Papa John's Pizza in South Somerset

When you get stone cold food with half the order missing - ring the store to be told that in order to get my remaining items I need to order more food?

We ordered on Papa John's website, was delivered and we were missing a side. We called and were told that the driver had stolen out side. Asked what will happen now and they said they don't have a driver now till Wednesday. It's 7pm on Saturday so definitely a lie. We are now trying trying to get a refund which is also tricky

Ordered twice In the last month. Pizza arrive always warm. Plus for driver who always text me if he will be late even one minute. Pizza dough is done really amazing plus cooked perfectly. The sauces are a bit worse, but it's worth it for the pizza itself. It's not overloaded especially with Fat.

0 star if possible. Food took 1.5 hours to get "delivered". Food was not delivered and was "stolen" by driver Was told a refund wasn't a possibility I'd have to pick one up (what about the money for delivery?) In store was no help whatsoever said I'd have to call HQ which "is open" @10pm? (It wasn't) And had to complain online (total 1 hour). 2.5 hours wasted, no pizza and no money. What a joke. Don't bother

Yet again i ordered from here over an hour and a half wait . On top of this I had to ring them to get an update. With little to no sympathy or care that they had allowed this order to be delayed so long . I love papa johns, but this is the last time I will ever use the shop in Yeovil. I would be very interested to analyze the data set they have for late or missed deliveries in the last 12 months. The amount of money and supplies they must waste on handing out compensation vouchers, id imagine is very high . Avoid this location if you want to wait hours and have terrible customer service . I'm not sure who holds this franchise location, however if it was me I'd be looking into the management of the store.

Avoid YEOVIL store You will NOT get a refund. Worst company for customer service In 2023 I ordered 5pm never got delivery. I stuipidy thought I'd try again 2024 and same happens NO one answers phone . Facebook people get back to you being sarcastic Not helpful . This isn't the odd case happens all the time, others do not warn people No idea how it's still open. !

I really encourage anyone to avoid ordering from here. I could write war and piece on why but they have taken up enough of my time. Horrendous

Order took 2 hours to arrive and was stone cold on arrival. Checking and cutting was complete on the app 1 hour and 40 minutes before arriving. Attempts to contact the store via phone multiple times was unsuccessful, phone just rang continuously. Hoping customer services get back to me. Note: the delivery driver was very polite and arrived quickly after receiving a message to say he was on the way. Would not recommend.

Absolutely terrible!! Food never arrived despite it saying it had been delivered. Spent 30mins on the phone to them and no one picked up! Ended up driving to the shop and waiting 50mins for them to make the order.

Waited 2 hours for cold pizza. Rang after an hour and was told the delivery man was outside was then cut off! Rang back when the 2 hours hit demanding a refund to then be argued with saying I can’t have one, asked for the manager and apparently he wasn’t there.. funny that! Won’t be ordering again!

Ordered on the app, the order was wrong because they didn’t have the ingredients in. Didn’t tell us on collection so when we rang up they made lots of excuse’ told us to complain to head office. Will go somewhere else next time.

The first time we have ordered with you for a long time , quite disappointed, all pizzas were Luke warm and had to be reheated and both potato tots we ordered were hard and under cooked, when you spend £100 on an order you don't expect service like this, we will certainly think twice before ordering with you again.

Pizza arrived all smashed up, wrong dip provided and delivery driver couldn’t follow simple instructions to deliver to my address after reciting the instructions to him multiple times.

I recently ordered from Papa John's Pizza in Yeovil, and I was really pleased with the experience! The pizza arrived fresh and hot, with a perfect balance of toppings and cheese. The crust was just the right amount of crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, which is exactly what I look for in a great pizza. The delivery was prompt, and the staff were friendly and professional. I also appreciated the variety on the menu, with options for everyone, including vegetarians. The garlic dipping sauce that came with the pizza was a nice touch, and I’d definitely recommend it for extra flavor. This is the first time I’ve used papa johns. And definitely the last. I ordered at 17.32 and it arrived, cold at 19.05. I tried to call them to explain exactly where I was, as I was just visiting locally, the Asian guy I spoke to was extremely rude. And half way through me talking, he simply hung up. He told me 40 minutes. But was actually 90 minutes. I tried to ring back, and as soon as I started talking (calmly) he hung up. I’ve never had such rude and awful service. Never again!!!!

We did an Order and collect about an hour ago. The undersides of both our Large pizzas was hard and burnt. Absolutely disgusted. £27 to treat ourselves because I’m ill…. Never again.

Scum of the earth. Refused to take our order for no reason whatsoever. Basically couldn't understand the order we we wanted and refused to take an order and told us to order online due to postcode. Rang again and was rude and again refuse order. Go Pizza Hut

In regards to atmosphere. I must say the fresh breeze from standing for an hour waiting for them outside is somewhat, refreshing. Service is shoddy. English is not a language spoken there trust me. Difficulty in communication is present. For the owner reading said comments, download: Duolingo. I tried this place 3 times. Gave them the chance. Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me three times, shame on pizza! Food is good however, almost makes the waiting worth while.

