Just a coffee today. Very much like the friendly staff and chilled atmosphere

Quiet when we went, but a nice place, decent food and friendly staff. The fact you've got a huge Gluten Free menu (And the food actually tastes good!) is a real winner for us.

Nice and lovely place for meeting family or friends. Nice coffee and cakes.

As a wheelchair user the upstairs area was not accessible (not a problem as downstairs is fully accessible!) The only way to access the downstairs area is by the ramp from the street level which is too steep to self propel for most of us manual chair users! This obviously is not the venues fault but just an observation. We had hot chocolate, tea and coffee which were nice and my wife had a panini and our friend had a breakfast both of which were good. We ordered on the app and both food and drinks came promptly. Service was excellent all round and we will be returning! It was great to see well behaved dogs coming into the venue, great idea!

Had to order at the bar. No service at the table. For the price of food and drinks you expected service at the table.

Another visit and standing waiting to be served while two male colleagues chatted away behind the bar, walked out and had a drink in the vue cinema, worked out cheaper and actually got decent customer service. what exactly is the issue in this place with serving customers? Won’t be back!

We went there for a birthday celebration. It was 11 of us and we had to pre order our meals as when we contacted the team to make the reservation they said we needed to pre order as we were a big group. As we arrived on Saturday 5:30pm some of us waited 40 min for their drinks. The food took more than an hour and a half to arrive. Some of the dishes were cold and tasteless. It felt like we were eating microwaved food. Very disappointed with the quality of the food and the service. We got a discount in the end but that does not change the terrible experience. It was a birthday celebration so it was very frustrating to have enjoyed the meal. I do not recommend this place.

Went for lunch with a friend and ordered separately. Took 40 minutes for her drink to come and it took mine 20 minutes. Food was a bit quicker. Asked our server to query something for us about a drink and they never did. However, food was a good size portion and tasted amazing, drinks were nice but weren't worth the 20-40 minute wait.

Friendly, helpful, good vibes, excellent with allergies.

My second time at Orieto... The people I was with we're very happy with their food, service And prices, and so was I!

I have been coming in here regularly since this place opened a couple of years ago ago. Me and my dog Soko love it. Get this - they ran out of doggy treats today and so they’ve offered to cook him a couple of sausages. Gratis. Outstanding service. Highly recommended. Staff are a top bunch.

Had a few nice meals here. At the weekend we stopped for a quick drink and only had about 40 mins before closing and the staff working were so friendly and welcoming despite it being near closing time and a lot of the bar etc. was being cleaned down - bar staff were really nice to chat to.

Great selection of food and drinks and high quality! Includes a vegan menu which is very decent. Some really nice in-house drinks. I love the sherbet lemonade! Staff were very friendly and helpful! Even notified us of a promotion deal that we were eligible for in which we were offered free deserts. And checked to ensure they were in stock and let me know when the desert I ordered only had one left in not great condition and asked if I wanted a different option. They also were doing live music but I left just before. Plenty of seating, with two floors and a nice aesthetic. Can order food online to the table or at the bar.

The food was good, as was the service. The interior was cool, but the atmosphere was confusing. Some eating meals, others sat about watching videos on their phones loudly.

One of the better cafes in town , food has got abit better over the last few months .

Paying over 14£ for bang bang chicken. Then you get 3 little strips, and two massive broccolis , witch are hard as rock, unable to eat. Plate in general was greasy, and didn’t taste good. Table 15

Love it here. Food is decent and they have a good drinks menu. Usually get a table no issue. Suitable for babies and pushchairs. Highly recommend

Popped in whilst out shopping. Had a lovely tapas of bang bang cauliflower, salt pepper squid and Thai prawns.... bloody lovely, all washed down with Sherbert lemonade... Great venue, just wish it wasn't in the middle of a run down town centre

Loved it here! We had the Shakshuka which was delicious. The decor is quirky and different but lovely. The staff were all so friendly which really lifted the experience. Breastfeeding friendly too. The place was clean and well lit too. We will definitely go back. New favorite in Basildon for sure!

I ordered a vegan salad, I received a feta cheese salad! Whether someone has a preference or an allergy, staff should be more careful. I am vegan therefore I requested the vegan menu. We made our food order, mine was a simple vegan salad. Shortly after the manager approached our table stating cauliflower for my option was unavailable, I chose an alternative, they returned to state they only had one falafel so I chose a different option for my salad. My husband’s meal arrived, after waiting 15 minutes I asked the staff how long my salad would be, it arrived a while after. I had a couple of spoons of the food before realising the flavour was off, although it resembled humus as in the details on the menu, after querying this with the kitchen they confirmed it was whipped feta cheese. (Obviously not vegan) Rosheen the in house manager was very apologetic. After speaking to Katie at head office, feedback has been sent to the team and two weeks after the incident I have received an apology from Sarah - assistant manager Although the atmosphere was very comfortable and relaxed, nothing on the menu was available and no-one seemed to know what they were doing

Went for breakfast and the food was very nice. Nice please to visit. Will be going back for lunch or dinner to try different meals.

