My son and I love this place! Amazingly lovely staff and service, delicious food for grown ups and children, FAB coffee and honestly perfect cakes. We’ve been coming for a couple of years and have never had a bad experience. It’s recently been refreshed and had a move round with furniture, and is still as lovely as ever.

I'm a pretty frequent visitor to this place and wanted to re-review it following a bit of a menu-revamp, and as my situation has changed...As the title suggests, this place is my sanctuary and is a friendly haven on those days when parenthood is a little, erm, challenging (or more challenging than usual!). It's clean, looks loved and well looked after, and has the most wonderful non-judgmental atmosphere. In short, if you have children under about 7, put this place on your list of regular haunts - your kids will love it, and you'll be able to grab a minute's peace for your much needed coffee! On entry, the Cafe now has a quieter, friendly coffee-lounge area, which I love; it's perfect for me when I come with my 6-month old baby as it's a lovely environment to sit and chill in (when he naps!), and has feeding cushions for when I need to feed my hungry little man. It's also great if you want a proper catch up too - or even have older children who you trust to play without constant watching. Heading through the doorway to the second room and servery, I was greeted by a light, bright, airy room filled with exciting role-play toys (cafe, house, etc) and small soft-play area for younger children. Everything is beautifully clean and looks very well cared for - amazing considering how much use all the toys were getting whilst we were there. This room is clearly great for the pre-schoolers, and we tend to sit in here when I come with my 4-year old after school. She's really excited as there now some boxes of toys like duplo etc, which you can ask for, to keep slightly older ones entertained. The whole Cafe now has a light, bright, airy feel, and is sparkly clean. I have always found the staff team lovely, polite and so accommodating - and this hasn't changed. Nothing is too much trouble for them - and coming over to ask if I want another drink or snack whilst I'm occupied feeding a baby is a really nice, welcome touch. The menu has had a revamp, with the addition of a delicious cooked breakfast - 4 bits of bacon, egg, tomatoes and beans - all for a reasonable £4.95. This, and their bacon sandwiches are just the thing after a fraught morning school run. The new snack plates for kids (breadsticks, cucumbers etc) are great, and fantastic when Madam has a picky few moments and won't eat sandwiches. The range of items for the snack boxes has increased too - and you can now get pink or red Ella's Kitchen pouches for the really little ones (a lifesaver this morning - forgetful mummy!). I'm looking forward to trying one of the ploughmans, and am pleased to see quiche is still on the menu too. The cakes are delicious, and I love that the whole cafe is nut-free; along with a range of different non-dairy milks and the fact that there's options for vegetarian, vegan and gluten free guests is great. I love this place, and feel really comfortable bringing my children here, meeting friends and family and just relaxing - it really is my first choice of places to go in Havant. Thank you!

This cafe does have some good facilities for kids and a good outdoor area. However, the floors are visibly dirty both the carpet area and the blue hard flooring. They also have fabric chairs which are dirty and the whole place seems a little unloved. When I first visited when it opened it was much much cleaner and felt fresh. Perhaps the owners haven’t realised how tired it now looks. One thing I really look for in a cafe is clean surroundings. This cafe needs a deep clean and bleach to return it to its fresh and vibrant state once again.

Visited today with my 2 year old after reading and hearing lots of great things.First impressions; tatty appearance overall. Only one other customer when we arrived but no one at the till. Bought a drink and headed outside to some toys that looked like no one looked after them but daughter was happy playing so that made me happy. Ordered some food including a child's ham sandwich with side salad and crisps...£3...when it came (with no side salad and crisps) the bread was mouldy. We did complain and they brought a new sandwich (no side salad or crisps) said sorry and the bread was in date but clearly the heat was getting to everyone!!! I accepted the new sandwich (no side salad or crisps) . My mother's scone arrived and my panini, which was nice, arrived after another 10 mins. Overall my daughter had an ok time playing. BUT mouldy bread and a half hearted apology that it was the heats fault was disgusting. I would have complained more but I just couldn't face it. £3 for one slice of (initially mouldy) bread, a bit of ham, with no side salad and crisps. Yes, I could have complained about that as well but my whole visit would have been spent complaining. The worse thing is they weren't even busy. One other small group as we left (2 adults, 2 toddlers, 2 babies).I do not recommend and will not be back especially when there are 2 far more superior and more professional play cafes in the area.

I have been here a couple of times now and it has been excellent every time. It's great to keep the kiddies happy while you have a bite to eat and a catch up. I can't recommend the jacket potatoes more highly - lovely crispy skins! This is one of my favourite places

Because my daughter and her 2 friends take their toddlers here weekly she chose it for the venue for my grandsons 1st birthday party. The children had lots of toys to play with including a large ball pit and also a sensory room while Mums and Dads could buy hot and cold drink plus cakes , although food was included as my daughter did her own catering and supplied cold drinks . It was a very safe place for little ones .and we all had a great time . It was a lovely summers day and we sat in the garden .

Comfy seats, a fantastic range of toys and books, excellent toilet facilities and just a really homely feel. Both girls loved it and my husband and I had a very relaxing coffee. We have booked a party here for my eldests 4th birthday and we can’t wait. Thumbs up all round!

What a pleasant change it is to take screaming children into a cafe and not be glared at! At Pallant House there's no judgmental glares from 'well meaning' interfering individuals, if you don't have a child you most likely will never find yourself in this place. With comfy sofas, changing tables, soft play, lovely outdoor play area, lots of role play toys and hot drinks and food what more could you want? Pallant House also do a loyalty card, so for every 10 stamps, you get a freebie - nice x

You can actually relax as you don't have to worry about toddlers making a mess as its so set up for them having a good time. Wonderful.

I came here with my very boisterous 22 month old for a second breakfast. So so impressed. The facilities are excellent, and the ownera have thought about everything someone with small children might need. There are even bouncy chairs and feeding pillows for parents with babies. There's a small soft play area and an indoor and outdoor Wendy house. I won't make an exhaustive list but go and see and have a yummy cherry scone!

I visit the Pallant regularly as a business and as a mum and I can't fault it! The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The place has a wonderful array of FREE play for kiddies which is amazing when you want a quiet 5 minutes as a parent!!! They even have an outdoor space to play. My little boy (2years) loves it here. The menu has a good range of food, great kids menu and very reasonably priced. Highly recommend!

We come here on a regular basis and it is just fantastic. It's the only place I can come and eat or meet with friends and have some actual conversation as Munchkin is kept occupied by the wonderful toys! It's an absolute god-send as there's very few places where kids can start to learn to play independently with other children they've just met, and it's wonderful to see them doing just that in the cafe! I love the fact that most of the toys are traditional - dolls houses, trains, a little cafe, books and a lovely soft-play. As its warmer, the garden is also open with a little house, water table and pirate ship too!

I visited with friends, their three year old son and my four month old daughter. This place is the most family friendly place I have ever visited. Every detail has been thought out, and it feels really welcoming. For example, they have breastfeeding support pillows which can be borrowed, spare nappies and wipes in the baby change, an extensive and appropriate children's menu, clean and well kept toys, I could go on and on. The people working there were cheerful and friendly. In spite of it being a very busy lunchtime, our food arrived quickly and was good quality and well prepared. Also, the coffee was delicious. Really, this place is great.

Went with a friend to see 'No Ordinary Love'- a film I wanted to see at the cinema but didn't manage to go. Ticket booking online very easy to do and pick up tickets from the box office. Nice little cafe inside but we didn't partake this time. Great film, helpful staff, will be back for another event soon.
