This is the worse Chinese takeaway I’ve ever went to! First I asked the man if the peppercorn chips come with onions, chilli flakes and peppers (like other chineses do) as I was craving them. he said yes, yes, yes. It was a lie to get our customer service. The curry sauce was watery and tasteless. Worse then what you could have made at home blindfolded! The peppercorn chips had a few chilli’s threw on top and nothing else, at all! Paid extra for a normal tasteless portion of chips. The happy meal seemed like a good deal until we received the food, the crispy chicken wasn’t crispy and had no flavour, the egg fried rice tasted plain and all over the food was terrible and tasteless. When I got home and noticed the chips I did ring the takeaway and asked the man why he lied about the chips, he said he never said they came with peppers and onions, there was 3 witnesses. And that was the first thing I asked him as I was craving the chips and would have went else where if he had said no. He did offer 5 pounds off the next order, which will NEVER get used as I will not be coming here again. I purchased the food on Saturday, it has been 2 days and I am still upset thinking about how tasteless the food was and the money I have wasted on this place that evening. Please do not waste your tastebuds and please do not risk putting on weight for this takeaway😭 Please do not waste your money.

terrible , didn’t even fully refund me for the mess of an order and it took OVER A WEEK for me to get half a refund, kept telling me to call the next day, lack of communication with staff, absolutely terrible, food not cooked well at all, black bits everywhere , absolute rubbish do not order from here !!!

Best halal Chinese in Nottingham, well the only real halal Chinese in Nottingham, never had any issues with the food and it always gets delivered fast and hot, highly recommend. I would recommend any of the combo boxes.

called in Saturday 12 ish, food was bland,the man on the till not very good, by the time he sorted a girl out in front of us the food was not that hot, not good value for money,don’t think I will be rushing back,

Found this Chinese takeaway whilst randomly searching for a 100% halal takeaway. After endlessly looking for somewhere that doesn’t have the issue of cross contamination between halal/non halal meat finally we’ve found what will be our go to Chinese takeaway! Travelled all the way from Leicester for this and it certainly did not disappoint. The food was all authentic and actually still hot when we brought it back home. Would really recommend this shop, especially if you’re looking for somewhere 100% halal! We had the chicken chow mein, lemon chicken, sweet and sour chicken balls, veg fried rice, crispy prawns in garlic chilli sauce, duck pancakes, salt and pepper chicken chips and curry sauce. Would definitely recommend everything!

Nice food. Unfortunately delivery is often late even after calling up to chase. Team promise over the phone that the order is on the way, but we are repeatedly left waiting. Not great.

This is our every Saturday takeaway. This place never disappoint you if you are looking for proper Chinese. Hot and sour soup, chicken, beef and prawn are all best here.

Food was nasty won't be ordering from there again

Tiny portions of sweet n Sour Chicken 3 pieces, Chicken Curry 2 and mush both looked like the bottom scraping of the pan. The egg fried rice was brown was a small layer underneath the tray that was that was awful. I have never ever seen brown egg fried rice the mouth full I had the only thing i could taste was soya sauce. The delivery the man couldnt even understand basic english I gave the most simple instructions it took 5min for him to give me my order. I have no visual proof my camera mobile not working I tried my neighbour she wasnt in. This will be my last time for delivery. I will one day be going personally to look at the food and what the portions are suppose to be because the spoon fulls I had was horrid totally wasted £12.99

Have come here many times from Birmingham because it’s just that good and in a league of its own. There is no other halal takeaway which can emulate such an authentic Chinese takeaway experience from the interior to the menu selection down to the food itself which is incredible. It’s always been cooked well and seasoned well. Will always come back no bad experience as of yet 2023!!!

Foo yung very expensive meat was tough egg was so dry. Went there because they take card but it cost me rubbish food. Not worth taking back but that would be the only reason I ever go back.

