The person on the phone was really help full but the manager couldn’t help with the slightest of problems had me waste best part of 50 pound on pizza didn’t get🫵🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

Really nice good value hot pizza made fresh to order. I was standing watching him make the pizzas and a young lady fresh ready to order.

Avoid this place like the plague. Ordered all the meats pizza waited 45 minutes only to be told it had exploded in the oven and had to remake. Waited further 30 mins and when the pizza arrived no cheese whatsoever. Asked for refund which they were not really happy in doing. Paid by card give this back as cash.

I have not got any food till now

waited nearly 2 hrs for food and when arrived was cold. driver extremely rude and making excuses of traffic, then it was as busy and then the order got lost. just talking rubbish. when refund requested this was refused and manager of store said food could be 3 min or 45min he doesn't know. basically telling is well get it when they decide or even if they decide

Pizza arrived in super fast time and great communication with restaurant however, the pizza, potato tops and popcorn chicken were extremely undercooked. The pizza was just a sloppy mess, and potatoes were inedible. As for the free cookie, this was at the opposite end of the Spectrum, completely over Cooked and almost crisp like.

I am extremely diisappointed in the driver, clearly stated to come to car park opposite the pub and instead, driver went and left my food in the pub. It was very busy in there and the whole reason I ordered take out is because I didn't want to go in there so it defeated all purposes..

I ordered a month ago got a call back stating their oven is not working so they would not be able to make my order and that they'd process a refund, currently still waiting on the refund and when I try to contact they will not puck up the phone. This is ridiculous and I will never again purchase from this company and I will be telling everyone I know how awful the service is.

DAY 10 of waiting for my refund. No pizza delivered even though paid for. I'm STILL waiting for a refund. I have chased this multiple times now. Your company is an absolute farce. Refund back in my account after hounding them for over a week. The final straw was making their phone ring for 2 hours as they obviously didn't fancy answering. Hopefully it either pissed them off or at least blocked their lines, enough to make them ask the office to hurry up and make my payment. I vow to never use a Papa John's again in my life.

Run by 12 year olds that can’t say sorry for making a mistake - got order time wrong and forgot to deliver. Lad on front till didn’t apologise and was too bothered that our refund might take 3-5 working days than just setting up the refund. A Tesco meal deal has better service

Thought id give it another go. That was a mistake. 40 mins after order the shop calls me to ask where I am. 40 mins after that the delivery guy calls to say he can't find me. He calls 10 mins later to state he still can't find me. I called shop for refund. Update 4days later. The vile manager will do all he can to avoid calls. Still no refund despite me going in...(suprise suprise) he wasn't there. So sadly I'm going to have to do things the old fashioned way. Slimey lying. Fraudulent individual.

On numerous occasions have ordered from here, money taken, will then receive a call stating a certain item is unavailable or no delivery driver available. When a refund is required it won’t just be given, you have to pester customer services from main office (as usually no answer from Newquay branch) to look into the case and only then will it be sorted (weeks after) Tonight I ordered a free pizza, compliments due to the bad service I’ve recently experienced and enquired as to where it is as it’s been over an hour and I have not received. They said they’d look into for me. I have just had a call saying the pizza was taken by ‘just eat’ and it’s not their problem now, even though I didn’t order through ‘just eat’ or even have a ‘just eat’ account! I like the pizza but the hassle, constant mistakes and chasing up is just ridiculous. Will stick with Dominoes from now on.

Ordered a pizza at 16.00 for delivery at 18.30 it’s now 19.30, and the order has been cancelled Shocking Service wasting your time.. staff asked me if I could come and collect it NO, that’s why I ordered it Pucking 2 1/2 hours before I wanted it…. they really need to sort this out. Placed an order close to £100. The store then calls me and fumbles around the fact that they don’t have a driver. I say I will come and get it myself, they said come in 20 minutes. I arrive on time, food takes an extra 20 minutes of waiting inside. No apologies, but they did make it easier to carry everything to the car by forgetting to make one of the pizzas. I’ll just use Doninos next time!! 👎👎

Vwry long wait for a simple pizza

I logged a complaint with Papa John's Pizza Newquay store on 7th August after i placed an order at 714pm and it arrived stone cold at 8:36pm. When i called at 8pm i was told it will be there in 5/10mins if i had known that was the truth i would have cancelled then. Now i know i have spoken to the manager before but he claims nothing was logged when i called on the day and the next day. Nearly 3 weeks on they have still not processed my refund.. I called the store again yesterday and spoke to manager jordon and asked where my refund was and asked for an email to say my refund was going to be issued but still nothing (which is what i expected as i think they are hoping its going to go away).

