was not impressed, noddles tasted burnt, chicken balls and spring rolls were soggy and Rice was overcooked and Mushy.

Pretty terrible. Late, cold, bland. Wish I’d had a pot noodle.

Food wasn’t the best, not all the food was hot and the salt n pepper shredded chicken wasn’t edible.

Only a small order, yung chow chow mein and barbecue spare ribs but it was delicious. Delivered early and still nice and hot. Definitely want to try something else next time!

We booked a takeaway for 12 people at 4.00pm. For collection at 7.00pm. We were on our way home at 7.00. Food was all different and all hot. Very tasty. Will use again.

Ordered sweet and sour chicken, got prawn crackers which smele awful on the way home, like they had used old unclean oil, the sweet and sour was awful, not sure if real chicken. Didn't even attempt the prawn crackers they went straight in the bin. Won't go there again

We've ordered from them, been told food will arrive within an hour ,waited for 1.5 hours,rang them ,have been told that driver is leaving liturally now ,another half hour ,nothing rang again ,woman on the other end was rude and just hang up on us when were asked why is it taking so long ,considering we live around the corner.Avoid ,rude and careless to their customers

The curry was runny. The rice was good. But the sesame toast was saturated with oil and just tasted of oil. It made me unwell......

The sauce in the box meal was cold and congealed and poured on top of the chicken balls which were rock solid yet somehow soggy at the same time. Half of the egg fried rice had then clung to the chicken balls. The noodles and spring rolls were the only thing edible

Order was late even after I'd called to find out where my order was, They refused to do anything to compensate for the late delivery.. Noodles were like rubber, Chicken balls were over cooked and the chips were dry and cold..

The only thing that bothered me was the delivery. Was a young child. Had the bag in his hand, excited the car and spat, while holding the bag over it. The bag Is closed but not nice to see??

Just had a takeaway from here and it's the worst Chinese meal I've ever had. I had a chicken curry with rice and spring roll. The chicken was in square cubes,wonder if its even real chicken tbh :/ and it tasted horrid, no seasoning at all. The curry sauce was lacking any flavour whatsoever. Spring rolls were overcooked and lacking flavour. My son ordered a vegetarian option only to be delivered the meat version ( 2nd time that's happened too ) Total waste of money...Will never go back here.

Bitterly disappointed with this order. I’ve not had many issues ordering in the past, in fact the food has normally been really good. This time however, my order was wrong, I was sent mixed meat noodles instead of my vegetarian noodles and when ringing up, they apologised but wouldn’t send out my veggie ones, so the main part of my meal was now a waste. The food was tasteless, no seasoning and the rice I did have, was incredibly undercooked. My mum couldn’t finish her dish. Very disappointing.

Just moved into the local area. We had heard great things and thought we would give Golden city a try. We were not disappointed and we will be returning. Collection was quick and hassle free. Very friendly and welcoming.

I order from this place regularly with my partner and family. This time , I’m extremely appalled. The food arrived cold, and mainly veg. The driver only arrived 10 mins late but the food was ice cold. The next day I had D and V, shocking. Unfortunately lost long standing customers. Gutted.

Not tasty, not fresh - we had ribs, honkong chicken and shredded beef, all meats were long after their prime, chewy and dried out. Almost 2 hours to deliver.

Pre ordered for my food to arrive at 7:30, miraculously AFTER I submitted my food was late the time changed to 8pm saying it was being prepared! It wasn’t clearly as my food arrived cold!

Our first time ordering Chinese and it was great! Hot yummy food and generous portions.

Not too late delivery, but when the driver arrived she was sullen and thrust the bag at me with barely a word. I'd called the restaurant to ask if it was on the way as it had been logged as "on it's way" for nearly half an hour and then it ran over. I was assured it had only recently left the restaurant and traffic was to blame (we're a 5 minute walk away). Being a Friday evening, I didn't press and sure enough, it arrived a few minutes later. The food actually wasn't particularly warm, let alone hot, plus one of the dishes had exploded in the bag and covered everything. The Sweet and Sour sauce stained my fingers orange when I took it out the bag, suggesting food colouring is used. The Lemon Chicken was chewy on the outside, hardly cut into pieces, batter was overcooked and when I peeled some back on the leftovers the chicken looked freezer burnt. It all actually tasted OK, and portion sizes are good, but the chicken texture was really unpleasant. There was something bright orange in with it and I discovered it was a piece of pork (I have photos). Food hygiene standards a concern, but we had already eaten. The prawns were fine (I hope - we'll find out tomorrow). Egg Fried Rice fine. Was debating one or two stars, as it isn't the worst I've ever had and I've ordered from them before, but the poor food hygiene standards I can't forgive. I don't like feeling nervous for my child's and my health after a meal.

Sadly won’t eat from here again. I’m not usually compelled to write reviews but maybe it’ll help improve the quality of the food which was at best not very nice and worst - disgusting. Worse Chinese we have ever had and will go elsewhere. Tasteless, soggy and cold by the time we got it home. Really disappointed after spending over £40. Wish we had the read the reviews before ordering. :(
