Food is good but really bad service

Chapati Junction Nottingham Not bothered about missing items! 942534194 I ordered my food with a bottle of coke through uber eats. Unfortunately when the delivery driver came to the door he knew nothing about it and was not given the bottle. I rang the shop, to which I was told I should not have used uber eats to order food if I do not want any items to go missing. They then proceeded to tell me I could have the paid for bottle on my next order! They were not willing to get someone to drop it off. They told me to ring and order through them directly next time to avoid it happening again.

Been going to this place for many years, nice curry in a hurry.... 🔟 score for sure....highly recommended

My partner came to buy food, my partner said chicken meat WITH CHIPS! but one of the man served him with wrap. My partner said no I asked for chips not that wrap. And the man working said no u have to pay for this as it's done... How rude... Now he won't ever serve my man unless he apologies to man working. We are like NO. cause he is the one that made a mistake.. we are the one paying so would like what we ordered... The man made a mistake so why are we the one to suffer... Very bad and rude... We come there because food is good. But this man is very rude... And want to fight... Never again!!!! We have been coming for many many years... And never had a problem. Just because of this rude old man with wrong pride. Now we will never ever gonna buy from them... Rudder service. There better and nicer service people nearby we will go there instead here..

Had a lamb curry with naan bread and samosas. Shared with my Indian friend. The food was delicious and one of the tastiest curries we have had outside home. The service was excellent and the bloke who served was really friendly.

Lovely place. Food was ready in 10 mins. Was so fresh and really tasty. Beats KFC any day! Really good value for money too.

Honestly the BEST onion bhajis in ALL of Nottingham which makes them a contender for the best in the country the place has been a family favourite for years and everyone we ever brought here loves it and lovely service to boot Notice how none of the bad reviews mention the curries or other Asian dishes. Don't go to the best Indian for pizza and chips 😉

The food was good but I believe there are restaurants who serve the same food a bit cheaper. But the food was good.

I paid £200 for food for party the main lamb and chicken curry was the size portion of a thumb nail .. I was so ashamed to put this in front of my guest but as no Choice. I know food prices have gone up quoted by manager but he should have told me that I was gonna be given a thumb size portions for my guest? then I would have shopped elsewhere. This is Sad as I used him before and he gave me decent pieces of meat back then…. #greed does not make you happy makes you lose loyal customers.

Not recommended. Ordered pizza and during eating realised chicken was over cooked also burnt and base bread was so old that it caused a smell in complete pizza. Strongly not recommended.

Me and my friend bought food here yesterday. A total of £25. Within hours He was vomiting And so was I. The curry was greasy, greasy and very oil. Unless you want an upset stomach, AVOID!

I ordered from Uber eats I had 3 kebabs and 2 chips I wrote in the notes for all sauces to be separate pots. Every item was covered in sauce with missing salad items. When I rang to ask for fresh food they told me it's Ubers fault even though they could see what I had put in the notes threw every thing away horrible food and horrible customer service!

Everything on our order was wrong I put in the notes all sauce for kebab and chips in tubs separate every item was covered in sauce. My whole kebab just tasted of chilli and ordered all salad on one which came with just lettuce and cucumber. When I rang they basically told me it's Ubers fault even though he could see I had written sauce in tubs. Whole meal ruined will never go back.

To expensive poor quality poor service

I ordered food from here. But in specific I ordered 4 chapti's. When I get home I only see 2, so as I returned to the shop I told them and the staff member at the front said to his colleague 'make 2 more chapti's'. I had to ask him for 4 fresh ones as the 2 he gave me had gone really cold. Very poor service. Will not be returning

Had the chicken curry and a Samosa. The chicken curry was awfull. No good taste at all, or grease (not even oil) which is hard to do in a chicken curry. Terrible

I have bought some food from there yesterday and it tasted terrible reheated pakora's and samosas and takes cash only!!! Had to go all the way to Asda to get cash. That was my 1st time there and last for sure. Please dont sell reheated food as you are risking people health.

Great tasty food, we ordered tandoori fish with naan and salad £5, lamb sheesh kebab with naan and salad £6, lamb curry with 2 rotis £5 and kasmiri tea. All excellent, fresh and tasty, authentic lahori/pakistani food. Guys behind the counter where friendly and helpful. Great value for money. We will be returning.

Asked if I would get and extras for the inconvenience I was told no.. Havent got a clue about customer service.. To make things worse i paid £20 for the meal...