Went in last week was actually in the shop and told I have to order on the app and my phone had no battery. Awfull service will never go again

Ordered 4 pizzas received email 20 minutes after delivery time saying no driver available, reordered to collect to be told the store was closing and they are not making the order, no call or message to let us know, good job dominos didn’t let us down

The order was taken fast and processed quickly. The waiting time is normally 10 minutes and on busy times its 30 minutes. The pizza was very tasty and the price is good for the food delivered

Ordered £30 worth of food for delivery which after 2 hours didn’t show, checked the app and it said it had been delivered, tried to phone them and the phone rang for 30 minutes with no answer. After waiting patiently we went down to papa Johns for there to be what looked 2 children working unattended and when we explained the situation they just grabbed our order from under the heat lamp. Restaurant was empty and didn’t look busy and their phone was ringing and ignored by the other employee while we were there. Would never order or eat here again! To top it of the food was cold and bland. Not worth spending £30. If you want a good pizza then I would go to dominoes 110%.

This might be the worst takeaway in the Country. Ordered from here multiple times and every time there has been an issue. The orders have been wrong and I've had to ask the delivery drivers to go back and replace the food. This time I phoned up to make sure they'd get my order right, the woman on the phone told me she had made it wrong and "do I want her to make it again" the reason I have to modify my order is due to an allergy and she sounded like I'd just insulted her mum by asking her to remake it. It has now been over two hours since I placed the order and I still haven't received it, I have phoned 20 times since and never get an answer. If it could get to the store to find out where it is myself I would. It is actually awful how lacking in professionalism or care for anything this site is!!

Had a Philly steak that literally had no steak on it. Served by a moody teen with no customer service skills and who clearly didn’t want to be there. Disappointing.

Ordered a pizzas 3 weeks ago was absolutely disgusting was dry and hardly no toppings cheese like expanding foam contacted right away and requested for a refund they said it will Be in my bank in 3- 5 days still nothing been in store 3 times now to request for it and all they can do is nothing we can do disgusting customer service all rude no hygiene and just DONT CARE.

Worst pizza I’ve ever seen in my life. Pizza was soaked in oil like a towel and couldn’t even eat because consistency was like mashed potatoes

Delivery was very slow, and the pizza was undercooked, soggy, had hardly any toppings, and was missing some crusts. We tried to call to complain but they did not pick up, even after a considerable wait.

Ordered over £30 of food and nothing turned up. The website said the shop was open and taking orders but in reality the shop was closed. Money was taken out of my account and still hasn't been refunded a month later. I have phoned up 4 times now to request a refund and each time have been told to wait 5 days. Shocking customer service! A previous order saw food arrive that was also poor quality. Will never go to this branch again and urge anyone else to AVOID it! If you want this style of pizza, Dominos is 100% the better option.

Ordered a pizza at 9 , was rung up about 30 mins later telling us that they had run out of ingredients and dough , money comes back in 5 days. Very annoyed, how do you run out of ingredients and dough ?

I would like to firstly express that I really enjoyed the food and that it’s tasted delicious and the waiting time on a Saturday evening (for someone who walked in to order a takeaway) was only 15-20 minutes which is amazing especially as I could see all the online orders flooding in. However, we ordered 2 medium pizzas both with stuffed crust, garlic bread and wedges but when we got to the hotel we had 2 regular medium pizzas (with one of the toppings missing from the create your own), cookies and dough balls. The main reason we didn’t go back to get the order changed was because we really wanted those cookies now we’d seen them 🙈 and we couldn’t be asked to walk back out (and we ate a slice each of pizza that’s how we knew there was no stuffed crust and a missing topping). I do believe if we had gone back to change the order the staff would have fixed it because the staff this evening were very friendly. So over all : amazing tasting food and friendly service, a notable mixup on order

Only giving 1 star as have to this place deserves 0 star! Order arrived 1h30 after pre arranged time. Items missing cant contact them as they don't answer the phone. So you get charged for items that you don't get.....ripofff

Friendly service. Excellent offer on just now for collection of pizzas. Service was quick. Pretty much standard for most of the Papa John's I have tried previously.

This place is opposite our hotel so we decided to give it a try. We ordered a pizza and they delivered to our hotel. It was nice. Pizza was excellent. Staff was helpful.

