The new management have done a fantastic job! I received amazing and fast service! All of the food was spot on and had plenty of options that could also cater for vegetarian and gluten free dietary needs. I will definitely be ordering again!

Papa John's pizza is pretty good but this particular store have apalling customer service. The last three times I've ordered from here, my pizza was either delayed by 1 hour or more or, in one case, straight up cancelled and whenever I called up to ask why, I was told they were either waiting on a driver or, in the case of the cancelled order, that there were no drivers available. If you ask for more clarification then don't expect anything more than an Indian man repeating the same thing back at you 3 or 4 times.

Poor delivery service - could not deliver in 1.5 hours so had to cancel as they could not guarantee that the food would be hot

We’ve ordered from here before without too many issues but won’t be ordering again. The two pizzas had so little topping they could be compared with cheap, supermarket ones. Absolutely rubbish and an obvious drop in quality. We know what we’ve had before and this was a blatant example of ripping us off. You’ve been warned.

Waited an hour and 20 minutes for the order and when it came it was cold and the vegan pizza base was undercooked, restaurant didn’t answer when we tried to call them, will not use again

We ordered a pizza, sides, drink, and ice cream online. The order arrives no ice cream and drink. We check with the courier and he doesn't have it, he's super polite to us. The process is that you then have to call the restaurant to get them to resolve the issue. I call up the restaurant and I'm met with the rudest person I've ever dealt with on the phone. I am trying to explain the issue and he just kept repeating my address, talking to other people, then being silent and ignoring me. Clearly trying to get my to hang up or go away. Eventually after ignoring me repeatedly he says he is going to check with the courier and I should call back. That isnt good enough for me especially as we have already checked and it isn't with the courier. He keeps blaming the courier and saying they can't do anything. Again after repeatedly ignoring me he says they can't issue a refund as "it's too much hassle". He then says next time I make an order I need to ring and say last time I didn't receive these items so they can add them on next time. That's obviously a complete lie, and why would I ever spend more money on this Papa John's after this experience? I say this isn't acceptable and after being ignored yet again he says he will issue a refund in 4-5 days. The problem is at this point I do not believe what he is saying. He's been trying to get me off the phone this entire time and just wants me to go away and blame the courier. Essentially I recommend you don't ever go here. They're rude and don't do their jobs properly.

Worst costumer service, they forget part of my order I told them that I could order something and they could send me what they forgot and they said it wasn’t possible! Every time I tried to talk he would cut me out and say “ the refund will be with you in 24hours” I want the food not the refund, I would forget all of this if he wasn’t rude. In my partner pizza there was a hair, not very hygienic init. Very disappointed !

tried ordering online, it charged me but the order didn't even go through. i called to ask if my order went through and was told to wait 5 minutes - when i called back it still hadn't gone through. tried ordering on the app after that and my order still wouldn't confirm. called again and the guy on the phone was super condescending and wouldn't even help me to order over the phone. the person answering the phone clearly just did not want to do his job it was kind of absurd. never left a review anywhere, let alone a bad review, but this just blew my mind.

Food took an hour and a half from when we ordered to being delivered. It arrived completely cold and had been sat in the restaurant ready for over an hour as they are having issues with their couriers. Do not order until they resolve this issue and use a company that pays theirs couriers a living wage

This is our local Papa Johns and it used to be decent with delivery but in recent months they began using a third party for their deliveries and it’s become a bit of a joke. Last night my order updated on their own tracking to “checking and cutting” and then I got my delivery nearly an hour later. So from being cooked to it getting to me it was in a box getting cold and soaking up all the moisture for all that time. This has happened every time since they started using the third party. Not worth the time or disappointment any more. You call them and they’re quick to blame the delivery company and every other excuse they can think of.

I don't trust them. They are not every up front or honest. We ordered pizzas, they didn't apply their 2 for 1 offer, when we noticed a minute later and tried to cancel they claimed it was already in the oven. This was obviously not the case when I rang up a few minutes later and got someone else. They told contrasting stories. Watch out for all the added charges, and the sly ways they try to avoid redeeming their offers.

Low quality ,overcooked pizza. ordered online for collection and went to collect it once it showed ready to collect on their website tracking page, but my order was not even prepared.

