Do not order from here. Do not answer phones. When they do they say it's on its way, 3 hours later no food and no easy option for refund. Avoid

Ordered a home delivery via deliveroo at 6pm with the estimated arrival for half 6 8pm comes still no food can’t do anything through deliveroo as there is no option only option to call the restaurant- I attempted to call the restaurant over 20 times with one call being answered to tell me that the food was on the way and that they were busy - an hour later still nothing with again no answer when attempted to call the food finally arrived after 9pm and was stone cold and stale £40 wasted waiting over 3 hours for food is not acceptable with no explanation or communication with the restaurant is disgraceful I’ll never order from there again!

We've ordered a lot from this restaurant over the years and always had a decent experience. NYE we ordered food at 1900 due to be delivered between 1945 and 2015. Knowing it was NYE we waited until 2040 to call the restaurant and it took 28 attempts before they answered the phone and then 8 minutes to give me an answer and tell me it would be 20 more minutes. An hour later no food had arrived and now I couldnt get through despite 50 attempts to call. I went to bed at 2310 and still no food, despite the restaurant having said on the app that it had been delivered at 1950 which is clearly s way to bodge their business stats on just eat. I fully understand that it is NYE and it is busy but had someone been honest on the phone the one and only time I got through I would have cancelled. To then not be able to get through once after 50 attempts is insane. It's shame, and I doubt they care, but I will never order from here again

What a waste of time! NYE house full of guests. So disappointed! Ordered our food by 6pm to be delivered 7:45-8:15. 10:25pm... NOTHING HAS ARRIVED. Phoned multiple times......NO ANSWER. Left our number..... NO RETURN CALL. We will NEVER, EVER order from this sham of a company again. ORDER AT YOUR PERIL. SHAME ON THEM. EDIT. It arrived at 10:30pm. After we had finished our meal from a different restaurant.

Placed order at 5:45, food arrived at 8:45 cold and unwanted. Tried numerous times to call restaurant to get update, either no answer or line disconnected, same result when trying to call to cancel. Ordered through deliveroo and as the restaurant doesn't use deliveroo drivers only they're own drivers gave no option to cancel order without losing money only call the restaurants number that wasn't answered. Extremely bad food and service.

Delivery out of there range but still went out of the way to deliver excellent food 45mins after ordering a1 guys

We ate in the restaurant recently. The only reason the atmosphere score is lowered is because we were the only people in the place. Seems like most people get delivery. Either way the food was lovely, the service was great, the girl serving us was really friendly and warm. Amazing vegetarian and vegan range! I would definitely go back.

Ordered XO sauce on aubergines and got black bean instead very disappointed

the curry was extremely oily, one full layer of oil was visible and the Singapore vermicelli was overdone, had a burned taste .

Their delivery drivers are useless and don’t even ask a name when they deliver! Just drop It off wherever they want and is easy for them. A waste of money.

Terrible trick these take aways seem to do is update the status to “delivered” to hit there target so just eat think it’s all fine. But not even cooked your food when you chase them up by the original delivery time. Turned up 35mins late

I never leave reviews but honestly this was a shocking amount of crispy seaweed to be given, literally a mouthful for the ridiculous amount of £4.95, if it was saffron I would understand. I feel sorry for the lady on the phone who was lovely, and mentioned this is not the first complaint of the same product. When I asked for a refund, the "boss" said no and said they would give me a free portion of crispy "saffron" in this case on my next delivery, even though it was through Uber eats. I said I would leave the review if no refund was provided, so here we are. I just feel sorry again for the lady who answered, not her fault. I wish you the best of the robberies going forward. See you in Forbes magazine ££££££

The best vegan Chinese you could ever have! 100/10 we will order forever :D

I enjoyed the crispy salt and chilli chicken, the satay sauce was fantastic. The Kung Po was a just a spicy sauce and not like usual ones, but the veggies in the dish were great so I’d order from there again but a different dish

The food was very good! The duck, chicken satay, beef in black bean were all excellent The restaurant is in need of a spruce up but don’t let that put you off!

Even though my order was late, the food was hot & delicious. When I rang the restaurant the person I spoke too told me they were really busy but assured me my food was on the way.

Chips reheated, majority of the meal ended up in the bin, 0rder £26 and driver made out he had no change out of a £40, when told id rather send it back he found £10 so still overpayed. Phoned the store and just left on hold until they hung up

Very expensive for a warm late meal. But it was all there so thats a plus.

