No way as good as they used to be and it’s the same dissspointment in the Southampton one too so prob a purposeful implemented change across the business.

The 'manager' was the worst person to deal just laughed down the phone and said oh well after messing up

Papa John’s does the best vegan pizza for my son who has an allergy to cow’s milk. They also do Ben and Jerry vegan cookie dough ice cream. Delivery double quick too

The chap running the counter on Thursday was a brilliant 'front of house' - a great addition to the biz and the pizzas were on form as usual - Well done Papa John's... Keep up the good work and great food! 🍕🍕✌️💪😎

Delivery driver couldn’t find address after three calls and asked me to come out of my house not happy I even pinned on the map my exact location

I have ordered from here for years with no problems but on the last 2 orders I have paid for 2 extra special garlic sauces at 59p each and both times they have put in one garlic and herb dip in place of a special garlic sauce. I've had to pay twice for dips that I don't like which is not right. Please stop.

Pizza was amazing. Cinnamon dessert was black and tasted burnt. Call to question the condition of the dessert to be told thats the way it is now because of new ingredients and there was nothing they would do about it. Won't be ordering again

The whole house had diarrhoea after eating pizza. So sorry for my 1-year-old child who cried the whole night definitely due to a stomach ache. Their food handling, safe storage, freshness of toppings and hygiene is very questionable.

Ordered two pizzas and garlic bread at 19.16 pm . 19.35 tracker said out for delivery , pizza didn’t turn up till 20.20 pm . Delivery driver just shoved it into husbands hands and went . Went to serve up pizza and it was cold and rubbery . Called store they didn’t care and put phone down . Place has really gone downhill

The vegan pizza was not. Looks malicious and there was clearly a handful on normal cheese on the pizza. Made my wife very sick. When complained nothing was done manager didn't care and made excuses.

Please guys don’t waste your time on buying pizza from this place because when you tell them to put a thing on the pizza they don’t and when you don’t tell them to put a thing on a pizza they do-disgusting customer service.

Unprofessional tonight. Order said ready to collect, it was not. A member of staff shouting at a member of staff in full view of customers. Wasn't great to see nor was it a professional way to deal with staff.

Was really cold no apologies from the driver. I had already called the store they didn't seem too bothered either when I first called to ask where my order was.

It took almost an hour and the food was not hot, despite only being a few hundred yards away from where we live.

I previously done a trail shift there and had seen how they make pizzas. don’t wash there hands or anything it’s discusting. they take take advantage of 16 year old kids making them work 20+ hours a week while on a full time college timetable. awful service, not clean or hygienic at all.

Takeaway pizza. Up there with most of the other chains.

So we ordered some pizzas to eat while watching the new Hocus pocus film. While looking through the allergy advice I got really confused, some of it says ingredient allergens, gluten, wheat, milk, then say may contain none. This on a cheese pizza. You cannot lost the allergens in something and then put none. Also I'm very disappointed that you have to order gluten free base's over the phone, as they are not listed on the app or website under the custom section. There is butternut squash base...that is thankfully gluten free, but this not stated on the allergy advice or not that I could see (and I have read to read everything to make sure I don't eat anything with gluten). This is some that needs improvement ASAP

DON’T HAVE ANYTHING FROM THERE !!! Disgusting service. We ordered a pizza quite late at night coz they are open until nearly 02:00am. Firstly the online order wouldn’t work so I had to ring & place the order. When it finally arrived the box was soggy & was for another address. The other address had our order ! We rang the shop who contacted the driver who got our pizza. We refused to take it because: 1: the pizza had been in someone’s house 2: they could have touched it, you don’t know nowadays. ( COVID ) 3: it was stone cold etc etc The shop wouldn’t refund us. He said ring tomorrow speak to a manager who was supposed to ring us back. NO, did they heck ! So we rang again today asking for a refund. He reluctantly processed it & said a text would come through to confirm , it didn’t . I’ll be emailing head office & the store. AVOID, AVOID ! AVOID !

I thought I’d try the Butternut Squash base as I require Gluten Free. We collected the order. Pizza looked good but for £17 I think I’ll stick to frozen ones. It was okay, but nothing special. It didn’t seem to have enough cheese. Also had the tater tots and buffalo cauliflower but they were cold. We collected 3 mins after the tracking said it was ready so no idea how it was cold

This is the third time this branch has failed to deliver basic service. Three individual times we’ve had items missing despite mentioning it in the request box. Food is always cold and of poor quality. Will not be ordering again and advise you to avoid as well.

I asked for food to be left in porch due to being in a wheelchair. Food was great time was spot on. Just had difficulty getting to the door I queried this with the delivery guy and he had not been notified to leave it in the porch.