Don't order from here. You're basically got a 50/50 chance of getting the wrong items and with the new Stuart delivery service, there's a very good chance your food will turn up cold and looking like this. Called and explained to the manager that this happened. He called me back 40 minutes later and suggested that he couldn't refund my order and that i should call a help line to get a refund. Absolutely ridiculous. I'll never order from here again.

Ordered twice from here in past month and both experiences have been awful. Was yelled at on the phone by a member of staff for making a delivery driver wait 30 minutes on the doorstep, even though we’d only ordered the pizza 25 minutes before that and no driver was at our property. When I explained this I continued to be chastised. Our pizza didn’t turn up for another 10 minutes. Tonight we had ordered one pepperoni pizza, waited two hours, and were delivered three pizzas that were part of someone else’s order. All pizzas were freezing cold and had postcodes on them for miles away. Will stick to Dominos from now on.

Such a letdown. Placed a £200 order at 11.45am for delivery at 1.15pm. By 2.30pm still no sign of pizzas to be told another 30 min wait! Hungry staff having to go back to work without lunch. No offer of compensation or a refund for the delay. Am so disappointed. It is not good enough. I apprecite large orders can put pressure on a small unit but they had ample time to sort it, if an issue with delivery I could have collected it instead if they had told me or they could have refused the order if they couldn't fufill it.

when my order came the pizza was too soggy and it was chucked all over the box it was in! for the money I spent nearly £50 it should have been to a high standard of quality

They outsource drivers from a company called Stuart for their deliveries. I had a chat with a driver as to why the service has become so poor recently and he said his company Stuart used to pay the drivers well but now they’re trying to pay them £3 per delivery across the city. This means they are left with below minimum wage due to their company taking advantage of them. This means each driver keeps rejecting the order until their head office sees this and increases pay due to seeing the same order not being accepted. Whilst all this nonsense is happening in the background our food is getting cold just sitting around in the resteraunt. I can’t fault Papa Johns workers as they have always delivered to good standards. It’s just the delivery service that has become extreme poor due to this company Stuart paying their drivers illegal pay. Papa Johns u either need to scrap Stuart altogether or tell them to pay their workers right. I will avoid Papa John’s for now until this is sorted.

I’d had the flu so I really didn’t want to cook and trust me I can eat pizza for England! The price offered was so good I just couldn’t resist so I went online. I am glad I did. I placed my order for a spicy vegetarian and I was so glad that special offer was valid in Sheffield. I then got a text informing me that the pizza was being prepared. I also got an email as well. The email showed me the progress of the cooking and delivery. They said 45 minutes which I thought was fine. It didn’t take 45 minutes. It took 30 minutes! I was very pleasantly surprised but then I had the pizza. A very pleasant gentleman with an Irish accent delivered it. That high level of service was the icing on the cake. Have a look at the photo. It was divine. The bread base was super crisp. The cheese was cooked to perfection. The sauce was divine. Those tomatoes were very fresh. The number of jalapenos and peppers were just right. I am getting hungry just writing this and I want to order another one! Then I got an email apologizing for taking so long and giving me a discount on my next order. I want to take advantage of it but how can I morally? They delivered it 15 minutes before they said they would. So, the usual questions. Was the order worth the money? Good value at 10 times the price. Would I go there again? Of course. Would I recommend them to someone else? All day every day. Don't take my word for it please try them for yourself.

These guys seemed like they didn't actually want to sell us a pizza. Walked in and asked how much a pizza cost and was told 'it's on the app'. Ok so then tried to actually order a pizza, using my words, from my mouth, to which came the reply 'use the app, you've got to order on the app' in a rather abrupt manner. Funny this. A high street shop, with people at the counter, but you can't order a pizza in person, you've got to get out your smartphone and download their app before they will acknowledge your order. I like Papa John's pizzas. Tbh they're usually better than Dominoes but I don't think I'll be getting them again. I've got nothing against ordering things online but I don't like being spoken to like that and don't actually understand why a person can't listen to my words in order to understand what I want. Walked out. Went to Dominos.

