German Doner Kebab in Coventry

I visited GDK coventry along with my friends. The OG kebeb was delicious and we loved the panini as well. The staff was helpful and polite. Loved the place

Wherever I go in England, I prefer to eat at German dinner kebabs except this one in Coventry. More Salad than meat. Food was cold , The staff seemed nice to me. But I didn't enjoy the food. 😔

We recently ordered food from this outlet, and the experience was disappointing. The food was poorly prepared—semi-cooked and with stale bread. To make matters worse, the dips we ordered were missing from the bag. This has never been an issue with other outlets, so we’re not sure why this one struggles to provide decent customer service

Food is great loved the kebab the amount of sauces you get as well is really great value especially the og box only downside is if you add anything extra to the kebabs they don't add any extra ingredients appart from extra chicken or kebab meat even though you payed for extras like cheesy fries or extra jalapeños or extra veg

Ordered a kebab mixed wrap. More Salad than meat after paying for a large meat upgrade. Food was cold , was busy but no excuse for service. curry fries just loaded with Salt. Very poor for the cost. 1st meal here and will be the last. I lived in Germany and can say Kebebs much better out there.

I just been in German donner kebab in Coventry. 14 30pm at 08.03 2025 The girl you Asian girl who served on the till, she was so rude and bad attitude.😒 I didn't get my garlic sauce i paid for. Kebab was full on salad under kebab and only little bit meat in on top . I paid £8.18 only main no no drink or snack. To experience and bad in quality. Never again on that place 😒 Im not surprised that place looks empty. No offence honestly I think management team should check on stuff.

ain’t been here in a 2 years and I’m really disappointed I went in there and the customer service was appalling they spend most their time helping delivery drivers. I was standing for 10 minutes before someone asked me what my order was to which I replied I haven’t even ordered yet as I’ve been standing around waiting for a person to take my order. After this I placed my order and received it relatively quick. Food was very dry at the top and very oily towards the bottom. The flaming chips are not even spicy they are more sweet if anything. The worst part of this is I felt side affects kicking in after a hour to which I had to unleash in the toilet. It’s now been a day and my stomach is messed up and I’m constantly going toilet. I had ordered a mix doner & chips.

Got the delivery order completely wrong, tasted like crap and was totally cold. Don't waste your time with the hash browns. They are about 3 cm cubed in size, tiny and tastless. The veg burger was tiny and horrible. The meat wrap was horrendous compared to all the other GDK we have been to. It made my wife throw up. Shame this one. Let's down the whole chain because GDK is actually pretty good. For my incredibly tiny meal, it cost over £12! Wouldn't have even fed my 7 year old.

Arrived at 11pm on a Friday - tried to order but it was obvious they wanted to close. Went elsewhere. Plenty of other options nearby.

Decent food however not the cheapest option. Fast service however if visiting solo can be difficult to find a table and hope it doesn’t get taken if it’s busy whilst at the kiosk

Perfect service and chill atmosphere, I came here with my friends for lunch and it was very comfortable and inviting. Food is delicious and presented beautifully with dips and sides. Would definitely come here again.

Placed an order on the machine inside pressed the edit screen because my son just likes chicken and cheese there all done 23 pounds for both meals food came my food was ok his was full of peppers and pickles and a few pieces of beef went back to tell the staff they said I’d have to pay again and throw that in the bin the staff member was really arrogant and self centred I went mental in there and said in no way in hell am I paying for another when it your mistake. Twenty minutes later after the arguments stop she replaced it very poor would not recommend this one definitely won’t be visiting again if I could mark out of ten it would be a poor 3

Waste of money. My partner and I went to GDK this week and had a horrible experience. Staff was not helpful at all and despite mentioning that we had noticed our food had been sat there for a while, they showed no care, denied what we had clearly observed and didn't offer an apology or to give us a fresh portion. No shock that the food was indeed cold as soon as we got to the car. There was no cutlery provided for this TA order, no sauces in our order (despite paying and ordering these) and the food wasn't even that tasty. This is my second visit in 4 years and both times, 2 of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had.

Dirty, and the rice bowl meal was misleadingly advertised. The meal doesn't come with fries.

Enjoyed a fantastic dining experience. Arshi was super courteous, and the rest of the team was just as friendly. Definitely coming back!

Had beef burger today for lunch, was served by Arshi. Cozy and hygienic atmosphere. I would recommend it for sure!

It was really good and really calm the only problem was that when you ordered you had to pick a table number and a lot of times I pick a table number and somebody picks it too or I pick a table number and somebody picks a different table number but then the ignore their table number and sit on another person's table

I am deeply disappointed with this meal. It was far from worth the inflated price that was charged. When the food arrived, I was dismayed to find that it was colder than the drink, which was oddly lukewarm. Both dishes were lackluster and left a terrible taste in my mouth. Honestly, this has to be one of the worst kebabs I’ve ever had—the flavors were bland and unappealing. The sides were equally disappointing, arriving cold and poorly packaged as if they were an afterthought. This experience makes it clear that they do not prioritize or value their paying customers.

