Papa John's Pizza in South Gloucestershire

Ordered through deliveroo and have been waiting for 2 hours and have called the store twice with no response and deliveroo support even called the store but no answer. This is ridiculous and I won't be ordering from here again anytime soon. I can see other reviews having this same problem with this store.

Ordered food, nothing has turned up over two and a half hours later no answer from the restaurant and no help from deliveroo, I will not order from papa johns ever again. Absolutely atrocious service.

Amazing pizza!!! Fresh and made to order. Service was great and friendly staff.

Basically I ordered a pizza 🍕 with double anchovies for my husband as it is his favourite but it had hardly any anchovies on it not very impressed with this it was very bland ,basically it tasted like a cheese and tomato pizza, with a odd bit of anchovies

I figured that as it's been at least year since the last time I gave PJ's a chance, and that things must've improved since then. I was wrong. The one positive is that the branch contacted me after ordering to let me know that one of the sides I'd chosen wasn't available (run out of pesto), but when my order arrived (cold), the side which I requested as a substitute was wrong. There was no dip with the cauliflower wings. The pizza was only sparsely topped, and was also cold. I shouldn't have been surprised - according to the online tracker showing my order's progress, the pizza sat out of the oven for half an hour before it was sent out for delivery. That was definitely their last chance.

Order arrived after 2 hours and was cold and stale!

Disgusting service, food delivered almost 1 hour late and cold. Refund requested via customer services almost 1 month ago no response and no refund yet. Avoid

We ordered 2 pizzas, a side and a dessert 2 hours ago and are still waiting for it to be delivered. We saw the wait time was only 30mins but that has been gravely underestimated. Do not recommend this store. Extremely suprised about how long this has taken. Hopefully will not be cold when arrived although will not be suprised.

Pizzas were good but shocking service. Pizzas ordered for a specific delivery time in advance and arrived 45 minutes late and were stone cold on arrival. So disappointed.

Good size pizzas but overpriced and tasteless. Bread with tomato sauce. And burnt. Never coming back.tasty Pizza is not easy to do. V disappointed

We love ordering for collection from this Papa John's. After reopening recently, the service has gone right up - staff are always super friendly and happy. Cannot complain.

Do not order from this Papa Johns. Our pizza never showed up, despite being told it was out for delivery. Called twice, second time I was on hold for ten minutes and when someone finally picked up the phone again, it was clear they'd forgotten I was on the line. Deliveroo wouldn't refund us because it was "out for delivery" and the restaurant wasn't picking up their phones to confirm the situation. Order at your own risk – you'll be out of pocket with no pizza.

Rude staff. The website glitches and got the order wrong.

Ordering through the app (which by the way you have no way of providing feedback through) I ordered a half and half large pizza with garlic bread sticks and some poppers, not only was the delivery late (which I never normally have a problem with but with what was delivered I do now) the garlic bread sticks were like cement and the pizza was a mess. Not only did they provide the wrong crust (stuffed crust was delivered but ordered original) but the two toppings had come off completely and parts of the pizza was stone cold, the pizza was full of grease and to top it all one of the dips we had ordered was pressed into the topping of the pizza. I normally expect top quality from Papa John's but this was a diabolical disaster of a pizza, especially as you pay premium prices. I will not be in a hurry to reorder.

I've never had an issue with this Papa John's. I can always rely on them for great pizzas and decent sides for a fair price. I have not been able to rely on Pizza Hut and Dominos in the same way. The only downside is that I have to collect because I live too far for delivery.

I ordered an x large Bbq meat feast, garlic sticks, Bbq chicken and dips on the website after being enticed by their 50% off pizzas offer. When the order arrived incorrect I checked the email sent which showed the wrong size pizza and the cheesy garlic sticks. When I complained the man on the phone said that the offer only applies to collection orders. On top of that there were no dips and the chicken was both burnt and cold. Grudgingly the manager said he would send fresh chicken even though he 'wasn't supposed to' and he would send a driver with it and our dips. We have been waiting 20 mins so far....

Eating a terrible pizza at a franchise that also thinks Joe Biden is part of the Ukraine problem, is hard to swallow...

really poor delivery....the driver spoke poor English was seriously late and said satnav took him somewhere else .Then got a text saying driver outside my house and would only wait 5 mins....I explained it is not going to a house .10 minutes later .... The order was wrong and cold When I phoned to complain the manager Josh TONi ? kept calling me MATE and saying not his fault. He offered free pizza next time as was stone cold and uneatable £20 plus wasted. I asked for refund and get the driver to come and take back the pizza he said NO DRIVERS available. The drink I ordered was pepsi and the driver gave me a Tango? I questioned this and he said this is what they gave me not my problem I am only the delivery driver.Perhaps if he had not stopped off to get his own take away mine would have been on time? Never again Papa Johns...Pizza hut or Dominos......from now on

Pizza took 2hrs to get to me due to fuel shortages which is fair enough but they were left out for so long after cooking they were stone cold. Called the store and they pretended not to be able to hear me even though they were repeating what I said and lied about issuing a refund to get us off the phone. I recognise the shortages are a problem for lots of people but could have been dealt with so much better and as such I won't be ordering again if I can avoid as I don't appreciate being lied to and belittled.

