Pamir Restaurant in Coventry

We tried the Kabuli Pilau, the lamb chops and the chapal kebab. Everything was very well cooked and tasted great. This is the 3rd time eating here and I have always enjoyed it. We came in on a Saturday evening and it was very busy, 15 min wait for a table was well worth. Definitely one to try out if you enjoy Afghani cuisine.

Hi, The burgers 🍔 for my kids were out of this world. But for me and my husband. The stuff they forgot to order our food and we were waiting for 1 and 30 hours and we had to leave the place. Because our food were never on the grill after asking them. It was a shame because they really do have do have good testing food. For that reason, I gave 3 stars

Horrible food and such a rude service from the restaurant. Went there and ordered 2 chicken curry , 3 chicken biryani, and chapli kebab took 1 hour and half and wasn’t even cooked well. Biryani was from the previous night and smelled bad had to throw it out and no one touched the curry. Ended up ordering pizza later on as the food was completely disgusting 😑

Excellent cooking and great service

The food is tasty and the price is reasonable. The service is not as good. Be careful if you go on a busy day. They ask my family to leave as they have other customer waiting to use the table. We were 8 and and group of about 13 people coming along. I thinks that’s a lack of respect and consideration. There were more tables empty, but they ask us to leave as we had finish our dinner. It was on Mother’s Day. We ask to talk with the manager and he did not showed up.

This is easily one of my favourite desi restaurants in the country. Quality of food is always 10/10. Staff is friendly. Parking available behind the restaurant. Must-visit if you like Pakistani food. Oh, they only take cash. No cards. But there's an ATM machine next door.

Absolute worst service ever. If you don't believe me, go and try it. Wait 1 hour for your food, then 1 hour for the plates, then just a partial order will arrive. The remaining order would arrive on your way out following starvation and exhaustion from begging the waiters for the remaining food. Totally disorganised!

Food is delicious but they only accept cash. Waiter this time around was attentive. Limited parking available at back of the restuarant.

Food is OK. The pilau with the mixed grill was so flavoursome. The chicken biryani was nice, too. The mixed grill was dry and the shish kebab was quite salty. Service in this place is non-existent. I've been a few times before, and it seems to get worse each time. It took 20mims for the "waiter" to bring over the menu. We ordered right away, so to not waste anymore time. Once the food was bought out (which came out quickly-great!), we couldn't get his attention again. We need more drinks but couldn't get any until the end of the meal. He didn't once ask if we needed anything, didn't clear the empty dishes. They stayed on the table until we left.

Pathetic customer service i have ever had…. So unprofessional and literally the most rude staff… I dont know if they do this behaviour with just asians or with the white people as well… They are the most racist and just because their food is a bit good than others they forgot about what real customer service is… Whoever the owner of this place is will loose customers day by day by this behaviour Just want to remind that you guys are not in afghanistan you are in the uk so learn to give respect to your customers Thank you .

Pathetic customer service don't accept card payments at all make you go back and look for the card machine just to have their food and incase you forget your card you are not welcomed….. Pathetic people unprofessional and got zero sense of talking to customer 😡😡💩

Pamir it's my favourite restaurant forever but been this time very unhappy cose we odder food and we still ll odder but stuff member saying o this is enough for you don't give me more odder his owner was not there and much stuff aswell just my family in there afternoon 2=30 pm.if we ask for the chutney he I give you and he saying you eating or drinking chutney. I don't wanna go again .it's really really bad .we spent to much money. Even my guest came we take pamir restaurant they only come to go Pamir from london or Manchester. Now we no go.....

The food that is served at this restaurant is absolute perfection. However the service is quite slow, so be prepared for that.

Afghani Karahi is too much delicious. Good atmosphere, staff is also good. We all the time come here for dine in..... I love this Pamir Karahi's Taste....

The food is great. For me the best dishes are the lamb biriyani, spring lamb chops, chicken wings and the lamb curry. The side has booth like seating if you require some form of privacy

Purchased a kabuli pilau. Massive portion. Very nice 🙂. Great food, great people who work there. The best Afghan place in Coventry and the west midlands MashaAllah Tabarakallah.

not worth it. cash only dodgers. Rice was lumpy and cold from fridge. not even remotely afghan food. place was dirty as hell and staff were rude with an attitude. over expensive stale food. if you want to pay for gantroenteritis and diarrhea then visit it.

