Pangs Chinese Restaurant in Hillingdon

We dined in with our young son and ordered off their set menu £20pp and chose options. We were told there was no children’s menu so thought if we ordered extra bits for our child it should be enough. The main meal arrived on one plate - a small portion and not great quality compared to takeaways we purchased say a year or so ago. If we had seen the rest of the menu on the back page we would have ordered individual portions of food. Starters were old and not fresh - clearly reheated and quality was poor. We had to get a portion of chips from across the road on the way home for my son to actually eat dinner. Service was stroppy and everything we asked for was an extra charge with attitude - we were very unhappy with the food at £70 bill. We opted not to pay the service charge as it was all shocking and unhelpful. Wine served was a cheap Hardys bottle of Shiraz - apple juice was not fresh either, just concentrate cheap stuff. Really sad experience and a waste of money.

Food had to be heated up as it was very cold but very nice

This was excellent when it was a Buffet and always very busy at weekends. I revisited recently and the restaurant was almost empty. If the business wants to survive they should go back to being a Buffet.

Next to Co-op in Long Lane there was a Chinese takeaway called the Dragon Inn. It was far better than Pangs and it was our 'go to' choice for a Chinese, but then tragically the DI closed their kitchen for good, leaving their customers with the choice of finding a local takeaway as good as the DI or crossing Long Lane to Pangs. After trying practically every Chinese in the locality, we came back to Pangs, because to be honest, their food isn’t that bad. Slightly different from the DI, but we eventually got used to the changes. However, after a while we realised that the prices had been gradually going up and up, leaving us with an uncomfortable debit card bill for a very average meal. We no longer use Chinese takeaways when we fancy one. Instead, we'll get a Supermarket Chinese meal, thus saving us a few quid. Not so much choice, but we’re over it.

So disappointed and tasted terrible worst Chinese I have ever had and tasted off and just eat wouldnt give a refund waste of money and food hygiene is only 1 star should wish I knew before I ordered

I haven’t been in a few years to Pangs and it’s fair to say I won’t be going again at £25 for 1 meal I was met with ratty chicken skewers and congealed peanut sauce and a replacement of the other chicken I ordered with a bag of wet soggy chips PLEASE DONT GO TO THIS PLACE!!!

What has happened to Pangs? Have eaten here a few times recently and now a take away. The restaurant has no atmosphere and it’s like going back in time. All so dated and really not inviting. Stay away from the Sweet & Sour sauce. Tastes terrible, like it has gone off and a dodgy colour. Food is not great, not like it used to be. We won’t be eating here again.

I ordered dry ribs and they arrived covered in a very salty sauce. Raised this with just eat who don’t seem to understand the order was incorrect and refuse to refund item

Extremely disappointed! Ordered a portion of Spare Ribs, upon opening the box I saw there were only 3. I thought this must be some kind of mistake, so I called them. Only to be told that, that's the portion. For £8, I'm not gonna lie I felt ripped off. Certainly won't be ordering from here again.

Over done beef with bok choy the egg fried rice had hardly any egg and tasted of potpourri or incense so did the prawn crackers the veg chow mein was greasy with limp veg nothing tasted fresh everything tasted overcooked and of strange incense. Over priced and mediocre

I used to enjoy the food from Pangs but been about 2 years I have not ordered so thought would give it a try today. I had to bin the roast duck and mushrooms as the duck tasted stale and I couldn’t chew it. The mushrooms not clean looking and had a funny taste. The bamboo shoots and water chestnuts were tasteless so went in the bin too. The only thing I ate from this order was the pak choi in garlic sauce. A complete waste of my good money

Everything was lovely. Really nice. My only complaint and what I won't order again is the Dry Ribs.£8.80 for 3 ribs is a huge liberty. The food was good though.

Soup spilt by your driver so cannot now eat it. Won’t be using just eat again

I always order from Pangs but the last two orders food has been very dry and not very nice. So want be ordering from them again

Got a takeaway from here. Double the price, half the portion size compared to anywhere else locally. Chicken balls mostly batter and soggy, wings were brown inside. And both my partner and I have been ill since eating.

sweet and sour chicken tasted great as well as the sweetcorn soup. the fried rice with egg tasted at bit like cardboard.

