Nicely designed restaurant with a good car park. A good menu serving the usual restaurant/takeaway away favourites. If you want to try the ultra authentic Chinese dishes then you should ask the staff for the Chinese menu. Such cool things as Casserole, beef brisket, tripe, frogs legs, crispy pork belly and many more. But I wish they had green ginger scallion sauce available as condiment. Fair prices. Good portion. Take away containers easily available. Dim Sum available at lunch/day time, not at night. Staff are friendly and efficient. 5 star.

Only ordered for delivery once from them so can’t say for sure this painful experience is reflective of their usual quality. But I guess I’ll never find out. I was weirdly angry when I saw the food I ordered. Utterly outrageous, on every front, from taste, quality of ingredients, to presentation. Deep fried wanton is not wanton at all. Just deep fried folded flat dough with some stale unrecognisable flat stuffing. Sautéed scallop is not sautéed at all, just some over flavoured frozen scallop oddly soaked in salty pak Choi soup. It should be a crime to sell anyone this kind of ‘food’

I've been going here for years, and the food is always great. Love their dim sum menu with loads of choice and love their char siu chow mein and the lamb black pepper dish 😍

We went for Dim Sum which was all very tasty. Particularly loved the wonton and the bao buns which were delicious. Very good service. All very clean and friendly. Would definitely love to go again and highly recommend it. Was so happy to get a second visit here when I was in Leeds. The food is still just as tasty and prices very reasonable.

Improved so much!! Food and service is great. They’re parking downstairs and you can grab some Chinese groceries whilst there.

Waited over 50 mins just for the starters (after chasing twice!) even though the restaurant was only about half full. We saw 3 groups of people arrive AFTER we’d ordered and they got their food BEFORE us! One of our mains arrived well after the rest - we’d pretty much finished everything, and again, we had to chase it up. Only got quick verbal apology for all this. Manager blamed it on the kitchen, Front of house blamed it on the manager, Waiter blamed it on being ‘the restaurant being too busy’ - hopefully this review will help alleviate that problem for him. Only reason I’ve not left 1 star is that the food, when it actually arrived, was good

Been twice now and I'm pretty sure we'll be going more than twice more. Very friendly attentive staff, with none of the rush that happens in other establishments. The restaurant was very clean with pleanty of room on the tables for your food. HOT plates which made a pleasant change, the menu was well presented and had so much on it that it may be an idea to check on line first to save time. The food was delicious and was the equal of any other chinese including take away ( which they do). To summarise - my now "first choice go to" restaurant in leeds. One last thing, the car park and the surrounding streets get very busy.

The food was overall mediocre. But this was nothing compared to the rudest staff we have ever come across. She was an older woman with short purplish hair. We had booked a table online but she said this was not in her book where bookings were written down by her. She basically said online bookings do not work when she is concerned. If this online system does not work then do remove it from your website!! When she repeated the time of our booking, she muttered under her breath "I can hear!". We are appalled at her rudeness, the management should look into her behaviour. We will definitely not be returning to Oriental City again and will warn our family and friends to avoid this place. Such rudeness should not be tolerated. We do not pay you to be insulted!!

Given a warm welcome, seated quickly and the waiter took time to talk us through the dim sum menu and make recommendations. The food arrived quickly was fresh and tasted great. The dim sum was a good option.

Celebrations for daughters birthday. Food ok, but service poor. Miserable waiter asked in a rude tone if we had a birthday cake. This is despite me providing one discreetly on arrival to another member of staff. He then said if you haven't got one, we don't have one. I told him yes, but it was a surprise, but he just scowled and walked off. The cake was eventually brought in its box with candles with no happy birthday music playing as we were promised.

They can't even bring three meals at the same time had to wait 25 minutes.in between my meal and my wife and Daughters then the waitress saying they was on there way But my Wife and Daughter had walked out by this time If you are Chinese you will get served FIRST

Great family dinner, really good food! The service was a little slow but we really enjoyed the dumplings and spring rolls.

Delicious and authentic dishes including a wide range of dim sum.. Friendly, efficent and prompt service... Worth the 10 - 15 min walk away from the town centre.. Attached to a cash and carry so you can pick up ingredients on the way out!