It's not a kebab shop It's a waiting room for people who want the bus..

Ordered from just eat, £50 for a boss meal, a gym box and a kids meal, Kids meal no drink or sauces delivered, gym box was a tiny portion, and the food was actually stone cold to the touch. Phoned store and spoke to ruch? Apologised and offered 2 free pick up meals in next three months and to ask for her. Do not order from just eat, foods good but expensive, and if it's stone cold it's practically inedible.

Disappointing Experience – False Advertising & Poor Service I had high expectations when ordering from German Doner Kebab (Coventry), but unfortunately, the experience was nothing short of disappointing. For nearly £30, I ordered a wrap with cheesy fries and extras, only to receive everything with sauces on the side—completely different from the images they advertise. If you’re going to showcase cheesy fries and cheesy wraps, at least serve them as advertised instead of misleading customers. To make matters worse, despite claiming to be open until 3 AM, they refused access to the toilets. If a business operates late into the night, the least they can do is provide basic facilities for paying customers. The staff showed no professionalism or care, and the service felt rushed and dismissive. There was zero effort to ensure a good customer experience, which is unacceptable for a brand that markets itself as a premium kebab chain. This was my first and last visit—I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Not even worth 1 star. Hopefully, management takes this seriously and addresses the blatant false advertising and poor customer service.

I definitely recommend" That is what i wrote two years ago now, however in that time the restaurant, and the chain itself i believe having been to other locations, has unfortunately declined in quality greatly. To start, I'm not sure when exactly, but a while ago they underwent sort of a big change in operations. There was a noticeable rise in price for almost every item on the menu along with an also noticeable decrease in the size of portions. What would used to be considered already underfilled medium size doner box is now considered their large box, a barely half-full box with a few bits of doner meat and mostly just cheap chips. The service is abysmal, they have two self-service machines, but typically at least one is not working, and in the case that I would need to order at the till, it seems that what few staff are not always on break seem to generally ignore my presence entirely and have a gossip with the people in the kitchen area just behind the tills. The overall atmosphere has also changed entirely. Multiple tables will be left uncleaned with the previous customers' leftovers and/or trash for a dozen minutes or more on the regular, and more food scraps and bits of wrapping from kebabs or burgers litter the floor under those tables and just around the general area. Overall, its disappointing to see the decline of the restaurant, as it used to be a decent place to get a nice kebab or burger at a reasonable price and to sit and enjoy the meal in a clean area, but it seems that they have really let the place go, and this applies to their other locations i have visited too.

Original german donner looks really small now. Its more snack rather then main meal

The food was soooo delicious...the donner was very fresh and tasty. I went there with my friends and all of us had a greattt experience. The staff was very welcoming. Top-notch service and great hygiene....the whole atmosphere was wonderful. I will totally visit again...highly recommended !!!

I went to German doner kebab today and there was a girl who told me there was an offer for the German doner kebab so I decided to order 4 of them. And when I took them home I noticed that all 4 of them that were given to me was a terrible portion.

Great service, wonderful experience. Perfect place for dinner. I loved the doner kebab, highly recommended.

Very bad experience. Store closes 11pm but dining and toilets are closed by 10:30 and staff inform us only take way😔& today 8.12.2024 time 00:45 second time I had a bad experience, your are open until 3…then u don’t have a full menu items, every time when I place a order the staff will inform no chicken only beef..can you please hire proper shift managers to run the store in a proper way and with full menu Itda’s until close. thank you

It might seem a bit pricey but it's definitely worth the money.

I'm posting this at the time of the incident. Sad and bad experience today. All table were dirty in some form. We asked the lady at the till for table 7 to be cleaned. Sauce marks were dripped on the table, and paper wrappings were on the booth. So what does the lady do.....she pushes the paper on the floor rather and picking it up and collecting the rubbish. Not only was she lazy, but her attitude stank as if to say "no my problem, someone else can do it". Really sad. This place has taken a bad turn since my last visit, which has now put me off for the future.

It is more expensive than other fast food places, but the quality of food is better and the amount of food you get is more than adequate.

Visited few days ago with kids and a friend of mine, unfortunately they turn me down we ordered the mix diner box with fries and I must say we didn’t have meat but just skin left over we where so disappointed as we had takeaway and went so was too far to take it back , the chips where cooked in overcooked oil and this place is not like it use to be service and food has gone down!!!!!

Terrible place. Food is cold, expensive and of poor quality. If you need the toilet, they will not give you the ‘code after 11 despite being a paying customer. McDonald’s next door is open to the same times and allows one to use the toilet regardless. Avoid if at all possible.

Not so great, typical Shawarma style and the French fries was not as good as it should be .. location near the bus stop, so some customers in hurry and lot of takeaways, not pleasant atmosphere.. On the go, grab if you are hungry and up for quick meal
