My food was ice cool and there would not Exchange it with out my receipt I have never seen service like that I will never go there again

The worst McDonald's PERIOD! 1) you're lucky to get the orders correctly when ordering via uber or just eat 2) the staff don't know how to read the specific notes on orders & there's NEVER any point in ordering a large meal with this McDonald's because you'll be guaranteed a medium portion of fries in a large box and the drinks NEVER have ice in. You can call and raise it and you'll get the basic sorry with no means of making any of their constant mistakes right! How this one is still going, I will never know, oh and their new buns are vile!

Same as always slow over worked underpaid staff. Foods basic when they get it right. Ice cream / milkshakes are available around 1 week of each year because of equipment failure. Management not really under control of shifts with staff standing around whilst food pre areas are left filthy. Lobby area is normally clean as the FOH team work well.

This isn't the first time that a member of staff has failed to correctly put the right food, as ordered, into a bag. After making an order and getting home to find out there's food missing which has been paid for. No point driving all the way back as the food will be colder than it already is after being sat around for ages. Edit (12/04/2024) I have noticed the names of staff members leaving 5 star reviews. Outrageous. I came here to say, yet again they've failed to deliver the correct order, daughter's breakfast was missing. Store told us there's nothing they can do... bizarre, as it's them who messed the order up. Rang the customer services number and told to wait 15 days for a refund on the missing items. Very poor effort. Lost a customer and I will now actively discourage locals from using your store until the failings are acknowledged and improvements seen. You will hear more from me on this matter.

Can be hit and miss with the service, most staff are friendly enough however on the odd occasion we have had less than adequate service. Wrong orders or missing items occasionally and you don't realise until you are home by which point it is too late. Otherwise, bog standard McDonald's cuisine, not going to knock your socks off but it is edible.

The drive through is totally inadequate,..waiting at one of the order stations and the other line had 4 cars go through before they finally took my order,..this has happened a number of occasions,...muppets,..not managed the best at all

Just ordered food from here, ordered quarter pounders and they were cold and had literally just cheese and burger in them. My chips were missing and my ice cream was melted and my drink had no syrup in. Will never be ordering from here again. Worst McDonald's I've ever been to.

Why does the milkshake machine never work!!!!!!! Used the drive through a few times and think it would have been quicker to have gone in to get the food. Not fast food.

Ordered for 2 people through Ubereats and it arrived quite quickly. However, half of the order was missing and the one drink which did arrive was absolutely disgusting, so ended up throwing it away. I only ever order from this McDonald’s through Ubereats as every time we’ve visited in the past food is missing and Ubereats are very quick to refund when it occurs. I’ve rarely had a positive experience with this McDonald’s but today’s was the worst by far.

Did the drive through. Had to park up as usual. Waited nearly 25 mins. Wrong order discovered when we got home. Paid extra for bacon on the big Mac......no bacon....not even big Mac sauce. I am 2 mins away and food was already cold. They tried to give the car next to me the wrong food 3 times. Shocking service.

Half a portion of cold unsalted fries, a share box of 20 nuggets containing 27 cold nuggets in a soggy box with no dips, a Big Mac that was put together in the dark, and no ice in the drinks. The paper bag I paid for was better quality than the food. Fed it to the dog, he seemed to enjoy it, but he also cleans his own backside so I don’t think he’s that fussy. Also why are you charging for paper bags, and where are you donating the money you make from them?

Waited almost 10 minutes for someone to take my order at the drive through, then was told to park and waited another 25 minutes before going into McDonald's to get my order. There must of been at least 20 other people waiting in the car park for their orders also. Their response was sorry. When we finally got to eat our food it was stone cold. Piss poor food and service.

The worst and slowest experience I have EVER experienced. I ordered on the app and as the drive through looked quiet I decided to pick up. It was a rare treat for my children as we were running slightly late for their breakfast club... Well... half an hour after waiting in the queue I had to get out and ask for the pancakes for my children because they were already late for school!!!!!!!! I couldn't believe how long it took! What happened to parking in cars if their food wasn't ready?! Kids were late for school and I was late for work! Safe to say, we will NEVER return there for breakfast again. Awful!!!

