I placed an order on Uber eats & within minutes my order had been cancelled by the restaurant. The following morning I received an email stating that I am still being charged for my order as they had already began preparing my food, despite the cancellation not being at my request & within minutes of placing the order. Very unhappy & unsatisfied customer.

Very awful awful guy over the phon. Absolutely no one should patronize them they are terrible in dealing with customers. Ordered food nearly two hours no food delivered. Rang in to request for a refund the guy over the phone was very rude so rude hang up on me we’re in June and I’m still chasing after my refund. Very awful people shut it down if you can’t serve and be polite

This was possibly the worst takeaway I’ve ever had. Firstly said it would be 20-40 minutes, it took nearly 2 hours to arrive, during that time not one person answered the phone when we called the restaurant for an update. Secondly, the quality of the food was awful, like really bad! Not expecting the finest cuisine when ordering from here of course but when 2 starters, 2 mains and 2 rice costs just short of £50 with delivery fees I expected significantly more than what we got. There are a lot of terrible reviews for this place and there is a reoccurring theme. Really wish we would have read the reviews before ordering. I advise anyone and everyone to stay clear of this place. It is absolutely horrendous in every aspect.

First time we ordered it didn’t come and we didn’t get a refund. The second time the delivery time was poor, poor food quality and rude delivery driver. Would not recommend and we are highly disappointed overall. I couldn’t give zero stars so I will give it a 1.

I ordered meal for me and my partner as I work in hospital so no time to cook and celebrate my BIRTHDAY instead celebration I was on way back to hospital as I have ALLERGY on prawns and my spring rolls had praws in!!!! No any mentioned in menu what is inside the spring rolls. When I call them just after allergic reaction he start yelling at me you have to call ambulance. When you click on the item you can't see what is in and by the law you HAVE TO STATE WHAT IS INSIDE! Reporting to food agency as this is dangerous. ABSOLUTELY MEGA RUBISH SERVICES FROM YOU. YOU BEEN MUCH BETTER THAN THIS!!!!

I used to love this place but now the last order I got was cold,I went in today told them I had friends around for England football I worked out the total spend was £62-00 I live 2 mins away wanted it delivered they said £1-50 delivery,I know 1-50 isn't much but when I am willing to spend £62-00 you would think they would charge,plus the food has gone down hill slot portions have shrunk but prices doubled,please avoid,I ordered my meal from Chinese in Manchester city centre free delivery plus 6 bags of prawn crackers free.STAY AWAY FROM ORIENTAL PEARL,Higher Broughton,Salford.M7.

Ordered £42 worth of chinese at 18:30 with an expected delivery time of 19:40. Still no food at 20:20 so contacted just eat. Delivery time updated to 20:40. Tried to contact the restaurant on multiple occasions but the number was busy every single time. Finally got through the the restaurant at 20:45 who told us they had rang us several times to try and deliver our food but had taken it back to the shop as we did not answer....our phone number on just eat is up to date and no problem with our phone service at all - no one tried to contact us. Said that we would have to collect it from the shop if we wanted it now and they would give us prawn crackers on the house (which I thought we should have been given anyway with an order over £40!). Terrible service and from reviews can see that this exact scenario has happened before.

My partner placed an order for us for £30 worth of Chinese food, it should have been delivered at 21.00pm, messaged through just eat that it had not arrived and was told the order was being completed and would arrive at 21.25 pm, it is now 22.25pm and the food still hasnt arrived, have tried to contact the restaurant but the number rings engaged, tried to chat with just eat and we are waiting in a que of 139 people, terrible service, will not be using Oriental Pearl of Just Eat again.

We ordered from this Chinese takeaway off just eat. We have never ordered from here before. The prices are very high but was the only chinese open! We waited 2 hours and still there was no food. We had to go and pick it up from the shop which you have to go through a pub to get in :/. Our food was on the side and was third out to delivery! Good job we picked it up or we wouldnt be having any food. Also the line was busy so we couldn't ring them! Wont be ordering from here again!

I ordered food from this take away restaurant and everything was so delicious. I ordered the fallowing;Special Mixed Meet&vegetables, Chicken Chow Main Vegetable, Spring Rolls and Chicken and Sweetcorn soup; all of these was hot and really tasty + very fast delivery. Thank you Oriental Pearl, I really recommend this place

It was ok but again on a £56 order expect at least free prawn crackers and slightly better, hotter food. All seems a bit mean spirited.