Really enjoy the pizza, but the service is awful, last visit I ordered a pizza, got notified it was ready to collect, went in, the guy said about 3 mins, so I waited and I waited, and the guy never came back, about 10 minutes went by and 2 people came in, but the guy never came out again, one was from Uber eats, who after about 10mins cancelled his collection and left, I shouted through that I wanted to cancel but got ignored, eventually after 30minutes my order came out along with the other person who had stayed, I said, what happened to 3 minutes? But just got ignored again, no apology or anything for lying, they hadn't even made my pizza until after I'd got into the store, which was 25minutes after I ordered.

Did place an order for collection it’s says on the tracking app ready to collect pop in the store they’ve told me to wait had to wait another 15 minutes don’t even deserve a start to be honest!!!!

Ordered a pizza for delivery, the box was labelled correctly but the wrong pizza was inside. Took an age of me constantly ringing until someone answered the phone, only to be told they weren't able to do anything about it. Don't waste your money!

Good delivery, can't fault that. Driver was polite. They failed to deliver the bottle of drink. Called 3 times and still never received it. The person on the phone clearly mugged me off 3 times saying he will speak to the driver. This was clearly not the driver fault but the location that the pizza was dispatched from. The company need to review the actions as the staff members need to be questioned on why somthing so simlple was missed. I shouldn't have to call 3 times just over a bottle over an hour and a half.

Ordered a medium pizza for collection that was a freebie from my last delivery taking over an hour. Was told 20 minutes for collection so I arrived after 10 minutes. I waited in the shop for 30 minutes before being acknowledged by staff. Then waited another 15 minutes for my pizza. After my 5 minute walk home the pizza wasn't sliced and was cold.

Waited over two hours for our food, For it to arrive cold, when we rang the store to ask where our food was we were told it's just being quality checked. To then wait further 45 minutes.

I am a big fan of this location. It is opposite an off license so I can pickup all I need for a great time. The food is good with parking nearby. Quick service and nice employees.

We Had a Delivery. I looked on the tracker and it said the pizzas were with me ( Delivered ) But they didn't get delivered for another 20 minutes after that and they were only just warm , so we had to put them in the oven to heat up ☹️ It's a shame as the pizzas we had were tasty. BUT not much topping? All the meats and a chicken club Look nothing like the pictures.

Order arrived over an hour later than suggested. Ordered 2 pizzas, chicken poppers and cauliflower bites with an extra dip. 1 pizza was so overcooked it was actually crispy. The other (a vegan one) didn't have the requested adjustments and we're pretty sure had regular cheese. The chicken poppers were covered in black burnt bits and the cauliflower bites were minus the dip. The extra dip was forgotten as well. Tried calling for 20 mins straight and no answer. Have emailed the customer service and not even an acknowledgement. Terrible store from a normally reliable chain. Update: Now over 2 weeks since this order and still no acknowledgement from emailing customer services, and a follow up email a couple of days ago. Expected better.

Second time in as many weeks that we've ordered from here and the tracker says the food had arrived when it hasn't. First time was an hour and a half before the food arrived. Currently waiting for the latest order and it's 20 minutes after the tracker says the food arrived, so who knows if/ when we might get our food. Calling the branch is pointless, it just rings endlessly. Will not be ordering from here again.

Should have ordered from Dominos. Ordered at 12:20. Currently 13:32 and still no food. Rang the restaurant, spoke to Kamil and they stated “they had a computer glitch and the food was a bit late and the driver would be there in 10 minutes”. This was 15 minutes ago. Abysmal service. The food will no doubt be cold when it arrives and I shall be demanding a refund. No wonder PJ are looking to close 10% of their stores if their service is as poor as this. Dominos must be thriving.

Order from here frequently and first time I've had a problem, special requests for no ham (correct), and no mushrooms (because I physically dislike and cannot eat)..... (wrong still there but no olives 😟) Just for future reference, and to inject a little laugh.... this is a mushroom 🍄‍🟫 and these are olives 🫒. The other two pizzas were, as usual, perfect as was the chocolate brownie........ Just to add that the last two visits have been back to their usual faultless standards

I placed an order around 14:30 for an order to be delivered at 17:30 as a birthday meal for my 6 year old daughter, she had been looking forward to having Papa John's for her birthday treat all week. At 18:00 the order had not been delivered, I rang the store and was on hold for over 20 mins, with no answer, I decided to travel to the store to see what was happening with the order only to be told that the order had just left the store to be delivered, I returned home only to find that the order had still not arrived. The delivery finally arrived at 19:20 and I enquired when the driver had actually left the store for him to confirm it had been 10 mins before delivery. I was lied to at the store when I was there as the order had not been sent around 18:25 as I was told and when the driver delivered the food it was luke warm so I also doubt he had left the store 10 mins prior. This level of service is totally unacceptable and unnecessary, on top of that it had ruined the ending of what had meant to be a little girls special day. Despite the inconvenience of having to order and collect an additional meal from an alternative fast food chain, and making the children wait an extra hour and a half to eat their dinner, this is totally unacceptable. If I had been informed at the store of the truth of the status it would have allowed me plenty of time to make alternative arrangements to get the children fed. I am most disappointed with this service as Papa John's is always or first choice when ordering pizza and we really do enjoy the taste and quality of your products but the service on this occasion was definitely not up to standards and I do not appreciate being lied to.