1st time ordering from chopstix, had chicken foo yung, chicken chow mein, and thought I would try the Thai curry sauce, ok so the foo yung was more chicken than foo yung, the taste was OK whilst I was really hungry but the smell wasn't very nice, the chow mein had a similar effect, the Thai curry sauce had a smell like it was off so never ate it, on the only upside they sold cans of rio, sorry guys but your politeness doesn't fill a hungry belly so won't be back :(

Decided to treat myself to a takeaway after my Aunties funeral today and not only has my order failed to arrive but I haven't had an update on when to expect it. Its been over 2 hours. I cannot cancel the order either. I have ordered from here previously without a problem and just wanted a nice treat after such a difficult day

2nd time ordering from chopstix and it was fresh very tasty and hot delivery was very good as well, if the quality and service stays as good as this we will definately recomend you and become regulars thank you 👍👍👍👍👍

Everything was ice cold, bland and rock hard. They stated it was delivered however it wasn't. I can prove this as I have camera around my house. I had to contact just eat to state my food wasn't delivered and for them to extend the delivery for half an hour. Really un happy with this experience and would not recommend to anyone. Prisoners get better food then we received.

The food always tastes freshly cooked and is not too oily which has been my experience in the past. Good size portions and great delivery service. I would recommend.

Veryyy nice. Second time buying from them. I did request for more sauce in the shredded beef for me to dip my prawn crackers in but didn't get it otherwise it would have been 5 stars. To be fair they were busy when I went in. I'll still buy again though :)

I would of gave a zero star but couldn't, old menu on website so prices all wrong, the food was the worst Chinese I'd ever eaten absolute disgusting, chow main..chicken slimey noodles tasteless..egg fried rice dried up and hard, chips sloppy undercooked..never in 40 year have I ever been delivered food like this...Go elsewhere..complete waste of money, il be demanding my money back.

Never disappointed with the food I get from chopstix. One of the best places for Chinese in Nottingham. A wide range of food choice. Flavours of the food are always excellent! Plenty of meat in the special noodles.

Food was just ok. Wasn't bad but wasn't really good.

Me and my parents have gotten take away from here many times. Food is always nice and portion sizes are really good too. The delivery driver is also really nice and polite. If we have any questions or requirements, they've always been very helpful and understanding.

Highly recommend, nice and freshly cooked food

Really disappointed. We had to wait over two hours for our order to arrive. We called after an hour of waiting to be told it would take another half an hour and they’d give us a complimentary bottle of coke to say sorry. It took over another hour to arrive, when it finally did it wasn’t even warm, two parts of our order was missing and we never received the complimentary bottle of coke as a sorry.

Delicious meal, would definitely order again. Haven’t ordered from them before as I’m really picky about my takeaways but this was superb!

Our meal to celebrate granddaughters birthday ruined. Items missing and after calling restaurant missing items sent 20 minutes later! Hence the meal was cold. Asked for replacement meal and totally ignored. Don’t go here!!!

Paid over 9 pound for lamb ribs in Cantonese sauce, was really looking forward to them, when I got to eating them they were all literally covered in fat, not even crispy fat just pure jelly looking fat all on them, I expected to get lovely lamb ribs for the price I paid, proper rip off, nasty tiny fatty bits in a rubbish watery oily sauce, absolutely shocking lamb ribs wouldn't recommend, this place deffo doesn't live up to Chinese cuisine, chicken chow mein was dry as a bone aswell and lacked flavour, will not be recommending to friends or family any time soon

Awful food and service would not recommend go somewhere else for your Chinese order, made me feel sick afterwards. Only positive was an extra bag of prawn crackers after waiting over 1hr for the order to arrive. Terrible very dissatisfied and disappointed

The rice was like eating what I would imagine old toenails would resemble. Everything else was fine but coated in toenail texture. I have had Chinese takeaways countless times over the last 25 years and never have I had an experience as bad as this. Food was clearly frozen and heated up in a microwave. Was more expensive than anywhere else so I expected some next level food. Turns out to be the worst food ever. Absolutely disgusting. Sent food back and am awaiting a refund from Just Eat. £27 for 3 meals that were frozen and wsrmed back up in a microwave. How are these guys still in business? Will never eat there again and would rate a big fat ZERO if I could. My advice, stay away so you don't waste your money....