I requested for food without onions, however, the entire food I ordered was loaded with onions. its the small details that makes the difference

when he delivered it a 3rd of curry missing cause the lid had come open didn't leave a review the other day cause I had the right hump

We ordered a takeaway and it was disgusting the pancake rolls were full of grease and had to much batter on them as were the same with the chicken balls, rice tasted old and dry and the noodles were greasy with no flavour. To top it all I was up all night with sickness and diarrhoea, even though I only had a little bit, after tasting everything, will definitely not recommend or go back

The food was absolutely brilliant as I expected it to be. Food portions were fair and the quality was great. Only downfall is that they missed something from our order, I called the restaurant and they were very helpful with explaining how to rectify this. This won’t stop me from ordering again though, although it would be good to see them hire their own delivery driver incase something like this happens again so the driver can redeliver. Great experience par the missing order.

I had beef and green peppers with black bean sauce, chicken chow main and it was beautiful so fresh and delicious. A wonderful meal and cooked with care

This restaurant is far too underrated. When we went here a few years ago, there was a lunchtime buffet of only £5-10, and you could have unlimited refills. There were nice chilled drinks, and the atmosphere was always quite and peaceful due to few diners. The ice cream was nice too.

Waited an age to get served. Got my order wrong, but the food was very tasty.

I don’t mind paying more for something when it is good, however half the size and twice the price and there was an awful after taste, I had better not be sick tomorrow! Never again… PANGS you have let yourselves and your customers down….

Tasteless, chicken and cashew nuts had 3 small pieces of chicken, hardly any cashew nights - was all chestnuts and bamboo. No sauce. Salt and pepper chicken had no taste at all. Even the prawn crackers were tasteless. Wont use again

I never received the sweet and sour chicken balls

Chicken wasn’t cooked. I know corn starch is used to tenderise the chicken and have eaten from pangs from many times and it’s always been great but today my chicken wasn’t cooked and was even cold in the centre. There was hardly any garnish on the prawns and the garnish that was there was brown and stale. The portion of the meal box was very small with four pieces of chicken all of which were undercooked. Really dissatisfied with the food today.

Had a lovely meal here. Food was excellent and plentiful - had to take some home, and the service was friendly and helpful. We were quite early and it was getting busier as we left. Highly recommended, we will go again

The food was cold. The delivery driver was unpacking her bag in my doorway asking to take photos of my oreder. She was clearly confused and didn’t know what she was doing.

Pangs chicken and black bean never fails!! It was tender and super tasty! And the prawns were also very tasty and fresh. Thoroughly enjoyed my meal :)

If I could give no stars I would . Used to go here 5 years ago when the buffet was open it was really nice . Now it’s all ala-carte , the food was disgusting didn’t even get past the starters to the mains . We’ll never go back here again

This is ridiculous you’ve charged me £8 for 3 single ribs in what world is that acceptable utterly disgusted the whole of my order is a joke and this place used to be good go elsewhere

Ordered the lamb curry not seasoned enough and the thin lamb slices were chewey, squid was really soggy and oily, chicken fried rice was tasty, sesame prawn on toast was slightly over done corners tasted burnt, I am a chef I taste my food before I send out my orders.

First time using Just Eat and Pangs, lovely food, arrived hot and bang on time. Thankyou.

Delivery driver didn’t even attempt to buzz into my flat complex he waited on the wrong and expected my to come out of my building and out of my compound onto the main road. I wouldn’t have been bothered but he didn’t even attempt to buzz in and deliver my food

Average, the egg fried rice was clumpy and had a strange taste to it compared to all others that I have tried. The beef chow was poor and very greasy, the chips were very dry. The sweet and sour chicken Hong Kong style was nice but the sauce was too thick and gloopy. The salt and chilli chicken was OK. We won't be going back anytime soon

Below average food, not freshly made like most local places. Used to be a great restaurant with the best Chinese food, now I guess lockdown or just eat has changed that

Popped in here for our last meal in London. The food was lovely and the service was excellent. Unfortunately we were the only diners and this did nothing for the atmosphere. An enjoyable evening meal with nice cold drinks. Would visit again!