The food was pretty good, the people I was with said it's normally better but it was still nice food. The service was pretty bad we kept having to ask for things multiple times as they seemed to have forgotten. Dim sum isn't always available.

Food is not too bad. Got a parking ticket with my meal though. I was parked at their car park, but there is a 1 hour stay limit. It is unreasonable to expect our family to finish our meal out in an hour.

Great Chinese restaurant, one of the best of its class

Visited today for Sunday dimsum also had crispy roast belly pork, duck Cantonese crispy noodles and veg as main and it was all delicious. Dim sum was fantastic best I have ever eaten. Service was fast, efficient and very friendly. The atmosphere was brilliant lots of families, couples and people on their own enjoying lovely food. Was my first visit here but will be visiting every time we are in Leeds.

A really nice local restaurant close to town and with its own parking area too! Great for banquet dinners and dim sum lunches. Highly recommend, the cash & carry downstairs is also great for grabbing much needed Asian supplies.

Every dish was too salty for me, especially the peking duck that was soaked in soy sauce ☹️ which was a shame because the way it’s made was perfect for my taste.

Attended with 4 of us. Seated quick then left for about half hour. Finally ordered drinks with one server and food with another I ordered special fried rice asked what it came with 'everything ' assuming duck and so in. All 4 meals were boiled bland meat with not even a hint of salt and pepper. We used half a bottle of soy sauce between us trying to liven it up. When servers came I didn't even take my leftovers home but did mention the food 'does your chef use seasonings like salt and pepper' the response ' people don't like it' no apologies or care. Bill for 4 was £140! Absolutely disgusting please see pics and avoid at all cost

The atmosphere was really beautiful and calm and I was pleasant surprise to know that they perform weddings at the venue which was really beautiful and the staff were super friendly and accommodating.

Great oriental supermarket. Has everything you need for Chinese cooking. The restaurant above is fantastic also. We go all the time and love it.

Been going here for years, quality is mostly excellent. Some dishes a bit hit and miss - depends on what chef they have on the night. A bit pricy for some things but overall decent value.

This has to be the best dine in Chinese restaurants I've ever been to. The restaurant itself is stunning, the layout and decor is 2nd to none. The staff were all very friendly and polite and the food was out of this world. Loved every bit of it, so tasty and plenty of it. I work these ways a lot so I can safely say.... The food is good... Parking is a hit and miss.

Food is always fresh tasty and quite frankly brilliant whether take-out on sitting in, if I had four thumb's it would get four thumbs-up 👍🏾 Just had a special family meal and they made teddy bear 🐻 ice cubes for the kids, even I was jealous!!

Great dim sum experience. On Sunday lunch, it was very busy. Personally I really enjoyed pork pastry!! The spacious restaurant. However, the parking space is limited.

Made a booking to dine here due to it coming up as halal from reviews. On double checking on arrival I was told the chicken is halal only but it is cooked in the same wok as the pork and other dishes. Thank you for your honesty and understanding on having to then cancel.

Best sweet and sour ever. Dim sum on a Sunday is a worth wild experience. Staff friendly and the service is spot on. Reminds me of my times in Hong Hong.

Nostalgic, like in the 1980s, only without push carts of dim sum. It has a stage with the Chinese wedding character too. Food is authentic, direct service which some might think it rude but that's just their being straightforward. Price is reasonable. We enjoyed our visit totally because it's kind of entertaining.

This is the worst Chinese food I have ever tasted. Ordered sweet and sour chicken but there was about 3 pieces of chicken. The rest was pineapple. Ordered chips and they were cold mushy tasteless bits of soggy potato. The chicken in black bean sauce was chewy and tasted stale and the noodles rice was tasteless. Would not recommend and will not be going back. The whole lot went in the bin !!

Dimsum is not as good as other Chinese restaurant, but still ok. And u can go to shop at the nearby Chinese supermarket afterward

Came out with friends the food was fantastic the starters to the mains wow. Beef chow main with soft noodles / chilli prawns again wow can’t say enough about the place or the staff. Will deffo be coming back

Proper authentic Halal Chinese food. Been a regular visitor for 3 years. If you visiting first time Try. Salt n pepper wings. Salt n pepper prawns. Vegetable spring rolls Chicken with cashew nuts With egg fried rice.

