Great tasty food, good selection. Little bit pricey for what it is. Would return

My first time at Pacifica did not disappoint. We opted for the early set menu and were the only ones in the restaurant to begin with. The ladies at the front desk were very welcoming and attentive, the food was fresh, hot and super tasty. Even when it got busy the service did not falter. I’m already looking forward to our next visit.

This place is truly woeful. It has lasted probably due to the fact it’s the only ‘proper’ restaurant in Eccles (Ilirian Greek and Mrs A’s kitchen - both excellent - are more street food/quick eats). To state the cost is expensive is an understatement. We had Banquet Meal A between four people, at £27.50pp. The hot and sour soup tasted off, the starter portions are a mix of dumplings, ribs, prawn toast, and mounds of seaweed. Then you have your main - a small bowl at that - with the meats (chicken and beef) chewy, with a unsavoury taste. All dishes are accompanied by rice or chips. Paying nearly 30 quid per person for bland, small, and some awful tasting food is quite ridiculous. Particularly for the centre of Eccles; it’s not Hale or Bowdon (I live in Peel Green). Had to send two pints of Kingfisher back due to being flat, and noticed they had only just pulled a new barrel through and it should never have been served. Waitresses act as though they’ve been told they have 6 months to live, too, just to top it off.

Had my 50th here. Great place, great food, 100% fantastic.

Food was good but the service was rushed with the staff constantly staring and hovering over our table. Not an enjoyable experience at all It used to recommend this restaurant but will not be anymore. Won't be returning

Have been many times for special and not so special occasions and always had a great time. Today it was awful Items were missed from starters, food was cold (a replacement was offered but afrwe wait8ngbal ostvan hour we'd had enough). The profiteroles 2e just empty greasy batter sh3lls. As said bee many times but won't be returning.

I have enjoyed eating here on a number of occasions now, l would recommend it to anyone

Very good food and great value. The sizzling platters were lovely and the portions of steak were massive. The prawn toast was probably the best that I have ever had. Staff were helpful and efficient. We were offered the opportunity to take our leftovers home. There is a car park right behind that is free after 18:00.

The restaurant it self is in need of updating but the food is still good.

My partner, myself and granddaughter went along today for the Family Buffet which is all freshly cooked. It was delicious and such a wide selection of starters which we just love. Have been coming for about 20 years and service and food never let's it down. My granddaughter loved her treat

Very poor service an quite expensive £80 for 2 people with 5 drinks.

We went group of 20 people. We have ate in Pacifica few times before but this time the food standard was not up to the previous mark. The frried food was way too salty and we informed the staff, the initial response was thus how salt and pepper would taste but then agreed it was way too salty. We didn’t have much appetite after the starters and as we have complained of salt, the mains had no salt😥 The staff and the environment was great… just wish the food was better. Some of them ordered cocktails and they seem to enjoy that. Will we come back?- maybe not. The parking was behind the restaurant and as we went for dinner, it was free There is a selection vegetarian options- fried aubergine was salty but lettuce wrap was good.

Outstanding food, service and atmosphere. Is a must try. Family of 9 all went home very happy.

Came this evening 2 adults and two children due to recommendations from a few people. It's your typical all you can eat. Food was okay never tasted so much salt and the majority of it was cold. In my opinion not worth £27.50 per adult Staff were attentive but won't be returning. You live and learn as they say.

Love this place and have been many times, food is exceptional. The salt and pepper chicken wings and BBQ spare ribs are beautiful. Best to go on Sundays in my opinion for the all-you-can-eat buffet and the starters options are the best 👌🏼

On the way to, Barnsley decided to stop on the way for a Chinese buffet. This restaurant came up on Google Maps. So added to my trip. I'm so glad we did. As we turned up without booking. It was full there. however, they went out of their way and accommodated us to a table. The food was outstanding and tasty. Restaurant very clean. I recommend this restaurant to all those who enjoy Chinese cuisine.

Food as always was excellent . It was a bank holiday Sunday and the place was packed . Plenty of staff on , so service was great . We had the Sunday buffet which was great .

Visited the restaurant on a Saturday night with a mate who has coeliac disease and is a lifelong diabetic. We ordered several starters and a main course from a large and varied menu. There was plenty of gluten free choices to be had. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was spot on and the staff were super friendly. All at a reasonable price. The best Chinese meal I’ve had for a very long time. Can’t wait to return - just wish I lived a bit closer

Very good food, always busy on Sundays with their buffet. Each buffet item is cooked fresh as you order so it's always hot.

The food was marvellous! So tasty, good quality, great variety and totally delicious!! It’s the second time we’ve eaten Sunday lunch as a family. My sister was with us and said it’s the best Cantonese buffet she’s had in her life! All you can eat and the best quality ! Staff are so kind, friendly and totally professional. They can’t do enough for us. Always so lovely and helpful. My mum is now old and disabled and there’s always a helping hand and friendly smile for her. Best place and value for money

I visited Pacific Cantonese for the Sunday all you can eat family offer. Myself, ex husband, two adult sons and adult nephew. We loved the starters which were unlimited. Requested several dishes and ordered enough for each of us. In fact everyone had their fill and didn't leave room for a main or desert. I'm vegetarian and found enough on the menu to enjoy. The staff were very busy as the owner spoke to us and told us that they were short staffed. Despite this the service was great and the food delicious. Definitely worth visiting for freshly cooked high quality dishes.