Last time I ever order from here. When they only sent half my order though that I paid nearly £30 for I was told "be quite and let me speak" by the staff member. I triple checked my online order before submitted it so I don't know where the glitch lays but nearly £30 for one pizza and then to be spoken to like that isn't going to get my repeat custom. It might be the system and not the staff but there was no attempt at trying to sort so 8 feel really ripped off.

Ordered a pizza and tracker was left on preparing for an hour. Tried to ring 3 times and had no response. Left not knowing if a pizza was coming or not. Taken money from my account but heard nothing in over an hour. Appalling service. Also used up my loyalty points and I doubt I'll get them back. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME.

Placed an order at 10:55, proceeded to track order & it updated & at 11:50 rang up to be told they don't have the ingredients to make the food and that the order has been cancelled. Joke of a manager hanging up

App not working properly. And they have lazy drivers working for them. They ring you up and make you go to the car for your food. What is the point of paying for a service or delivery if they won't even knock on the door. Poor service need better delivery drivers and get rid of the lazy people you call workers

Shocked at the customer service experience I had last night. Wrong pizza delivered, waited an hour and a half for a replacement and was then told one wasn’t being sent and hung up on. If you have any issue with your order be prepared for a very hostile and rude response.

Awful customer service. It's absolutely fair enough to make mistakes but to double down, leaving paying customers with the incorrect food whilst being really rude is unacceptable

I ordered food without seeing the reviews after, my heart sank not knowing what to expect, it said it would come in an hour and a half but ran slightly over but i didn’t mind that because it was late and i imagine they were busy, delivery driver was friendly and the 2 pizza’s i got went down a treat👍🏻 from my experience it was good :)

Nice food but absolutely shocking service. The indian chap that works there has no interest in customer engagement. The shop is also understaffed. Ordered well in advance but still had to wait a long time in store as one member of staff was there. First and last time I'll go. Tip: dont cut corners and be understaffed to save money when it'll cost you more money from lost customers in the long term. I doubt I'm the only one that's had this experience here

1 1/2 hours of waiting to be told my food is on the way and now my order has apparently been cancelled. The previous time I ordered from here they forgot something and didn't refund it. Never again, don't use this shop

Staff refused to refund my card after making the wrong pizza, I’ve tried to explain over the phone, he purposely put the phone down, when I came to collect the pizza, he was on his mobile phone, did not knowledge me for 5 minutes. Since all the attempts failed, I did asked to speak with the manager, so I could explain the issue. But he also refused to bring the manager… I felt treated by this employee, he was agressive and really rude, it all happened on Saturday 4th February at 15:20… really poor service…

Pretty sure these guys are clairvoyant. We get a lot of deliveries from here which always means the delivery driver has to navigate ecclesall road gridlock every time. Despite this, the order always arrives insanely quickly. Do they sense my pizza cravings before I’ve even clicked ‘finish and pay’? Do they have some sort of secret pizza delivery drone to fly over eccy road’s permanent traffic exhibit? Have they constructed an intricate series of underground pathways from the shop to most major residential areas? Sarcasm aside, the pizzas are always [kisses fingers like an Italian chef] and the delivery is super rapido. Thanks for your continued service during the lazy and hungover in Sheffield x

1: delivery: the delivery guy refused to enter the whole building complex and I had to walk around 10 minutes in the rain to get the order. His reason he will wait in double yellow! After walking, he was waiting anyway in double yellow. Had many uber deliveries before, never had such issues. 2: food: 1 year ago it was good , now the same pizza is terrible! I think the managers of this branch need to be fired!

I’ve spent a lot of money with this place. Twice now the pizza has been stone cold. The one I have just received apart from being cold. Tasted like it had been cooked yesterday. It was like rubber. Won’t be ordering again! Amanda

The worst Papa John's I've been to. Food was terrible, they forgot my drink, tried to explain to them over the phone but I got hung up on twice. Asked for a manager just to be told 'no', asked for my drink to be sent out just to be told 'no that would take long time' and asked for a refund and was told no to that as well. Don't waste your time when there's a perfectly good dominos down the road.

Ridiculous. We waited an hour for our order, and when we checked the website, it said it had been delivered. I called and they said it would be there soon. After another 20 mins, it shows up missing half my order. When I tried to call back, I called over 10 times and they did not answer. Terrible service and I still do not have my food or my money.