I went here for a work do evening with Tapas provided. Apart from a lot of rowdy noise from some of the locals, the service and food/drinks was excellent.

The service is warm and welcoming and always willing to help and look after you while enjoying your meal or just drinks. A little more expensive than some but the food is wonderful, great tasty and good portion size.

First time here, wanting a nice brunch, I had a ciabatta with pulled pork (nice), Mac and cheese (nice), and halloumi fries (very nice.) However… my other half and his friend had full English breakfasts. How on earth can you screw it up? Beans… straight out the fridge? Bacon slimy, and sausages that were so hard you could use them as a door stop. Really really disappointed as we were only told good things. Thankfully staff dealt with the issues friendly, seemed like a friendly bunch and a chilled atmosphere. Just a shame to be let down.

Amazing restaurant, beautifully decorated and lovely food. We came on Valentine’s Day with the tables set with candles and chocolates, which was a nice addition. Has so many vegetarian options which was great as a vegetarian! Food was quick, and the atmosphere was lovely. My partner had a chicken and bacon burger which he enjoyed and i had the halloumi burger which i enjoyed too. As well as this the prices were very reasonable with 2 cocktails for just under £12! Definitely will come back!

Nice and relaxing .. good cocktails offers in week 5-8 pm. Good mid week food offers.. nice food just not that much to my liking in choices .. advertises to relax and read a free newspaper but they don't have any when asked.

Food was absolutely gorgeous and very filling, I had the Big lounge breakfast and never disappoints me added extra mozzerella and sweetcorn fritters which were amazing. The service from Rosh and Sarah was both welcoming and friendly.

Separate vegan and gluten free menus which is really helpful. The food was lovely but the chips and tapas portion sizes were small. We will definitely go again but probably not regularly as it is a bit pricey. Helpful staff

My favorite place to be whenever I wanna eat out.. very comfortable seats and hmm the English breakfast is a top notch. Taking lots of friends there and they are always excited over the English breakfast and how comfortable you could be on those couches ☺️☺️ feels like Home away from Home😁😁😁

Pop in regularly and always impressed with food and excellent service / staff. Was rushed for time today and a small delay with our Churro's snack was so professionally handled. Thank you very much & back soon - Cliff & Lauraine (was on table 5)

Perfect place for a relaxing meal or drink

I was waiting to give a proper review for this restaurant, so we visited 4 times in a row to taste more dishes. Now I am in a state to give a valid comment. Truly AMAZING. My wife and me are delighted to recommend this great place for all. This is our best restaurant destination in Basildon. Best dish is Nasi Goreng 😊. The environment is full of nice decorations with friendly staff. Pets are allowed and we met few lovely dogs. Only negative thing I noticed is they don’t do delivery 😢

Good to see new businesses in the struggling town centre but this place was dreadful.Put in my order for me and my partner then sat down and worked out we had been overcharged,after asking for the receipt i discovered i was charged for a Chicken Avocado Burger instead of my requested Halloumi Burger, told staff no apology at all was given.My partner then got her meal 20 minutes before mine and we had to ask for her diet coke 15 minutes after I received my coffee.Halloumi Burger finally arrived stone cold,everyone makes mistakes and don't wish to sound vindictive but to run a establishment like this and give no apology for such a service is beyond me.

Went for pre show dinner, was pretty quiet and the waitress overstepped a tad joining in a conversation they weren't invited to wasn't a big problem but a tad intrusive. Food as always was lovely

Food choices are original for Basildon and very tasty. A bit noisy probably due to high ceilings. Staff helpful and friendly, slightly overpriced but will go back

Ordered 6 tapas dishes 5/6 where great, the highlight where the corn fritters wow they where nice, maple BBQ wings where good but very sweet too sweet for me. The potato dish was heavenly light an fluffy. The only pause on the greatness was the beef quesadillas where cold. The bar man was very friendly and made many recommendations, while answering my questions.

Only stopped for a coffee of which was great, great service, spotlessly clean, dog friendly

I'm sad to be leaving this review, as I've given it a few days for any response from my complaint, but nothing so here goes. I cane with a friend as it looks so nice and the menu sounds awesome. I was embarrassed as my meal was awful. I ordered the butter chicken with salad. The chicken was like leather- tough ajd well over cooked. The server asked if there was anything wrong with my meal, as I'd had 3 mouthfuls. I told him it was not nice and it was over cooked and I didn't like it. No apology, nothing. I also left feedback of the same thing. Again, nothing. No offer of a refund , nothing. This place has such potential but I'm afraid the service needs attention.

