Pack Horse Inn in East Riding of Yorkshire

Surprised to see negative reviews. We had a lovely stay. Welcomed on arrival, the attack room is a high standard in all aspects and surprisingly quite despite being over the front bar. All amenities you would expect . I’d recommend the pizzas out back. Hot and tasty while priced well. Parking out front available but not dedicated to guests. Not a problem as there are ample. The pub Makes its own beers and again really good and offered at a good price. I’ve seen negative comments about the owner and staff, we found them polite and helpful. The location is great, not near the front but old town which is excellent for pubs and restaurants Now. The breakfast was a real high point. Well cooked and plentiful served with a smile. We will be booking again for the same weekend. My advice is ignore the negative and give it a try. I don’t think you will be disappointed.

The lunch meals were excellent, varied food menu, with an vegetarian option. The staff were helpful and friendly and my food tasted amazing and I been there back in May 2023 last year after I had a busy relaxing afternoon in Bridlington 2 months before my last day of the caravan for the final time before moving up to the holidays in the future in July 2023 and hopefully I will going back to this place in the future.

Called in last week the place looks nice from the outside but was surprised once entering the place looked as though it was full of football hooligans, shouting and swearing at each other really put us of but ordered some drinks and sat outside with the grandkids after 10 minutes or so a woman came out and said sit down to our grandchild who is only 8 in a really nasty tone, when challenged she said she was the owner HELEN what a horrible woman please avoid this place we won’t be going back.

Never before have I been anywhere with such rude staff don't be fooled by the reviews on here I think they are all paid for!

Whilst on holiday i popped into this pub after a long walk into the old town. The landlady was so nice and welcoming, such a lovely pub. I don't normally write reviews but this pub deserves some recognition. Also, a fantastic selection of draft beers at great prices.

Asked staff for Lilleys cider Miserable cow behind the bar ‘We don’t sell Lilleys’ Sign above my head says ‘Try our Lilleys’ Doh🤦‍♀️ When challenged talked to me like a piece of rubbish Walked out in digust 🤬

Arrived as party of 8 with kids and dogs after a long walk. Greeted by the most accommodating land lady who permitted us to buy cakes and coffees from Tiffin and Co and allowed us to use the pubs fantastic sun trap beer garden at the back. A superb pub with friendly atmosphere and dog friendly facilities.

The Pack Horse is large pub that is now decorated in the modern style, ie grey/blue painted wood walls and simple wooden tables. If you expect pubs in the old town to be twee and traditional, this one would disappoint as it is distinctly a modern bar with music on stream, pool table etc. It’s certainly not what I would call a cosy pub, but is a pleasant enough place for a beer and we would happily use it again.

We had a wonderful overnight stay with breakfast. From the moment we stepped into the beautifully renovated room in the attic, with high quality fixtures and fitting we felt thoroughly taken care of. We can't speak highly enough of the caring attentive staff, delicious breakfast, setting and location. For anyone who enjoys the amdience of yesteryear but a touch of modern luxury and cleaniless; this is for you. P. S Some great ales too. A big thank you to Helen, Rob, Gary and the rest of the team.

My husband and I found The Pack Horse just after lock down and its great for get togethers, it has a really nice outside beer garden and great music.

We stayed as a family for 1 night . We had 1 double and 1 twin room . They were absolutely fantastic with everything you could need . The breakfast was delicious, the staff are amazing nothing was too much trouble for them . We were there on a Friday night and the place was buzzing . Would definitely recommend the Packhorse as a pub or B & B

A good selection of well-priced beers. Friendly atmosphere, very nice staff, and the young lady working on Saturday 23rd really went the extra mile in helping a disabled member of our party. Highly recommended for lunchtime and evening drinks.

Just stayed 3nights at this lovely B&B The rooms were beautifully decorated clean and spacious the shower was superb Helen the owner and all her staff were very friendly and helpful The breakfast was excellent a good old fashioned English breakfast just what you need to set you up for the day Would definitely recommend we will be staying again

There are loads of B&B's in Brid' so, a difficult choice. We decided upon the Pack Horse, as it was close to where we wanted to be in the old town. I have to say it was one of the best B&B's we have stayed in. The room was excellent, loads of room, super shower and comfy bed, what more could you want? The owner and all the staff were really friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was something special, a full English and you had the chance to miss an item if you wished. All in all a very nice place to stay in Brid. Would highly recommend.

We have recently returned from a two night stay at the Pack Horse Inn. The break was our ‘minimoon’ and it was made thoroughly special from start to finish. The little touches in the room were beautiful! The room was absolutely stunning with original features and felt so relaxed and homely. The room we stayed in had a downstairs with a sofa and smart tv. The bathroom had a large and wonderful shower. The whole room was spotlessly clean and we felt extremely safe and comfortable in the current Covid climate. The breakfast included in the price was the best breakfast we’ve had in a long time and Helen couldn’t have been more welcoming and accommodating. In the pub there is a one way system and lots of hand sanitiser where we were able to enjoy a few drinks and again felt very safe. All the staff are lovely! We will definitely be coming to stay here again!

Me and my partner always drink in the Pack Horse when in Bridlington and we were there on Friday. All the staff are super friendly and welcoming and create a really good atmosphere. Great range of ales and lots of gin choice too! The measures they have put in place in response to Covid are excellent, 1 way system, lots of space between tables, hand sanitiser everywhere, bathrooms and bar area very clean and table service to keep the bar area clear. We felt very safe.

We were extremely disappointed and angry at the barmaid tonight and her attitude, and the attitude of some customers who poked their noses in and made us even more upset! My husband and I have been going to this pub regularly, at least once a week for the last 23 months! I’m in a wheelchair and my husband uses a walking stick as he has arthritis in his feet and spine. The way their one way system, implemented for COVID-19 purposes, doesn’t take this into account as the pub has several steps in the pub and leading out of the pub. My hubby took me into the beer garden and we found a table, then he went into the door to the bar which technically was the way out, and the barmaid was very abusive to him, even when he explained the situation. She said that it didn’t matter that he couldn’t walk and I was in a wheelchair, we had to abide by the rules even though we’d been before and there was a barmaid outside at all times to take table orders and she was fine with us then, so what changed?? We loved going there as our once a week treat and now we feel that the staff discriminated against us both, so if you’re in a wheelchair don’t bother with this pub as you get belittled by both staff and other customers. It’s such a shame that a lovely pub that we enjoyed going to has this discriminatory attitude towards disabled people! The staff need some training about diversity...!

We held a family event here recently and Helen and Rob couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating, going the extra mile - literally! The pub has a great atmosphere, the staff are friendly and the pizzas are really good.

Very friendly bar staff, the beer was spot on ( old peculiar) the toilets/ bathroom are the cleanest ones I have ever seen, absolutely spotless 👍 didn’t try the pizzas but a few locals said they are lovely . Will definitely visit again

Stopped for a quick pit stop having walked from the beach. Soon developed FOMO when we saw the pizzas and we’re fortunate to get a table. Fabulous music and staff, ended up spending the evening. It was great. Best pizzas outside Napoli.