Came here with friends, great food, the staff Frankie was so helpful. The food we had was well let’s say it was finger licking. From the starters to the mains.

We was so disappointed about the staff customer service..(a woman and short hair) Food was good, everything was fine until paying the bill. This restaurant is next to a Chinese supermarket/warehouse with parking. It was nice to see Chinese families eating at this eatery. Opted for a pot of Chinese tea, spring rolls and salt and pepper squid to start. For the mains steak in black bean sauce and duck in orange sauce with rice. The duck was a bit too fatty for my liking but the rest was tasty. Overall price was £52.00

A couple of the group were vegetarian so we all choose vegetarian hot and sour soup for starters. The starters took 45 min to arrive. One of the group thought it contain meat so called the waiter and to our horror we were told the soup we had been served contained PORK and apologised for the error. Eating PORK is unacceptable for Muslims and eating MEAT is unacceptable to vegetarians. We should have got up and left at that stage, but stayed on and it took another 45 mins to get the mains. There is a real issue with any restaurant where incorrect food is served. We will never visit this place again and I wanted to share the bad service we received.

The best thing is that the food is authentic cooking, quick service and always plenty to choose from. Decoration could be better, not been updated for a while I guess , but let's face it , the food is the main reason to go. Prices have increased but still a nice place to go for dim sum and regular meals. Plenty of seating although can get busy...the worst part is the parking! Always full and never any spaces, end up parking all over the place and could do with an overflow carpark as the restaurant is directly above the supermarket wholesalers which is very very busy all the time. If you want authentic quality eating then definitely go but pick your time as the parking is frustrating. Lovely food.

This has to be the worst restaurant you experience in the UK, in my perspective as a previous waiter there. Zero Tips (of course all of them goes to the owner), Long hours of work (9 to 10 hours per day), all part time workers are below the minimum salary, with minimum salary of 5 pounds to maximum of 8 pounds in 2022. Due to a staffing shortage, the work is occasionally overloaded. yet the food...

Got food poisoning in bed for 2 days and £55 for the privilege will not be eating here again.

Great Chinese restaurant for Hong Kong style… Dim sum is reasonable price and very good quality. Stir fired noodle with X.O sauces and scallops is VERY GOOD. Meat combo is excellent choice as well… Overall, it is my #1 choice in Leeds!

Nice restaurant, good food, fast service.

Overall it was OK in a simple sense. To pay £7-£8 odd that felt like froozen starters ....I didn't like that. I don't think I'll be rushing back soon.

These guys are way in over their heads i orderd on 8th November in evening barbecue spare ribs where nice but food was cold we also ordered the fried soft noodleswith bean sprout one word COLD COLD COLD! And we found silk black long hair follicle in the bag of food

Food is superb, traditional and quick service. Staff friendly and you can usually get a table but at busy times do plan ahead. Restaurant over a supermarket so you can shop as well. There is also a bakery and you can even buy live lobsters if you wish. Only negative is the parking which at busy times is a nightmare, very small car park which feeds both the supermarket and restaurant. The company has a large commercial warehouse opposite the restaurant and supermarket which is for back up stock and deliveries. Would recommend that they open up a section of the carpark here if possible as an overflow provision, would make the whole experience then 5 star. Great place for shopping for food, stock for your business and earing quality authentic food in the oriental restaurant.

Great food, excellent atmosphere and friendly customer service that actually talks you through the menu and suggests dishes, based on your likes and dislikes. People might say that decor needs updating but that’s actually the USP of this place as it adds to the authenticity of this place.

Food great but service terrible

Really lovely first impression as we walked in for lunch today Saturday. We were served very quickly and the lady who took our order was very accommodating because we wanted lots of appetisers to share. We picked eight of these from the menu and were all great except the shredded duck with lettuce which was not to our liking. The appetisers were all well presented and value for money. We would definitely visit again when we are next in Leeds
