Not as bad as people are saying I think a lot of folks came here as a last resort as other places were busy so they were hangry. Come down and make up your own mind

Well, tried to eat here twice this weekend, but the opening hours on Facebook don't correspond with reality. We did ring when we arrived, and once they said they'd be open in half an hour, next time they said they were stuck in traffic. Would love to try this place, but they're not making it easy.

We do I start ? 😃. Food was so amazing, from the starter’s to main and dessert! Absolutely amazing. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone!! Food and music is fantastic , really wished I'd have found this earlier on my holiday and not on the last day , congratulations for recreating a Jamaican vibe throughly enjoyed my visit and will be back in the future x

Good food, party of six with two dogs which they allowed in with no problems. Large portions at a fair price with a nice atmosphere and friendly staff.

Firstly they didn't inform us the card machine wasn't working until the end of our meal and despite being the only people in the restaurant the staff were not attentive. I ordered the vegetarian skewers and was presented with a plate of lettuce with some corgette and aubergine, definitely not worth £12.95. Chips and onion rings were greasy, food lacked flavour and presentation was poor. Would not visit again.

So disappointed. Had such high hopes. Mussels were tasteless, chips were greasy, a vegetarian skewer, with some iceberg lettuce for £13 and if they had let us know they were unable to accept cards at the start that would have helped.

Food tasted great, cocktails were good, only problem is lack of staff, the one waitress 'jaycee' was working really hard and she kept a smiling was providing great service considering she was working front of house alone.

Don't bother. Our food looked like it had been microwaved when it was served and was luke warm. We asked for it to be replaced with fresh, hot food and it was clearly the same food reheated when it came back which means that they reheat rice more than once which breaks food hygiene regulations. Plus the waitresses haven't got a clue, we watched them take orders from large groups and deliver the drinks two at a time, I don't think they've heard of a tray.

Menu sounded great but food very disappointing.

Food was incredible. Absolutely worth the wait (15 mins max) because it’s fresh and cooked beautifully. This is a must try if you’re in Tenby. Jerk Chicken and Curry Chicken 10/10. Cocktails also very good. Large and very well priced.

We popped in for lunch after being enticed by the BBQ outside. Service was great, the waitress was welcoming and attentive. Good choice of options on the menu, we both opted for the jerk wrap which was tasty and cooked perfectly. Great place to eat, my only menu suggestions to management would be good if you offered jerk chicken breast as not everyone likes eating around bones also Mac & cheese as a side would be a great addition to the menu. Would definitely come back when in the area

Lovely atmosphere, attentive staff and delicious, authentic Jamaican food. We had the curry goat, jerk chicken, rice and peas, plantain and pineapple slaw and it was superb. Will definitely be coming back next time we are in Tenby. Thanks again!

After reading the reviews didn't paint a rosy picture, having been in the hospitality industry my self, it's very hard to get trust worthy reliable staff, or staff as a whole especially in the current climate, any way gave oshies a whirl, very few alcoholic drinks on offer for a female,apart from cocktails which I put down to being Jamaican based, lagars were just Red stripe and Heineken, this aside, received good, quick service from the young waiters, ordered a goat curry, which was very tender, ample portion size at a great price, where I live this would of easily cost £16 to £22, give Oshies a try, no woman no cry!

Food was excellent and the music gives the place a great vibe. Will be visiting again.

Ackee and Saltfish was nice, great Jamaican dumplings but I only realized after I'd left that the meal was supposed to have included Plantain. Really disappointed once I realized!

Curry goat, rice and peas was very nice and would come back again if in the area. Recommend people to visit and give it a try.

Great service and good range of choices on the menu. The takeaway and delivery service would be improved if the food was presented in sealed containers.

Walking around tenby saw this nice place, stopped to have something to eat and drink, ordered our drinks( 2 pints lager) and took 10/15 minutes to come, okay we thought maybe they are short staffed,ordered food came quite quickly,I was missing stuff from my plate and the bread wasn’t that fresh, sorry oshies

Expensive but low quality and quantity of food. I ordered one love and the food was cold and the chicken was too dry. Poor hygiene. Table was not cleaned. Food were served very slow. I was waiting for an hour.

Delicious Jerk Chicken, in a generous portion that will make 2 lunches. A nice change from the usual fish and chips and a great addition to Tenby fare. What comes is smoky and mild with a slight kick. Next time I’ll ask for hot sauce.

