Great coffee but I’ve never experienced such slow service. Co-op staff members clearly get priority when it comes to service and extraordinarily long chats with the cafe staff slow it right down

Bespoke - charismatic - homegrown Suffolk gem. I’ll speak honestly hadleigh is a wonderful town full of independent delights and beautiful walks with plenty of history. Paddy and Scott’s in particular is a relaxing stylish Suffolk coffee house with friendly staff and ridiculously tasty coffee. Your find me in there daily.

Excellent service. Jo and Paris work well together excellent customer service . They were both interacting with each other and were making customers chuckle. Jo and paris are a credit to the company. I would like to also say Aiden is a pleasant, helpful young man who works with a smile on his face. The atmosphere in the shop is very welcoming.

I was very excited when my family discovered P&S's for the first time in Hadleigh and we have subsequently visited other branches but this is our favourite. They offer a great variety of coffee varieties and I especially like the cappuccino. The flat white is probably the best I've ever had. The Oreo milkshake is also excellent. The cakes are good but never amazing and they rarely seem to change which is mildly frustrating if you visit reasonably often. It is a fairly expensive café but really has little competition in the town so if you go there after 10.30 we often find you may not get a table on certain days, but before 10.00 and you're fine. They have the most generous loyalty scheme ever as you soon build up enough points for a free drink! I have to mention though the staff vary quite dramatically in friendliness which can really detract as sometimes you feel you're intruding on a gossip or moan. Some are very formal, but some ask how you are and really seem to mean it. Most often and positively they are pleasant and add to the friendly atmosphere. You order at the counter and the waiter(ess) brings it to your table. The whole querky/funky thing seems a little forced rather than natural but if you are creating a brand a product has to be created which can be duplicated infinitely representing an ethos. These quibbles aside I always enjoy going there and it is a blessing to the town. It is streets ahead in quality and interest to the major chains. I would hate it if Hadleigh was invaded by the soulless giants of the coffee shop world. Long live P&S's!

We now understand why the place was empty with this our second visit. All you could hear was the staff talking loudly about their shifts on and on. Overpriced with a cost of £13.99 for two regular cappuccino's and 2 Portuguese microscopic size tarts.

My friend and I both took our 3 year olds to Paddy and Scott's so we could have a coffee and a chat. Blackboard topped tables and chalk for the children was a massive hit, it's also nice to feel like we had a bit of room, you don't feel too hemmed in. The coffee is fine, fairly basic selection and not much for children - although they did have a hot chocolate, quite expensive though from memory (for a child's hot chocolate). Will go back though. Great location

Summer is here - torrential rain accompanies it and the street is empty. Paddy & Scott's entices us. Two hot ciabatta's and two freshly brewed coffees later and we are once again smiling. Centrally located, comfortable and with easy parking nearby, what's not to like? We found the staff delightful and the quality of the products is great - will certainly return.

I visited for the first time in a year with my husband who is a wheelchair user, daughter and granddaughter. The welcome was so friendly and Paris remembered me and my order which was lovely. The view of the High Street was awe inspiring and the ambiance calm and relaxing. It made my break in Hadleigh just that little bit better. Thank you.

One of the nicest cups of coffee in Hadleigh but I am not sure that the setting (The Co-op) supports it. The service can be less than efficient and the food not always presented at its best but.......the coffee is great!

Service was quite quick, and the very friendly the waitress also brought an egg timer so i could brew the tea for the right length of time! Excellent food, nice coffee and the best Earl Grey ive had, and we thought competitively priced. All in all, pretty fab! Would definately visit again and try other food and teas.

We called in while visiting Hadleigh - the decor is really cool - love the chairs. It has a great sense of branding and the coffee was tasty (as were the pastries). The reason I have rated it as average is simply the staff - it was clear they had lots to talk about - to each other. It's very off putting for customers when this is happening. A bit of staff training and this place could be great.

Whilst visiting Hadleigh on Thursday 18th February at 930am I fancied a coffee so I popped into your Paddy and Scotts coffee shop. On entering I found the atmosphere to be of a warm friendly nature. I ordered a Latte and was told to take a seat and the drink would be brought to me. The female staff member who served me, I found that her customer service skills were outstanding. She chatted and made me feel welcome. I would recommend your coffee shop to people trying something different. I myself work as an assistant manager in the food industry and this is how customer service should be she was a credit to you.

Having travelled the world and frequented many coffee shops from Norway to Australia it is nice to find one with all the greatest attributes right on my doorstep. Friendly staff who know your name by the second visit, room to chat, work or surf the net all with a cup of the best coffee around. Reasonably priced with delicious food if you are staying for a longer visit it has my firm recommend. Great job.

