Hygiene in the kitchen was poorer than I would have liked, the man who made the pizza did so with bare hands, hopefully washed hands but still not a glove nor hair net or beard net in sight. It took them 10 minutes to figure out my change between two of them. The pizza was immense though and the halloumi fries I would recommend however as a germophobe I would have liked the staff to at least be wearing gloves and hair nets/beard nets.

Pizza was decent. However the service was poor. Ignored to begin with and when I did persuade someone to take my order they were blunt and made it difficult to communicate. While I was there I wasn't the only one with this problem. A chap came in to collect his order that was supposed to be delivered 2 hours earlier.

Don't bother, I had to call and chase my order to get the delivery. Which was still in the checking and cutting phase after an hour. After the order was delivered I noticed they had not delivered the sauces I ordered. I tried to call the branch where I ordered but they didn't answer after an hour of calling. I'll take my business elsewhere in the future and recommend others do too.

Took over 2 hours to receive our food and rang 3 times trying to speak to someone no answer, absolutely useless

Very slow service in store, server looks inconvenienced that you are there. Toppings are sparingly applied If you order online there is a £2.49 delivery charge and the pizzas are £2 more to start with. £7.99 in store collection compared with £12.48 delivered.

Worst pizza I’ve ever eaten Pizza came with off coloured cheese and barely any ingredients. One mushroom and pepper cut thinly across the whole pizza and that’s it. Proper waste of food as we couldn’t eat more than 2 slices each due to stale doughy base. Never order from here or Papa John’s pizza if you ever consider it. Not worth it considering we payed 70£ for 3 pizzas. would rather burn the money than eat this again. if i could give it no stars I would. Genuine scam and a mug off of inedible garbage.

Recently, my friends and I attempted to place a substantial order totaling over 200£ at Papa John's Pizza, both online and through collection. However, our excitement quickly turned into disappointment due to the unsatisfactory customer service we encountered. Despite trying to order online and calling multiple times around 10:30 pm, we were met with rude and unprofessional behavior from the staff. Not only were they unresponsive and declined our calls, but they also failed to assist us properly. This experience left a bitter taste in our mouths, especially considering our genuine love for Papa John's pizza. Unfortunately, our repeated attempts to reach out for assistance, whether through the online platform or via phone for collection, were met with the same level of disrespect and disregard. It is truly disheartening to see a beloved pizza establishment fall short in the realm of customer service, especially when loyal customers like us are looking to enjoy their delicious offerings. Overall, our experience with Papa John's Pizza, both online and during collection, was highly disappointing, primarily due to the lack of professionalism and courtesy displayed by the staff. We sincerely hope that the management addresses these issues to ensure that other customers do not encounter similar treatment in the future."

I travel a lot for work so go to, and order from a lot of food places but this one might just be the worst, and going by the reviews they should probably just shut it down. I implore you not to waste your time. I ordered 3 sides and after about 20 minutes the tracker said it was cutting up and packing, 50 minutes later, it was still cutting and packing. I rang up, phone was ringing for a few minutes and no one answered, so i just waited. It was nearly two hours before it arrived (not even pizza just a few sides). The delivery guy seemed friendly but was clueless, he rang me to let me know he was here, said he saw me waiting so hung up the phone, then stood at his car for a couple minutes looking around like his memory of the phone call 30 seconds earlier had been erased. Decided I wouldn't bother leaving a review because fair enough, maybe it was busy, and looking at other reviews, most people had already said the same things. Cut to eating the food, it was fine. Opened the third side which was labelled chicken poppers, as I was expecting. It was instead a second load of another side I'd ordered. Looking at other reviews this isn't the first time it's happened which made me think maybe they're just messing with people, but how do you see two different labels and put the same thing in both?? I rang them up, just after a refund because I wasn't hungry enough to be sent the side again, and the guy, after not really knowing was I was saying said yes when I asked for a refund and immediately hung up. I rang back and said I want a refund and he just told me to go to customer service, no idea why he didn't tell me that to start with. All round awful experience for very average if not below average food. Reading the reviews here I'm honestly surprised it's still open. Can't imagine the positive reviews are real either to be honest. Don't waste your time and money.

Ordered an XXL pizza for collection. Best pizza I’ve had in a long time. Same price as just the large at Dominos. And they’ve gone right down hill. Highly recommend.

Placed an order, got given a tracking code. Tracker didn't update for an hour and no one will answer the phone. The tracker conveniently updated when trying to ring to say it had just gone in the over. So you're telling me it took AN HOUR to put my order in the oven?

