Great pizza - especially the chicken fajita

Didnt even get my pizza. Service was so bad on the phone i gave up ordering

Food very underwhelming remember this place being a shambles the last time it was open before it shut down I’d reckon it’ll be shut down again soon enough hour and 45 minute wait time for food that’s colourful but bland Breaded Cauliflower soggy and too soft Pizza and pesto bread both Luke warm and dry Won’t order again save your time and money order elsewhere.

I'm not sure where to even start! Food was over an hour late, i called the store to be met with staff that should not be in any customer services role. They continued to tell me lie after lie and even made out that my food was on it's way and I had no rights to cancel. In my opinion I would look for new staff before you lose a lot of business in Blackwood.

Ordered pizza this evening for birthday treat with the kids and took 2 and half hours to arrive!! Rang 3 times did speak to a lovely young girl who was really apologetic however no offer of any money back or anything to compensate for 2 very hungry children waiting for food! Pizza was warmish when finally arrived....If u do order from here I would COLLECT!!

Nice food parking a bit of a pain if you're going to collect and service is a bit slow.

Thought I would try something different this time. Go from the usual Domino's and "give these a go". I went in to pick up my order at 6:45, I was 5-10 mins late to allow any sort of delays. (Wanted to have the pizza ready so we could eat before we went to Cinema across the road). Arrived there, and the pizza wasn't even ready. First, she looked a bit panic'd and I thought, o great. Here we go, any ways, she finally "found" my order (even though i could see it on the board myself), and the pizza wasn't even ready. She just said, we will make it now...... That's when i decided to just cancel the order there, and have a refund. Still waiting on the refund. So i just "hope" i don't have to chase this from the store. Would i go back? Nah, ill give it a miss. Stay with the reliable Domino's

Ordered online, took 2 hours to be delivered, when it finally arrived it was stone cold. Then when I rang up to ask for an actual hot pizza, I was greeted by someone with zero customer service skills and then she said it’d be another 1:30 hours, absolutely shocking. Wouldn’t give me a refund either. 3:30 hours for a simple pizza…what a joke.

Will never order from here again, the way a colleague just spoke to my husband is absolutely disgusting, I have never heard anything like it. Ended with us not receiving our order and money has left our account. Have made a complaint

I called and ordered desert this evening. Usually I have great experience of ordering from here with very little hiccups. Tonight I ordered hot desert and ice cream, only for the ice cream not to arrive! Not sure how hard it is to deliver 3 items?! I live literally up past the bus station. This takes less than 2 mins to drive from the store to my home. Some 25 minutes later and two calls to the store, the ice cream arrives to accompany my now cold desert. And not even an apology when you call the store!! Sorry Papa Johns…..the service in this store is diabolical and when you pay 15 pounds for ice cream and brownie, you expect better!!

Fantastic vegan selection and always good quality. The vegan stuffed crust is worth a try!

No courier could find the new housing in Oakdale.

Had a delivery from here last night. Expected it to take a long time as it was peak time... but I had my pizza in 30 mins! I was well impressed, the driver was lovely too. Pizza always on point! Thank you

Can be expensive if you haven't got any vouchers but very tasty and vegan options too

Terrible service horrible people to work and the state on the drivers cars that are carrying food in are terrible I wouldn't put my dogs in their cars

This was my first ever PaPa Johns with my partner and kids. Food was about 45-50 minutes but it turned up boiling hot, and was bloody gorgeous. I dont ever mind about the times as long as the food is lovely and hot. I did phone to ask about a time frame and the guy was lovely on the phone, explained it had just left. Delivery driver phoned to ask where she should leave the food couldnt apologise enough for it being late. Well done guys keep up the great food. Feel lovely and full and it was, fantastic thumbs up from us! Wont be ordering dominoes ever again!

The nicest pizza I've had in a long time. Beat domino's. It was fresh. Here in 30mins.Piping hot. Tasted amazing. And they even delivered to us even thou we were outside of the del area. I would go bk here every time.

It was a lonely Saturday night, my wife of three of years had recently left me, I sat upright in my three piece recliner and glazed at the clock it was 6:35, the energy drained out of me, I decided to order food. I rang papa johns blackwood and made my order. A large Hawaiian delivered. They told me it would be a twenty minute wait. It was now 6:58, it had been 23 minutes and I was now getting anxious. I started to nod off then I heard a SKKRRRRR, I look out my window and a blue Citroen had drifted onto your front garden, the grass was all ripped up, the flowers were destroyed. I run outside approach the mysterious car, the window comes down and a man with no teeth natters “oi mush, ur pizza” and then races off into the cold dark night.

I will be perfectly honest, the food came 45 minutes late despite ordering over a hour or two early. The food came cold and some of it raw. We phoned to complain about it, the girl on the phone (Poppy) had a very lacks attitude and couldn't resolve it just say "the best we can do is give you a refund" also that would take "5 days". We asked to speak to a manager but alas there wasn't one but there was a "shift supervisor" who basically said I don't like your tone to my partner who worked all day same as me but again it was completly civil. The young lady Chloe walked away from the phone say hold on a minute and went off and run us down saying well they will have to wait etc everything was clear through the phone. We did ask for our food to be redelivered which would be over a hour but there is no chance we are waiting that long considering we waited long enough. Either way we just ordered a dominoes and it came in half the time they said they could redeliver theirs. I will be talking to a manager tomorrow and I have already emailed head office. This infuriates me to the max when staff are incompetent rude and clearly have no managment there to control them. I really hope they sort them selves out and I will not be ordering from them and also as a locksmith warn every one daily on my call outs.