Took more than 35 minutes from the time the app showed the order was on it's way to deliver the order, which was a cold pizza and cold chicken side. Delivery driver helpful but inexperienced and took the delivery driver 35 minutes to find the address, which was eventually not found, I had to came out quite a distance to find the driver. When called, the store advised we cant refund however can re-deliver hot food in another 40 minutes, which was quite a long time for children already hungry, tired and wanted to go to bed. We gave a portion of what was available to the children (though cold), waiting for the hot one to arrive for ourselves. In the meantime within 2 minutes, call from Papa John's store came to say we will take away the cold ones when we deliver the hot pizzas. What I heard was shocking. Had it been any other major Pizza house, they would had apologised, redelivered hot or refunded in full. Morever, he redelivery was for just the pizza, not the whole order. Never ever an order from Papa John's again from us.

Is there a way of giving zero stars? Absolutely atrocious service. We ordered 1 margerita and 2 garden party's for some guests we had and we received 2 margeritas and one garden party. When we rang the branch and spoke to the manager he accused us of lying, then trying to blame the delivery driver and even asking us to return the pizzas to have a look. No Apology. And he even put the phone down on us twice. We have complained and sent evidence to head office but still awaiting a reply 5days later. Will. Not be using this branch again

Yum Pizzas, very quick delivery and polite staff.

Have only done collections but the food has always been good quality and on time for me.

Placed an order, waited ages, the app kept saying that our order was being cut and inspected....kept waiting, then finally on its way. More waiting and the finally pizza....cold pizza! The delivery driver was a nice guy but otherwise a very poor experience. Sadly we have had to wait before, but this was the last time....back to Dominos 🍕

Tried a couple of times when offer is on, found that if you order stuffed crust you only get two thirds of the pizza is covered in toppings - rest is bread!

After looking at the reviews I really didn't want to order from this place I wanted to order from the Filton branch instead but because of my location they didn't deliver. So I thought after all the negative reviews of this branch I thought it might of improved. How i was wrong... Waited 1 hour 40 mins for my pizza, turned up cold. I like a cold pizza for breakfast in the morning but not for dinner. Stay clear and order elsewhere. This puts the papa John's name to shame.

Always helpful on the phone, no complaints. Google maps takes you around the back to an office car park so that needs addressing.

2020-05-10 I order two identical medium pizza's. Both the same toppings etc. Took a while to arrive. Longer than Dominoes would take and Papa is closer. Double pepperoni has very few pepperoni on the topping. No pepperoncini peppers inside the box. Staff member said: "I never heard of this in my life" when I asked about the pepperoncini. One pizza was missing all toppings. I phoned up asking for a replacement within minuets of me noticing. They said they would send one out. It took them a good several minuets to find my order and postcode. The one pizza with very few toppings is now cold because of the phone call I had to make to correct the order. I waited for the replacement for 50 mins and nothing came. I call the store and my call gets declined busy twice. Third time the phone rang constantly with no answer. By this time it was 11PM and the store was closed. So I went hungry all night. Update: 2020-05-11 I call them in the morning next day 30 mins after opening time. No answer phone just rings. I am not sure what is going on there. I don't think I will ever buy from this store again. Unfortunately I cannot choose another store via the website for delivery. Update: 2020-05-15 I had to go via Papa John customer services to get anywhere. Seems they prefer communication via their questionnaire style form. Anyway they gave me a free large pizza however I couldn't redeem it at a different location because the phone and website always redirect you to a specific store based on location. So I had to redeem it here. However I must say Nicoletta who is the manager normally for Filton branch but was covering Bradley Stoke branch today sorted my issues in a professional manor and listened. The free pizza was correct and up to the Papa Johns standard I would expect. No pepperoncini peppers however I guess this branch stopped doing that? They did give me plenty of dips however. So I guess I put my issues down to the on shift staff at the time of my original order or management. However I did have to involve customer services and the branch did not call me. I had to call them. Update: Weeks later I thought I would order pizza from Papa Johns. Basically the same issues occurred as before. No pizza and the store didn’t care to fulfil my order when I questioned them about it, instead they were prioritising new orders coming in. The store claimed to refund me the money. Week goes by no money in account. I call the store a few times, they assure me it’s marked as refunded but may take time to show up. Another week no money. I contact customer services but they start messing me around holding my money ransom after a few weeks and several emails gone by. I eventually decided to state the law to them. They decided to send the money rather quickly… Safe to say Papa Johns will not be seeing any of my money ever again. Trying to hold my money ransom when it should have been a simple refund for goods or services I never received. Unacceptable.

No delivery available on a Saturday night. Ordered the following Sunday specifically to try the Ghost Chilli Dip; the dip itself was missing from my order on arrival. Called the branch to request redelivery with another driver; was promised the dip but it never arrived. Won't be ordering Papa Johns from this branch in future.