Service it’s shait. Did ordered two pizza like an hour and 10 minutes ago and still didn’t receive them. Did call their store and some Indian chap answered with ”don’t u worry sir”the store it’s busy 😅 Last time then I m using them Highly not recommended

If you would like to be served by a moody pizza guy then go here. They didn't have the potato tots so they gave me chicken poppers instead. I didn't mind but they called me with one ring and then hung up. When I got into the Papa John's he spoke to me like I was really thick and he was very rude. I left with my food. It was okay but not amazing. I did spend the night throwing up . That didn't put a happy note on the first day of my holiday in Weymouth. I most definitely won't be going back even with any discount

The manager behaviour is very bad. Because i see his personal matter and he fight in the store with the customer. This is not good for the Papa John’s the manager name is Pragnesh.

disgusting , takes 2 hours to delivery pizza , and was 40 minutes delivery when i am on the same road as the store ,. pizza was cold make me ill drivers cant find address even though its on google maps and on the same road ! , its not hard to find a address if you a delivery driver , i have been a courrier pizza cold and made me ill puked it up later that night prob due to it being laying around for 2 hours wont be ordering ever again from this place and i tell you all to AVOID better to go to napoli wont be long before this place gets shut down ALSO you wont ever get a refund from this place so you forced to take cold pizza

Ordered took hour to leave the shop then 40 minutes delivery driver couldn't find address twice now , pizzas always cold and i live on the same road ! it be quicker and warmer walking it drivers are not from uk prob should send imigration cause they dont even know how to use google maps or work a sat nav pizza made me ill puked it up later that night Disgusting avoid , wont be ordering ever again i hope they go bankrupt like the last people that owned it and never paid its staff when it closed ,

Have heard this branch is closing which is a shame. Have had a couple of issues with delivery the past couple of orders but the pizza is always decent.

Ordered from this popa John's last night. Order arrived late the food was cold and only part of the order arrived 4 out of 6 items. I'm not sure if they intentionally do it to people who Order from the local caravan park but this was the first and last time I ever have food from popa John's

The pizza was hot and really tasty. The team were smiley and chatty on collection. Will definitely be back!

Order for Papa Johns money come out of my bank by order never went throw called them up and said about it they told me to look through my emails to see if the order was confirmed but got nothing and said that the money will go back into my bank but did say how long and l will never order from them again and don't recommend this to anyone, this will be my last experience with Papa Johns as they that don't lister to their customers and what they have to say and do nothing ablaut it bad experience never again. Never understand how they are still open until this day with so much bad experience for customers and they still not listening or caring about their customers.

Wanted to try Papa Johns for some time to compare with other pizza delivery, sadly, we were very disappointed. We both ordered the all meat pizzas, but could barely see the meat, and some pieces only had a single bit of meat on it. Chicken wing portion is not enough for 2 people. Cheese and garlic bread was nice. Lastly, it arrived luke warm. Overall, poor quality all round. Won't be ordering again.

Delivery lady = Lovely Staff in shop = OK System = NOT OK. I've spent over £120 on one Pizza that took one hour and 15 minutes and we are ten minutes from them... we were told 7 minutes ! They took the money 5 times and the 6th times worked Now have to wait 5 working days to see if I get my money back for the mistakes on the app. Pizza was half eaten second time tried and second time disappointed NEVER AGAIN

I ordered an xxl pizza and two side for me , my partner and my kids at 17:45 , it arrived later than i expected at 18:40 all was okay untill we tatsed the pizza and it was extremely spicy id like to make clear we ordered no spicy toppings as the kids wont eat spicy foods, i called the restaurant and they were very friendly to be fair and offered a replacement which is what i wanted, i did not expect to wait another hour and 10 mins waiting for a replacement pizza the kids were starving at this point and it completely dirupted there bed routine, all we wanted was a nice simple pizza night. Will never order from papa johns again.

Ordered halfandhalf the works and extra hot meat feast. What happened to the toppings??!! This has to be the worst takeaway pizza I have ever ordered in my life from any pizza restaurant. They are so stringent with the toppings it might as well be a margarita with a slight delicate sprinkling of toppings! This is the 2nd papa John's restaurant in Weymouth that's soon to close for shoddy pizzas and service. Back to ordering Domino's. I use to like Papa John's pizzas back in Bournemouth!

Fake 5 star reviews, seemingly from members of staff or their friends/family. Horrible experience here, ordered some food and had it show up on the tracker as out for delivery, 2 hours later it still had not arrived so i decided to call the store to which they responded it would be here in 5 minutes. Another 30 minutes go by and still nothing. Ended up receiving the food about 2 and a half hours after ordering it, and being lied to on the phone by the staff. Went to customer service to request a refund which they denied. I was given a code for free pizza, which didn’t work, then had my emails ignored by the customer service team.

Ordered food got my time, then was late andngiven another time. Still didn't turn up. Cancelled my ordered and just as I was going to bed ordered turned up. Told guy we didn't want it as we had cancelled the order he gave it to me and said keep it. Complained and despite food turning up 4 hours later and cancelled. They took our money and won't give it back. No one answered phones. Shocking service and then to take my money for food that was cold as well as cancelled was a right cheek and out of order. Will be making a dispute with my bank to get my money back.

Good pizza but the customer service is non-existent. They are just way under-staffed for the volume of orders they have to deal with. Orders are frequently fulfilled incorrectly and if you order for collection you will still have to wait for ages when you go to the store because they have 1 member of staff running around like a headless chicken trying to do 10 things at once. They are also pretty poor at keeping the order tracker updated with the status of your order. I ordered a pizza at 9:20, it's currently 10:49 and has been stuck on 'checking and cutting' for the past 45 minutes.