Honestly some of the nicest Chinese food we’ve had in such a long time! Ordered delivery so can’t speak to atmosphere, but wow - chicken, prawns, veg, rice, spring rolls, all their chow mein - just beautiful. And we’re difficult to satisfy! Thank you

Best Singapore noodles cooked in area and they always cooked really fast

Decor is shabby with dirty carpets. Food not good and very overpriced. We mentioned that crispy duck was reheated and overcooked. Waiter didnt even respond. Oil needs changeing as food was dark as if cooked in old oil. Wouldnt go back and didnt leave a tip.

I ordered food through Deliveroo to be delivered yesterday: order nr.8348 For dietary changes you need to post order call the restaurant. I called 14 times to get through and NO one answered the phone. I never got through and then the food was at the door. My boys have allergy and dietary specifications that I could found not pass on. So the dinner for them was RUINED. As well I ordered the char Siu which was swimming in an onion sauce. NOTHING Chinese about this! No idea where this dish comes from clearly not traditional Chinese after living in Asia for 8 years. I spent £73 on this meal and it was a disaster for the boys How can you run a restaurant and not answer the phone for dietary requirements as this is the only option I have. Be warned

AVOID ! AVOID HE ASSAULTED MY FRIEND GRABBING HER ARM. My friend and I wanted to share the dishes so ordered from the menu as the set meals my friend couldn’t eat some of the dishes. The restaurant was empty we were the only one in there ( should have told us something then )! The manager / owner was quite rude kept coming over to take our order when we were still deciding on what to have. My friend and I worked out that our meal would come to £21.50 each. ( this was without drinks we ordered them after ordering the meal ) The manager / owner over heard us discussing how much it would be each. He promptly brought the bill over and said it was £44 and not 21.50. The food was awful we complained to the manager / owner who went out the back for 5 minutes My friend and I decided to leave as we didn’t eat the food and didn’t know why he ( manager ) had gone at the back without asking us what was wrong with the food or should that be lack of it very small portions certainly not for two people. We started to leave the premises when my friend was grabbed by the arm by the manager/ owner. This is ASSULT he hurt her arm and tried to stop us from leaving. We were not going to Pay for a meal that we didn’t eat. Once we had got out and safely into my car we drove round the corner and telephoned the police. The police took down my friends details and will be in touch with her about this.

We just ordered egg fried rice & special fried rice, sweet & sour chicken balls & hong kong style, & beef in black bean source. The lady was very polite on the phone & very friendly when collected. The portions were generous & really tasty. The beef wasnt chewy like our local is. Very nice indeed.

I always order from Pangs, to this day the best Chinese food around! The food is always cooked to perfection and the portions are just right. Incredible food!

Tasteless bland food, Satay was overcooked and hard to chew

The fried rice had no taste at all,there was limited meat in them, and the pork tasted like it had gone off. My family and I are disappointed, when you spend £31 we expected better quality.

The meat in the crispy beef tasted old and had a strange smell. It wasn't crispy either, just limp and soggy and chewy. The capital spare ribs were very nice, as was the lamb curry. The portion sizes were decent. However, the quality was not of the standard that I have experienced in the past from Pangs. The service and speed of delivery was exceptional.

Sorry but the chicken satay was over cooked and the peanut sauce was so thick and bitter. The chicken chow main was dry and way to much salt. Sorry for this review but this food was not good. Looking at your reviews they seem to be good, but not on this occasionIt seemed the chicken satay was not fresh and the restaurant needs to think about it’s customers if they want to have them return.

I have gotten Pangs twice now and I write this review as I am eating Chow Mein, House special curry, salt and chilli chips and egg fried rice. This place is phenomenal they are generous with their portions, the curry had HUGE pieces of beef chicken and pork in it, and plenty to spare. The salt and pepper chips are literally the best you will EVER find. The chow mein is so delicious I feel like I could marry it. This is my goto place for Oriental cuisine from now on, perfect pricing for perfect food. THANK YOU PANGS 😊😊

Had a lovely meal last night, the staff couldn't do more for you and were really friendly. I wide choice of food that once ordered cam out quickly and tasted amazing.
