Papa John's Pizza in Arun

We ordered two large pizzas including a half and half. When delivered, the one half of the order was wrong. We called the store, was told a replacement would be made and sent out, but we had to keep the 'wrong half' to return to the delivery driver. Half an hour later we called again to be told our pizza was with the driver for delivery. By this time everyone else other than my partner had eaten...she was still waiting. Half an hour later we called again to be told it was still out with the driver. I asked if we could eat the 'wrong half' and was told no. The guy on the phone couldn't have cared less. He blamed it on new staff and actually said 'why are you blaming me, you do know I'm not actually Papa John'! The driver arrived as we were on the phone an hour and 15 minutes after the original delivery. And he didn't even want the 'wrong half' back!! Shame as it's great pizza when they get it right but the service and urgency to put mistakes right is lousy.

Have been using this Papa Johns for a couple of years now always home delivery and i must say that we have always found the food excellent and hot well presented a good choice normally you find offers and you can build up points to use to save money. The sides are also very good we love the potato tots and chicken bites. The pizzas are amazing and home delivery is always very quick, i would highly recommend them......

Iv been ordering from this store for a year or so and honestly it seems to have gone downhill recently. My last 5 orders from here have been mediocre at best. But in those orders there have been some notable issues. Today's order I got a pizza and a drink and the drink wasn't delivered, the previous order I had two hairs in a large pizza that was delivered cold. I can not recommend this store, you're better off getting from another company!

Would avoid this place ive had papa johns before from diffrent stores that were all nice but this one is particularly awful would not recommend eating here ever

Writing this review sat on the toilet due to under cooked dough. Avoid Papa John's and go to Pizza Hut.

Avoid!!! This is an absolutely awful store!! the staff are rude, not trained properly + clearly aren’t motivated at all. as a local resident, I’ve also seen the moped riders racing around town with no regard for anyone’s safety!! I’m Sure it’s public knowledge this …. Plenty of other fast food stores (Cleaner, polite and better value) in the area that could offer better for your money!!

If you like wet dough and supersized crust this is the place for you, toppings just slide off this is my last order at papa johns

Ordered on the app and changed me twice. The manager rang to check. I didn't want 2. As the app crashed, said money would be sent back to my account 3 weeks later, nothing. But the manager did give me another pizza, so sorted in the end, they are a good bunch, always polite and happy to help 😀

When its good it's great but it depends entirely on who makes the pizza I guess. Some days the staff are making them to perfection, other days you get a hot mess that tastes equally bad so they could definitely do with re-training and better quality control. Improved my rating for now as they do the best vegan cheese (dairy free in our house) and a lovely base.

Poor pizza, decent service. Hardly any toppings and the toppings that were on the pizza were poor quality. An incredible lack of cheese so much so I had to check my order that I hadn't removed cheese from the order. Never again.

For a small outlet you have many managers and seemingly none of them can return payment. Wasnt aware of the poor reviews until I was talking to one of the said managers. So now awaiting a call back from another manager. Still awaiting any commitment to resolve the issue. No one is taking responsibility and monies are still being held.

We ordered Pizzas, arrived after two and a half hours. They were cold, soggy and disgusting. Contacted shop to complain, they apologised and promised refund within 3 to 5 days. We suggested they collect the pizzas as we didn't want to eat them, they refused to collect. After 1 month and many telephone calls still no refund very unprofessional response. Will never use them again and will never recommend. Shame

We’ve order here previously and always had a great experience. This time however, it turned into a shocking time. After an hour and 20 minutes I called and was told our pizza is on the way, only to call again 20 minutes later to be told they are short staffed. As I write this the pizza has turned up! It may as well been in the freezer it was so cold! Disgraceful

I use to love ordering from PapaJohns. But I won’t be ordering from this branch ever again. We had to wait 3.5 hours for our delivery and we called 68 times to try and get through to some and was told on two occasions that our order was on its way and when it eventually arrived it was wrong and cold. I understand they were busy, but honestly 3.5 hours for pizza!!

Placed an order for delivery at 18.46....Still waiting over 3 hours!!! No reply by telephone & no updates provided.

