Papa Johns Pizza in Central Bedfordshire

Never received my order. Driver tried to deliver to the wrong address and never tried to contact me. Waited an hour and had to call the restaurant. It’s now too late to order from another place so I don’t eat tonight. Extremely angry.

The customer service is absolutely disgusting. They are rude and do not what to help what so ever with a order. The way they speak to you is so rude. Avoid like the plaque

Drivers from different nationalities (but not theirs) feel harassed by Papa John's manager to not pick up orders from their restaurant. He reports drivers to Uber with a fake reason and get into shouting and altercations with us. The manager just tolerate drivers speaking their language.

Food was delivered and pizzas were good. The buffalo chicken was brownish grey on the inside and tasted old. Also purchased the melting doughnuts which arrived frozen still. Won’t be purchasing from here again. Waste of money

Decided to have a collection. Ordered online at 740 and waited 20 mins to say it was ready for collection. Went in there and there was about 3 other delivery drivers waiting too. There was only one man serving customers and also making the pizzas (5** rating for him, but also shouldn't of been in there on his own). We waited about 45 minutes for our pizzas. The man deserves alot of credit and a pay rise!! I think that headquarters or customer service need to know about the lack of staff working in there tonight (23 4 2025) I even had to ask him if it was just him on his own and he said they were short staffed. He did give us a free bottle of drink and apologised. So not the guys fault it took soo long

Pizza's were very substandard. Taste and consistency just wasn't there. Don't know what they've changed but the bases were odd.

Rude delivery driver, food was cold on arrival, delivery took far too long so had to call and chase it and the food was nothing to shout about. Avoid

Ordered a £49 order that was never delivered. It was ordered through uber eats. I rang ethe manager who told me he didmnt care if my order was delivered it wasnt his problem. He had worked like this for 4 years and doesnt feel responsible in anyway. I havent tsted his foof but if thats his attitude I am nto sure he would care about food or hygiene

Apart from the order being late, some of the order looks like it had been REHEATED and some of it was burnt, Also I had left Instructions for the order to be delivered to my front door. Instead it was left outside in the Car Park and not at my door.

Absolutely shocking service. Placed an order for delivery which included a vegan pizza and a non-dairy ice cream. The regular ice cream turned up. It’s for someone with a dairy allergy so it was totally unusable. We rang as soon as it was delivered to ask for a refund or replacement, thinking it’s an easy mistake to make and would be a quick solution. Instead the shop was so rude and dismissive, they talked over us, refused a refund or replacement. They offered to comp us a free ice cream next time but after the way they had spoken to us we didn’t want to order again. We were left with no resolution and they couldn’t care less. Our previous orders took a very very long time to arrive, over 1.5 hours (and we had to ring up to chase delivery) but now with them so rude about an allergy we won’t be ordering again. It’s unsafe.

Uber lost the first order. The poor guys at papa John’s then remade and delivered themselves

Papa John's is my favourite takeaway pizza but recently the quality hasn't been good.We ordered some pizzas that were meant to be double pepperoni and another with double ham and they barely put any toppings on! We counted about 2 pieces of ham per slice,quite pathetic! Hope they up the toppings or we won't be giving them another chance.Wish I would have taken photos and added them on.

Ordered 2 pizza’s off the app. My pizza is missing a segment of pizza from it. It looks like whoever has cut it has taken abit for themselves and pushed the pizza back together. Rang up to ask what is going on. Person on the phone was extremely rude and said he’ll send out another pizza. I’m not going to receive another pizza from them as I don’t even trust what they would do to it now I’ve complained, especially considering someone has clearly help themselves to it already. Absolutely furious

Don’t bother!!!! We waited for well over an hour for a pizza that would have been better if I had picked it up from the frozen isle in Tesco. It was stone cold on delivery, chilli’s were burnt and I could count on one hand how much ground beef was on this! Appalling considering how much they charge for these!