3 times I came to buy chiken briyani, for £ 3.95 and get 1 small can of Pepsi for free, and today a different waiter raised the price of £ 5 pounds without free Pepsi, even though it wasn't a promo, that's a sure thing, I certainly won't be back.... I said to your waiter from the beginning, Chiken Briyani was small, why did he give me a large size, and obviously he didn't give me Pepsi, maybe he thought because I was a new customer, even though in 3 days I always came..

Sold me a stale doner kebab. Instantly after eating had a rumming tummy. My husband didnt even eat thr rest of the extremely oil food and stale samusas. I could give zero stars if possible. Watch out for stale food.

Unclean Premises - When we arrived at Chapati Junction, all the tables were stained with food, many with plates and food debris still remaining. We sat at a dirty table but the staff made no effort to clean it until being explicitly asked. Improper food handling - the staff member on duty conducted a call on his mobile phone while simultaneously preparing our food. Food only partially heated - We ordered 2 veg samosas followed by 2 vegetable curries with rice. The potatoes were warm on the outside but still cold in the middle. The overall temperature of the food was tepid, lukewarm. The food had been partially heated by microwave into the ‘danger zone’ but had not been heated thoroughly. When this was raised with the staff on duty (as soon as we could get to the counter after another customer had ordered), we were told that the food wasn’t heated thoroughly because “some people don’t like it too hot”. Hair in food - there was a thick, grey hair in the food, matching the exact length and colour hair of the staff member who prepared it. Aggressive staff - When questioned about the hair, the staff member became aggressive and told us it was a slice of onion. Forced Payment - In light of all the issues above, we did not feel safe eating at Chapati Junction and tried to negotiate a partial payment, i.e. we would pay for the samosas which were fine, but not the unclean, lukewarm mains. The staff member continued to be aggressive and told us we were trying to “rip him off”, so we paid in full and left.

Curries were absolutely tasteless and expensive too

Was here a few days ago. Bought roast chicken which was fresh however the upper half of the chicken seemed to be reheated and the legs seemed to be fresh. The chapattis were fresh @ £1 for 3. No drinking water was available. The atmosphere was crowded and it felt uneasy.

I love the food here .the kebabs are cooked in front of you everything is fresh the portions are plenty big enough and the home made samosa are amazing. The only downside is you can't order online .you can pay cash or on card .

Have used this take away over a number of years and it is slowly going down hill. Don't get me wrong the quality of the food is good and the price is great - but it needs a new injection on the menu. It seems to be catering more towards the locals and their pocket rather than trying to attract a better crowd. That's not a knock at the management if there happy with this then good luck to them.

Had eaten from here before (chicken kebab .. was great) This time we opted for the curry and took it home, in 1 biye we both suffered salt burn to the mouth, it was so high we couldn't taste anything for over a day and swore mouth for a couple of hours. To this very day I wished I'd sent to the relevant authorities for testing as it would have hospitalised someone.

It's a take-a-way, but you can eat-in if your prefer. They have recently updated there chairs and tables so it's a lot more comfortable now. The food is always good, I usually have masala fish (no bones) on nan or fries with salad and a free drink, and they never disappoint. My partner usually has char-grilled spicy chicken (1/2 a chicken) with fries and a free drink.

I love this place, it's basic and doesn't pretend to be anything else. We pop in here for snacks and the pakoras and samosas are fantastic, good size and great value for money. The service is quick, the food is good and it's a great fast food sit down place to eat. I'm tempted every time I drive past. And you can park outside.

I was forewarned before I ate here but I like to have my own opinion based on my own experience. Anyway the place itself doesn't look too bad inside and the staff seemed friendly enough. There was only one other customer in at that time which normally is not a good sign. I decided to order anyway and received my food pretty soon after I ordered. I ordered the mix grill and a chicken curry. Both dishes lacked flavour and taste. Don't get me wrong it didn't taste bad just had no taste at all. I would advise if eating here go for the safer option like a burger as they usually are the same in most takeaways.

From the outside, the restaurant looks decent especially located in the most popular part of Hyson Green with the tram line 1/2 opposite and the Halal Asda opposite. We entered and it reminded me of the café/ restaurants that you get in India / Pakistan, which is a good thing. The staff were very friendly but the food lacked any taste, and was very poor. Will not re-visit but every person has his/her own taste, so perhaps you may enjoy it