Dishonesty, treachery and disinformation. These words don’t even begin to describe the sheer lack of professionalism displayed by the staff at this Papa Johns. Food was late, missing drink, I call back and to no one’s surprise they don’t pick up. Call the next day and very kindly explained what happened. I was told they had 3 employees working and it was “impossible” that my call was not answered, like I don’t have anything better to do than lie to Papa John’s about a bottle of Pepsi. Despite this I tried reasoning with them, to no avail… had to go through the bank in the end. Isn’t this just fraud???

I've never left a bad review before but, honestly, I cannot believe the terrible customer service I have just received. Firstly, the team would not take my order over the phone but then answered my friend and was happy to take their order. I then called again 15 minutes before collection which they advised my friend then asked me to wait. I waited 5 minutes then put the phone down. When my friend called, they took the order but missed two pizzas. I was at work whilst they were messing around. I will not be a returning customer.

Pizza and sides are cold, don't know why if they came directly from the store which is four mins drive away. Driver was probably waiting around in his car, took over an hour to get here.

We ordered a pizza on the 4th of October. After following the tracker the pizzas showed to be out of the oven after 20mins. It took another 20 mins for the pizza to be sent out for delivery and another 20 mins for it to arrive. Due to this the pizza was cold and missing a topping.

I'd score a zero if I could 2hours and 15 mins for my pizza to arrive and it was cold. Tried to chase this and they didn't seem to care. Got a email once my pizza had arrived saying sorry we kept you here's £5 off your next order... well that won't be used as I'm not ordering from them again

Completely wrong pizza received. When I rang to possibly get a replacement I was told I was going to have to walk all the way to Ecclesall Road to get another, even though the original was delivered to my home. Ridiculous though I would actually consider doing if I wasn't self-isolating. Having to contact customer service now since there pizzas are not exactly cheap and I don't fancy wasting £20 of my money. Never ordering from here again and horrible customer service from the guy on the phone. #PizzaHutForTheWin

We ordered 2x pizzas and 2x sides as part of a combo. The only edible thing was the potato tots. There was far too much vegan cheese on the jackfruit pepperoni pizza and it had melted into a thick slop. It was way undercooked yet, somehow, the jackfruit pepperoni was burnt. We usually Oder wood fired pizza from small takeaways but really fancied a vegan pepperoni which we can’t get from our usual places. I wish we had never swayed. Between the two of us, we made it through 2 slices of pizza. Tried scraping off some of the masses of sludgy cheese from the third to make it edible - it didn’t work. Anyone contemplating ordering vegan pizza from here? Don’t.

The fact this Papa John's on ecclesall road is still open amazes me. On many occasions delivery (during COVID lockdown), the delivery drivers have refused to wear masks, with one deliverer calling COVID a "hoax". When I have called up the store direct, I was once told by a member of staff that "we [Papa John's] don't have to follow the government guidelines". I sincerely doubt that is true. For those who still think one-star is too mean, I have ordered many times and received not what I ordered, especially the Amarillo Sauce which often ends up the pizza having the usual tomato sauce instead. Also, I often order the Vegan Sheese alternative on the pizza, but I have had regular Cheese put on instead multiple times. If you have a dietary requirements or an allergy, I recommend not ordering from here unless you are willing to check your food first or risk an allergic reaction.

Worst service I have ever suffered. same story as others, and waited two hours for a pizza only for it to arrive and be wrong, infact not one item was correct, will be going into store tomorrow to chase up a refund, save yourself the hassle and do not order from here.

This store is probably the worst store in entire Sheffield. The Pakistani fellow answering the phone was rude and abusive, he should be fired ASAP.

I have ordered with this branch online a few times and it has usually been fine. This time, one Pizza was COMPLETELY wrong and they had to be contacted about this several times in order to get someone out to replace it with the correct one. Order was received shortly after 6 and during this time, my partner and I called up several times and was told different things each time by an Indian man. We were lied to SEVERAL times about the whereabout of the replacement. Around 9PM, three HOURS after delivering the wrong item, we were told the replacement is on its way (third time they claimed this!) and AGAIN, nothing! We live 10 minutes away and were lied to again...not a great ordeal. I ended up calling and telling them we are not bothered for the replacement and that we were absolutely angry... Just for a WHOLE REPLACEMENT of the ENTIRE ORDER to show up around 10.30PM...Safe to say a lot of food was wasted and we were both incredibly angry and disappointed by this experience. Although the food is nice, I do NOT reccomend Papa John's unless you want to be lied to by incompetent staff who will happily take your money and mess you around. Whoever the Indian lad is needs to be fired ASAP. Absolutely appealing. And it's safe to sya I will not come back. Take your business elsewhere!