Food was nice but a bit soggy and delivery time was unacceptable to say the least and to top it off they lied about the progress twice claiming it had left but it still took another hour after that ordered at 8 and it came at 10:15 quite simply ridiculous service for a order upwards of £60. Disappointing is an understatement.

Had a delivery last night, food was great, as always. In the past we have both eaten at the restaurant and had deliveries. Service is brilliant, delivery always fast and food yummy!! Has a good Vegan selection, I especially love the Vegan chicken balls 😋

I ordered here for the first time, I was no disappointed, the chicken was cooked so well, really tender and juicy, the rice was gorgeous, food arrived super quick and hot! The sauces were amazing full of flavour. I think this has now become my favourite chinese. Thank you so much ❤x

ribs were dry ,chow mein had no taste at all, was meant to be moist but not at all and the the pancake roll was so salty. I've had food from here before and not had an issue. Awful

We're usually very happy with New World but this order was terrible. The curry sauce was like water, the Thai green curry was powdery and I'm not sure that the chicken was actually chicken.

All of it was like it was cooked and reheated. Texture not good. Soggy batter on the chicken, the duck was chewy, pancake roll was soggy. Won't order again!

Ordered a delivery last night and was told it would be an hour max. It arrived 2 and half hours later! If I’d known it would take so long I’d have ordered from elsewhere as we had children eating (the youngest fell asleep before it came). Also once it arrived we realised we were missing our chicken satay :( Food was tasty, but won’t be ordering delivery from here again.

Lovely and light rice, sweet and sour batter. Fillet steak was ‘spongy’ and unable to cut and the scallop dish stated spring onions, there were none. And why don’t you deliver of an evening?!

What is the point in specifying a time for it to arrive so early?! Luckily I was home but this has happened before - very frustrating.

Ordered delivery via deliveroo order didn’t arrived. It says order to arrive 8:50pm called the restaurant twice one at 9:15pm it says it will be ready in 8mins time waited didn’t arrive called the second time at 9:40pm it didn’t arrive called the restaurant the third time at 10:17pm no one pick up.

I have tried every vegan dish at this restaurant. Most of them are amazing, with the worst being just good. Great service and atmosphere, too.

The best Chinese restaurant we have been to. We went for dinner. Superb range of dishes. Up to now we have been using Happy Gathering but have stopped going there as, unbelievably, they now have a hygiene rating of zero! We will now be using New World as we found the staff really helpful and friendly. Definitely 5 stars! Tony, Machen.

Our first time visiting this restaurant in February. We were very pleased with our meals. They offer gluten-free options, which is brilliant. My first time visiting a Chinese restaurant in 17 years. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Restaurant was quiet, but we were eating early. Lots of take outs were being ordered. I would highly recommend it, especially if you are coeliac. I will be returning.

The owner seemed really nice and looked after us well. However it is a shame that you do not offer any non-halal meat options and this is only revealed once viewing the menu at the table This is also not mentioned on your website. Some variation would be helpful to cater for those who do not want halal meat.

We had a lovely time. Very friendly staff who couldn’t do enough to help and make sure we were happy! We had the set menu 1 plus 1/4 duck pancakes which were all good portions. Yummy food! We will be back! ☺️

First time we tried this restaurant last night and the food was fresh and delicious. Food arrived within an hour of ordering and was still hot on arrival. (Ordered through Uber eats) The food was tasty not over or under cooked and the staff were friendly.

Had a takeaway, absolutely dreadful and inedible. Everything was soggy and chewy. I called to complain and was asked to return the food - I had paid delivery so wasn’t going to drive all the way to the restaurant to give it back to them. I kept the food ready for them to collect and refund but it didn’t happen. In the end I agreed a £15 refund which still hasn't happened, they wrote down my card details to issue it and didn’t issue it, I then had to cancel my card as they had written my details down on paper. They then said they would drop the £15 cash to my house but never did. I called to chase and was told change of owner and need to speak to the new manager, I asked for a call back and they hung up on me before I could give my number. Would never order again, disgusting food and awful service!

Wow.. food so bad, i call chris tucker so we can do rush hour 9!! Chips like soggy cardboard Rice dry and hard like its been cooked by the sun for 9 months, and salt and pepper crispy chicken with no salt no pepper and soggy like the chicken pis sed itself at the state of itself. Crispy wantons.. 🤦🏽‍♂️ zero filling.. just crispy greasy shells.. food so bad i drink engine oil for fun!!! Now i type so fast i got sore finger 🤦🏽‍♂️

Amazing food. All meals can be cooked as vegetarian and vegan. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Robert the owner is fab and great fun. Will definitively be returning soon.
