Paddy’s Pizzeria in County Durham

Spend 12 quid on the chicken Kiev PIZZA after work just to get a cheap ah garlic bread with some cold chicken cubes and a side of disappointment to wash it down what a rip off would be about 5 quid elsewhere it's not even a pizza by definition, my disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined also i recommend cooking your so called pizzas in a oven and not using your pet geckos heat lamp

I ordered 2 pizzas and some mozzarella sticks. Not only did it take over an hour to get to me. Which when i called 45 mins after i ordered, the pizzas turned up cold and tasting like cardboard. Do not recommend at all. They need a review of there pizza business.

Orribile pizza, expensive price, owner rude and very lazy, dirty everything and everywhere.

This place is beyond 5 stars. The food is always delicious and the service is second to none. Would never eat anywhere else.

Food is super good service is quick or they're doing they best when it's busy and it's getting very busy at night coz it's sooo good

Worked here 2 years while I was a student so that I could pay my rent and if I could give 0 stars I would! They treat their staff like garbage, pay them late and with no contract, I was promised multiple times I would have been given one and they never did (I was a low income student and it would have helped me with my loans applications!). Hygiene is non-existent and the food is hideous, they have rats in the basement where they make the dough and multiple times we served cross contaminated food to vegans and people with allergies - this place literally survives solely because its clientele is made of drunk university students that cannot distinguish a pizza from chewed cardboard (it's located near a popular club). They have other stores around town, I wouldn't go near any run by them ✌️

The pizza here really messed up my gut- I woke up so bloated and with a face so puffy I couldn’t unlock my iPhone. 24 hrs later and I still look like you’d offer me a seat on the bus. Never. Again. On a positive note, the staff were friendly. :)

That was the best pizza I’ve ever had 🫶🏼 Loved it.

Just called in on way to work and ordered a Double Cheeseburger and Chips. All cooked in front of me and nice and Fresh and Hot. Beautiful!. Will definitely use again.

Decent vegetarian pizza - very dry and frankly in some parts a little overcooked. Chips were a different story - insanely greasy (soaked through the packaging) with either some niche French cheese or a very gone off mozzarella. Comprehensive review coming soon!

Saw the bad reviews and was going to avoid but due to heavy rain and proximity to hotel though we would just give it a go. Brilliant, lovely staff and fabulous pizza. Would definitely recommend.

Got a burger and fried chicken both over cooked and dry, poor communication and when we asked for extra salt we just got stared at as if asking for his wallet 😅

Awful.. Worse than 1* wish I'd read the reviews first :( not much choice overpriced and tasteless. We waited ages, she insisted we added a tip to the bill for plastic tasting chicken nuggets NO cutlery or bag, asked for salad that was an extra £1 and were given @ dozen slices of jalapeno peppers! avoid avoid avoid

Acceptable grub after for he aftermath of a night out but queues are enormous and prices high. It's popularity is only really a consequence of its location as the only pizza-kebab shop between the city's nightclubs and first year student accommodation.

To be honest deserves 0 stars. Ordered burger with salad for £5.99 looked terrible and didn’t tasted any better. SHOCKING ! definitely not recommended

Rigjt so, its 4am and these mad lads just brought me pizza and fries that curled!!! -1 star not enough cheesssze - so good though

Paddy’s Pizzeria is the best takeaway in Durham! Sayed and the boys at Paddy’s are the best in the County Durham area! The food is always fresh, and there’s no expense spared with ingredients! If you want a pizza in Durham this is the place to go! It’s brilliant value for money, and the food is truly the best of all late night spots in Durham! This is not a place to Miss, it’s a Durham staple!

Had the pizza delivered and it came very fast. However, the pizza was absolutely atrocious. The margarita pizza and the all meat pizza had no sauce at all. The pizza tasted drier than the Sahara desert and the chips were unsalted and cold. The mozzarella dippers we ordered were extremely greasy and came with no dip or sauce just like the pizza didn’t have any either. The garlic bread was also very dry and stank like fish. Now feel sick and would rather have had a packet of Tesco value ready salted crisps with a packet of gum. I definitely would NOT recommend and is the worst takeaway in Durham by far.

Waited two and a half hours for an order, after they told me 4 times over that it would be here in 5 minutes. I will never order from them again ive been robbed

We placed an order for over £150 (in advance) for a function very close to this takeaway. The order never arrived and we had 30+ hungry guests who had contributed to buy pizza. No call from Paddys and they ignored our calls. When our venue manager got wind of this he went into the shop and spoke to the staff. The order later arrived. 2 hours after it was meant to so a number of guests had left or had ordered themselves something from elsewhere. Appalling business sense. Shame on you for not letting us know.

Walked out tonight, not the first time most likely won't be the last. Young lad behind the counter was more interested in chatting to girls than actually serving customers. Wanted to order 5 large pizzas ended up ordering from Pizza King, actually got served. Waste of time and money

Usually really good but just had a terrible pizza, really undercooked and too doughy to eat.

Absolutely appalling, Never again. Had to put one star so i could post my comment but really did not want to.

Order came an hour late and stone cold. Tried to call and no connection was put through.

Refused to serve allergy sufferers despite having a sign saying to ask about allergies, cash only and didn't have enough change in the till.

Classic takeaway for students. Good quality and good location

One of the nicer takeaways but usually so busy after a night out that it's not worth going to.

Avoid at all costs .... the food was disgusting, pizza had no taste and tasted like dog food, in fact I wouldn't feed it to my dog , I'd be insulting the poor thing .. we got a chicken kebab and it was very low quality the garlic was watery and the staff had no manners ..I actually felt robbed out my pocket !!!!

Was staying at the Marriot hotel across the road so it was quite convenient. Got Kebab meat and chips and when I got back to the my room and tasted the Kebab meat, I was really shocked at how poor it was it was cut very thinly and it tasted like paper! As I only had a few drinks and wasn’t at all drunk. It really annoys me to think that what they serve up to people that are drunk and they would get away with it 🤬 .... It’s safe to say that I’ll never buy any more food from there again, ever!!

I have tried all kinds of pizzas (and other take-away) foods in Durham, and elsewhere. Can certify that this is by far one of the best pizzas I have ever had. Don't listen to the other reviews, probably Papa Johns and Dominos hating.

Very tasty pizza, good toppings. If there is a queue why not pop into The Half moon next door for a pint!!!

Very poor and slow service. Would also question some of the hygiene despite the shop looking immaculate. Not sure why staff preparing the food wear gloves, only for the guy serving to touch it with his bare hands.
