The best Oriental takeout in Brighton. Local to me so haven't used delivery but always immaculate when ordered.

food was ether re-heated or over cooked, the duck was just off cuts of fat and grizle. chucked it away and had a pot noodle instead. not happy! don't bother.

This is usually my go to Chinese always on point but the Chinese we had from you this time wasn’t great it was cold and the meats was like jelly the standards were rubbish honestly was really let down

very nice food. batter on crispy prawns tasted a little stale but the rest of the order was very nice.

Salt n Pepper chicken had fried prawn in it, which one person was allergic too. This is completely unacceptable and could have ended very badly if they were to eat the prawn without noticing. Due to this dangerous food preparation we were hesitant l to eat the rest of the meal. I would like a refund in full.

My friend ordered chicken balls ie breast meat but he said meat was from the leg and so not balls meat at all = he did not really eat many. He also said the egg fried rice was tasteless mush and did not eat it. I thought my chow mein was fine but the hot and sour soup soup was missing interesting vegetables and noodles.

Arrived super quick and the food tasted great! Sadly I was missing the drink and didn't want to bother the restaurant, but this is common around busy times. The delivery driver was rather friendly too! Many thanks!

What happened?! Whole meal was totally different to all previous meals! The beansprouts were hot/spicy when they never have been before, i couldn't eat them. The kung po chicken was lacking proper pieces of chicken. Not Happy.

Good food, fast services and easy accessibility. The Only turn off is they accept only cash and no card payments instore.However, online orders can be made but must be below a hundred pounds. I will recommend it if you are living around the neighborhood and looking for a Chinese restaurant.

Very nice student discount for very nice price. Other foods at lunch time are just as good with a very welcoming store. Boss lady and boss man run the store very well and I can’t complain in the slightest

Food was ok. Delivery driver was shouting at me and ready to fight me on arrival for not hearing the doorbell, despite the app saying the food wouldn’t arrive for another 20 minutes. Extremely unprofessional, won’t be ordering again.

Food from hell Ordered via JUSTEAT from this owe full Chinese takeaway first & last time. Had a called from their RUDEST delivery driver insisting me to go outside from my house & look for him in this rainy weather! When I told him that I can’t go out from my house as it was mentioned on just eat clearly address & direction then he threatened me to leave the food outside & go! So Shocked so I called the restaurant oriental takeaway but sadly the person I was talking to he fully supported the delivery guy & said “ it is JUST EAT policy not to deliver food to the customer door step “? Is it really ? I have been ordering foods from JUST EAT many years & all of the previous drivers came up even 4th floor without lift & received tips from me. While I was talking to the restaurant the delivery guy pressed door buzzer 5/6 times even kept holding the buzzer & I was pressing & pressing & letting him in the building. The driver came up & knock the door letter box as hard as he can when I opened the door he rudely ask “ WHY YOU DID NOT COME DOWN “ “there was no PARKING”? His attitudes did not feel safe so I took the food & shut the door immediately. Honestly it was a bad experience which I felt sick afterwards so I through away most of the food. The other thing on the menu mentioned “Thai Red curry “ but the actual colour was brown . I won’t recommend to anyone this oriental takeaway

Shocking customer service. Delivery driver shouted at me when he got to the door because i didn’t put a flat number even tho it only took my two minutes to come to the door after he called. My neighbour had to come out and ask him to stop screaming.

Delivery driver showed up unbelievably rude and actually woke up my neighbours by shouting about the fact i didn’t put my flat number. My neighbour had to come out and tell him to stop screaming. He called me when he got here and i missed it but called back straight away - I collected the order within about 3 minutes of him arriving at my house so i don’t know why he showed up with so much anger. The food was good so shame about the service.

This is honestly one of the best Chinese restaurants. We’ve had it multiple times - it’s always hot, not greasy and some of the best. I wouldn’t go anywhere else! It’s always much earlier than the time says too and always received it in 30 minutes.

We called the store and they said it would be 10mins however it was a further order

It's a fairly good take away. Has a fairly traditional menu offering all your favourites. On this occasion half the food was great though a couple of the dishes let the side down. Overall it was fine.

Oh my... wow, this was SHOCKING The sweet n sour sauce was as thick as jelly, the meat was SO bad and some of the pork pieces looked past its eating date The rice was congealed and the egg fried was so bad even the dog refused it. I will NEVER EVER EVER buy from here again.. EVER! HEALTH HAZARD!!

I was told my food would arrive 23.10-23.30. It arrived 23.30, before I was home, so it was cold and soggy. The Kung-po beef was terrible, mainly carrots with no peanuts or chillies, mainly sauce. A terrible meal.

The spring onions & cucumber was dry with the duck but otherwise very tasty

Lovely family business which incredible quick service. They offer amazing deals for students and the prices are fair for the quality. Definitely an amazing place to get a takeaway from.

Good food & portion sizes. Crispy chilli beef was nice and tasted fresh. Only critique is that the satay sauce I purchased on the side was very watery & did not taste like satay sauce at all so I wouldn’t buy that again but everything else was good and will reorder. Also arrived very fast which was great for a Saturday night.

Overall, the food was piping hot and tasted great. The ribs could have done with a bit more meat on them but other than that we thoroughly enjoyed our order. The delivery man was also a delight, we will definitely be ordering again. Thank you, Oriental Kitchen!

AVOID THIS PLACE. Food once was ok, and good value for money too. But in recent months the food hasn't been great, very poor I order delivery and every time I get it wrong the order that passes me the desire to eat and all the love I have for Chinese food. We have been using Oriental Kitchen for many years now as the food is really good , and the service is always consistent. We are based in Woodingdean which is a good 20 minute drive, but the food always arrives hot, on time and most importantly delicious. There are lots of Chinese restaurants closer to us, but we will always come back here!

Unfortunately the food wasn’t great. The chips were overcooked and cold when I got them. The sweet and sour sauce was like jello in tubs. The chicken was overcooked and dry. Quite disappointed.

AVOID THIS PLACE. The food was once okay, the lunch time student deal okay and good value too. But the last few months the food hasn’t been great. In December (2021) I had bad food poisoning from either a chowmein or some rice and had eaten at the place until recently. My partner ordered some plain rice, chips and curry sauce and since eating it has had extreme food poisoning. Bad diarrhoea and vomiting, cannot keep anything down, cannot stand up and can barely speak. Trying to call the place to speak to them about it and you can’t even get through. A report has been made to the local council to investigate because Christ knows how many other people they have poisoned if both myself and my partner have had food poisoning in the space of three months. Clearly their food hygiene rating is false. Would most definitely not recommend.

Food arrived very quickly, hot and was delicious. Been going here for years and the food has only improved each year.

I loved it. My son loved it. My secret loner thought it was ok but not as good as what I bring him in bed.