Waste of time, waste of money, and absolutely no customer service! Placed an order at 19:32 for delivery. At 21:00, and after over 30 attempted calls to the branch (no answer of course), no order or updates, I took a drive to the store. I was told that they have too many orders and there is nothing they can do. When I asked to cancel the order as this is now too late for anyone to eat, the "driver" proceeded to tell me that they will get to my order and I just needed to wait. His behaviour and attempt at bullying me into just waiting was 100% unacceptable! I am hoping to get a refund but will not hold my breath! I will never ever be supporting Papa Johns again!

I ordered a pizza a couple of days ago and it was onetime and really hot the driver was very polite I was impressed with him very clean and well dressed when I ordered I spoke to someone called chloe very polite and helpful as I have allergies excellent customer service would order again I ordered yesterday only waited 15 minutes and my food was delivered by the driver piping hot thank you papa johns

Waited an hour and a half for ours pizzas to turn up barely warm. Eventually got through to speak to someone and was rudely told that they were too busy to deal with my complaint and to use the link in the confirmation email and contact customer services. Annoyingly, the email just says to ring the store directly. Very unhelpful and waste of our money.

Delivery took over and hour and a half. Called twice to inquiry once at the hour mark and again after an hour and thirty minutes. When food arrived was cold.

Order on a Saturday night which I knew we would be in for a wait but it took 2 hours. The pizza arrived cold and wasn’t a thin crisp as ordered. The potato tots arrived stone cold and I’d ordered four cheese and they arrived plain. Very poor all round. Tracked order online and it seemed to take forever at checking order stage. Really disappointed, for a first time customer I won’t be returning.

Service here has gone downhill since the beginning of the year, clear to see there has been a change in management & process. Product quality & service standard are extremely poor, staff not understanding or empathetic. Used to be a long standing customer here, have ordered consistently since opening but not anymore!

As a regular customer who usually enjoys the pizza from this store I have just received possibly the worst pizza I’ve ever had , after spending 27 pounds with them ordering 2 medium pizzas which we normally get we have received 2 very very small pizzas that even looked lost in the medium pizza box and the cheesy tots barely anything in the box , called the shop to sort this out only to be greeted with a very rude employee (Morgan) telling me there was nothing wrong with our order as he made it then hung up . We have pizza from this shop regularly so we no when it’s not right !!! Last time we ever use this shop !!

Littlehampton papa johns. Would’ve given it 0 stars. But not possible. So the one star is for the driver who was a lovely young lady who seemed more stressed than me. I waited 2 hours for the pizza to come. For it to be luke warm and super soggy. It had clearly been remade after my call 1 hour into waiting and sat again before delivery. The female manager there was extremely unhelpful and didn’t apologise on the first call. Only once is got 10 minutes into my second call did she apologise after me saying I will be making a complaint and I want a refund. Which I didn’t even get. It’s a shame as this isn’t the first time. But it’s never been this bad. But I won’t be ordering from there again. Wait and see what their online only customer service has to say 🤷🏼‍♀️ Won’t hold my breath.

Food took almost 3 hours to arrive. Ordered at 8:05pm didn’t arrive to nearing 11:00pm, the order was wrong (as I ordered stuffed crust) and was cold (inedible), I called to see about getting my money back, was told there was a link in the confirmation email and that I MUST claim through the website. No information is on the website to claim a refund or even an email address at this point. So I’m assuming they’ve had me on as they cannot be assed to deal with it on the spot (also that the guidelines say that you cannot make a claim after 30mins of the delivery). A-bit Cheeky if you ask me… will not be ordered from this papa johns again…

The delivery from Papa John's Littlehampton is always late. I have a large collection of useless of £5 off vouchers. Pre-ordered at 6pm for 8pm delivery and it finally arrived at 9pm. Can't blame the driver as the app stated it hadn't even gone on the oven at 8pm! If you want to order from here allow an extra hour, maybe two. When it arrives, it's at least edible.

This place has definitely gone downhill. Our past two orders have been dreadful with the recent one being the worst. Food was stone cold, burnt and rock hard.. Tried phoning after receiving the food to get a replacement, no answer. Pizzas had to go in the bin! Rang the next day to explain my experience and the store weren't helpful at all, no apology or explanation. I ended up complaining to customer services! Such a massive shame as we used to love the food when they first opened, won't be coming back anytime soon.

