Worst takeaway we have ever had. I would hate to see the state of the kitchen- pancake rolls(joke) chips and even prawn crackers had a vile over cooked in filthy oil taste. Just eat should be ashamed for promoting them.

Be aware when u place an order over the phone asked at every item how much it is cause they over charge you and make sure at end of the ordering asked them to repeat the orderp

It's our weekly Thursday night takeaway go to. Lady is friendly and seems to know us and our order. Food is delicious and consistent.

I ordered my meal online via website at 18.33hrs .. it didn’t arrive until 19.44hrs The salt & pepper king prawns were dry .. onions just chucked in with a few green chilli pieces, the prawns themselves coated in batter were overcooked and tasted stale as though they had been fried twice ! Very dry indeed .. Curry sauce and chips in a tray ,,, very dry and not enough curry sauce .. had to stir the chips to find the sauce ! Not impressed have to say I spent over £30 … not an ideal Friday night diner

Was just about to order but changed my mind after the reviews especially that Thai curry looks awful. This place need to fix up

overpriced & tasteless, waste of time and money.

We have ordered twice in the past 3weeks. Which is the 1st since Oriental Delight's reopening and we have had amazing food always hot and tasty. My favourite is anything with Peking Sauce on it. Love being able to order on their app and pay online so much easier. 😊👍

We made an order this evening to collect, we got home and our meal was wrong and the food was luke warm. We called to tell them the order was wrong to ask if one order could be replaced, they attempted to argue on the phone so we asked to come down for a refund, she said “okay”. When we got there she said we do not do refunds, so why she’s agreed on the phone to waste our time made no sense. She continued to tell us we were wrong and commented on how my partners fathers English isn’t good enough.(he was born and raised in the uk and we had not ordered with his family so this comment was irrelevant) we had paid £30 for this order and after 30 minutes of debating and her being rude to us she said she would do us some rice, at this point the food was cold! She said that was our issue and not hers! She continued to bring up how delivery takes 40 minutes so food wouldn’t be hot, we had not had delivery we ordered and collected ourselves. In the end we got £25 pound but this isn’t the point. The food we collected wasn’t hot, the staff were rude and we will not be ordering from here again! I suggest other people search for another Chinese to as my partners parents have been going there for years and this isn’t the first time they’ve got food wrong. Usually we would make do but half of a meal was missing!

The food and service is great. There is a lot of good choice for everyone and the food is also reasonably priced.

Marking this place down is a disappointment because the taste of the food was good but a couple details completely ignored. I ordered chicken balls, chips , roast pork curry and boiled rice. It may seem like I'm making a big deal out of it but i went in the restaurant to order so what i asked for would have been fresh in the memory. I asked them not to put peas in the curry and to swap the sweet and sour sauce with the chicken balls with BBQ both points she politely acknowledged and agreed with. When i got home in the taxi and opened my food loads of peas were in the curry and the sweet and sour sauce had not been swapped for BBQ. This is a shame because i would have marked higher. I hate peas so the 5 minutes i spent spooning out the peas was a tad frustrating lol.

Ordered a takeaway from here. The food was not freshly cooked, it was stale. The meat was tough and dry and had obviously been cooked the previous day or earlier. The meat that was supposed to be beef was dry, hard and black, never seen beef like that before. The food was not edible. Would not recommend this place or eat from here again

Food had no flavour, very bland. Crabmeat & Sweetcorn soup was sweet no savoury disliked it.

First time ordering food from this place and the food taste amazing will definitely be ordering from here again. and thanks for replacing one of my meals that came spilt in the bag.

This Chinese is always spot on. Their chicken balls are the beat you can buy along with other stuff they sell. If in the wood defo stop at this place for a take away.

VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDE NEVER GO HERE IT NEEDS SHUTTING DOWN

So I placed an order on Friday the 15th of October 2021 at bang on 5pm. I ordered 1 chicken curry 1 egg fried rice and chips. I spoke with the restaurant shortly after receiving my order as they had sent beef curry not chicken. They agreed to resend the order out at which point I clarified with the restaurant that the chips and rice were also being sent out as by the time my curry was getting there these items were now cold. 1 hr later I received my curry no rice no chips. I called the restaurant again to be put on hold 3 times and then to be shouted at and met by a very rude and aggressive women on the phone. Complaining that she now had to pay her driver 3 times to come out to us. This then resulting in her saying goodbye and hanging up on me. I called back to be told the driver was on the way and that they were far too busy to deal with me now. Absolutely disgusting customer service. Will not be eating from here again.

Horrible, had the worst food poisoning of my life. Threw up for a day straight.

Nice one ..very nice and fresh food but i'm not happy they open just sometimes..

Love their food they always give large portions, and if you actually go to the shop they have an open kitchen which is fascinating to watch them cook the food fresh whilst you wait , I would advise you to try the salt and pepper box at least once it comes with shredded chicken , chips ,spring rolls ,various fish and chicken bites it feeds two to three people very tasty.

Good portion sizes and great value for money! Helpful and friendly service too. Nice staff!

We enjoy everything I must admit the the prawn toastie let's them down. But I still score then 5 stars. The curry dish is bang on, the salt and pepper squid is to die for, their double happiness is amazing! My mouth is watering. We always go here every time. We love you oriental!!

Phoned the restaurant and spoke to a very unprofessional rude receptionist. Orderd mushroom fried rice which i have order numerous times in the past due to being vegan, never had a problem although this time food containted egg in the mushroom rice. If Egg is going to be in mushroom fried rice is should be specified on the menu other wise it is a form of false advertisement. When talking to your receptionist i told her she would be loosing a customer to which she didn't seem at all botherd and had no response verbally just signed and hung up abruptly

Lovely food, we order nearly every week. Excellent customer service. The man behind the counter who answers the phones is really friendly, and learns the orders of regular customers! Quick delivery, and the driver is friendly too.

First time eating here today. Ordered mushroom vermicelli and I was pleasantly surprised! Welcoming staff, flavourfull food and good portion size. Little greasy but I guess that should be expected from a takeaway place. Will be returning :)

I wanted to order a curry on a Sunday night for delivery and apparently they don't deliver from bearwood to Bartley green because it's to far even though they deliver every Friday or Saturday when I order

I ordered a Green Thai Chicken Curry from here. The sauce was watery and the chicken was Hard. There were no peppers or green beans. It had a bit of spiciness, which took away any flavours that there should have been. It looked like they had never made a Thai curry before, or just didn't care

The food was rubbish, rice was dry, curry to spicy, chicken balls looked pinkish in the middle and chips came Cold. Also our order was wrong and when I called up they did nothing about it. won't order from here again. The free chicken wings were the only things that were ok.

Aboulstly rubbish, been here twice now and forgot to pack complete order, 1St time I gave them the benefit of the dout. Rang up to tell them about missing order and didnt have a clue what I was on about. Food is very basic too. Never again!!!!!!

I don't understand why there are so many bad reviews. I always use Oriental Delights, their food is always tasty and the order always arrives on time with nothing missing. Thank-you Oriental Delights!

CRAP only received half of the order and told we would have to wait at least 1 hour for the other half? no compensation offered for their error as they could not read the order correctly. Don't use this place there are plenty of others. The food is not that good either rather bland!
