Miller and Carter in Coventry

I was excited to try the new menu, my wife had the fillet which was very good…I had the sirloin. I expected the sirloin to be tougher but after tasting I found it to be extremely tough and over cooked….I explained this to the server who just brushed over it and said sorry…. For the price I expect a better quality and was left dissatisfied…overall not a great meal for a wedding anniversary:(

Lovely visit to M&C over the bank holiday and food was amazing! Went for the Sirloin and Sticky toffee pudding. Rajan our server was super friendly, polite and efficient - brilliant service and will definitely be visiting again!

Visited today for the Sunday Sharing Board and what an excellent choice this way, beautifully cooked by the kitchen team! Thank you. We visited early for a drink in the garden first and was served by the lovely Maria and friendly Charlie, both very welcoming. A little while later we went to the front desk to attend our booking and as we walked in from the garden, Charlie held the door open for us. Talk about excellent service! We were promptly greeted and seated by Peter & Kirsty who both presented a friendly atmosphere. Peter showed us to our table. Lauren Spence was our hostess for our experience and was second to none, recommending the gorgeous Millionaire Chips, what a great upsell this was! Every team member who swung by said hi to us, now this is what makes an experience what it is! Overall an unforgettable experience and we can’t wait to come back again!

Great evening with 8 friends. All meals were delicious and served promptly. Our waitress was Elysia who was extremely helpful polite and lovely. Very happy with our service.

1-Star Review We visited the Coventry branch recently to celebrate my 40th birthday, and the experience was completely ruined by the unprofessional and rude behaviour of the general manager, Dovile. We had a table booked for 8:30pm and arrived slightly early at 8:15pm. We were told the table wasn’t ready and to come back at 8:30pm, which was fine. However, when I checked again at 8:30pm, we were given no update, no apology—just told to wait. By 8:45pm, we were still sitting in the bar with absolutely no communication from the staff, despite having an 11 with us who were getting increasingly hungry. At 9:10pm, my wife asked why we were still waiting, and the response was shocking. Dovile dismissively told us they had taken too many bookings that night. When my wife pointed out that perhaps they should have accepted fewer reservations, Dovile sarcastically replied, “Thanks for the advice,” and walked off. The sheer arrogance and lack of basic customer service were unacceptable, and we weren’t the only ones being spoken to like this. Frustrated, we decided to leave without eating. I have been a regular customer, frequently using the bar for drinks and client meetings, and I’ve always found the other staff to be excellent. However, this is not the first time I’ve experienced rudeness from this particular manager, and I won’t be returning if this is how customers are treated. I understand that restaurants get busy, but there was zero effort to reassure or accommodate us, no apology, and a complete lack of professionalism. A manager should lead by example, and if she can’t handle a bit of pressure, she is in the wrong industry. What should have been a special night was completely ruined. Avoid this place unless you want terrible service and a dismissive attitude from management. After contacting the complaints team we were offered a £50 voucher which we used at the Stratford Upon Avon restaurant which was completely the opposite end of the scale in terms of service. They were excellent. I wasn’t looking for a free voucher though, I wanted an apology from Dovile to my wife for being so rude and some reassurance that they would deal with her unprofessional behaviour. I have emailed twice about this and both emails have been completely ignored so it would seem it’s not just Dovile that lacks basic customer service skills.

Well what can I say about here it was our first visit. It comes with a reputation of not only being a little pricey. But on the other hand the food is outstanding. Well both these points are correct. The restaurant itself is outstanding and has a really nice ambience. The service is fantastic. Now the food oh my god is it good. I had a 16oz Ribeye steak and I will say it's the best I have ever had. Cooked to perfection . Sides awesome. The cost is a little expensive but for the quality of food and the service well worth it . Would seriously be going again
