Oriental Express in Manchester

To be honest one of the worst Chinese food orders I’ve ever had. The chicken was awful In everything but the sweet and sour chicken. Will never be ordering from these guys again

Curry sauce wasn’t nice and chicken spring rolls not as nice as they used to be

First time ordering and expected better given their rating, unfortunately disappointed by the quality of the food, particularly the chicken in the fried rice. I wouldn’t order from here again.

Never received order. 25 Pounds down the drain. Also when I try to call them I get told that they'll respond tomorrow. I will change the feedback if the food comes in the next 25 minutes.

Absolutely amazing, first time using this takeaway and can say I won't be using anywhere else now, everything was cooked perfect and the portions are huge, we still have lots left over for today!

The chips and onion rings were perfect. The Duck with Cashew nuts was a full rounded meal with a lot of Duck and vegetables perfectly cooked but needs more flavour.. a little disappointed but would order another dish.

All the chicken and duck smells and tastes like it's gone off. The "special fried rice" tastes like boiled rice with a few unflavoured meats just thrown in (no bbq pork) making the whole dish just tasteless. The previous time I ordered from here it was great but something is very wrong with this order.

really let down by food, hot and sour soup had a really funky taste really was awful and did not eat it, salt and pepper chick was not a great portion and the chicken went rock hard after 5 minutes.

Not sure if they ran out of eggs or what, but I needed a magnifying glass to find them in my foo young. Very disappointing and it's usually really good.

Horrendous 1/10. With the exception of the salt and chilli chips, everything was inedible. Pad Thai was colourless and flavourless with cheap quality meat, and the vegetable spring rolls were beyond foul - how do you make vegetables taste bad?? Will never go back. Sorry

Prawn crackers were stale. Chow mein was OK. vege spring rolls tasted awful.

Lacks flavour doesn't even taste like authentic Chinese food. Vermicelli was tasteless and only comes with chicken and shrimp. Egg fried rice has flavour but it isn't authentic at all.

First time in years I wasn’t 100% happy with the food. All ok and we ate it but just had a under taste of something else. Hopefully just a one off.

The food was inedible and we had to throw it away. It was the worst food we'd ever eaten,a waste of £25.

Tofu cooked very nicely, rice fine. The sauces though were rather bland/samey and very gloopy. The satay just tasted savoury really and like it had never been near a peanut?

The food was made very cheaply for the price they was asking and it came cold, wasnt a good experience

Good take away food, clean, and helpful staff, I would visit again and tell my friends, I buy either Duck and vegetables, or beef curry, both with rice, its very nice.

Portion size was much smaller than the last time we ordered even though we ordered large last time and extra large this time. Quite disappointed and may not order again.

The food portions for the price was terrible,,,so small...not at all value for money,food was rather bland,limited items on menu,really unhappy.i spent 40pound for about 15 pounds worth of food.

This is appalling. I’ve had my order cancelled twice and my second order hasn’t come. I’ve waiting for food for 3 hours now !!!!!

Rarely do reviews but had to for this as absolutely everything from here was incredible. Chicken sweetcorn soup made with real chunks of chicken, battered dishes weren't too oily, chicken balls were thigh not breast so lovely and tender, sauces all full of flavour. Absolutely outstanding. New favourite takeaway restaurant. A++++

Was pretty good not the best. Salt and pepper chicken was amazing but the other food was a little bit too bland!

Firstly my order was wrong , I ordered beef in black pepper and recieved beef in black bean , the chips wasn’t fresh cut potatoes but frozen chips. The food was tasteless and arrived late.

The Salt & Pepper Crispy Chicken was brilliant. I like a bit more chilli peppers normally however the taste was excellent.

Was surprised when the food came in styrofoam cartons so wasn’t expecting good food. How wrong I was. The food was delicious. Only ordered 3 dishes, but we have enough to last us for at least 2 days, not that it’s gonna last that long

I am chinese and love chinese food!

The food arrived 20 mins early. The Driver was polite and friendly.. The food was piping hot. The Salt and Pepper Chicken Wings were Incredible, well seasoning tasty, nice crispy and I like the fact that they were quite salty which I love. The Rice portion was Massive and definitely X-Large. Rice well cooked, soft, and lots of big pieces of chicken in it.. The chicken had been marinated to perfection. The drinks were ice cold as I like. Lots of Napkins and Cutlery... Overall Excellent .. To the person who cooked this perfect food for my palate Thank You So Much!

The chilli beef was pretty much just a load of soggy batter sadly, but everything else was OK.

The food was really nice and very hot but my boiled rice was missing from the meal I ordered which was mixed vegetable curry .It stated that it came with boiled rice I contacted just eat and they refunded me for the meal but I was very happy with the food none the less

Food was alright and delivered within first estimated time given. Satisfied to order again at Oriental Express.

Outstanding : 1) The Driver was polite and friendly 2) Food Arrived Hot. 3) 20 Mins Early Bad: Unfortunately when I took the food containers out of the Bag and tried to move to the counter everything fell on the floor all the food came out and hit the ground.. So was not impressed as they should have been in plastic containers or properly sealed. So I was just left with two drinks.. Contacted Just Eat who gave me a full refund.. Sad as my friend had recommended this restaurant...

Chips and curry sauce was disappointing. Hardly any curry sauce on the chips. Chips were dry. Chicken curry was OK, but i was very surprised to see mushrooms in the curry. Peas in the curry,yes, but definitely not mushrooms. Bit disappointing overall.

Spicy vermicelli was lacking in shrimp and duck also lacking in flavour very My fave dish before lockdown

The chef specials were very good, fried rice was a little on the disappointing side but a good salt and pepper mix and good sauces. It's too good to be knock off takeaway food but not quite as good as you'd get from a restaurant.

Food came after around 30min from ordering so the time wasent bad but Jesus christ I will never in my life order from here again the food I wouldent feed it to my dog