Popped in for coffee and drinks with Grandchilren and other family members. In my opinion the coffee was average I think it was to bitter and the coffee beans could have been slightly burnt giving it the bitter taste, other than this the Childrens drinks were good as were the smoothies. please give it a try the Coffee may be better now.

Very good coffee and staff great. I feel maybe the food is a bit overpriced and often prevents me from ordering a snack with my coffee. As I say though, if you're looking for good coffee then you're in business!Furniture etc is nice but I feel the space could/should be made to feel cosier somehow. All in all, my favoured choice for a coffee stop on Hadleigh High Street.

Café cold and not well situated (inside Co-op).Staff Friendly. Ordered pot of tea for two. Only do cups of tea.Order two cups of breakfast tea. Was charged £2.25 per cup. I questioned this and was told that cheaper tea at 1.75 was their own blend. How can they justify charging £2.25 for a very ordinary teabag in a cup !I would have expected at least a small pot of tea for this extortionate price.I could have a pot of tea in a five star hotel for less than £3.00 with waitress service and leaf tea.

Have visited this place a fair few times and the coffee is amazing. I often come in with my little boy but recently things have slipped. I have worked in catering myself ever since I have been able to work. Tables are always dirty, two members of staff in particular always on their phones, little or no eye contact when taking orders and today was the third occasion I struggled with a buggy a screaming toddler and trying to get my drinks to the table , not one member of staff offered to help. I sat at a dirty table whilst the staff stood gossiping and checking their mobile phones. Such a shame. I ordered a 'babycinno' for my eighteen month old son and it's the third time they have given me scolding hot milk in an espresso cup, I had high hopes for this place when it opened , it seemed very child friendly and a lovely modern feel which Hadleigh needs , but things have slipped. The female waitress/ barista that I have seen a few times in there just cannot be bothered . Absolutely no customer service skills what so ever and quite rude , seems her phone is her priority. As I said such a shame.

So nice to see at last Hadleigh has a 21st century coffe shop. Tha service is good and the regular sized cup of coffee is generous. First day opening with a few minor glitches as the place gets going. However, what an asset to this small town. I live nearby and would not normally stop for a coffee, but now have a reason to do so.I thought I could be happy with a flat white, in my opinion their stand out offering, but the tray bakes are very tempting and taste home made. With free car parking here, I can spend my pennies on a great coffee, stay longer and check out the variety of local shops. Welcome to the new boys in town.

I had spectacular high hopes for this little restaurant on the promenade with the most beautiful setting in North Norfolk. Then I arrived… they call themselves Whitewater … I assume from the dirty waves connecting with sand that gives a slight remembrance to a whitish colour…. I had read a lot of in house things from this ‘restaurant’ through their sister partnership with the Grove…but after a few weeks of research and seeing how they are trying to make arguably a very expensive setting count … I can only come to one conclusion: Most foul coffee… wasn’t even from a proper machine……I chose a pizza… I fancied the OG.. I was extremely intrigued to know what the OG stood for but unfortunately, the waitress didn’t seem to know what I was even on about …. I asked for a soft drink … it came as a warm can of Diet Coke from a plastic glass… as I took my place at the front of what should’ve been the best view was obscured by poor steamed up glass from a kitchen built so close to customers….. after 45 minutes of asking where my pizza was it finally arrived in the absolute only state I would class as charcoal…. Burnt to a crisp… I watched no one make fresh dough… it was obviously frozen…. Absolutely no care or attention prevailed such a worthy product … quite frankly the worse pizza in North Norfolk… if only the view was as gracious as the diabolical food… told the waitress … she argued that ‘most people like the food’ … not even these owners can count on this catastrophic encounter of dreadful over cooked and underwhelming food…. If you can’t provide a proper coffee machine why on earth would you believe you could provide great food…. I’ve most certainly will not be recommending or visiting this venue anytime in the future…. This is one place to quickly scratch off the list… and quick!

I loved this place when it first opened - but sorry - you have gone down hill - I have had 2 chilli jacket potato take-aways now - thought the 1st one was just of a bit of a mistake - didn't want to complain in case it got somebody in trouble - but now had a 2nd one! How can you honestly charge that for a tablespoon of chilli on a potato!?

Came for the first time in a while. Same owners as last time which is a good thing as worried it had gone through a few owners. Green hop festival was excellent with lots of local choice of breweries plus a few non green hop. Had liver and onions and scampi and chips. Proper pub food done well. Good desserts too. Very friendly staff and locals. Will come more often