We were visiting Tenby for the first time .Stumbled upon this lovely restaurant because of the smell of the fantastic jerk barbeque outside . Food didn't let us down . Authentic and tasty.Staff were attentive and well mannered .Highly recommend reasonable price especially to eat in . One of the best Caribbean restaurant and great music x

Good value ,range of cocktails, big portions

Me and my brother came away to Wales for a few days. Headed down to Tenby for the day and came across Oshie’s kitchen. Good vibes and Bob Marley booming from inside drew us in. Atmosphere, food, drinks and service was excellent. Absolutely no faults in any part of our visit. So many thanks to the chefs and bar staff who were working! (25/2/22)

Came on Valentine’s Day with friends- could not recommend highly enough. The Yard Man chicken curry was top tier and all burgers were delicious. The homemade pineapple slaw, dumplings and bbq sauce were amazing!!!! The kids menu came with a choice of ice creams and our little one selected Candy Floss flavour….unique and lovey!! Highly recommended!!!

Walking around a windy Tenby, on the beach freezing cold we needed a hearty meal to warm us up! We saw Oshie's place and noticed the goat curry on the board, sadly we were the only customers which is a real shame as our curry was amazing, warmed you from the top of your head to the soles of your feet. The goat melted in your mouth, the rice mixed in complementary to the curry and my only gripe was we needed more slaw and dumplings as this mixed in really well and took the edge of the curry! Great music and if we weren't driving would have topped it off with a rum ncoke :)

Went here tonight. Totally random, one off visit to stunning Tenby. Was starving. Checked some local restaurants out first but were pricey. Walked past this place and the menu and prices were much more appealing so thought we'd give it a try. Mushroom risotto, Jamaican jerk chicken and extra spicy mixed seafood dish for starters and Jamaican pork with rice and beans were full of flavour. Everything was absolutely delicious! Staff were great too! Some reggae playing in the background made the mood even nicer. Top job everyone, especially the chef. Thank you!

Well what a disappointment ,, firstly your greeted eventually by a what appears to be a 12 year old with no people skills at all ,, not even offered a menu so grab a takeaway paper menu from another table ,,, go to the bar area order your food not asked if you would like any sides , not sure these are available mind as not on the menu . The portion size obviously is designed with the 12 year old servers in mind so small we had to go elsewhere and have food , very salty n watery ,, would not recommend this place 🙁

Stumbled across here and went in when other places were fully booked. Glad we did, jerk chicken was excellent and accommodated kids as well. No issues at all!

Great vibes and great food. Don't be put off by the sparse interior. The food was gorgeous. Friendly staff too. The goat curry and mama browns stew was tasty, slightly spicy and moreish. Only issue was, there wasn't enough. I wanted more, until I was uncomfortably full and couldn't walk. If you want a bit of sunshine in both music and flavour, then give this place a visit. Enjoy.

Great food for the price full of flavour and made of high quality ingredients. Cocktails are very good and nice Jamcian music playing throughout our stay created a nice atmosphere. Dog friendly as let our dog sit down next to the table as we ate which is appreciated. Fast service and overall great restaurant. Definitely recommend

I have tried jamaican food all over london, from london to Jamaica. And this little treasure 2 mins from tenby harbour is 10 out of ten! The staff are spot on. Oshie is the man. AB AKA paul

What a fabulous accident. Found this little gem in Tenby. Doesn't look like much from outside but staff very accommodating, quickly cleaned table to seat us. Lovely wine, nice glasses. Food was delicious, homecooked vibes. Would definitely come back and recommend.

Put simply= save your money, go elsewhere

With many places around the Tenby town centre seemingly closed or mega busy at the moment, I’m glad we came across this restaurant. Great vibes and the food was delicious! Staff were very friendly and food and drinks were served in a timely fashion. Can’t fault it and would definitely dine here again.

What can I say!had ackee and saltfish and rice and peas (take away )when got back and opened the box I couldn't believe how little there was.i counted 4 tiny bits of saltfish and had a teaspoon of coleslaw n no plaintine.im sorry but for £10.95 I was sooo disappointed.the little saltfish I had was dry n chewy. I cook this all the time but as was on holiday thort I'd have a treat.if it wasn't for the fact I didnt open the box straight away I would have back.

