Oyato (African Restaurant) in Birmingham

The food was amazing, such an excellent chef. Was such a nice vibe and an amazing atmosphere, hats off to the chef. The Abula was 12/10! Definitely coming back here!

Food could have done with more seasoning. But it wasn't bad. service was great.

This is by far the best Nigerian food that I have had in Birmingham. Feels just like home.

Amazing food, a hidden gem in the city!

Awful. Ordered Gbegiri Ati Ewedu With Assorted Meats and Ayanmase Sauce With Assorted Meats for over 20 quid. Waited 2 hours for the delivery. Food was reaaly bad. There was no meat at all. Just bloody tripe. Had to throw everything to a bin. My worst food experience ever.

Yummy and fresh food. I enjoyed the Amala and egusi soup. The restaurant is difficult to locate just ring their phone number or go beside the subway then follow the stair and open the white door on the right.

This place isn't the easiest to find, but it's worth the hunt! Best to go on foot, and head through to cars parked down the alley to the right of Subway. On the left hand side you'll find a metal staircase that leads up to the entrance. It's essentially a flat which has been turned into a restaurant. In terms of the food; the jollof rice with chicken was very tasty, and the egusi soup was lovely. I ordered one portion of garri and it was sizeable, enough for two people! My only slight gripe was the large pieces of fat and other unknown meats which were in the jollof, but other than that it was a lovely takeaway meal.

The food is extremely delicious here. African or no African, you need to try the food at this restaurant, you will love it.

Honestly the nicest lady you will ever meet the food was amazing and very very filling very affordable good prices nice people and an amazing atmosphere felt like I was with the family eating honestly would definitely recommend I’m coming again

My son wanted to have Nigerian food for the first time. We were served by Ade and his wife, very friendly and helpful. We had Catfish soup, Egusi soup, ewa agoyin , swallow and of course jollof rice with chicken. All was wonderful and tasty. My son enjoyed a lot. Just a word of warning - parking is a nightmare but all worth it.

The Egusi soup I had with Pounded Yam is sumptuous and delicious. I really enjoyed it just like my mum's food.

Discovered Oyato restaurant online when I was craving for a good home cooked meal. Her soups reminded me of my mums cooking which was traditional and you could tell it was prepared with care. 😊 Meal arrived steaming hot and communication was excellent. Thank you !!!

Highly recommend. Woke up one day craving for some proper Nigerian food. I searched on google and found Oyato. Called them and placed an order. Despite the distance, they delivered well and the meal was delicious. Will I order again? Yes please. The lady I spoke with over the phone was really courteous and lovely

Odered some take away, everything was super delicious. If there was anything more than 5🌟 I would be giving that because the service is more than 5 star. I would also like to add that the portion is very good.