It's unfortunate for Papa John's that they linked me to a complete save vouchers scheme. Becareful what you sign up for. Took me a while to notice and a £6saving then led to the most expensive pizza I ever bought as money dripped from my account each month. I have to accept liability as should monitor my account more, but obviously thought I was just ordering a pizza and was eager to get done. By papa John's signing up with these people I will never buy here again and recommend others do the same. Cheaper in the long run.

Terrible, never even turned up and when we spoke to him he said his driver had broken down. He’s either telling the truth and doesn’t know how to manage a situation telling us it would be 15 mins. The AA are good but they ain’t that good. Or he’s lying which is even worse. Below you’ll see a picture of my pizza

We ordered XL pizza what arrived was just normal size. They were ice cold and not that great. Very, very expensive pizza don’t order the XL there is no point it’s the same size as a normal from anywhere else! The pepperoni is paper thin and tasteless. Overall poor performance.

Arrived ridiculously late, interestingly, they claim via the app the pizza has been delivered a while before it has - this is because the head office monitor times and the temptation to say things have been delivered - to avoid a non-bonus - when they haven’t is obviously too much. When the food finally arrives (really late), it is cold and dry. The outlet don’t really care, head office refer you to the outlet and the circle continues. Stick to Dominos, Papa Johns will let you down and nobody cares. Assume it’s a chain of franchise-owned stores and the buck is passed. Terrible food, terrible quality and no customer service whatsoever.

The food didn’t arrive at all

When order submitted estimated delivery was 1825-1845 I called at 1910 to be told driver will be 10 mins I asked when order had been dispatched he said 5 minutes ago So the order was despatched 20 minutes after it should have been delivered Excuse was they were busy!!!!

Pizza was never delivered. The restaurant wasn’t helpful when called and the delivery driver was abusive to my wife when they called for directions Very poor service and wouldn’t order from them again

there should be some update service to tell you your food is running late ! I don't mind it being late I just have a problem with the fact you don't tell me if I was over 45 minutes late collecting it and not informed you I am sure you would have thrown it away or sold it to someone else ! better Communication please as far as just eat is concerned i was tucking into a delicious pizza 45 minutes ago and yet i wasn't I rang twice only to be told it would be 15 -20 mins each time I live less then 15 mins away !

Our potato was under cooked, pizza was cold not cooked to standard, chocolate dough balls were burnt the only thing edible was the BBQ chicken wings. I won't be ordering again . I understand we ordered late at night , being that my husband is a chef and works 12 hrs I thought I would treat him . So this is a huge disappointment.

Nearly 2 hrs between ordering and delivery. Twice requested update, 2 new times given and neither adhered to! 2nd time now, won't use papa John's again

Not usual papa John's quality, both pizzas and garlic bread was burned on the bottom, not up to usual standard! Very disappointing after spending £47 on 2 large pizzas and 1 side thinking you pay for quality

The only complaint would be how mean the toppings were. I paid for double beef and put it in the notes and there was still hardly any. Such a shame as the pizza is good.

There doesn't seem to be a deep pan option, which is a shame. The toppings were a bit sparse and there wasn't enough cheese to hold them on. I couldn't detect any garlic in the garlic sauce, just a very buttery taste. But the pizza tasted OK and arrived quickly.

Potato tots were a bit weird and food wasn't very hot but pizza was very tasty

Lesson learned - stick to dominos! Ventured to papa johns to see what it was like - never again! 🤢 all of the pizzas in our large order were lukewarm, reallllyyyy chewy and some were soggy. Called them as it arrived (hour and a half after ordered) to let them know - was told the reason was because they were really busy??? - I advised logic would indicate if you’re too busy to provide a quality service you shouldn’t take on any more orders. They asked if we had eaten it... I said the children had partially eaten some, adults had not - (children had because they pretty much had no other choice as they needed to go to bed), though did question what difference it would make? If we hadn’t - would they want us to return the uneaten pizza? Odd question? Not sure why it would make any difference to the quality of the pizza? Eaten or not - it wasn’t to a good standard at all - especially for £18.99 a pop!? Offered replacement pizza’s (I do appreciate the offer) but declined as the new pizza would just go to waste as it’s too late- pretty much put off by the first load and really can’t imagine why on earth I would ever want pizza from here again. I might suggest papa johns go for a ‘right first time’ approach as opposed to a ‘try salvage the situation after the first failure’. I recommended we be granted a gesture of goodwill (didn’t expect a full refund at all) - told there are no managers there until Monday by supervisor ‘maz’. Look forward to a manager calling me Monday......

Ordered Papa John’s for lunch (my 10 year old suggested it) & what a great choice. There was plenty to choose from. The base was absolutely devine, & grease free & the toppings were fresh. The pizzas tasted amazing & the Potato tots were a massive hit!! This is a new favourite for us.

Having only recently moved to the area, and having a house full of pizza lover's we thought we'd give it a try. Glad we did It's a new favorite in our house, great deals, great menu with plenty of choice of sides and great tasting pizza