Had the Chaplin Kebab and the 1kg Chef Special chicken karahi. The Chapli kebab was decent. I was very disappointed with the Chicken karahi, there was too less masala and a lot of black pepper seeds which needed picking out at almost every bite. Disappointed with the food unfortunately. I did not manage to get a photo of the karahi. Price is fair, especially when ordering and sharing as a group and atmosphere was good. Accepts cash only but there is a cash machine nearby

Had a great meal at Pamir Restaurant. The ambiance was cozy, service attentive, and the food, especially the Lamb chops, was delicious. Will definitely be back for more.

Absolutely fantastic food and the pricing is very decent for the amount of food you get. Family friendly place, would highly recommend. I definitely will be visiting again one day.

Waited 45mins, after ordering, finally the food arrived and was not what we ordered, then was told they have ran out of ingredients!!!!! Waiters need serious training and the management. They still wanted me to pay (in cash), for something we never ordered or ate. So I looked the guy in the eye 👁️ and said “watch me” and walked out. Never ever will go again or recommend not even to the enemy.

I have just edited the review i made 4 years back about this place. Very sadly the food and service is really bad now. I had lunch with my family a few days back and the food made all of us sick. Never going back there!

Asalam-Alaikum Abdullah! I have known you from Zeenat and before. Two main issues please for you to look into urgently; 1- The staff at your restaurant are extremely rude, specially when we dine in. Their focus is elsewhere and if you don't speak afghani/pushto your order is basically ruined or served late. 2- After eating last three times, whole family got tummy bug and nausea. It can happens once, no issues however if it happens three times there's a severe hygiene issue at your restaurant. Taste is still amazing but sadly due to hygiene issues we will stop eating now.

Disappointed again. I didn't want to go because I was Disappointed last time but my friends wanted to try first time I am sure they will never go back to this restaurant. In start food was very good but now I will think 100 times to go to this restaurant.

Great food, very good portion sizes, great value.

Amazing food. Went on a weekend was super busy and obviously, the staff were struggling. However the food was not compromised. Isn't a high end posh place, so just wore casual attire. Decor again not fancy but for the food we come back time and time again. Catered to all ages and taste. Had my inlaws and toddlers, food suitable for all tastes. The lamb chursa karachi is beautiful- a must have.

Best food in Coventry, great staff and service

Recently went to pamir . Food was good but service was pathetic they seem not interested even though we were only customers at that time. It took ages to bring food and gave us wrong stuff eventually.

What a joke of place ,they promise one thing in the menu and give you another and the excuse is we run out of rice ,I will not recommend that place to my enemies forget about my friends.

We have been coming to the restaurant and the food changed dramatically, everything they served was raw or over cooked will not recommend to anyone.

First and last time ordering here! Spent £70 on a takeaway here and received the worst food and service. Curry that came with the rice was from the fridge and they didn’t even heat it. It was stone cold. The 1/2kg karahi which is £20 was mainly bones and looked pathetic. The Afghani pillao was oily and was served with just a bone with one tiny bit of meat. The staff were extremely rude. Ordered us to pay in cash only and complained we took too long to find a cash point. Awful experience felt robbed!

Ordered by phone and were told it should be ready within 30 mins. Wanted Uzbek pilou and sea bass but the man on the phone confirmed they didn't have it so got kabuli instead. As we arrived it was being played fresh from the pot. Food was absolutely delicious and the curry that accompanied the kabuli was fantastic. Couldn't rate it any higher. Food enjoyed by all. Very very pleased and highly recommend.

Mixed grill was chewy tasting average. Didn't have any lamb chops in Mixed grill . There's just lack of choice in Coventry that's why people come to Pamir.