2 and a half hours since I ordered. 2 answered calls telling me it was just being delivered and a ton of ignored calls later, still no pizza. Edit: So I finally received my pizza 2 hours and 45 minutes later. Surprise! Not only is it cold, but it has a hair in it. Disgusted.

These guys never delivered our food or never answer the phone. How are you still in business and the worst thing is the just eat app stays its delivered. I can tolerate being late but how cam you miss an entire order

Don't bother - Went online to check when our dinner was going to turn up to find I had received an email saying there was a problem and to call the store. Tried ELEVEN TIMES to call them. First it was engaged, then the last few times it just rang out. Still unsure whether it's going to turn up, but assuming not. Terrible service, very frustrating especially when hangry.

Worst customer service. Rude and lied about existing deals. Asked on phone for a chicken pizza, but they given one with beef. When questioned they didn't accept their mistake.

We really enjoyed Papa John’s on Saturday night. We ordered The Greek, Hawaiian and Garden Party on half/half large pizzas, potato tots with 6 cheeses and cauliflower wings. It was all part of an online deal with a drink for £24.99 which was a fantastic deal! We didn’t have to wait long after ordering and collection was really quick and easy. We will be ordering again!

Just like other review - no Pizza arrived, watched the tracker progress to “delivery confirmation” but no Pizza. £20 down, no food and have to phone a deliveroo call centre to try and get money back. PAPA JOHNS, you ain’t my Papa, your a waste of time.

The tracker lies as it says it is delivered but it still takes another 15 min to arrive. Pizza arrived 1 hour after I ordered it and It was cold. The box was not properly closed. Never again

Purpose of Visit: saturday night takeaway Mains: bbq chicken pizza, bbq sauce was nice as had a little heat to it. Garlic sauce was weird borderline not good at all.... Sides: bbq wings Staff: quick and friendly Wait times: none ordered on app Venue: clean Facilities: n/a Comeback? Yes Final Thoughts: really nice pizza, well made, tasty and full of flavour. I like that they weren’t greasy and dripping when you pick it up. This was a real win for a Saturday night.

No wonder papa johns quote and dominos is busy, pathetic service, arrived 1 hour late, end up buying from local take away ship, drivers ask me to work in shop to find out how busy they were😀if you can’t manage the orders, don’t take it and close store. We waited an hour and a quarter for our order of two pizzas and two sides. When it arrived the side tasted fine but were Luke warm at best. The meat pizza was ok but the base was definitely not thin and crisp. The vegan pepperoni and sausage pizza was inedible, it just tasted awful. It ended up in the bin, we won’t be wasting our time and money on Papa Johns again.

Nearly 4 hours after I ordered there's no sign of food. Tried ringing the store mutliple times and the only time the phone was picked up it was put down instantly. Jokers. Won't ever use Papa John's again.

Great deals on pizza. Did a collect so pizza was steaming hot. I find that papa John's put plenty of toppings on. It's very good value for money.

Still waiting for my delivery. Just eat shows its arrived but nothing here, called before they shut no answer. Disappointed as doesn't seem il get my money back either.

Good PJ's food, but there is an issue with delivery service, not sure if this is down to website malfunctioning or no drivers available during weekdays, I am simply unable to order food delivered home while recovering after accident 😔 ..........why ohhhh why...........

So I've ordered few items from Bradley Stoke branch. Recieved burnt food so called manager requested for new delivery just to be told that carbon residue between my chicken bites is SEASONING!? also garlic bread was cooked to perfection(see pic) my pizza was missing extra cheese on top of that. It costed roughly 50£. I suggest to avoid that particular branch if you don't want to get really mediocre or bad quality food for quite high price. Papa John's pride themselves in better ingredients producing better pizza.dont think BRADLEY STOKE branch plays same ball. After several tries to settle this with management I've been told to complain to head office because he had no time for this as he said sh**... WOW

Always love the pizza, but the service was very poor.

Terrible experience. I ordered twice from that place, first time couple months ago 2h waiting to get cold pizza, I decided to give another change same thing 1.5h to get cold pizza again. Don't bother its quicker to make one in home, and its no refund if it come cold you can send it back and wait another 2h to get new one (probably cold again) amazing customer service! Horrible place, never again.

Never had issues with this store. On time.

Waited for ages, over an hour with 4 hungry children having a film night and no pizza arrived. Phoned to complain and was told that there would be no pizza as they had no details!s due to computer problems. They did say they would refund our money within two days. Interesting they knew my bank details but not able to phone or email about food not arriving.

Used to be great, no where near as good as they should be, and often can't even get the order correct.

Always delivers quickly and never had anything that wasn't really tasty. Although their garlic butter dip cannot be good for arteries!

They got the order wrong and the Manager accused us of ordering the incorrect pizza. After checking the order details, the Manager, realised that they had made the order incorrectly. Then an hour later the correct pizza arrived stone cold. Crap service even after a complaint.
