I visited with my partner before Christmas 2019. We were a bit confused as to how we entered their restaurant but just went through the loud and crowded pub (We didn't mind) but we laughed about it with the owners and settled on a table. We ordered Borscht, Starter Varenyky, Dessert Varenyky and another I can't remember. All food came rather quickly (though it was just us and another couple) and was absolutely delicious! My partner is Ukrainian and has been to Ukraine before, and I had never tasted Ukrainian food before so was really pleased and impressed as was my partner. Lovely couple that run the place, though I would advise perhaps implementing something for when the noise from the pub gets too loud as it was something that I didn't find great. Otherwise the food, seating and service was excellent and I would highly recommend for anyone looking for Ukrainian food with an English Twist.

So I was greeted and served by Elle, and she was very friendly and was able to patiently explain what the dishes were. I tried the potato and cheese dumplings - they were really lovely, well-cooked and fresh. I then tried the soup that contained meat-dumplings with rich hot broth. The baked-cheese cake was served hot, with its jam. First time trying such dessert, did not disappoint. Elle also offered me a complimentary shot of vodka, that contained chocolate and chilli; it was strong and sweet. Overall, the restaurant looked and smelled clean, and the service was pleasant. It be yummy to try the rest of the dishes before the pop-up-restaurant relocates in March 2020!

It was our first time visiting Pampushka and we were really in for a treat. Between a group of us we tried about 70% of the menu and everything was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend the borscht, the duck leg and all the sides (but honestly everything is incredibly good). It's a pop up situated in a separate space in the Sun and 13 Cantons, personally I found it very newly and nicely decorated and cosy and it did not bother me that it shares premises with the pub. Service was great too, and the bill was very good value for money. We will be back.

. . Me gustó el pan aunque. . .

Just returned from the dinner for 5 people (4 Ukrainians and 1 American) and I had to share this experience because of controversial comments here: - Place: yes, at the moment of this review resturant shared a place with a quite busy pub, you need to know that.. 4 stars because of that. - Food: I was disappointed to hear that we will be served not a traditional food (because I didn't bother to read what they stated on their website!) but a mix of UKR/UK interpretation.. but eventually even our Ukrainian gang couldn't agree on what was tasty and what was not - it is individual thing. We have tried almost everything and it is 5 stars - Stuff: I'm not sure if it is even legal to be that nice and lovely as they were. 10 out of 5. Fast, friendly, hospitable and patient. The owner (stupid me didn't even ask her name..) treated us as if we were guests at her home.. almost a quote of how my friend expressed her impression about the service - Price: I really don't understand how someone can say that it is overpriced.. are those people dinning in this area? I was not surprised by the bill and I would leave 5 for the value. Conclusion: very nice place to visit which I would strongly recommend - interesting decisions on how they tried to experiment with Ukrainian trad food to make it more suitable for British people.. I didn't like only 1 dish out of almost everything (will tell in P.S.). The passion of the owner for what she and her husband (Maks.. my nameling) are doing is literally visible in this place since it is expressed through one of the most loveliest service I've ever experienced so far. I wish them to find a nice long term place and don't give up on what they are doing. PS. Blood sausage vareniki tasted like medicine to me (my friend ate them all.. so it is just my taste). I would suggest to think about fried or oven baked blood sausage because boiling the blood (unlike frying) doesn't give a proper fermentation for this dish.. blood itself becomes tasteless and apple doesn't do much to cover that.. just an Imho PPS. I genuinely can't understand what is wrong with 1 star reviewers here..

We have tried all starters (not so expensive) and didn’t have much more space for the mains, the food was absolutely superb! I never write the reviews, but this was such a good surprise, can’t wait to come back!!

Made the mistake of going into a cafe where there were no other customers. I think I now know why. Visited the premises in the Square. Latte and croissant, paid immediately by card, lukewarm coffee, stale croissant then on leaving was accused of not paying. They made a check of their records and voila, it seems I had. Quite embarrassing and won’t be back.

Previously known as Cellar Gascon. Not sure why they changed its name but c'est la vie. I love this place - been coming for over 20 years. Amazing wine menu - some real treats for the cognoscenti, at very reasonably pricing. Staff are very friendly too.

We came in for a couple of coffees and a pastel de nata. The quality of the coffee is excellent and the pastel de nata was delicious. Prices here are much lower than most high quality cafes.