Food was cold, delivered an hour after the appointment said it was out for delivery, and 20 minutes after it was marked as delivered. Barely any sauce, some slices had no topping on. Was offered a refund but haven't received it. Have been in to see the manager who says it has been processed but it still isn't in my bank. poor food, poor service

Disgusting service, waited 2 hours for a sub standard product which was warm at best , very disappointing never had problems in the past another restaurant and business that just doesn't care about there customers or product.

The pizza was nice, would of been better if it wasn't only luke warm. Would of been even better if everything I ordered actually turned up. Used to be really good but has become really bad.

By a long way, the two pizzas I ordered were the worst I've ever had from any takeaway. Flat as pancakes with hardly any toppings, no meat at all in my American Hot so no flavour. Both were lukewarm at best. First and last time I will use Papa John's.

Got an extra large pizza from there today for £6.99 fed 4 of us ( special deal this week any size 6.99 ) They have good deals. Staff were polite. Very quick service and loyalty points. Glad they reopened as they were shut for a long time. Will order again.

Tbf it's improved a lot since the change over. I've had 2 and not reviewed until now and both were on point. They offered a free item as well which was pretty sound but the only reason it didn't get 5 is cause 5 is the pinnacle of excellence.

NEVER ORDER FROM HERE!!! I ordered veggie pizzas to find that they were meat ones. I was mortified as I took a bite out of a slice, realising it was meat and im a vegetarian. I rang up the store and they were unable to give me a refund via the store, I had to email customer services with photos even though I'd bring back the pizzs which weren't eaten. I did just that and still haven't had a reply. This is a terrible experience and I won't be coming here again. I'm still waiting for them to respond about my refund. If you want pizza, don't bother with Papa John's Yeovil store.

I'm not sure about these negative reviews. I believe this branch to be a rare treat - the food always comes fairly quickly, very hot and reliably excellent quality. (I might add that I live the opposite side of town too) It's not often you make several orders and they are consistently great anymore, I've found take away is more of a gamble now when ordering to deliver. Highly recommend & will certainly be a repeat customer for as long as this service / quality continues. Even converted my domino's enthusiastic partner lol!

Ordered 2 pizza for delivery and only got 1. When I phoned the Yeovil store to complain I was told they're busy and understaffed and then had the phone put down on me. 1st time I've ordered from papa johns and definately the last. Absolutely shocking customer service!!

We ordered pizza it came cold we complained was told we could have 2 for free when we next called we were then lied to and told to ask for TJ when we called for him apparently ge doesn't exist we emailed the company direct and had nothing total waste of money and time

Loved papa johns before it shut down, was so excited when I heard it had reopened so we decided to order some food on Tuesday 11th July. I ordered my favourite pizza. It arrived warm which was fine. The delivery driver had called me to come outside and I had asked for them to come into the building and I'll meet them at the stairs this was followed with a sigh on the drivers part. Even though I did enjoy my pizza I have now been suffering with food poisoning since Wednesday. Afraid I won't be ordering again in the future. Its such a shame.

I wouldn't even waste your time or money on this place! I was offered a refund Friday evening (30th June) for waiting 1 hour and 40 mins for a pizza which then turned up cold and incorrect! Fast forward to today (Wednesday 5th) and still no refund! Phone up and polity ask for my refund to have the phone hung up on me and TJ who apparently is the manager (he definitely needs to go back to some basic customer service training!) then to refuse to re answer my call!! Looks like I shall be taking this to trading standards!! AVOID AVOID AVOID. Only gave 1 star so I could warn others of an awful experience received. I'll stick to pizza hunt from now on 👍

It’s closed has been for ages now

Literally found out last Friday we were shutting down on the Sunday! 48 hours notice... 14 staff pushed out of a job that we all loved! I know it's the franchisee and not actually Papa John's... But I just wanted people who read this to know what happened! Now can not get hold of anyone, anywhere... We don't even know if any of us will get our last month's pay!

Never received my order. Tried to call phone is permanently engaged.

Love my Papa John's. If it weren't for the fact that I had a half hour wait (there were problems with the oven not coming up to temperature?), I would have rated it better. I still think they have the best pizza in town (next to genuine Italian made pizzas, that is).

Ran by Epoch Group Long hours, basic pay (when you actually get paid. 2,3,4 days late) No help from immediate bosses Oh and lastly STEAL your pension
