Delicious food and good customer’s service from staff

Called in to ask if theyre hiring drivers, and they answered no which is fair but just hung up while i was speaking 26/06/2024 13:30pm

The guy was very friendly and nice

We tried ordering 2 time last week from this store after getting everything noted we made a request to change the original tomato pizza base with garlic base for our pizzas. But the guy on the phone started saying we don't do this, i am working here from last 1 year i know how papa john works and lastly he said if you want it you have to pay extra £1.70 for each pizza. Then i tried Bearwood store of papa johns and they straight away said its totally fine we do it and without any extra charge. So just want to let him know who thinks he know everything this is how papa johns work not like what you think.

Doesn't deserve one star delivery driver had ago at me for ordering the pizza said it was too far away even though my take away place was shut and it automatically gives me the closest one. I paid for the delivery you should of cancelled my order and given me a refund if it was too far but no you accepted the order I didn't expect to get told off by the delivery driver when I got my food. I will NEVER order from you again

Awful. Ordered twice in last month from here. 1st time the stuff crust was missing. 2nd time. Potato tots and cheese... however no cheese. Peri peri chicken bites were the wrong ones. 2 half and half pizzas but one was the same on the whole pizza. Try to call up and get grief off the staff, what's the point. Won't order from here again. Awful

Ordered pizza and chicken peri peri kickers, what I got was not peri peri and the toppings on the pizza were merger and thats being generous with the words. Called the outlet to find one person could talk english and that was not great. Was told to go to customer services and when i did it took them 3 weeks to deal or not deal with it. I was advised as i did not have photographic proof the unit woyld not refund. If it was possible to leave zero stars you would qualify. Overpriced and useless, save your cash and give it a wide swerve.

Cannot comment on atmosphere as food was delivered. All I can say is that food was delicious, hot and came on time. Different half and half pizzas was ordered for 4 adults and 3 children. Every one enjoyed. Will definitely order from here again:)

I had ordered pizza via the Papa John's website for 8pm, but when I checked their tracker, it was ready by 740pm and they were ringing me by 745pm. There was no way I'd have got there by that time, which is why I ordered for 8. I told them when I picked it up, this is cold and I ordered for 8pm, what was the point! They told me their order system just shows the pizza and their advice is to get it ready asap and its better for me to ring if I want a time against it....ok? Staff made me a fresh one straight away and kindly sent me away with the cold one to have some other time - 10/10 service so thank you. Message to Papa John's if you're interested, give the staff a chance and show them the times.

Just had a terrible experience with this branch. We ordered online for collection but were never given a collection time and the online tracker was not updated. After 45 minutes of waiting for any change we rang the store to get an estimated time, only to discover that the pizza had been sat waiting for ages and we were never going to be informed. The man we spoke to on the phone was incredibly ride and hung up on us twice. Once when we rang to find out what was happening, and once when we tried to cancel the order. As we obviously don't want a pizza that has been growing cold now for close to an hour, our only option is to send an email to head office. Terrible, terrible service.

Normally never had an issue with this restaurant, however on this occasion the service and customer service was terrible. I ordered online through Papa Johns website, the order was then sent to my local branch which is in oldbury. I had ordered this as a treat for my staff as it was my birthday, the pizza was made and delivered in time, I collected the pizza from the driver and handed it to my staff. On my order I had ordered extra mushrooms on one of the pizzas, so I proceeded to check the restaurant had added them, no prizes for guessing they didn’t, I took a picture but my staff had eaten two slices already. I promptly called the restaurant and explained the issue, I even asked the lady if they can kindly refund they extra money I had paid for the extra topping ( not the whole amount) the lady on the other side proceeded to offer me the extra mushrooms to be added on my next order, i however refused as we all know this will never happen. The lady then became rude and hostile, she made it look as it was my fault and told me “you should have checked, it’s your responsibility”. As a restaurant if you’ve done your job properly then there would be no issue, I told her I have a picture as proof but the staff had eaten two pieces, she then accused me of taking a photo and eating the pizza in the hope of getting a free pizza, how rude can someone be, I was very offended but the attitude. After much consultation she then offered to replace the pizza at which point I agreed and she quickly cut the call, no apologies no sorry no byes. Had the rude lady on the phone agreed to this initially and not offended me then this review would have been very different. I honestly think the staff need to lean sum manners as they are free and don’t cost anything.