Soggy chips 15 minutes late otherwise good :)

The food was ready around 10 minutes before we were due to pick it up which I guess is a good thing as they were fast with the food. I decided to get a takeaway on the way home from work, I did my a little research on the Just East website and it stated the top 5 takeaway in Manchester. I looked at the reviews and out of nearly over 1000 reviews the takeaway still attains 5/6, which is a really good to average considering there are so many reviews. The food was warm even when I travelled 7 miles to get home, and the food was lovely in theory but I have to say what put me off.. was I found three blacks in three separate dishes so that did put me off the food. Obviously I wasn’t going to return the food as I picked up from work (7 miles away) It just put a damper on the food, especially when I ordered nearly £24 worth.

Oriental Pearl gets my vote on all counts

Food arrived quickly but wasn't that great. Never seen duck that colour before. The spring rolls and chicken balls were just a lot of bubbled batter, not really for me and the ribs my husband didn't enjoy as it was a lot of grissle rather than meat. Very expensive for what it was to be fair.

Everything you want from a Chinese takeaway. Very tasty.

Food was stupid late. Had to pay driver twice - fine, its not like justeat pays them. Owner was pure attitude. Gonna stroll down to my local in future, the process was stressful. Deep fried food was consequently soggy and not worth it. I bet its alright if you get it fresh tho?!

Our usual Chinese was closed so we tried oriental Pearl. Think we may have found our new favourite Chinese. Delicious all round everyone loved it.

Great food and quick delivery. Annoying that the driver makes you collect it from him in the street rather than bring it to the door though.

I don't usually leave reviews. I've left about three in my lifetime and two have been on this takeaway. Its honestly the best Chinese food anywhere in Salford. Delicious, fast and fresh. I try to try something new with every order and I'm never disappointed. Keep up the great work guys!!

This was shocking! I have never seen a spring roll like it. It was veg in chip shop batter! The chips were cold and the noodles had a weird taste and smell to them. Won’t be ordering from here again.

first time ordering from here, I spent £37 on food at 10pm, received a notification around 10:45pm saying the food was on the way. food didn’t arrive till 11:30 - 45 minutes late!!! The delivery driver was really apologetic and told me they was a driver down. I did try to call the restaurant but no answer... food was cold & soggy after being driven around for 45 mins in a delivery car. £37 down the drain.

1 hour and a half was estimated delivery. It was late by 15 minutes which wasn’t the end of the world but the food was cold.

It took a hour and half for my order to come. The restaurant is 10 minutes from my house so didn’t expect it to take that long. I was expecting it at 8:50pm and it came at 9:30pm

Food was hot which last time I ordered it was cold so this is a plus, tasty as always although some of the salt and pepper chicken was tasteless/very dry chicken. I would still order again from here.

Salt and pepper chicken wings - there was 7, 2 had broken bones, the batter was thick and they weren't spicy Chicken chow mein (with the optional extras: cashews, chillies, mushrooms) - dry and bland, no juice, not a lot of chicken, not a lot of vegetables, the chicken was overcooked, the noodles were thin and burnt Won ton soup - salty Seaweed - small portion Curry sauce, egg fried rice and prawn crackers - average

I'm really not happy with or order today. Considering I ordered before you even opened I didn't expect or want last night's chips!! They were old, cold and poor. There wasn't a full portion of deep fried beef and I'm guessing that possibly was last night's too. Overall it was cold, definitely not fresh today. I've used this restaurant a lot and this is the worst meal I've had from you. I don't expect to pay £15 For this. You opened at 5pm and out delivery was 545 I do not expect last night's food!!!! I expect some compensation towards this!!!

Food was cold upon arrival and had to be microwaved before being eaten which was a challenge in itself. the driver was banging against the door intensely when delivering. An all round disappointing experience. Won’t be using agaun

Arrived early and in great condition, tasted wonderful and completely adhered to my instructions. only issue was the salt and pepper chips were just...chips. literally nothing applied to them, but the rest was great. would/will recommend!

Food never arrived. I ordered for my Dad who is old and does not get out much. Ive been calling and calling and no one picks up. If they can still deliver today would work but if no answers the phone what am I supposed to do?

