Oriental Chef in Ealing

I picked up a takeaway from here yesterday evening. I called up to place my order and was told an outstanding price for the food so I amended my order and in the end paid £76 pounds for my order. However the food was awful and poor and missing items as when I arrived home to eat the egg friend rice was missing. The food was covered in oil. Salt and chilli chips has no seasoning and just fried chilled and old peppers and grated carrot in it. The chips were frozen basic steak cut chips which were dry and mostly under cooked. The curry sauce had no flavour and tasted like out of a packed as well as the chicken balls being dry and oily. The pork chop suey had hardly any pork and a harsh vinegar taste. This food is not authentic Chinese and could probably get better from microwave sections of Chinese at a super Market. Very unimpressed for the price and was rushed as I had a large order and all was ready in 20 mins! Do not order from here if you want a decent Chinese

Have you changed the staff who take phone orders? Why is he a man? It’s inconvenient that he doesn’t speak Chinese! Where is the lady who spoke Chinese before?

It's a shame l have to give a low score...l.have been coming for a few years and food was always good but recently it has been very inconsistent and the prices are so expensive... l paid £60 last time for a take away which was disappointing and half of it went to the bin ... didn't enjoy it... it's not worth spending this amount of money for a take away....better go to a nice restaurant and enjoy better food sorry

I ordered from them many years but the standard of food today was poor..we didnt enjoy most of it and for what you pay now its not worth it sorry ... it is as expensive as eating to a restaurant out ...no more take away from 2025!

Rice dark brown and clumpy, tasted of old cooking oil. Egg fried rice without any egg, really disappointing. Awful

The food is good here but the woman who takes the order is very dishonest and over charges only correcting when it is pointed out. This has happened almost every time I have been there.

This place is really inconsistent with their pricing. Charging whatever they want and whenever they want. For the same food order they have tried to charge me 3 different prices with 3 different excuses each times. Sometimes cash no card,sometimes pay for the chilly oil which is free in any other chinese place. Rude service.

I was delivered the wrong food

A shocker. The order stated delivered when the food was not even with us. Contacted the restaurant and they said they pressed the wrong button and food was on its way. Surprise, the order was wrong! Half was missing got someone else's food as well!

Unfortunately, the food was not as good as my previous orders. The noodles were very salty which was disappointing.

Been here 3 times, all three times I was charged different prices. The second time, they corrected it and the third time, they charged me for chilli oil for 1.25£, which btw is free in all other Chinese takeaway. I’ve had the same order each time with chilli oil and never was once charged for it. They are very inconsistent with pricing so buyers be aware of this. Food is ok, but def better elsewhere where they won’t charge me for chilli oil. I only go here when I can’t be asked to cook but won’t bother anymore. Very disappointing.

This order was cancelled but not received. Payment was taken from my account. No where to complain properly.

it took 45mins to arrive. when collecting we are told to come in 10mins. Had to warm the food

Ordered a takeaway the other night and my deep fried prawn balls were way over cooked burnt infact,disappointed we where because we always use this establishment,I think we won't bother anymore now very sad..

First time I’ve had a gripe about the food. Beef was so chewy I could have soled my shoes! However everything else was excellent xx

Poor. Food was terrible special fried rice over cooked and had no peas in, hardly no pork lol mostly just dry rice! Undercooked chips. 1st and last time eating here as my local CHINA GOURMET was closed. 10times better than here. Very very poor

Soup, prawns, satay sauce all delicious! Arrived hot. Rice was very disappointing and it took a long time to arrive. Overall very good though.

Food sucks. Tastes like it was boiled and not stir fried. Worst Chinese i have had in London so far. I wouldn’t recommend. Cook has no clue how to make chinese food tbh.

Food was awful. Seemed like microwaved leftovers.

Everything was good but delivery man was on his mobile. He forgot to give me my drink tango 1 Litre... So not too pleased about that. If it wasn't for the drink I would give it 5star but I rang the restaurant they said they will call the deliver but noone rang me back and the deliver didn't come back.

As usual perfect! Came in like 20mins or even less. Cooked well Hong Kong sweet & sour chicken £9.20, I added rice for 50p... Total price £9.70. Great price for that meal good amount of food. Food quality very good, only disappointment is minimum spending money is £20, & £2 fee. It's quite high aon top of that to pay for a small white plastic bag. Apart from that everything piping hot and tasty one of my Chinese restaurants.

If food had been delivered in the time frame that had been given it might have been hot, I wasn't able to track the delivery so I wasn't able to see if it was the driver that was at fault or if it was down to the restaurant .

I just love Oriental Chef. They are my local Chinese Takeaway shop and never disappoint me. Food is always delivered hot.

My food has not been delivered and I’ve been waiting for nearly 2 hours!

Today i am very upset. This was my favourite Chinese place, im a muslim but they have halal chicken and lamb. But today they told me that they cook Pork in the same frier as the halal meat. MUSLIMS AVOID THIS RESTAURANT.

Meals were just the right size for 1 person, good quality!

Was originally due 7.20-7.40. Arrived at 8.15 after calling to chase it up.

Good portion sizes and polite service.

Soup was horrible, could only taste salt. Sweet and sour chicken was dry, hardly any sauce and the chicken was dry and hard. Delivery over 1 hour late.

This restaurant is usually very good service, but today they let them selfs down because the delivery was over 2 hours late

Food is cold. Can you eat it? I need my money back. I put it on the bin.

There was also a missing item. I am unable to report it missing as there is no option to do so on the list. Delivery driver managed somehow to completely unhook our gate too.

I live 5 minutes away, the food took nearly an hour and a half to get here and that was after me having to call the restaurant to see what the delay was.

Discovered this place after trying to find other shops that were open. Safe to say I will be returning here again. The vegetable chow mein was on point and there is plenty of open parking and a cash point right outside.

Very delicious that salt and pepper squid mouth watering inlove and shrimp fried rice m mmmm deilish.

The food was horrible the squid was like I would imagine chewing a brick and the curry sauce was lumpy the rice tasted like it had been microwaved. 30 pound down the drain never again.

Food usually amazing l, absolutely the go to place for us but today fell short. The sweet and sour sauce to accompany the prWl balls was like pure orange vinegar- not the usual standard. Chow mien also seemed to lack an ingredient. Will try the restaurant again on the future hooding this was a blip and for YEARS it’s been incredible.

My autistic son loves this place, plain fried noodles without veg are his favourite. Mine the Beef Chow Mein. Andy is very welcoming and friendly, who engages conversation with my son.

Good quality food, tastes clean (frequent oil change) and their crispy shredded beef was really good. Only qualm is their driver doesn't bring a card machine so can only do it via phone.

Decent grub. I’ve only had the house meat special with special fried rice was delicious and I will soon be going back.