Terrible service , the have missed items from multiple orders , never have sauces. Have ordered through just eat and was left 2 hours waiting , went to the restaurant to find out where my food was and they said we can’t do anything for you and no deliveries will be leaving , so where is my food that I have paid for ?? Ordered food twice now to be delivered but none of the brownies ever turned up or ever got replaced or refunded and when u order four which is nearly 10 pound then takes the mick

Let down by half liquid McFlurries. 1st of all they said machine was nearly empty, then when they brought replacements, somewhat thicker, they said, machine is broken, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't! Otherwise, service was good.

Absolutely schooling the staff can’t even get an order right it’s wrong EVERY time. I don’t know who you are employing but get rid and get new staff.

Everytime I order from here the foods always cold and they always get my order wrong, it clearly states no cheese but they gave me cheese with no egg. Never will be going here again.

As someone who frequents various McDonald's country wide... Caerphilly's is, as always, the worst of any I've ever visited. I regular this one, purely because it's the only one in close proximity. Given the choice I would absolutely go to an alternative one but no other McDonald's exist within a decent radius. So, let's talk food: Food is 9 times out of 10 given to you in the worst state possible... Burgers are poorly presented, burnt or often covered in the burnt remnants from the hot plate, missing alterations/customisations (i.e. extra bacon, no sauce, etc etc) and lukewarm to cold by the time it reaches you. It's more than evident that it was NEVER hot enough as you can see the cheese hasn't melted to the patty even slightly! I've many times had removals left in my order and had to throw it out because I've not noticed till I've arrived home and purely can't be bothered to drive back and fight for the right one anymore. If I was there, absolutely but for takeaway, well I can't imagine anyone would want to when it's raining! I shouldn't have to microscopically examine my food before leaving to ensure someone followed the build instructions. One day someone with a severe allergy will get hit by this, and that's the scariest part. Duty of care seems non existent in this one. EggMcMuffins ALWAYS have egg shells in the egg.... Cmon guys, I'm so fed up of feeling shell between my teeth as I crunch down on it. It puts me off my food and I'm picking shell grit out of my mouth for hours afterwards. Chips.... It's either extremely oil sodden or so dry you could build a house with them. Sometimes there's no salt, other times it's salty enough to make you gag, speaking as someone who likes a decent amount of salt on food it surprises me it how varied their results can be. Along with the fact you can order 2 large portions and get two entirely different portion sizes is unreal... one is half empty and the other is a full portion... An easy to spot, visible difference that goes unchecked time after time shows the restaurants is either highly understaffed, staff are poorly trained or simply just have a lack of care. Chicken selects/Nuggets are often the only decently cooked product to come from the kitchen... And even then you sometimes see the burnt remnants from the last cook stuck all over the nuggets... Little burnt crumbs don't make them taste good. It would be nice to have HOT nuggets/selects from here one day but I'll take them being "edible hot" Drinks often come lower than the amount you order, for those unaware, there are markers on the cups as to where each size should fill to. 99% of the time they skimp on the drinks and you never get what you pay for. Café bites (i.e. Muffins/doughnuts) are almost always stale, never taste remotely fresh and for their cost I could go to Asda and get a pack of 4 that would be better quality for almost the same price... Don't get me wrong, no one goes to McDonald's for coffee and muffins when Costa is next door but that shouldn't mean the standards should be lower! Your order will almost always be missing something. I can't count the amount of times I've ordered mozzarella sticks, chilli cheese bites etc and had them not be in the bag. Due diligence before you leave the restaurant is absolutely required here, I've gone back previously and been told "I could've removed it and I just want free food" which has now made me always check my bag before leaving the car park/restaurant when I visit. Has it happened recently, thankfully no. But within the last 6 months, yes. Service is ALWAYS slow.... Waiting 20+ minutes for "Fast food" is shocking, especially when I can go to Cardiff Queen Street and be served in 5-10 minutes. Tl;Dr: honestly, if you can, avoid this place. They've regularly had hygiene standards issues and have quite a low score (this can be viewed on the food hygiene standards website). Food is terrible, service is slow and you'll just end up being disappointed. UPDATE: New low hit today at this location, my burger came with free plastic!

