Oriental Chef in Nottingham

Estimated delivery time was between 7:35-7:55pm however after getting a notification to say it was out for delivery, between these times it turned up around 8:20! Food was ok, portion of prawn crackers was very small and we usually share. Some of the dishes we ordered were really good! However the chips we received were three quarters the bottom of the bag type and only one quarter edible ones. If it wasn’t for the delivery time being so late then I would have ordered from them again soon!

i had the duck, but it was pretty dry or just complete crisps there weren't many piece of duck with a crispy exterior. given the price it was very disappointing. delivery was great

Shocking delivery service. Kept ringing and told out for delivery but just under an hour late. Food cold as well. Hadn’t used them for a while due to poor service but noticed reviews had picked up. So tried again but won’t be bothering again,

Food arrived piping hot and very tasty. Large portions but the chips could have been better. Despite the chips ony being a 8/10 I still highly recommend.

The best Chinese, we love the variety seriously they're so different to others. Arrived quick and was piping hot. Tasty fresh and quick. The cornflake tart was amazing as well.

Absolutely fabulous food and was very quick, every single dish we order around 23 dishes was all spot on from the Udon to the crispy cauliflower and duck. Our party of 7 couldn’t fault anything, service was great with additional freebies. You can’t go wrong, also definitely take advantage of the 50% offer!

As a considered connoisseur of chinese takeaway food my opinion is, delivery was late compared to what just eat say but food was of excellent quality and hot and obviously fresh. I don't mind extended delivery from a obviously busy takeaway as long as the food is of good quality which this was, complements to the chef. Sweet and sour sauce was too vingerery but apart from that everything was of excellent quality. will definitely be ordering again

Delicious food at one of their off site events for students. I would highly recommend their vegetarian options as had lots of flavour! All staff were lovely too

I think they may have had an off night. The food was awful, like barely edible awful. The only reason we ate it is because we were starving. The chips tasted like they had been re-heated but were cold, the chicken balls were cold and tasteless and powdery, the rice didn’t arrive. Unusually poor service. We will go back but if we get this service again we won’t be.

Avoid like the plague. My husband has been up all night throwing his guts up after having prawns from here. Needless to say we won't be ordering again or recommending to anyone else.

Food was ordered and given a time of 194-2010, which was 50 mins from the time of ordering. It is now 2045 and no food has arrived, after the restaurant saying 20 mins at 2015. Called the restaurant and they said there is nothing they can do to help us as the food has apparently left their restaurant and they don’t know who has our food. This is atrocious service. We understand with the bad weather, which we’d understand if this was the reason but no reason was given for the lateness and no food

Food was lukewarm. Very few pieces of chicken in the dish. Duck was extremely fatty. Such a shame as I only have had positive experiences in the past.

Me and my wife have come down with food poisening due to this take away last night. We had nothing to eat yesterday apart from this food so it is evident this is the cause. We have both had to take the day off work. Will never order from here again.

ordered for 7pm I literally pulled up on my drive after a long day at work and the delivery man pulled up behind me. service 100 percent and food was delicious and hit the spot give the delivery driver a thanks from me and also the chef xx

Ordered our food, was sent sweet and sour when we ordered chicken satay. Tried telling us it was in fact chicken satay when I clearly isn’t. Refused to change the order or do anything about it. Very poor customer service. Not the first time we have had poor service from here either. We will not be returning!!!

Our order arrived only to find it wasn’t what we’d ordered our King Prawn curry arrived as prawn noodles!!! I rang the restaurant who did apologise and said they’d send the correct food immediately. 25 minutes later the curry arrived and it was awful. It wasn’t King Prawns it was shrimps and it was so watery and bland. Not somewhere I’ll order from again

Unfortunately the late delivery meant that the food was cold and lacking flavour. I genuinely didn’t enjoy my food despite being really hungry and looking forward to it.

over a hour oate ..food was so cold i had to try and re heat it .. but then it tasted weird .. and driver person was very rude when asked why so late

Been going here for many years and it’s always been so nice . Unfortunately the spring rolls were hot on the outside and cold in the middle . Didn’t have time to take this back . Salt pepper chips were next level though - truly awesome

delivery over an hour late. whenci rang the resturant their response was nothing they can do. Asked for a refund and was told only the manager can authorise it, asked to speak to the manger and was told he wasnt in. attitude of the staff and resturant disgusting. Food was cold when arrived, would give 0 stars if possible.

Yesterdays leftovers reheated, dry chips, hard meat, warm nkt freshly cooked, 44 minutes late, order at 5pm so it should have been a freshly cooked meal. Special fried rice missing from the bag. Awful, wouldnt recommended, i would rate it ZERO!

Decided to pick up a Beef Chowmein. First time ordering food from this local takeaway. There were around 6 staff cooking so I thought the single dish I ordered would be delicious. How wrong was I. The beef tasted boiled and had gristle. It smelled. The noodles were luke warm with a scattering of sliced onions and bean sprouts. I couldn't eat it and binned the whole lot. I am never setting foot in this takeaway. What a waste of money.

Worse food ever, cold, greasy, the chips were horrendous. Greasy scrappy bits, rice had no egg in it, chicken balls were dry inside, curry was greasy too - wish we had not of ordered

The crispy duck was under cooked , tasteless & not crispy . The salt & pepper hash browns weren’t even cooked. The crispy honey sesame beef was way over cooked couldn’t even get my fork through it! Even the pot of curry sauce had started to goto jelly. Never had such a horrid takeaway in my life.

on a plus side they did keep me up dated but when you have children waiting an hour in first place then to wait another 40mins wasn't impressed. Also food was very bland, tasteless and the beef in curry was fatty/ chewy.

AVOID!! food was late 2 hours to be precise chicken is still pink and not cooked all cold too!! WOULD NOT SPEND £1 IF OFFERED THE WHOLE MENU!

Our usual takeaway was closed so tried these. Was a good swap and will definatly use again.

Food hit and miss, first time, very good, second time rather disappointing and tasted like unseasoned, burnt, oil. Hopefully they can improve the consistency but doubt we'll order again to confirm.

I ordered salt and pepper chicken for my partner in which we were delivered a combo of chicken and salt and pepper squid when she is allergic to fish! therefore my partner was very unwell due to this and a complaint has been made - No refund yet given. Dangerous error and is not acceptable.

Just Eat asked me if I'd like some money back to compensate for the late delivery, but the restaurant declined. I won't be using them again as its not the first time they have been late for delivery. plenty of other places to get food from.

I was very disappointed as my order hadn't been packaged properly or the packaging had come undone during transit. when it arrived it had all tipped into the carrier bag.Never had this happen before from this restaurant and the food is normally beautiful . Don't no what happened on this occasion but would like a refund .

Lovely food, and delivery on time.

I ordered my food just before 7pm, the first delivery time was 7:40. It then changed to 8:05-8:25. It didn’t arrive until 8:45. My food was barely warm. I didn’t enjoy the food itself, it was just flavourless. I also didn’t get my free prawn crackers. All in all it was the worst Chinese I’ve had in a long time. Won’t be eating from here again!

original delivery time was scheduled for 20.00-20.10. at 20.15 I got a texted to say it was running late and would arrived between 20.20 and 20.40. it arrives at 20.50.

it was late but it was so worth the wait. bao buns were so soft and the chicken in it was crispy with tasty sauce. honestly ordering from here again. previously had their honey sesame chicken as well which was amazing