I visit quite often from Birmingham there lamb chops, Biryani and Lamb ribs are amazing. Starters and rice are 10/10 amazing quality. However, the restaurant is outdated could do with a upgrade! Cheap and lovely food

Dear Sikandar k brother I been to Pamir Restaurant many times and they do the best food in west midland. Their kitchen and cooking area is absolutely incredible and open to all customers, anything you order it’s completely cooking in front you. They are always very busy, you might be little bit disappointed but it doesn’t really effect the taste of the food. Good luck guys I know you own khayber Restaurant 😂😂😂😂

Went with my hubby to try their platter last night. tbh it was one of my worst experience of dinning outside. A platter was served with no rice or naan and no chatni or raaita. I wonder how do they claim to sell afghani taste? They better visit Peshawar/Kabul and get to know pathaan/afghani food first. On top of that service was pathetic, environment is like sitting in a fish market. Everybody was in a rush. Not going again this life. Would not recommend at all. Utter taste spoilers. All zero stars.

Food used to be tasty (not anymore). Service as usuall 3rd class. Waiters are pathetic, tables dirty, and place is mostly crowded. Dont waste money and time here. Spend a few more pounds on petrol and try Khyber in B'ham. Trust me I am from Peshawar and I know what actuall afghani/pathaan taste is. Its not what you would get here in Pamir.

Great food, chicken kofta and rice was very good value for money, decent portion and served fresh off the grill. Recently tried the chapal kebabs and the chicken biriyani. OMG the flavours on the biryani were excellent, was not expecting that, these Afghans outshone most Indian restaurants and the kebabs were delicious. Topped of by a nice fresh salad with a balsamic and sumac dressing, 10/10

Pamir is one of the best family restaurant in Coventry, we really enjoyed the authentic taste of mixed grill, Naan and lamb Madras gravy was simply superb, all meat tasted really fresh and very very tenderly roasted, food was served with full smile on face which made us feel very welcoming…. PAMIR has become our favourite spot for family dining… will be coming again!! Thank you

Nice people, nice place. Halal atmosphere. Always very supportive of meetings and gatherings. We arranged lunch with a group of hijabi/Niqabi sisters, and all the arrangements were very good 👍. Good wudu arrangements and clean toilets with lota. Thank you for the complimentary tea Afghan kava. Food is very good however the service is very very bad , they should hire a professional manager, some time u sitting at the table and nobody is coming to take ur ordering have to chase waiter for basic things like water salad etc , they will give u starter and u may have to wait 30/40 minutes for ur main ,

Me, my family and wider extended family always enjoy eating at Pamirs. The service, food and the atmosphere always amazing nice and friendly. I would always recommend everyone to try Pamirs. Iv had parties of up to 30-60 people and each and one of those were very happy with the quality and the taste of the food. We always end up taking food home as the portions are always generous. Parking has also never been an issue for us too. I and my staff at Maya & Co solicitors as often as every week go for quick lunch too. Never disappointed.

Pamir restaurant was recommended to us by good friends. However, the food was absolutely disgusting! We ordered the special platter and the rice from it tasted a bit strange and some of the meats were undercooked or overcooked. The portions were actually very generous, so when we took some home,the next day the rice had gone bad and had a horrible stench! Made us feel sick! Management needs to be better, and we did tell them aswell but I don't think they take anything very seriously which is atrocious! Never coming here again!!!

Bought Mutton Biriyani takeaway today. It was spoilt- smelling awful as soon as I opened the box within 3 hours. I called back to inform. Abdullah said owner not there & asked to call back.

Poor service.staff are very careless the food is not good enough their staff watching ladies very often and badly please check that when you get there.

Pamir isnt the place to go, customer service is disgusting, the food was raw, found hair in the lamb curry and they didnt even have standard hygiene to clean the tables. We ordered a jalfrezi to then get a standard curry and when we questioned it the waiter said oh we dont have that on the menu, well wouldve been nice to know when we were ordering the food....and chappatis came AFTER we finished the curry. Honestly if i couldnt give it a 0.2 for reviews i wouldn't even give it that. Avoid this place at all costs, the staff are just down right rude too.

The restuarant's was exellent and tbe sevice as well , I do recomend to have a look.