For a Mcdonald it's average at best on last 2 occasions fries and food have been tepid in heat. the outlet is always busy so food should be piping hot Hot chocolate is hit and miss as sometimes the chocolate is non existent It is a shame as it is my local place for Mcdonald It may get better one day if they had better audits

Big Mac was pretty dry, even though I ask for extra big mac sauce to compensate for the dryness they usually accommodate that. For some reason yesterday they refused. Weird.

I was served bacon in my wrap after asking for no bacon. I have not eaten pork for 7 years and I was very upset that I had accidently eaten it. The wrap label and receipt also said no bacon so it wasn't a problem with the order. I get that mistakes can happen but when I called he just offered me to drive back to the store to swap for a new wrap so I don't feel like he understood the point of why this was upsetting and how serious it was for me. I didn't care about having a new wrap, I just wanted it to be addressed and for staff to prevent it happening to someone else. Check your orders before biting into them.

Waited 15 mins for a meal ..When it did come after I complained the the handler grabbed the meal and some of the chips went on the floor..I told her but deaf ears.

Terrible dips missing on my order and lady over the phone can only apologise but can’t someone out to finish their pending order which I paid for. Won’t order from this branch again.

Not the best mc d's about.... Update: didn’t think they could get any worse but just ordered the new big cheese with bacon and it was delivered without a burger in it! Shocking

McMuffin was very greasy and slapped together. Tried the new Galaxy Caramel latte. Asked for a large. The cup was large the drink was not! Only half full. No cream and only 2 mini choc stars.... Tasted of burnt coffee beans, not a hint of caramel.... What a rip off! Service at the first counter was shocking, but the chap at the second was lovely. Hash browns were nice and hot but overshadowed by the pathetic attempt at a festive latte. Only the third time we've ever been here, won't call again.

Worst mcdonalds around. Ordered 2 bacon and sausages egg mcmuffins at the drive-through. I got given just muffins with sausage. No egg. No bacon. No cheese. How hard can it be? I didn't know until i got home, so always check your meal here before driving off. Also, they didn't answer the right-hand side intercom for ages while serving people on the left-hand side. Terrible service, terrible food, waste of time. Minus 100 stars.

Been here a few times always had lovely food and service but this time they where slow didn't came to take our dirty dishes had to go to the bar and ask someone to clean up plus we had to order dessert and more drinks and at the end had to pay at the bar and they took a while to find our order to pay, won't go there for a while now so hopefully when we do it will be better.

Ordered food on Thursday waited for 20minutes then complained , my food had been left standing for well over 5 minutes, not even a call asked them for all fresh waited another 10 minutes was just about to ask for a refund ,when food arrived , when I took the food home was awful didn't even change any of it , appalling not even busy either, full of kids working there don't even know what they are doing also bad management 😑

At 10pm, after a long day at work, the door and the drive-in were closed. I knocked and as soon as they saw me they told me it was closed but the website says it's open 24 hours a day. Change the hours on the website so people don't travel without being able to eat.

DISGUSTING PLACE. Not my first choice McDonald's but when I do go, it's because it's local and convenient. However, NEVER AGAIN!! I found an intimate hair in my fries. No apology from the manager, or any other member of staff for that matter. Absolutely disgraceful. "Jo" has absolutely no clue how to deal with genuine complaints, or how to provide good customer service. I do not recommend!

Ordered 2 meals both burgers wanted plain, was plain written on the receipt didn’t think about checking as it said plain on receipt but when I got home both burgers weren’t plain. The mcspicy chicken was stale

Yet again, I go large and get no more chips than my partner had in her medium meal. It must be so hard to shake the chips correctly into the containers, or have McDonald's told the staff to cut back on the fries.....