Pizza is so good, and marmite dough balls were the highlight. Garlic dip was horrible though 😂

Awful service - when we rang to try and place an order we were told they didn’t deliver to our address and wouldn’t take our order over the phone, but they would if we ordered through just eat, which was bizarre. The driver ignored the instructions on the order and we weren’t able to get hold of him, when he eventually rang us back, he was rude and hung up on us! Eventually got the pizza and it was cold, he just smirked at us and wouldn’t admit he’d not read the instructions. Pizza itself wasn’t worth the hassle, mediocre food at best. Wouldn’t bother again, their staff are disinterested and rude.

Estábamos tan emocionados de tener una nueva sucursal abierta a la vuelta de la esquina de nosotros, ya que habíamos escuchado cosas buenas sobre las pizzas, por lo que decidimos disfrutar de una comida para llevar rara. Intentamos hacer un pedido en línea, pero no obtuvo el código de descuento, y no estábamos preparados para pagar 48 por 3 pizzas pequeñas (ya que todos queremos algo diferente) y dos lados. Llamamos a la sucursal y el pedido se realizó con el descuento. Nos dijeron que la entrega podría demorar hasta una hora, y de hecho era la hora exacta. Desafortunadamente, cuando llegó todo estaba frío y los tater tots no estaban completamente cocinados. Las coberturas de las pizzas eran escasas, con solo una capa muy delgada de salsa y queso. Honestamente, no me hubiera importado el hecho de que la pizza no apareció, es una oficina, no son las cosas más fáciles de acceder, pero la forma en que el personal trató mi queja fue horrible. Realmente decepcionado, ya que es difícil encontrar una buena pizza vegana y ahora no usaría esta sucursal si me pagases por miedo a tener que volver a llamarlos y hablar como c ** p.

Absolutely shocking service!!! Ordered pizza to office as a surprise for a friend on my day off, asked other colleagues to stand at all entrances of the office so it definitely wouldn’t get missed and then when no one showed up the papa johns staff couldn’t have cared less and said that dealing with me was ‘the last thing he wanted to be doing’ and that he had ‘spent too much time on it already’. Honestly, I wouldn’t have minded the fact the pizza didn’t show up, it’s an office, they’re not the easiest things to access but the way the staff dealt with my complaint was horrendous. Really disappointed as it’s hard to find good vegan pizza and now wouldn’t use this branch if you paid me to for fear of having to call them up again and be spoken to like c**p.

3 hours and counting waiting for my order, staff do not answer the phone disgusting service

Service is appaulling. I tried ringing up to cancel and order and nobody has picked up the phone. I'm still being charged for something I've not even had yet. I've had a previous occassion before where the delivery was almost 2 hours late and when it arrived it was cold. I was promised a free pizza but there was no option to retrieve this. This is shocking and I'm pretty sure it's illegal, don't go here, I know I won't be going again.

Phoned this establishment up at 5pm,, gave my name telephone number, address, post code, discussed cash on delivery,,delivery being the most important word,, brilliant,, phone call 90mins later, saying your collection is going cold,, blamed me turned up at 20.00hrs,, unacceptable poor poor customer service,,

Waited an hour and a half for a pizza we never ate. We rang after 45 minutes and told them that I was leaving to catch a coach, and needed the pizza within 30 minutes- and after 30 minutes I rang again and asked to cancel the one pizza that was mine that was on the order. The man on the phone was rude, extremely dismissive and didn't understand our problem at all. I have not been able to get a refund, or speak to any customer services about this. Extremely disappointed.

Not that great for the price. There’s a dominos down the road for roughly similar prices and it’s considerably nicer. Normally a fan of papa johns but this one is just not worth the money.
