We had Amritsari kulchas, chana-bhatoora, mango lassi and masala teas. Everything tasted so authentic! I ended up eating another half of a kulcha just because of the taste. The servers were very pleasant. Will definitely go there again when I come to the UK/Wolverhampton.

We went recently. Place was ok. The male server was literally lazy and was so lost 😒 have no clue what he was doing. Chilli manchuria was gud, chat was ok. Nan and roti zero, curries were ok. Mango lassi was gud. Not one thing in particular attracts to go another time.

Good service & Good taste. Real taste of India.

This is a very good place to have dinner! We went on a weeknight, so it was very empty (our group was the only one), but still, our server guided us through the options very nicely. We started with the chilli soya, manchurian, dahi bhalle, and pani puri, all of which were great. We then got shahi paneer, malai kofta, and dal makhani, which all tasted very nice, but I was particularly impressed by the naan, which is something I don't often pay too much attention to. We wanted to get rice, but the server explained that since we had come quite late, the kitchen was about to close and we wouldn't be able to get rice at that time, which was understandable and he was very polite about it. The reason I have given 3 stars to the atmosphere is that the toilets are quite small and were a bit unclean. But otherwise, the atmosphere of the main hall was great, with large wall murals and nice diwali decorations. The other problem I had was with the plates, which are shaped weirdly so it is hard to eat from them - they are sort of sunk in the middle, so the part that you can actually eat from is much smaller compared to the plate's diameter - so the sabjis kept mixing. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to eat!

Food is nice. The quality of hygiene at the establishment was concerning. Used plates from our table were placed on top of clean plates and served to other customers. Furthermore, the staff did not wash their hands after cleaning the table. The food was served before the plates were provided, and drinks were forgotten entirely. When the issue was brought to the attention of the male staff member, he became argumentative instead of acknowledging the mistake.

We been there today , with my family and we ordered their speciality Amritsari Naan , although we often visit there , but this time we got extremely disappointed . The Amritsari Naan they served was too spicy so, we left the food there and complained for that . The guy on the reception denied to payback money not even apologised for the mistake . Definitely not gonna visit this place again . Pathetic experience this time .

Spend over £40 on meals. Then, after 2 hours, I was asked to leave due to the fact that the owners were watching the cctv.

Visited on a Sunday afternoon…ordered the lassi first which was disappointing..was expecting a thick punjabi lassi in steel glass but got diluted lassi in a plastic glass…then ordered the samosa chaat which was tasty and flavourful..Amritsari kulcha was alright not upto expectation..it was a bit undercooked in some parts..the chole and chutney were good though..3/5 can try once

Tasty and pure Punjabi style food

I would probably give a negative if I had to to the easily one of the worst experiences of my life .. I went in there with my wife and a 2 year old daughter for lunch only to be met with such a rude response at the front reception . It wasn’t this bad before as I be eaten here .. the food is decent however the service especially with the guy who has a tattoo on his right hand is close to ridiculously bad.. no etiquette of customer service , he will make the customer feel as though he is doing us a favour by serving us .. absolute disgrace. Avoid this place like the plague . Again this was my experience.. maybe you will like it .

Worst taste , too expensive Waste of money Think thrice before going

Visited yesterday, years after I visited their other branch with work colleagues which closed down. Ambience - not that great compared to others but I usually don't mind it as far as food is to my liking. Food - spicy for us, but kids managed to still eat it. Had better food elsewhere, but can't complain much, worth the price. Service - was quick, but also the reason of the rating. Ordered all food with Masala chai that we asked to bring out before food. Food started coming out, 2/4 first served with no sign of chai. When asked got told its getting prepared and on the way. Few minutes later 3rd dish arrives and still no sign of chai, at which point I asked the young waitress to cancel it. We continued with food, last dish served and we ate all. Worth mentioning that when repeating our order, she even read out that the masala chai was before all the food. Whilst paying I was told 'cash only' which yes was displayed but also whilst entering I saw the card sign saying 'dojo', contactless etc. Same girl insisted on cash and when I mentioned the sign she said she doesn't know about it. I was making my way out to get cash when she asked how much cash I had and see if she could 'adjust' . Miraculously a card machine appears after calculating the difference which I pay and we leave. In summary, no chai on time for this chai lover and little cash/ card trick attempted on customer. Waste of an evening which I insisted on eating out when wife was happy to spend it at home. PS - I got charged for the chai and I politely paid to get out of there as quickly as I could.

Very tiny portion and over priced

Great tasting authentic Punjabi food. The Amritsari Kulcha and Malai Chaap are top-notch. Lassi & Gulab Jamun are great too. The starters I feel are a bit overpriced, but everything else is very reasonable. I wish some of the veg dishes such as Aloo Gobhi and Matar Paneer had less oil.

They tried to make it look a dhaba . I would say the place justified the dhaba feel. Water served in steel glasses, cot to seat, etc. even the toilet was no good than a dhaba. Food was okay or good for 1 time. Chile bhature and kulcha were good I didn't like the Soya chilli chaap. To find Parking is difficult

Had a great lunch here, service was upfront in saying what the place was about. This is a no-nonsense place, you have come here to have food - you shall have the best quality food that one can expect from a dhaba style place. Dhaba food is usually not for everyone. Decor is functional and clean, the service is frank and not over promising. To the exceptional part, the food - piping hot and spicy as one can expect from an Indian cuisine for the average Indian palate. We ordered the Amritsari Kulcha, Chole bature and Naan with additional sides of Shahi Paneer and Sarson ka saag. Could not fault anything ordered. Went out a happy customer, happier to say will go again and again.

ALERT 🚨 🚨🚨 AVOID VISITING THIS RESTAURANT 🚨🚨🚨 🚨....WORST EVER RESTAURANT...🚨 This is one of the worst restaurants I ever visited in England, food quality was really worse. We ordered Amritsari kulcha and veg Manchurian and panner chilli. In veg Manchurian which costed around 8£ we only got fours piece of veg Manchurian, portion size was really poor compared to prize and ambience. When we asked restaurant staff about portions, he shameless told us this is the only portions size we server. Panner chilli, Kulcha and cholle was also tasteless, no flavour at all in food. Ambience and cleanliness was also really poor and they only take cash.

Being a Amritsari, I would highly recommend to everyone who want to take real taste of Punjabi food like Amritsari kulcha, Nutri kulcha and Dal Makhani and Mithi Lassi and so on and also indo Chinese food like Manchurian, Noodles etc. Just visit Golu Da Dhaba.

This is the only one best food outlet in all over England which we can say that we will come again and again to eat. The best restaurant in Birmingham city especially for punjabies. Food is good but they lie about not taking card payments. I asked over the phone and they said cash payments only so i had to go out of my way to get the cash out and when i got there i was short like 1 pound and the guy was like we can take card payments and brings out the card machine underneath the counter

The 1 member of staff that served us was lovely and I can't fault her. All good experiences depend alot on the staff too. The Amritsari Kulcha was lovely when I was eating it, after about an hour I was feeling bit sick. My husband had naan and malai kofta and he also felt bit uneasy after a short time. The chips were £3.50 for cheap thin fries overcooked. Unfortunately this place let me down alot. The toilets were disgusting. I understand times are hard and it's hard for all small businesses at the moment, but paying attention to small details will help. Unfortunately I would not visit this place again.