I went to papa John's in blackwood after visiting the cinema, I was disgusted with the fact that the boy behind the counter did not offer to give me mine or my fathers change no matter how little it was. Also while I was waiting for my order, an online order came through and not one of the two workers washed there hands, used clean utensils or even use gloves when touching any of the ingredients.

1st order arrived with incorrect pizza. Ordered pepperoni and was delivered a pizza with jalapeño pepper's and none of the dips that i ordered were with deliverery. Also ordered pizza with bbq drizzle which was left off. Fair play when i complained they gave £20 credit. So decided to order another time and use credit. 2nd time order arrived with no dips or bbq drizzle and was luke warm at best. Best thing is the chicken poppers. Staff very friendly over phone.

Wrong pizza and cold. Took over an hour to arrive. Tried to ring the store to complain but no answer. Emailed in and only got a sorry. Waste of time and money. Don't bother.

the worst pizza i have ever tried to eat, staff bickjer and apparently one of them is the managers partner which upsets other staff, wont be going in there again

Poor treatment of delivery staff - to the point of non-payment, poor hygiene and food safety practices employed by management, borderline basic product delivery that doesn't live up to the promise of the franchise. I hope for improvement but don't just take my word for it- here's a direct first hand review from an individual who worked there: "Papa John's blackwood, I worked there a few weeks ago delivering pizzas part time, I left because it was being run by idiots, I seen the manager collecting ready made pizza doe from other stores and transporting them in his car, not protected or covered. No uniforms provided The managers in a relationship with a staff member and having her boss people around, with out training. Health and safety is a risk in that shop, I seen a rat running through the shop and reported it and was ignored. I informed environmental health the day after this incident. I haven't peen paid for the few weeks I worked there, told one lie after another from the manager with messages to prove everything". On conclusion - do not feed this to your children. They haven't even bothered to address this PR Nightmare on social media - probably out of fear of evidence coming to light as warned. Want pizza with soul, pride and authentic flavour? Ciao blackwood. Otherwise make your own at Sainsbury's. I've yet to review the practice of Domino's so I cannot provide comment. In the meantime- I won't allow these pretenders to waste your time, money, jeaporadise a franchise and your health with impunity. Utterly, utterly abhorrent. Bye Felicia. 😷

I was a bit spectical about ordering from papa johns due to the bad reviews.. but I bit the bullet and thought well these reviews are 2+ months old and we got to give them a chance they've not long opened! Well anyway I ordered and we had 44% off 40 deal we had so much for our money and had an XXL pizza it was massive the food was hot it didn't take long for the delivery and it tasted so good so the week after we ordered again and no we are going to get one tonight. Absolutely fabulous xx

Absolutely disgusting special garlic dip dont know how anybody on this earth could like it never mind on the garlic bread . And when I phoned to complain that's all the girl had to say when I told her I wernt goin to order again she said ok . Grease mongers !!!!!!

Pizza has tasty as ever, the only reason it's a four star and not a five is because the staff don't seem to know what offers are on.

Manger & staff are very friendly always on time with my food cant fault them. Really cant get enough of the burgur pizza well worth the money :) .

This place has picked itself up big time after the new manager has taken over. My go to place for vegan pizzas! My family love it! So fresh, never feel too bloated or uncomfortable after eating it, either. Always on time or early when delivering! The staff are always so polite and any problems they’re so attentive! Always making me feel like a valued customer :)

Every order has been bang on. Piping hot, delivered on time and real friendly service. Highly recommended!

Really disappointed. Base way too thick. Too much tomato sauce & unbelievably stingy on the cheese, pepperoni & sausage. Funny that the stuff that is cheap they give you loads of, but the meat and cheese they give you less than the bare minimum! I wonder why. Who wants thick baked dough that just tastes of tomato? I have never had a pizza this bad for lack of cheese & other toppings. Not ordering again from here, despite the fact it has been under new management since November 2017!

Had a little mix up with what we ordered but staff were lovely and corrected it immediately without any problems.

Top end. Initially I wasn't fussed, but the sauce has grown on me and the points system is awesome. Thumbs up from me.

Delivery is made on a snail.....

Food was tasty and hot. However, many food hygiene errors were drawn to our attention during the wait for our food. No hair nets were worn by any female staff, all of which had very long hair and no hair nets/beard snoods worn by male members of staff with quite substantial facial hair. Long false nails and nail varnish. Staff answering phones or in other areas of the store neglected to wash their hands before touching food. One staff member walked away from the pizza station, got his bag, threw it over his shoulder, returned to the station and continued to make pizza. Also no aprons were worn by anyone and all staff kept their personal phones in their back pockets?

If I could give 0 stars I would. Took an hour and twenty mins to deliver lukewarm (at best) pizza which was mostly tasteless. Staff refuse to answer phone whrn I was trying to find out if the order would ever arrive. Will never order from this chain again, I recommend you stick to Domino's, or just pour cheese sauce and some ham over a plastic frisbee, cheaper / tastier!

Had an issue with my previous order arriving cold but assumed it was teething problems as they hadnt long opened. Ordered again tonight to have part of my order missing. Rang straight away and could see driving going down the street and was told it woild be brought straight to me. Half hour later and it hasnt arrived

I love pizza but this was disappointing turned up late some of our order was missing and the food was discussing your better off getting a £1 pizza from aldi

Leaves staff to do their dirty work when Pizza turns up to customers two hours late and stone cold. Telling staff to refuse to answer the phone when theres uncontrollable complaints coming through, leaving delivery drivers stuck with people shouting at them at doors because they're so late. Overall management is absolutely shocking and I don't envy anyone that works/ orders from here :)

Great pizza, not a fan of the garlic butter dip. Beats the new Pizza Hut hands down.

Absolutely despicable, managers are incapable which leaves the staff helpless. Feel sorry for anyone who works here.