Completely uncooked and disgusting pizza.

Usually have no problems, but an issue on Friday has stopped me from ordering here ever again. £30 spent on a meal only for the store to say it didn't come through, refused point black when I went and gave proof that money had been taken and I had order confirmation. Told me to contact head office to get a response in 24 hours, it's since been 4 days. Staff started talking in their own language in front of me when dealing with my complaint which I thought was really rude and not transparent at all. AVOID

I tasted the food before. But, never have I seen a "Fee" for a 5 minuete walk when I asked for delivery, also its very overprieced.

Jaspreet, jaspreet, jaspreet, what more can I say. From the moment we walked into the door, till the moment we got home. Talk about the greatest papa John's customer experience I have ever received. Not only did we get the largest pizza possible we also created the most beautiful memories and topped up our food supplies for days to come. One large pizza over 1 hour for delivery . Not using this place again.

Absolutely disgusted to find an extremely long hair imbedded into our garlic pizza sticks! Phoned the branch and said about the hair to which the lady on the phone said "I wear a hair net" and was told "we'll sort something next time". Which I disagreed with and asked them to sort it straight away. I also told her that my hair is blue and this hair was brown and 100% imbedded into the dough as you can see from the pictures. We then waited 40 minutes for a replacement which to be honest we didn't want and didn't eat. The guy who delivered the replacement said "how strange", nope not strange disgusting. This place needs inspecting from what I've experienced and from reading other reviews. How gross.

The delivery experience really pushes the ratings down, over 30 minutes for a fast food pizza is just way too long, the pizza was however pretty good, I prefer pizza hut by a country mile.

Very bad staff i made a order for 2 large pizzas 1 for adults and 1 for kids they made a wrong order and then staff was arguing with us please if you order from here think twice I don't want to give them any star and I don't want go again there REALLY ANGRY

Ordered pizza over the phone for collection staff member was very helpful and assisted with any questions I had. Once I arrived at the store again the staff were helpful and friendly and on top of it pizza was delicious would definitely recommend giving them a try you won't be disappointed

Ordered the first time from here the service was great, however the food was terribile had to throw all away. I’ll rather buy pizza from a local shop or domino’s than here.

Right so 2 times I’ve order from here pizza is nice but they put this nasty butter in the pizza and taste nasty same has the garlic butter dip they give you.

Ordered food in advance over phone, collection time 15-minutes and food was hot ready on time. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Takeaway was clean. We had 50% off pizzas. Tried jackfruit "pepperoni" pizza and garden party on an original base we all enjoyed the taste.

Decided to try out this new store in oldbury as an avid papa johns fan i was looking forward to having a store so close to my house. But upon entering the store i was greeted with stiff faced staff member from the back who didnt seem like he could be bothered. no problem im not here to make friends im here for a pizza, as i scanned the menu i noticed they had a vegan section with vegan cheese. Feeling excited i queried about this item.but the response again was a bit uninviting. so i asked if i could try a bit of the cheese before i purchased it “just to see if it passes.. now this is were it gets interesting after what felt like i had to beg the staff member he pulls his hands out of his pocket then dips his hand directly in the tub of cheese and proceeds to grab a few bits of cheese to hand to me... HELL NO mate ... at no point did i see you wash your hands to be honest i dont even know what you was up to round the back before you came to serve. Tryed to give the server a lecture on customer hygiene but was faced with a response of this is what we do and a kinda dont give a damn attitude.no apology no acknowledgement of foul practice and to top it off he then tells me he is the manager of the store. His attitude was terrible and disgusting and upon me saying i should make a complaint i was told to go ahead. WOW . if you wanna try vegan cheese then buy a pizza ... i will never go back to that particular store management are rude and unprofessional

Obsessed with their pizzas. It's the only pizza place nearby that does vegan pizza- which is a must as I am lactose intolerant. Staff are friendly and food is ready in record time. Bargain price of £6.99 for a large pizza on collection. It's our go to takeaway on cheat day.

Ordered at 20past 6. Food was here 20mins later. Brilliant pizza. Perfeclty cooked. And delivery driver was very friendly and polite. Definitely will order again!
