Ordered a takeaway. Chicken satay was processed preformed meat, out of the freezer not fresh chicken. The sweet and sour balls were TINY bit of meat in a HUGE lump of batter, sauce was orange gloop and tasteless, not sweet or sour. On the whole everything was lastless and poor quality. There was nothing special don’t waste your money.

This place has gone down hill. It was once a great Chinese takeaway but I assume it's under new management or ownership because...All the ingredients have been reduced in quality for example, the rice grains are smaller broken and therfore stodgy, the King prawns which were once big and juicy are now small and dry, the omlets are smaller AND... There is LOADS TOO MUCH SALT!!! put into everything, so much it was inedible. And most importantly the proper Chinese chips are now soggy 'fries' like from McDonald's! Such a shame!

Got there half hour ago and ordered a special curry with fried rice and it was done in 5 mins, I live seconds away so got home and the rice was sticky and abit smelly and the rest was just shocking! Dry chicken and no prawns so are the pork bits and binned the rest!!

Ordered meals missing the chicken another was missing the cashew nuts... 2 lots of sweet and sour chicken balls ordered 1 small pot of sauce to accompany them.... noone answers the phone so there is no point in complaining the food is poor quality and if they say 5o minute wait for a delivery expect it to be 2 hours l. Shame as used to be soo good now lacking any form of customer care.

The food is revolting and the lady running this place has an attitude problem. It's a shame, the rest of the staff seem nice, however it's expensive way to buy poor quality.

As Little Panda, they got my online takeaway order wrong for the third time this year and so overcharged me for what was delivered. I had to use the online ordering as their telephone number just has a message on it saying no-one can take a telephone order and even this refers to them by their old name, Oriental Star. I tried the Oriental Star telephone number also but that just rings and rings. Prices have risen but service has diminished and it is very noticeable that, even with higher prices, the actual food content such as chicken and beef has gone down. I have rung repeatedly on both numbers but can't get through. I have emailed them but no response. I had to eat some of the wrong order as I was starving after being out in the wind and rain for hours, the rest is sitting going cold. They need to send the correct order tomorrow, free of charge, or I'm just not going to order from them ever again and make it known on social media.

Possibly one of the worst Chinese takeout we have ever had. Ordered on just eat and it arrived at the the door in 22 minutes ( we live 3 miles away) All the meat within the dishes was so over cooked it was tough, the prawn balls were clearly twice cooked and tasted burnt. Crispy beef was chewy and again heated up for the order after being preciously cooked. Noodles tough meat and heated up. DONT buy from this takeout as nothing is freshly cooked and is a total waste of money. VERY POOR STANDARD OF FOOD

We have used this restaurant for many years and it has gone so down hill, the food is absolutely awful and when trying to rectify both members on the phone put the phone down and were horrendously rude! Do not order!!

I placed an order with Oriential Star on a Friday evening, after waiting 1.5hr I called them to find out an ETA. The lady I spoke to was so rude to me, telling me that they had not received my order. (It's not my fault their online booking system, doesn't work!) When the order finally arrived the vegetables in the dishes were practically raw. Horrendous customer service and I will never order from them again, never!

After a disaster on NYE with the restaurant we were entitled to double credit and tonight we enjoyed a lovely, fresh, hot Chinese from Oriental Star and it arrived 20 mins after order. My faith is redeemed 😀

Ordered food at 6.30 was told it would be delivered at 7.30 . 9pm it still hadn’t arrived so I decided to go and get it myself. I was met with a scene of total chaos and ignorance so I decided to go elsewhere. I would avoid this place like the plague

We ordered a chinese on a Saturday evening, the JustEat app said it would arrive at 18:55, and our food didn't end up turning up, the app said it had been delivered, and we did not receive it. We phoned multiple times and got the response that it was on it's way, but still no show. We then rang again, no one was answering, and we were prepared to go down to collect it considering we spent £40 on food. The food eventually showed up at 20:00, and there was no apology or explanation from the delivery driver. By this point, we were hungry and just wanted our food. An apology or some sort of refund would've sufficed. We are disappointed, as we have used this chinese takeaway many time before, and have had good service and excellent food. We appreciate that it was a busy time, but a more accurate time frame would've been better.

I would not suggest to place an order for a take away from this place, we have waited for hours for our meal to be delivered. If you call the restaurant they never pick the phone up. Please be warned.

I love the food always get something different and the staff are always so friendly. Sometime it can take some time but that is because Oriental star is so popular. Amy the person that owns the Chinese is so nice when you get to know her and is alway friendly with customers.

If I could give this place a zero I would. I called them to place an order and they said 45 mins on the phone. Great. An hour and half later the food has still not arrived. I ring them several times and it either rings out or they pick up and hang up the phone. I had already paid for the order in advance so was pretty annoyed. I took a drive down there the lady was so unapologetic and lied about it already having arrived whilst I had driven there (I called home to check). I finally drove back home and decided to put food in the oven. A further 15 mins later the food arrived and the order was wrong. The food tasted bland and so average. Will not be ordering from here again! Save your money!

Ordered a small, simple meal as couldn't be bothered to cook after long day. Wish we hadn't bothered. I had Singapore noodles, very dry and a large unknown chilli, which I swolled in error. I was on fire! Now I dont mind a hot dish, but this was something else!! Food was dry, inedible and tasteless. Over 45 mins late. So we called restaurant to let them know. Spoke to Amy, who repeatedly kept saying I'm too busy I will call you back, I have too many orders to deal with and I am on my knees here!!! Unbelievable!!! One we dont need to hear about the issues you are having, two please just listen when someone is complaining to you, dont hang up phone #customerexperience. I'm sure if we were placing an order, Amy would have been all ears. Overpriced, terrible food. Seriously dont waste your money, or put your tummy through it!! Never again Amy!!!

We ordered online with an hour delivery estimate. Two hours later after numerous calls and unanswered calls we drove to the takeaway. Clearly overwhelmed with orders, the head lady told us increasingly desperate cover stories that the food had been delivered, then it was on its way, then she'd told the driver to return as we told her we were coming to her (despite her not answering the phone so how could she have known). A simple "we have lost control, sorry" would have worked with a refund. Instead she cranked up her volume of complaints at us. Astonishing.

Don't order tofu chow faan..inedible! Chicken cashew is bland and tasteless. Discovered when we got home that there was no rice and the cashier didn't think to mention that rice is separate.

OMG! I just had a hot and sour soup, quite possibly the best I’ve ever had! I’ve ordered takeaway from Jumbo R2 about 15 times now and every dish has been super delicious. And they are always really quick to deliver and friendly too. Love this food 🥰

Ordered on deliveroo and after waiting an hour and a half, calling and being told they were understaffed with no drivers and offering to collect in return for a refunded delivery fee, I arrived to find that the store was dark, empty and up for let. The helpful employee in the OneStop next door informed me that they had been closed down and out of business for a long time. Somebody related to this store has scammed £60 out of some students. Please be careful.

We were a group of 4. Our first booking had to be cancelled due to covid but we re-booked to the following week with no problems at all. On arrival we were sat at the front of the restaurant which was very loud due to the acoustics of the room and was playing havoc with my husband's hearing aids so we asked if we could move to the back room, which was quieter. Again this was no trouble at all and we were very grateful. Our meals were fantastic and we had a really nice evening. I would thoroughly recommend and hope to return in the future.
