Stayed at the Premier Inn next door again and had our breakfast at Oswalds Cross - as usual the service was friendly and efficient and we like that the food is made to order so it arrives fresh and hot. No frills just good value and we will undoubtedly return.

Awful place. Staying in premier inn next door. Popped in tonight for a beee at 2120 and guy behind bar said no tills and they have stopped serving for the night. Even though i walked tbrough door and he rang bell for last orders. Same happened friday night.

We stayed in the premier inn next door we were booked in the table table bar and restaurant next door. I ordered the garlic mushrooms they were all batter over cooked, then I ordered a sirloin steak medium to rare when it came it was as tough as old boots , the only positive was the breakfast no complaints

Have eaten here fairly regularly over the years and I do not feel that the change of policy with regard to placing ones order has enhanced or helped the experience one iota.This is obviously not the fault of the staff but am advised it is "HO" policy.One of the benefits of visiting here was that at least it felt like a restaurant and not a pub.Cost saving maybe but improving things NO!

Great service from Jade. Food was good value for money. The location is perfect for anyone visiting the veterans hospital in Oswestry.

Terrible steak!! Outside had only just been cooked, impossible to eat as it was like an old boot!! Took it home for my dog. Not once was I asked was everything ok . Service not good either, the other two meals weren’t too bad. Not a pleasant experience. Won’t be back any time soon!

Good value food, well cooked and well priced drinks. We were served by Jade who was charming, delightful and made our visit enjoyable.

Restaurant handled a large group of us, food was good but unsure on portions, I ordered a pie with mash but I had very little mash and peas yet one of my friends had almost double on his plate. This is probably down to the restaurant rushing to get out a large food order but the kitchen pass quality inspection was missing the day we visited.

Big shout out to Martyn. We are a family of 18 who were visiting on our way to a family wedding. Martin went over & above to accommodate us all together and ensure we had everything we needed. Food arrived quickly and was delicious. Thank you team. We also had breakfast the following morning and once again the Team were extremely friendly, breakfast buffett was varied and those who ordered cooked breakfasts were happy with their food. 10/10

Eat there, booked on a Monday, eat on a Wednesday. The guy refused to place us on another table other than the one "allocated". It was 5:30 pm. Tables were available that had a view other than a brick wall and were not in a passage way. Other customers in twos had tables for four which didn't have a view of a brick wall and not in a thru fare. Doubt it was a Covid mandate but a miserable git waiter on the door who was on a one up manship ego trip.Won't be eating in there again. Also not the economic dining before 18:00 if you fancy pudding, if you start before 18:00 but order pudding after 18:00 you get whacked with the full price of the pudding. One waiter managed to wreck the meal, pity when the rest were pleasent on the miserable table.No tip was given for the miserable table and non accommodating guy.

I visited this restaurant with my daughter and upon arrival we were greeted by Amelia who showed us to a table after we had completed the necessary requirements of track & trace as we hadn't provisionally booked.Once at the table Amelia gave us enough time to look over the menu before returning to take our order. We didn't have to wait long for our meals to arrive and they were lovely.Another gentleman cleared our table (I think his name was Nick) and took our dessert order.The staff here are very friendly, efficient and nothing is too much trouble.Thank you for a lovely visit and we will definitely be returning again

I visited for 'coffee' on 24th October after a trip to the hospital. I ended up having continental breakfast thanks to the persuasive power of Hayley! It was lovely her and another young girl served me. How nice they both wee, I could have stayed all day. Definitely visit again once they are open. I went for a meal with my partner and 10yo old son on a Sunday. We were served by Alex who was lovely, very friendly. We both had a Sunday lunch which was very nice and good portion sizes. My son had a burger which he really enjoyed. We were worried about covid so Alex seated us as out the way as possible, she went above and beyond to help us feel safe! We will visit again!

I visited Oswalds Cross for breakfast on my way to work. I was greeted at the door by a lovely member of staff who explained their covid rules clearly and took me to my table. Breakfast arrived quickly with lots of hot tea, service was friendly and fast. An excellent way to start my day. Highly recommended. Thank you to Hayley and Alex for looking after me!

Having booked a table for 8.30 a week in advance I was told on arrival that next time I should book earlier as they're supposed to stop serving at 8.30. The staff member was nice enough about it but why allow me to book that time slot online in the first place? I wanted to eat after finishing work at 6.30 and driving for 2 hours to my overnight stop. My experience therefore started off with me wishing I'd made other arrangements.I had the salmon which was very overcooked, chewy and tasteless. I toyed with the idea of ordering a dessert but after 20mins waiting for someone to walk by I gave up on the idea - as far as I could tell there was only one other group in the whole place. I asked for the bill when my table was cleared and when it arrived 15 mins later it came with a comment about it being time to cash up so I needed to settle up - not a problem for me I'd been ready to leave for at least half an hour!I'm staying at the Premier Inn again in a fortnight - I'll be going to KFC for dinner.

Lovely breakfasts served here at an excellent price of £8.99 which includes unlimited breakfast and unlimited coffee and teas. I came hereon Wednesday morning the staff are lovely and always make time to have a little chat! You are doing an excellent job

My Son invited me for lunch at the Oswald's Cross Restaurant. We both had Chicken Forestiere which was tasty and filling. Customers were seated according to social distancing and service was very good.We were looked after by Antonia who was attentive and efficient. I look forward to visiting again.

The food was OK, but not brilliant. Gammon steak eggs and chips for me and scampi chips and peas for my wife. It was acceptable and reasonably well cooked, but not brilliant. I've had tastier ham before, and portions are not very large. However, for this reasonably priced food it was OK

We had two evening meals while staying at the Premier Inn.The Hotel receptionist had booked our tables. We were not kept waiting when we arrived and were shown immediately to our table. I would absolutely recommend table table to anyone, the service was brilliant food was at your table in 10 minutes and my mixed grill was cooked to perfection i will be taking my family back in more than one occasion brilliant place