First time as our local is still closed, could find any faults with our order, so I'll order again. Bit more expensive than ours, but I dont mind paying extra if I'm going to get food food

Possibly the worst takeaway ever! Never ordered from here before but some friends had used the previous Menu place & said it was good - so we thought we'd give it a go. We ordered crispy duck ( they forgot to send the sauce, spring onions & cucumber ) rang them & they then delivered them with a 'complimentary' can of coke. The duck was still cold in parts (obvs was frozen) & the cucumber & onion dried out - they'd been in the box a looong time....ordered a special pancake roll & ended up with 4 vegetable ones - that were very bland & not at all what I was expecting- so wasn't going well - the special chow mein- certainly wasn't special & the crispy shredded chicken in hot sauce was OK at best. In short - don't bother, I don't usually leave negative reviews cause what one person likes another person hates which is good - but sadly this was truly a waste of money.

Had some chicken balls and there wasn't to much chicken in there and I ended up vomiting it up a few hours later

I ordered the coconut rice which is one of my favourite dishes and it tasted like they've used experired coconut I was so disappointed I had to bin it! I rang them back to let them know about my experience trying their food got the egg fried rice as a replacement which wasn't any better! I also got the fried dumpling and they came soggy and I wasnt able to use the sauce that came with it in a separate tub as was all over my takeway bag. If you love Chinese food and dumpling I unfortunately would not recommend this takeaway. :(

I just ordered for chicken chow mein and Singapore fried rice. Omg the chow mein was ok but the Singapore fried rice tasted like ‘micro wave food’ absolutely nothing! No wonder it’s under new management. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED !!! NOT GOING THERE AGAIN !!! 😤😤😤

Was hearing a lot of good things about this place thought I'd give it a try. Delivery was 45 mins just like the polite receptionist said it would take. Tried the rice and chow mein house special which were larger portions and tasted amazing. Tried the mixed starter which was surprisingly awsome especially the dry ribs which was perfectly cooked.

£16 delivered for Happy Meal: Chicken Balls, Sweet and Sour Chicken Hong Kong style with egg fried rice, and Crispy Fried Beef with Peppercorn. Ordered at 9:44 delivered at 10:15 well ahead of the 10:35 estimated delivery time. The chicken balls are crispy, not oily which is nice, chicken inside isn't overcooked either. The Sweet and Sour Chicken is good, decent portion to match the rice. Crispy beef is very crispy and oh Lord the chilli's they use are spicy, very appreciated but not for the faint of heart. The order came with a huge bag of free prawn crackers and a couple of fortune cookies. Customer service was also great I called in to check everything was okay with my order and the guy who answered was very professional and courteous, not rushing me to speak faster like some other takeaways. The delivery guy came to exactly where I asked him to and called in just before he arrived. All in all a very good meal, enough food for 2 and thoughtly enjoyed. 5*s

Haven't had a Chinese for many years so when a leaflet dropped on my mat saying there was a local halal Chinese I just had to try it. Had sweet/sour chicken balls, chicken in oyster sauce, beef with mushrooms, prawns in red sauce and fried rice. The portion sizes were good, food arrived hot and within the time stated and all very tasty. Will definitely be using them again.

DO NOT USE THIS TAKEAWAY! 2 hours and still nothing, cancelling the order, no apology from the guys on the phone the 3 times I called! DISCUSTING.

Spare-ribs too bony for me. However the food is not bad at all.

We waited two hours for food. A big order and when it arrived it was terrible. It was so salty you couldn't eat it . The ribs were hard and so over cooked you couldn't eat them, they were so chewy.I rang and spoke to the manager and he said " oh , well can I put the phone down now ". Honestly, just dont do it.I shoulď have stuck to Ruby House. .I'm sat here hungry eating prawn crackers .

It's great to have a halal Chinese but unfortunately the meat is clearly boiled and stored separately, so when a dish is cooked the same meat is added in so it all just tastes the same. Clearly has potential but they need to ensure food is cooked fresh with authentic ingredients and flavours. Not a fan of boiled chicken and beef in a stir fry. Not a great experience this time round.

Absurdly rubbish food. They must be stupid as I instructed an extra curry sauce with my 3 in 1. I've opened it, really dry nearly no sauce and no extra curry sauce. Called them and they said they put loads on and the sauce is thick. I will never order anything from there ever again. You have been warned you will be extremely disappointed.

Used to order from here every weekend. Last weekend we ordered and it was awful the menu has changed and they no longer do pork dishes... lamb ribs not nice! Food in general has gone down hill. Won't be using here again.