We haven’t had any Jamaican food since we lived in Bristol and this place hit the spot ! Super tasty food and lovely atmosphere, the front of house staff ( one guy on his own) was so lovely and welcoming , we will defiantly be new regulars !:)

When we saw this place we were really excited as we have never tried Jamaican food. When I read the reviews after ordering I wondered what the food would be like. However I was not disappointed :) I had the ribs and they were falling off the bone they were so tender. My daughter had the steak and again it was delicious. Hubby had the fish dish and it was lovely. The music and the decor took us to another place. Thoroughly enjoyed it and plan on returning again. It felt safe in there too with covid regs in place. Lovely relaxing evening and would definitely recommend it. 👌

Doesn't even deserve 1 star. Jerk Chicken wings was so over cooked there was no white chicken inside just tough chewy something. Ribs with a hp sauce topping. Nothing Jamaican about this place apart from the music

Omg what can I say..1st the staff are amazing and so friendly.. I had curry goat rice and peas..and chicken wings..I'm very fussy and eat a lot of curry goat .but this has got to be the best I've ever tasted in my life..the flavours were amazing..so nice that I order a few to take home with me... and I will definitely be back that's for sure...

Not what we hoped. Full rack of ribs which tasted ok was only 4 bones definitely definitely not a full rack and not cooked on the bbq outside Mixed seafood starter was lovely one of the kids meals came with 7 skinny chips . More was brought out.. Ordedd house wine £4.50 a glass which turns out to be £6 a glass because u don't ask which size .. £60+ bill which was probably worth £40 Not sure what gets cooked and serverd from the bbq as we didn't see anything get added or taken off

Sweet Potato Lies - had a starter and main each here. Was enticed in by the bbq smoking outside. No food was cooked on the bbq. The cocktails had no alcohol in. The food had no taste. The jerk pork I had was more like pork in gravy - it certainly wasn’t jerk sauce. Do yourself a favour, queue for a decent restaurant in town it will be worth the wait.

With long weird outside all the restaurants in Tenby, We were really happy to stumble across this practically empty Caribbean restaurant we love Caribbean food but were hugely disappointed with our experience here. We thought this would be authentic Caribbean cuisine but it was a much paler version, with extremely small portions to boot! The pineapple coleslaw came in a teeny tiny pot smaller than an egg cup which when emptied onto our forks barely covered 3/4 of them. All six of us all had something missing from our dishes without being told prior to ordering and when questioned the staff were unapologetic and unsympathetic. We left feeling neither satiated nor happy with the service - actually a little upset by the poor quality and quantity of food In fact. We will not be going back and urge others to avoid if possible.

Walked around Tenby for an hour trying to find a seat outside a pub/cafe and this had empty seats outside so we choose to eat here..bad mistake Menu looked really promising ..not terribly cheap so expected some decent food £48.80 for 3 cans of diet coke (no ice or glass offered) an orange juice and 4 main meals My husband had one love..a small chicken breast..no bacon or salad in sight..small pot of slaw and a few chips..my kids had 2 classic cheeseburger.. The burger was half the size of the bun..plain bun..no spread or anything on it..my BBQ ribs were luke warm and not cooked properly and the chips were cold ; I took it back.The server checked the heat with his fingers and proclaimed the ribs were only just cold! He'd only just served me them.. They should have been piping hot.. I got my money back. The rest of my family ate their food as they were starving; they were underwhelmed and went to a takeaway straight after for a portion of chips each... I know that they will apologise and say they've had a busy summer in their response to this..not good enough though is it? The server was apologetic and polite but I'm guessing in a busy holiday town you can serve rubbish and get away with it as you don't rely on repeat custom

Visited OShie's for the first time this evening with my family and we all thoroughly enjoyed. Food, staff and atmosphere were fantastic we can't wait to go again. Staff went above and beyond. All tables were full and people were waiting for tables to become available. All in all a popular place genuinely don't understand the bad reviews.

Best restaurant known to man, if you ever decide to stay in Tenby or even just pop in here for the day then make sure to give Oshie’s Kitchen a try as it’s food is perfect from the chicken nuggets to the steaks and the hygiene is just 10/10 and is spot on

More of a cafe feel but food was very good.

Absolutely abysmal the quantity of food was shocking the burger was the size of a meatball the coleslaw was bland and had no flavour to it. In other words the service was dreadful cutlery was slammed on the table like it was nothing we will not be returning. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Absolutely great place. Food was delicious and cocktails were very reasonably priced (and very strong) The Decor wasn't to my taste but that's not necessarily a problem. As long as you don't go here expecting fine dining and just want good food and a relaxed atmosphere you'll have a great night

The quality of the food here is very poor after waiting for a takeaway for an hour. The food was bland, with no Caribbean taste or spices to be seen. Some of the dishes were undercooked (Jerk Chicken) and had to be thrown away. The children’s pizza wasn’t even a pizza but a pitta bread smeared with tomato paste and grated cheese, even though it was meant to a pepperoni pizza. The starter we also had (Mussels) a large number of them were unopened so unsafe to eat and had to go in the bin too. We won’t be returning again and a ruined family meal.

