at some takeaways.

The chicken was not very well cooked at all

The only notification from restaurant was to say they had received order no updates on progress of order until delivery guy rang doorbell. The pizza was average , potatoes lukewarm, garlic bread was hard and inedible. Not very impressed!!!

An horrendous service from Papa Johns! Food was about 15 minutes late so I called and they said that they didn’t check the machine and therefore didn’t see my order so I had to wait another hour! Refused to give me a discount of any kind! I had to in total wait an hour and 45 minutes! Absolutely ridiculous I won’t be ordering from here again!!!!

I never received my order, when I called the restaurant they were unable to answer any of my questions or explain when can I expect my order and they couldn’t offer a refund or someone senior I can speak to until the next day. Appalling customer service. Would never bother ordering from them again

Base over dun and I might of well ordered a margarita there that few toppings. Oh there wasn't hardly any of that either mostly puffed up dough with 6 pieces of tiny mushroom I think that's wot it was. 8 bits of sweetcorn 10 chunks of tomato. So not worth theoney and this is the 3rd pizza I've tried. Never again will I order a PAPA JOHNS 2 TIGHT 2 STINGEY

It was delivered on time and the delivery driver was very pleasant and friendly.

The food arrived so late (45 minutes after estimated delivery time and 1.5 hours after ordering) that I had to leave and could not eat it.

Wish there was one closer to home.

Food was running late so I called the restaurant to get an update, they told me it was on its way. 20 minutes later I called again to see what was happening only to be told that my order had not actually been received; the gentleman on the phone blamed “Just Eat” for not communicating the order to them. In the end, and only on the basis that my money had already been taken, I chose to collect the order which I could have done in the first place. Shocking service.

Ordered large “all the meats” pizza. When it arrived it was more like find the meat! Disgusting seeing as it cost over £20. 😡

Awful, food was cold, came an hour late and my order wasn't right. Paid extra for a stuffed crust and it was a normal crust, the drink was wrong too.

Pizza sauce missing again, ordered 4 of them

Usually excellent, however on the last visit the dough on the pizza was over cooked, and tasted stale. Most of it went in the bin! Haven't been back since, will stick to Domino's in future.

ordered at 21:30 understanding it would probably take a while due to it being the Euros, it has been marked as delivered at 23:08, checked my door step too see if I missed the bell or door knocked, No food, waited till 23:15 then requested a time check off just eat after not hearing back from that after 10 minutes I tried to call to realise they closed at 23:00.

Delivery driver was bang on time and very polite. Food was delicious will be ordering again :)