I needed help at the, "Screen Meal Selector Panel" and instantly, a senior staff member helped. Food was served at my table. This level of service is a great improvement. All young customers were excellently behaved. So it was a pleasant dining experience. My favourite for the past 30-40 years is a Big Mac with Large Fries and Vanila Milk-Shake. I'll definitely call again.

Early morning drive through was fast, with food served hot and coffee delicious. Evening drive through can be long and difficult. Eating in is always enjoyable, with clean tables and quick serving staff.

Drive in queues are a bit long but it's worth it 👌

Its a maccies so it will always be awful. This one just particularly smells of sick, and the manager always has her belly hanging out the bottom of her top (ew). If you use the drive through, you will almost always end up waiting in the carpark (even for small orders)

Ordered 2x happy meals and 2x Mcflurries. They gave the drinks and mcflurries and asked me to park up for 2 chicken nugget happy meals. By the time the happy meals arrived, the mcflurries had both melted. Got home, to find there were no chips in the boxes! Very disappointing! There was no point me driving all the way back for the chips, so I had 2 unhappy children.

Why is there cones out preventing people from going through the drive through on a Saturday morning at 1.30am? Says online that your open 24 hours its false advertisement! Just finished a busy shift at work, didn't have time to eat so was looking forward to ordering with you very disappointed and baffled!

Excellent location, loads of parking, extremely happy and competent staff. Only issue is the spikey tyre ripper on the way out, I know it’s to stop ppl entering the wrong way but brings the place down a tiny bit

Just discovered that McDonalds is supporting Pride. I don't support the idea of Men in Women's sports, Men in Women's prisons or puberty blockers for kids and I certainly won't support any businesses that do.

9 times out of 10 there's something missing from your order. Drive-thru is hit and miss - I've been given a completely different order to my own multiple times now 😕 had a breakfast roll where the bacon wasn't cooked...and this was when it was quiet there... And yet some days you can't fault them. Quick & efficient during peak times without a single hiccup.

The girls that clean and work front of house are outstanding at Caerphilly, especially Nicola and Amanda.

As many people have stated in there reviews, it really is ridiculous!! They prioritise delivery over their customers who come in and the waiting time is stupid.. supposed to be fast food lol! The system for drinks is also wrong, they leave drinks especially thick shakes and pop ready for orders.. by time u get them they r flat warm and thick shakes r like water! U need to do better for ur customers!

They always forget something when they deliver and not much better at the drive thru either

Ordered a meal for my granddaughter my wife and I, was told they would bring the food to our table, waited 30 minutes no sign of the food so went to the counter to ask, I was ignored by the staff so asked to speak to a manager only to be told they disposed of our meal because they didn't know who Ordered it. Will never go there again very poor service, they either ignore you or speak down to you. Please use a different branch of McDonalds.

The worst McDonald's ever. We go there often, only because it is convenient for us but we have had enough. Every time we go, we ask to ourselves what's going to be wrong today? Yesterday we waited for 25 minutes only to have to chase our breakfast order, had to go and get the food so our table order was a no, and the order was wrong, twice. No apology and the food was burnt, the hash browns were soaked in oil and it got stuck to the paper cover, so the hash browns broke in pieces when trying to eat them, stuck to the paper pouch. It's too much, the staff and managers seem not to care. They had a terrible food hygiene rating until recently, never seen before at a McDonald's in the UK!? Now we will be going to other fast food restaurants or to other McDonald's as this one is a shamble a joke.

I ordered food to be delivered to my house. When the order arrived I realised that one wrap is missing, the food was cold. We was not happy at all.

Really really busy and very well staffed with people walking the floor keeping the place tidy and checking in on customers. Floor staff were also handing out balloons to kids and families and all the staff seemed in good spirits and working together well. Food was typical mcdonalds, reliable but not soecial.

I’ve ordered several meals for delivery. Spending over £30 and they never include the condiments. Even though you can’t add some orders to the basket without selecting a condiment they never deliver them. The food was also cold.

They don’t have any milk for hot drinks but won’t tell you this until after you’ve paid
