Panda House in Newport

Like a vertically challenged person covered in Jam, I’ll keep it short and sweet. Never had a bad meal from this place and we’ve ordered a number of times. Great food, great quality, always hot on delivery.

Had a slight issue with last order being late, so was given 50% off next order. This was upheld on ordering tonight and the food was on time, delicious, hot, fresh, with friendly customer service both on ordering and receiving the food. Thank you again for amazing food and service as per usual!

Always use this place, consistently delicious, tried other places in Newport this is the best Chinese takeaway

I’ve always ordered from Panda House since living in Newport. Unfortunately after tonight I will not be doing that ever again. I ordered at 7.30.. rung around 8 just to ask politely what time it would arrive as there was no indication of an estimate on the website, and was quite rudely told it would arrive within the 90 minute window. So 90 minutes passed, then another 15, so I rang back only told be told it had already been delivered.. well I certainly didn’t have it! Whilst a mistake by the driver is simply that, a mistake, I don’t mind, but I was basically accused of lying repeatedly by the woman on the phone. I had to call back 3 times, and it took another half an hour, before they eventually decided to re-cook and deliver the food. An absolute joke, barely an apology! I really wouldn’t have minded if it had just been a simple mistake of delivering to the wrong address, but the fact that they refused to believe that I didn’t have the food that I had paid for was unbelievable. And I was offered nothing to make up for the situation. Finally had the food at 10 past 10, after ordering at 7.30!!! Unbelievable.

This was the only takeaway we used but after waiting 2 hours last night for our meal that cost £69 and having not a single sorry when I rang up at 10pm to find out where it was .When it did arrive good was Luke warm and the salt and pepper box was coated in sugar it was horrible . Very disappointing birthday meal for my husband and wil now find somewhere else to have our takeaway .

We get in a Chinese about once a month. It doesn't matter if we opt to collect (top tip, there are deals if you collect) or get it delivered the food is always top notch. Good value, good service and good food. What's not to like?

Definitely recommend getting the salt and pepper box was so nice and come piping hot will definitely order again.

Love this Chinese, it is fantastic every time we order. Vegetarians and vegans check them out for sure!

I’ve ordered the salt and pepper box a few times before from them, and it was great _ however this time, it was caked in sugar! It was disgusting! I rang up for an exchange - and they said you have to put “no sugar” in the comments section - which I’ve never had to do before! They rang me back and basically told me no exchange!!! I am very unhappy, as I always used to come here. After the customer service, time and money I have wasted - this place will not have my returning custom ever again. There are better takeaways in Newport!!!

Tried this after recommendations on Newport Vegans. I wasn’t disappointed everything was tasty and the Tofu in black bean sauce was amazing we also had Veg chow mein, rice, spring rolls and curry sauce my meat eating husband also loved the takeaway he is cutting back on eating meat

We’ve recently moved to the area and needed a takeaway for NYE and were recommended Panda House. Food was ready for collection at the time requested and although a bit more expensive than I would have usually paid elsewhere, we were both delighted with what we tasted. Upon arrival to collect, the staff here were very friendly which is always a nice bonus. Prawn crackers were chucked in free Asia usual for most Chinese takeaways and they do also offer different offers on their website which are worth checking out

I ordered a collection from panda house for the first time this month. On arrival guy behind the till were friendly and takeaway looked very clean. The guy behind the till were very honest telling me to pick a free can of drink as it come with one of the meals, I kindly declined as I don’t drink fizzy drinks. But he asked was I sure as it were free, bless him. My food was ready to go in a little bag keeping it warm when I got home I couldn’t wait too open up my food. Crispy beef was very tasty and had lots of sauce. Chicken wings were full of flavour. I had a quarter of a duck but the portion size was ever so generous. This could be my new local Chinese takeaway.

When panda house burnt down I was really disappointed. But then it rose from the ashes in a better location. Personally my favourite takeaway, lovely staff and very tasty food. I'm not adventurous or my family stick to old faithfuls special fried rice, special chow men, chopsuey, chicken balls which are full of meat. As a freebie I love the sesame chicken wings amazing..... Keep up the good work guys 👍

Never had a fault with it, they always make the best food and we recommend to everyone. I've even had family members change this to their regular restaurant