First time coming here, nice and relaxed atmosphere so I feel like I can take my time. Food and drink were served quick but still maintained good quality. I loved the range of continental food with something new to try with each visit. Only thing I would question are the prices which I thought were a little higher than I expected.

Food is awful had a chicken ciabatta, if you can call it that. It was breaded but flat as a pancake the most cheapest chicken burger you can buy. The lettuce was brown. I had to ask for my drink 15 mins after my friend had drunk her tea

2nd visit to Orleto at Basildon for me. The decor was funky and I loved it. Food was very reasonably priced and a large portion. Service was friendly and fast. Ordered from my table using the QR code. Lovely lunch - will definitely return - nice to have this little gem in the town.

Food and decor great. However clearing tables was very slow. Granted it was lunchtime but tables took a long time to be cleaned and cleared. I'm sure there were some customers lost because of it

Sorry to say that our recent visit to the Orleto Lounge was disappointing. We have visited previously and always had a very good experience, but this time, although the service was good, the food was a let down. Two of our party had a lounge breakfast which was not served hot, only warm and the other two meals of lounge eggs were also only warm. In fact, one was so cold it was returned to the kitchen to be replaced. Something was obviously not going well in the kitchen when we visited and this experience has made us wonder if we will visit again. Maybe it was just an off day, but as stated earlier, it was really disappointing.

Had my birthday celebration here, absolutely brilliant service from all the team. Will certainly revisit again. Thanks to Ros, Steve, Ben and all the staff there.

Love everything about this bistro. Very friendly and helpful staff, food is always so tasty. As someone who eats halal, I didnt feel like I was missing out when trying their vegetarian/vegan menu.

The staff here are amazing, welcoming, polite, this here alone makes me want to return. Plenty of vegan/vegetarian options and they make a rather delicious iced latte. Been here a few times, affordable and aesthetic in so many ways. Will be returning!

Can’t comment on food, as I walked out before ordering. Staff were slow, table was dirty and sticky, menus were covered in grease from dirty hands and this was Sunday morning breakfast time with only a handful of customers . 😬

First visit.A friend & I met for lunch in Basildon & thought we would try it out.We had to ask for a menu as one wasn't offered.Liked the idea of the games for customers use.

Great food, well worth a visit!

Music was a bit loud, and the lighting in the toilets was too low, but the food and service were good (we did use the app to order and pay). I didn't like the nasty little chipped enamel mug they served the baked beans in :(

A big no. Came here for breakfast as first time, we placed the order in the bar with this lady who looked she was still on her pj top, sat there in 7 mins breakfast was out, bread was kinda toasted fried oily looking (unsure) bacon toke me a long time to chew first bite, sausage had a horrible aftertaste, put me off of giving it an other bite, tomatoe was wrinkled like it was warmed in the sun not grilled not fried not baked,mushrooms looked like sheep drops, the egg was just about fried, the yolk was covered with uncooked egg white, beans were ok. Table was not wiped fromt he last customers probably from last night. Coffee cup had red sauce stain on the drinking side. Safe to say I physically got 3 bites of my items, because I had a strong feeling I was gona be sick eventually during the day. £27 for 2. Pictures look amazing wait till you taste it, and the money is gone and you leave with empty stomach.

The atmosphere of the area was nice but for the quality of the food and their price, it could be improved. As well as the service. We ordered a burger with salad on the side and it was served the food without the cutlery’s. I had to ask I would appreciate more improvement for future customers. As for it was a waste of time and money

Had a great time today celebrating my dad's birthday at Orleto lounge, we were a walk in table of 11 and were seated promptly and seen to by friendly members of staff. Food was delicious and atmosphere was super relaxed and lovely.. Thankyou for having us Orleto Lounge.

Really nice relaxing enviroment

So disappointing. We popped in about 4 pm ladt Wednesday, umm 4 lagers on tap only 2 were available. Told out of stock. Very pricey considering the area. Orderedsome tapas, three dishes, two undercooked. I wonder how long it will last, seems out of place. Won,t be going back. Basildon is now a food and leisure desert. 100% for effort but always the wrong mix. So disappointing!!!!!

We had a pre theatre meal and the quick and friendly service took all the stress out of eating to a deadline. The food is really good value and the space is welcoming and comfortable. Our waitress was lovely.

Honestly could be such a nice popular venue. I’ve taken many friends and family here and the food is good the coffee is great. BUT the tables are never clean. I have arrived as it opens multiple times to finds food and sticky mystery liquids on the tables and chairs from the night before. A simple improvement on cleanliness with an end of day deep clean would transform this venue.

Lovely cozy place, great drinks and amazing service from Sharon ☺️ would 100% recommend this place. Can’t believe they allow dogs too. Edit: Had a Big Lounge Breakfast and it was amazing. Very Filling!