We only ordered 5 items from the menu & after receiving the order (25 minutes late), our egg fried rice was missing. We asked the driver “is this everything”. Once opening the bag we realised, to our horror, the rice was missing and we had been lied to. My sister can only eat rice and now will starve, she is training for a 10k and needs rice to run. Emily rang and a worker answered who shouted at her because he didn’t have time for this. But he was happy to refund us for our rice which we didn’t even get... but when asking for a further discount he only offered us free prawn crackers! We didn’t even receive these free prawn crackers in the first place?! This made things worse for our hangry friend. Also, sweet and sour sauce... more like cheap chip shop vinegar. The party who ordered the rice was so hungry she’s drinking the sauce straight from the packet. (I think she’s on the liquid diet now?) Ew, gross. thanks for the refund... but never ordering from here again!!

The food was over an hour late. We had to ring several times and when it finally arrived it was time cold and missing items. We asked the restaurant for a partial refund to make up for the time and temperature of the food, however they said they would only refund us if we didn't touch any of the food and the driver came and picked it up again. The food was actually nice, once reheated, which is a real shame as I won't go here again now because the service was so poor.

Heard nothing about how the food was going to be late, when I eventually called I was told that the driver had been waiting outside for five minutes, had run the bell and then driven away. The food was sent again and arrived quickly, the driver called to say he couldn't find the house (so he clearly hadn't been the first time!) we've ordered from this restaurant before and loved it but this time the food was cold and one of the items had leaked in the bag and all over the rest of the food.

the food was only a little late but it is Chinese New Year tonight so they’ve probably got a lot of orders to get through. the food was hot and fresh when it arrived and we were more than happy with it. this was my first time ordering as my usual place has closed down and I’ll definitely order from here again. but possibly not the chicken balls (bit tough)

salt and pepper chicken was lovely, nice egg friend rice, although the whole order was on the cold side so that let down giving more stars. Delivery driver was polite, would order again and hope the cold food was a one off but if its the same next time then I wont order a 3rd time.

the worst experience ever. sunday night takeaway i usually order from wong shen but they were too busy and turned off orders so i ordered with oriental pearl. sweet and sour chicken cam and it was full of chillis. tried it and it was like eating the worlds hottest chilli. im sure sweet and sour chicken should not be spicey. anyway i rang them and they said they would bring a new one. i asked about the chips and rice but they refused to re send. the rice and chips were covered in the sauce and too hot to eat. so nearly two hours later im sat here with inedible chips and rice and sweet and sour chicken so spicey it cannot be eaten.

We always order from here and are never disappointed. It’s hard to find a good local Chinese but now we finally have it’s great. Always quick to deliver or pick up and always good quality.

It was nice. My normally place has gone so been looking for a new Chinese. I think I have found it. salt and pepper tofu was lovely and spicy, lots of chillies - tofu needed cooking more for me but I will ask next time. Egg fried rice was tasty. Garlic broccoli was perfect for me, lots garlic and flavour plus other vegetables in the mix made it a great dish. All portions big enough for me and had left overs.

delivery time amazing, service amazing, food was divine 😍 100% underestimated the portion sizes they were great value for money. The bbq ribs were amazing although not very bbq tasting, the egg fried rice was fantastic, could do with more rice to be perfect and the pork balls in sweet and sour sauce was to die for. Will be ordering a Chinese from here all the time, not interested in trying anywhere out after this stupendous quality

This is a good place to get a Chinese meal, does get busy so expect to wait, as all meals are cooked fresh.

Special chow mein was delicious the meats we're all cooked really nicely, Thai curry was unexpectedly runny but still tasty.

Great food - fantastic value. Set Meal for 4 is great and can easily feed 6. Will definitely order again!

Far too many onions in the beef szechyan, it spoilt the meal. Long stringy onions too not even cut nicely. Wasn't my best meal won't have it again. Spring rolls were a bit well done considering you'd just opened they didn't seem fresh.

How anyone rates this place as terrible I have no idea (I guess you’re more likely to leave a review if you have a bad experience). We’ve been coming here regularly for years and it’s always perfect. Delicious food, always hot and on time, none of that sloppy chicken usually served up at takeaways. Lovely staff who remember us. I used to live in Hong Kong and this is definitely among the best Chinese food I’ve found in Manchester, especially the yellow bean chicken!

I recommend the pork fried rice and chicken ginger spring onions. Chicken and sweetcorn soup was also nice but too much msg. Veg spring roll is nice, it has a batter around it which I think is not needed. Overall great food!

added 20 mins on when ordered initially then turned up an hour later than that time. Food lukewarm, didn’t bring bottle of Diet Coke. Shambles really. Won’t order from here again