Update: after receiving reply from Papa John's they show no lack of interest as order was placed through third party!? Obviously they have no interest in customer satisfaction or sorting out any complaints Ordered for delivery was out on delivery over 1hr 30 still couldn't locate meexpected me to accept pizza when I was only 4 miles from shop. They've lied saying it was delivered now struggling to get a refund several emails to just eat papajohns very little help feel robbed wouldent use either company again, I see they only reply to positive reviews shows there lack of customer service or basic manors place shouldn't be able to trade if there not upti the job, you're business is based on delivery yet you can't get that right

I don't normally write bad reviews because I can appreciate customer service can be difficult but this place is a shambles. I placed an order at 8pm yesterday and after just over an hour the pizza tracker hadn't updated so I called the store to get an update and I was told they hadn't even started my order. I told them in that case I would like to cancel my order and I was told I had to email a customer service address to get a refund. I did that but 45 minutes later the pizza tracker updated to say my order was now being prepared so I called again to make sure my order had definitely been cancelled. I gave my order number and was ensured my order had now been cancelled and I would get a refund within 3 working days. Then at 11:15pm, over 3 hours after I originally ordered a delivery driver turned up at my house despite me explicitly asking for my order to be cancelled twice!! I have put this all in my email to customer services and I certainly hope I get a refund promptly.

Ordered at 6, arrived over a hour and a half later, with luke warm pizza and side, warm ice cream and my drink had been substituted for another (which I couldn't drink). All in all, very disappointing. Wouldn't recommend.

AVOID. Absolutely horrendous. Waited 2 hours for food to arrive and it was cold and unedable as it had been cooked an hour earlier as they had updated the progress an hour earlier on their page. Was told twice on the phone itwas there and cooked, just waiting to be boxed and delivered. Will never order from then again.

AVOID! Zero stars!!! Took 2 hours to come, lied about time scale. Tried to chase up with a phone call, no answer. When it was delivered we were told to ring the shop within 30-mins for a refund and tried to ring multiple times only to be ignored or call rejected. Also both pizzas in the bin as they were cold, chewy and just overall in edible.

Ordered at 16:54 on Just Eat. An hour later it updated to say 'enjoy your food' but nothing had arrived. Husband called to be told they can't find our order but it'll be another 30 minutes (not sure how that works). It arrived at 18:42 and is stone cold. Cost over £50

Such a amazing service and amazing food I like it

I was excited to see that this Papa John's reopened, so I visited during lunch on 13/8/23. However, I was very disappointed with my pizza. The pizza had very little cheese and very few toppings. My guess is that less cheese and toppings is a cost savings measure. And the crust was deflated - hard and a bit crunchy. It wasn't pillowy soft like I remember it. I haven't been to a Papa John's in a couple of years, so I'm not sure if this is their new normal or if my pizza was made cheap since all large pizzas were £7.99 during the reopening. I will try 1 more pizza from this Papa John's and if it still has a stingy amount of cheese and toppings then I won't be back.

NEW OWNERS - August 2023 Happy to report this is under NEW management, which is fortunate, l because I can only assume the previous people running it must have ran away and joined the circus as they were a bunch of clowns. Gave it another go, ordered on the app, actually got our order right first time and sides were actually cooked properly this time, hopefully they keep it up :-)

I was the store manger there worked for the shop for over 2 years they owe me just over a month in wages plus 15 days holiday plus time in lieu etc they owe me just over £3500 shambles the company is they owe all the previous staff money and are refusing to pay it

Ordered online this eve for click and collect.....to find the store closed as it closes Thursday apparently.Order and payment processed but no pizza's.....no notification on website either....no a happy customer 😔

I recently worked at the Chickerell road store as a delivery driver! DON’T EVER consider working for them! Awful company! Pay ALWAYS late! Even got paid at 10.00 pm 1 night! Who does that??? Shifts were ever changing and favourites were allowed to fail to turn up for shifts while others picked up the slack! In store management was good, so not their fault! Waited an hour and 45 minutes for the order and we did have to phone the store to check where it was as the tracking online said it was delivered to us only 15 minutes after the order was placed Everything was great with the order once we received it :)

Worst pizza ever had. Were the staff having a bad day!! The cardboard box was thicker than the base. No idea where the meat was in the philly steak, think they forgot the bbq sauce on the other one. The potato side was cold. The delivery drive rude to say the least, leaving the order on the floor!! Papa Johns used to be better than Domino's, won't be using them again. Even Asda frozen pizzas are better.

Joke of a place. Ordered online. Said it was in oven, then changed to cancelled. No e mail or call and nobody answers the phone. Terrible and poorly managed. Avoid at all costs. 28/10/21 - Update. Papas Johns took circa 3 months to reply/get back to me. They sent the reply below asking me to reach out to the e mail address they have listed. I tried, but the e mail address doesn't work. Shambolic.

Ordered for delivery at 7.15 - waited expectantly - phone call received at 7.15 (yes people delivery time) to say there was a problem with the oven so no pizzas !