Received a random call from here, called them back saying I haven't ordered a pizza, dont call me. Staff were extremely rude.

Made an order today at around 10:20pm.. my meal deal included a large 1.5 litre of Pepsi Max and they have delivered me regular bottle of Pepsi.. I hate regular Pepsi.. also I ordered a Bulls Eye Works pizza and you can't taste any of the BBQ base because they have put barely any on the base.. tastes like a regular Works Pizza.. disappointing and annoying.

Service is great and pizza is just sooooo good

Estimated arrival was 18:50. Arrived at 19:27, food was cold. Called at 19:20 as app said food had been delivered at 19:10 - PaPa Johns informed us it was on its way and then hung up. Would not look to order from there again.

The food was an hour late and when I rang up to see how long the food was going to be they kept putting the phone down

This order was just ridiculous and I felt I’d been lied too, The app indicated 1 time and the reality left me waiting stranded next to a reception desk of a fishing lake with zero communication, I then rang the store at which point I believe my food was only cooked after I’d reminded them about my order (40 mins from online order) The driver looked baffled and mentioned traffic which was totally nonsense, I had my child with me and lots of fishing equipment exposed because of this situation :)

I had a pepperoni Pizza and it was delicious. The crust was pure perfection and the pizza itself was crafted and made perfectly. The guy was great he was wearing and red shirt and black hat. He was really nice and honest. I will definitely be returning back to this Papa Johns. It is most definitely one of the best I’ve ever been too and service made it all 10/10 for me.

This is my 3rd time ordering delivery, 1st time took over and hour and a half 2nd time took over an hour And 3rd time it’s coming up to an hour now and still no food. What is the point in allowing people to track their order is you’re going to mark it as delivered before it’s even left the building.

Absolutely appalling the manager on the phone told me the driver had knocked and called. I have received no calls nor have I had a knock at the door. I was sat outside waiting when I got the update on delivery as I thought it would be hard for the driver to find us, the manager told me he threw the food away because it was called the other address which is the same as this has a different post code so I’ve been lied to im so unhappy and told me he would not make us anything more.

My first and last order from a Papa Johns Pizza. This is quite literally the worst pizza I've ever had. My order arrived at room temperature. The dough was very tough and chewy, and worst of all, it's even worse when reheated? How do you mess up Pizza that bad???

Gave papa John's another try after the last time they failed miserably. Ordered a club pizza without onion. Recieved a club pizza with no bacon and what seemed like extra onion... its not that difficult.

There was a bit of plastic on my pizza which I unfortunately but in to.

It’s alright foods cheep with the 50 percent off after 30 quid spent but apart from that turned up 25 mins late but driver was nice 3/5 foods okayish lots of it for cheep did not say that the quasadia would have onion so my kid who doesn’t eat onion was disappointed but that’s about it really

Disgusting! Barely any toppings or fillings and extremely oily. Whoever made our order needs retraining! Usually not this bad: ordered many times from here before. Yuck!!

They didn’t remember the clocks went back and it was super late. Then it turned up wrong didn’t bother to call back up to complain as was hungry. Really disappointed as we always use papa johns for pizza every week. New pizza place it is then….

Ordered last night at 22:03. Food arrived finally at 00:15 after we had eaten something else for dinner and gone to bed!! A very flustered sounding delivery driver called and said he was "outside your door" which he wasn't so I had to go out and find him wandering around the alleyways near where we live. Clearly not his fault and he said it was ridiculously busy (due to them running an offer with not enough staff to make or deliver the food!). Food was cold and at that point pointless to receive as we were all in bed even if the phone call at gone midnight had woken the entire house up! Order had said "delivered" online at around 11pm just as the store officially closed so I imagine this was marked as done to enable them to clear it on the system whilst the poor driver had to go off and deliver after his shift had finished. Tried to call after this and no answer at all. Many of the 5* reviews on here are fake and made by staff members in the store. Avoid if you are looking to receive actual "fast" food :/