Ordered maybe 8 times so far and it's always been great and delivery never more than 30 mins. Shocked to see so many bad reviews.

I ordered online for delivery on 29th April. I was called and informed they had to shut earlier because they ran out of cheese. I was promised (on the next delivery) free pizza and 2 sides to compensate my points I spent( you can't get them back otherwise) and refund for what I've paid. 12th may and I still did not received my refund, they do not pick up phone when I am trying to call them.

Ordered a sausage and pepperoni pizza and chicken side with a drink. Ordered at 7.05pm deprived 8.43pm not a great start Pizza was stone cold and looked like someone had dropped it or thrown it on floor. Chicken side was wrong chicken and no dip and paid for extra Delivery driver forgot drink and asked me to go and pick it up so she didn’t have to come back Worst pizza I have had will never order again.

Ordered two XXL pizzas with stuffed crust neither had stuffed crust, spent over 15 minutes on hold on a random Monday in march an no reply. Charged 49p per sauce from a sassy manager 0.345/10 would not go again. Dominoes just down the road

Upon arrival i was told we have no deals but ask our manager thats outside smoking when he comes in then asked the pizza guy what his best pizza is and he said i dont know so i bought a pizza for 14 quid which was mediocre at best rubbish all round really.

Ordered for delivery for 7.30pm and it didn’t arrive until 8.15pm, called the store and all they said was they were busy and the driver was out. I gave them a second chance and ordered again from the same store. This time when tracking the order it said “checking” at 6.25pm and then “on its way” not until 7.25pm. The food then didn’t arrive until 8pm. When the food was delivered it was all cold so we had to reheat the food in the oven. Very poor delivery service, won’t be using again.

I was recommended this pizza place by shay rouffignac and ever since I have never ordered a pizza from anywhere but papa John's the short delivery driver Vladimir is rapid and speedy and shay on the electric bike has one of the fastest delivery time I have seen maybe even faster than Vladimir.

Teens loves their pizza and lots of veggie/vegan options which is a bonus.

Papa john's service was excelent compared to domino's i would Pick papa john's for my pizza saturday night all the Time and great service by the Young teen lad aswell awesome team awesome food

I have to say after reading the reviews it was a bit of a gamble ordering from here, but I was pleasantly surprised, order ready on time, piping hot and tasted fab 😊👍 will definitely be back.

Got the feed the fam deal after we heard a recent recommendation from someone to try this place out. Initially food seemed good and tasty but my partner experienced abdominal pain the next day, whilst I had to keep in mind access to toilet facilities throughout the course of our Saturday of errands (upset tummy). Wasn't sure it was this takeaway that had caused it until I finished the remaining slice's I had yesterday evening (Sunday) and have woken up with aggressive abdominal pain & upset tummy. Personally won't be a returning customer as the food isn't worth feeling this unwell!

Not awful but basic, could have got the same satisfaction out of a frozen pizza which would have cost me £2/£3. Delivery was very slow, waited over an hour & the gentleman on the phone had an attitude that he really couldn’t care less. Won’t go again will go to the other very well known chain located in Newquay.

Excuse the username… Without a doubt the most disappointing pizza I’ve ever eaten, and I ordered two! The “Chicken Fajita” pizza was just chicken and chunky tomatoes, and seemed to lack anything else resembling fajitas, including the advertised spice, and my bbq meat feast was over done and tasted awful. Presumably the kitchen staff don’t care about the food they’re making, or aren’t paid enough to care. Whichever one it is, I will be suggesting nobody orders anything from here. The jalapeño poppers were jalapeño poppers :)

Tasteless pizza. Was really looking forward to trying this place out but was really disappointing. Make tastier pizzas myself for a fraction of the price.

Companies slogan is better food, better ingredients. Not sure what they are comparing their ingredients to, frozen 99p supermarket pizzas maybe. Wasn't nice at all, base was supposed to be thin and crispy which is wasn't, base and toppings weren't tasty. I'd rather eat a dominos and they are terrible as well! If you want a decent pizza in Newquay you have so many better options and cheaper alternatives.

Pizza was great and so was the service.

I visit the street regularly and it has never had a PJ. Even their own website says the nearest one is some 45 miles away! The public are banned from entering this private premises, they don't have enough staff to open it, predictably. No one has ever been served food or drink there, therefore its the worst restaurant ever. If you're going to open a review page, before you've opened the restaurant - expect bad reviews!