We have been coming as a family to Pacifica for 10 years+ however will be our last! We came on Sunday for the buffet which has gone up to £27 per head - which is worth it for the food, however the atmosphere was awful. The staff I think because they were busy were so rude, we were spoke at and due to the high level of noise was more of a shout! They were rushing us although we had waited patiently for 30 minutes in the lobby with 3 babies and 11 adults as the sitting before us had over run. Without apology or acknowledgement. What also surprised me was how many more bodies they managed to cram in the restaurant, none of us could hold a conversation. Some of our party have a small appetite and so wanted to order off the a la crate - told no after checking with management if the whole table wasn’t doing so, however our fussy 2 year old although free for the buffet menu would have only eaten rice so asked if we could order him a small portion of chips. That was strangely okay to be ordered and paid for off the a la cart menu as it’s been taken off the main one. For such a ‘high end’ priced buffet would have expected more. The toilets were disgusting, toilet paper strewn all over and no hand wash. The place is looking rather tired unfortunately and not worth the price. Such a shame as the food has always been lovely!

Visited for Father’s Day and was a very pleasant experience. Felt a tad rushed when ordering the starters etc. Never really got chance to enjoy or savour the food. Wish they had more choices for mains too. All a bit samey. Service was excellent and very attentive but they just need to slow things down a little.

Booked a table for Father’s Day. My table booking was confirmed via confirmation email. They phoned me the day before to confirm we was going, I missed the call but phoned straight back and confirmed we were going. They then phoned me again on the actual day of the booking to re-confirm. I did not see my phone was ringing and was busy with it being Father’s Day, so when I noticed the missed call phoned back to be told my table had been cancelled due to not confirming I was still going! This is despite having a confirmation email and speaking to them twice in the last week to confirm. They did not leave me a voice message to explain why and just sent a vague email and text. I phoned to query this but was met with arguments by an extremely rude man. I was told there was no more tables and so thanks to this we were left extremely disappointed. What’s even worse is that they also sent me a text to cancel the table and got my name wrong. What’s even worse is that when my husband phoned back they then changed their mind and said they had a table for us, but at this point the day was already ruined. Would not dine here even if they paid me, for the prices you pay here the service is terrible. They have lost our custom and I would encourage people to eat elsewhere unless you don’t mind paying top rates for poor customer service.

Couldn’t fault this place £27.50 for all you eat buffet,not like most where you help yourself,you order what you want and they bring it fresh to your table,safe to say you know that no one has touched your food or cough all over it,food is brought to your table and you can order as much as you like as long as you eat what ever you’ve ordered,it’s the second time our family has been to the restaurant and won’t be the last,fantastic place to eat and enjoyed 😃

Lovely place and the food is fantastic. However, I must have been asked 20+ times if I wanted a drink or even water. Which is good, but it becomes a bit of a joke after a while. It is difficult to have a conversation when you are constantly being interrupted. Try and allocate tables to a specific member of staff. Still nice though

Booked the function room last weekend. The staff were lovely and accommodating. Allowed us to set everything up way in advance. The food was amazing and I've already made plans to go back and it will probably become a firm favourite. Thank you very much

Mother's Day lunch with Sister's, Step-Mother, Daughter, niece and Great-niece, Sunday 19th March. Staff were friendly on our arrival, once seated they took our orders. Our orders were not consistent, we had to keep asking where items were. Not impressed. Food was delicious as usual.

We love Chinese as a family . We thought we would try Pacifica Cantonese again. The food was stunning all freshly made . We had Max attend to us and we ordered the £10.50 per person mixed platter . The portion size was large and included ribs ,large fresh prawn toast tasting the fresh prawns .seaweed and wontons. Main courses from sea bass to crispy chilli beef all large portions and wine and lager cheaper than most places . Food was promptly served a well run and special restaurant better than China town in Manchester 100% !!!

Took my 3 grandchildren there for the Sunday Special and they loved it I did as well. Just what teenager's like plenty of choices of different dishes to try,.. unlimited Yes I would take them there again they thought it was amazing. Book if your going that's a must, the price £25 per person and worth every penny.

Zero - all the food was deep fried even salt and pepper ribs. This is to hide the terrible quality of the food. Honestly you’d get better if you went to Iceland. We always go for the Sunday family "all u can eat" £25 a head + drinks where u can have as many starters/mains as u want! The food is lush and cooked to a high standard! Maybe more choice of desserts would be an improvement! Staff are v friendly and the service is fast and efficient! The restaurant always appears fully booked and busy. Parking for me is on the train disabled space just at the side so good for blue badge holders! I do know there is a car park very near for other drivers.... I would encourage anyone to go and eat here but be prepared to be full at the end!! 🥠🥡🥣🍤🍥🍽

Party of nine on a Saturday night. Food was delicious but came out at different times so some of the party were eating before others were served. This is the only reason for 4 stars.

As the trafford centre was so busy today, we decided to google Chinese restaurants nearby and came across Pacifica Cantonese in Eccles which is a ten minute drive from the trafford centre. I rang the restaurant when I arrived, before getting a car park ticket and the staff were very friendly and booked us in at short notice on a Saturday night. The food was excellent! I would highly recommend going if you haven’t been before. The staff could not have been more helpful. A very pleasant experience all round.

This is a top class restaurant. The décor is gorgeous, the food excellent and the waiting staff very friendly and highly attentive. The toilets were pristine too. My only grumble is that vegetarian and especially vegan options were very limited. Otherwise, I am delighted to recommend Pacifa Cantonese.

What a great find in the middle of Eccles. Friendly staff and a menu that wasn't overly extensive. The dishes were well cooked and delicious.