I would even give this place one star, one of the worst meals I have ever had. Food was not as we ordered, luke warm and bland.

Very poor food and service. Jerk chicken.....ha..!!! Tasteless Microwaved chicken with no flavour Soggy badly cooked oven chips Jerk pork was a boil in the bag again with no flavour Kids meals claimed to include ice cream or fruit but when asked they did not have any. Toilets are as badly kept as the rest of the place. No toilet paper, No hot water, barely any cold water and the cubicle could be opened from the outside when locked. Staff had no clue what they were doing. This place is a travesty to Caribbean cooking. You should be ashamed of yourselves...

Don’t waste your time and money. Food is absolutely disgusting. Plenty of other places in Tenby for the same prices. It’s all about the Rolex Can’t even cook chicken. It’s not grilled nor is it bbq. It’s more like oven chips and tasteless coleslaw. Steak is covered in pepper. And pulled pork is microwave style. Don’t waste your time. Trust me

7.95 for a Rasta salad. 1.5 tomatoes. 4 bits of cucumber, mango (missing) a bit of orange pepper as big as my little finger nail and some dressing. Noisy. I felt sorry for the to boys serving. Understaffed. I forgot there was some lettuce too! Sticky tables. I could go on.

Came here one evening of our holiday, staff was friendly, but food took a while to arrive. Later that evening my brother was sick multiple times due to the food not being cooked properly, will definitely not be coming here again!

Very average. Staff were not particularly welcoming. No glasses given for a can of drink. Toilet facilities were poor. The restaurant could do with being redecorated. Food was ok, but I would not bother to go back. We only ended up there at Tenby was extremely busy.

I really enjoyed my Mamas Brown Chicken Stew. Full of flavour, warming and plenty of tender chicken. This was however served amidst a truly chaotic experience including the most unappetising ends of fish, mostly skin presented as a fish goujon kids meal, this was reluctantly brought over after some confusion between orders. We needed to persuade the chef that the Jerk chicken and steak they brought to the table were not ours, it seemed it was too much to imagine that we may have ordered some items the same as another table. A children’s mash and sausage arrived 10 minutes before the gravy that it should have been served with. Two members of our party choose to leave rather than suffer any more of the tumultuous happening. I spoke to one of the waiting staff about the unenjoyable evening, for which a shrug of the shoulders was given in reply. Eventually a couple of kids meals were reluctantly refunded. I wouldn’t be able to recommend this venue in its current state.

I was sceptical going in this place for Jamaican food without a single Jamaican person working in the restaurant. I was honestly quite disappointed and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone Staff were pleasant but the food and drink way overpriced. Small portions, poor products, flat lager and tasteless cocktails. I had the jerk wings to start which come as the 2 smallest sparrow wings I ever did see. An embarrassing portion especially for a Caribbean restaurant. My son had a burger which was an adult burger and was tiny on a huge cheap looking bun with no sauce. Little effort put into it and my son didn’t finish the burger it was completely overcooked and tasteless. My wife has the haloummi burger that was poorly deep fried again with no sauce, dry as a bone. I had the curry goat that was like a weight watchers portion with a real lack of food on the plate, deep fried banana (that not plantain) and the tiniest portion of coleslaw The red stripe on draught was flat as you like along with the cocktails just not looking like anything that resembles an actual cocktail. The 2 front staff were nice lads but didn’t even provide any knives and forks for the food A suggestion for the owner. Sort your business out before you end up without one. Overall very poor, overpriced and staff need more training

menu looked good. we as a family of four all ordered. lion burger was good and my lad enjoyed it. pulled pork wrap was good as well and my daughter also enjoyed it. me and mum had the curried goat and the rasta stew which we a both agreed was tasty but portions were small especially for the price.. sorry would not be able to recommend.

Worst restaurant experience ever! Terrible food, terrible service! Took an hour for food to arrive and not all at the same time. Food not as described in menu (missing items). There were people complaining all over the restaurant. No tomato ketchup available for kids. 2 of us have had bad stomachs since eating there. Would definitely not visit again.