Terrible service! The over an hour wait for order was tolerated, but pizzas were cold, hard and dry! Would’ve asked for a refund but Kids were just too hungry to wait for replacement.

Waited nearly 2 and half hour for our pizza’s. After an hour of waiting partner called to be told it had just left. Hour and a half later and lots of unanswered phone calls it finally arrives. 1 cold and rock hard the other they “upgraded” to XL but was nice and fresh. Genially felt bad for the delivery driver having to face the brunt of the late delivery’s. Communication is key guys back at the store, if your short staffed, order got lost or whatever just say!

Great food from this place every time!

Apparently takes 40 minutes to cut a pizza before sending it out according to the tracker. Judging by the temperature when it finally turned up I can believe it's been sat there.

Please be warned they promote vegan pizza but have only Have vegan toppings ! I’m disgusted I suffer from egg allergy and have to go vegan on take away food. This is disgusting.

Usually really good but there must be a cheese shortage as the crust was stingy rather than stuffed and on the cheese and tomato it was basically just tomato. The double pepperoni wasn't really double either. Not really one to complain but considering when I first tried a PJ's I've never ordered any other pizza, but the was pretty underwhelming. It's pretty simple, don't stinge on the cheese. I'm pretty sure wars have been settled using cheese, so "Use cheese and make peace". ✌🏻

Dangerous drivers on the wrong side of a double white line forcing oncoming cars on the correct side of the road to swerve. Mentioning to the store they dont have time to deal with it or care at all that without me swerving their driver would be on his way to A&E. Went in store and they dont even bother with masks.

Great pizza, poor attitude from staff

After not being able to find a place to eat we thought we would grab a pizza. We were served by Gorge and he was extremely helpful. He worked out the best deal for our money and gave us plenty of time to get back to our hotel before he sent our food for delivery. Give that man a raise you are a legend my friend.

Very quick delivery and lovely pizza and side dish. Fresh tasting and perfectly hot at arrival. We’ve had 2 in as many weeks we were that impressed. Brilliant both times!

Normally go to Domino's Pizza but wasn't allowed to order at the shop so went to papa john's and was much better then domino's or pizza hut and cheaper, will be staying with papa john's from now on

Best experience of a takeaway ever! Ordered a deal at lunch time, 15 minutes and it was ready. best pizza I've ever tasted, fully loaded, perfectly cooked and tasted incredible.

Iodered a large bbq chicken pizza which cost me £25 as well as some dessert and was delivered a large hot spicey jalapeño pizza with the right dessert and when I rang up the store to complain I was ignored over three times I even check the store opening time to find they where still open though I rang only 10 minutes before hand and so I decided to go to the store the next day and even though I had a picture evidence and the receipt showing what I paid I was only refunded with a £10 store credit I feel like I had been ripped off as well as unsatisfied with my refund all in all I suggest new people not to order from papajohn's pizza as they do the same to you as they done me.

You see the slogans better ingredients better pizza & think we'll give them a try but after the 1st order they go downhill! We've had 3 now both bogof offer & 2 out of 3 weren't good at all! Certainly not worth the £23 paid! Customer service even worse ! No order number no replies! Will be getting pizzas elsewhere from now on!

Went for a regular pizza, but also tried a vegan one. The regular one was great, the vegan one, more of an acquired taste! The pizzas arrived hot, within 45 mins of ordering, and the delivery driver phoned to say he was on the way.. Decent.

Possibly the worst pizza I’ve had! After waiting for an hour and a half for it to be delivered and after 3 phone calls to the shop to see where it was it turned up and it was cold ! After we heated it up in our own oven it was tasteless! Won’t be going back any time soon will be sticking to Pizza Hut from now on.

As the review above states I had the same issue pizza was over an hour and a half, arrived cold and with wrong dips. Update 21/11 I have been offered a free pizza as compensation and because of this I have upped my review rating.

WARNING! Whatever you do... Don't order from this place. I waited 2 hours for my pizza. The pizza was delivered cold. Turns out they attempted to make a delivery, couldn't find the house so returned to the store and then sent out the same pizza again. The store manager also declined a refund.
