Oriental Chef in Richmond upon Thames

The squid, dumplings and chicken balls was not cooked it was all flour not very happy

They have broccoli in their stir fry mixed veg. Yay! Also would love just a stir fry broccoli dish to be added to the menu.

Ordered some food online. It never arrived. Called up the restaurant, person who picked up the phone by the name of David was straight up rude and ended up telling me they never received the order and after arguing for 5 minutes he asks for my order number which I give him which he checks and comes back and tells me that it is done but said nothing if it was sent or not and goes on to say that he doesn't know me yada yada which made no sense. This place should be shut down.

Didn't receive my order, the guy on the phone named David was impolite. Service was awful. No phone manners whatsoever.

Been a regular customer for over 7 years and counting. By far the best Chinese food around south west london as ive tried many others but oriental chef tastes much better

Five stars, there’s no other way to describe Twickenham’s Oriental Chef. It’s close to the stadium and train station so easily accessible. The people who work there are always kind and in good spirits. The Prawn Fried Rice is in my opinion the best Prawn Fried Rice I’ve EVER eaten. Preparation of my food is always quick (under ten minutes) and they have chairs and a tv that you can sit and watch while you wait. While it’s a bit snug, it’s warm and cozy while you wait for your food. They also have vegan options, and a variety of different foods to try. If you stop in Twickenham, you gotta come here!

very bad quality slim portion , and small need cuts also the duck slim and full of skin and fat . Oriental Chef used to be one of the best in the whole area but it seems quality and portions are declining .

Usually the delivery time was faster about 30' 45' this time from time of ordering to delivery took more than 1h 30'

Really unhappy with the quality of the food, chicken balls; prawns crackers; prawn toast was super oily and tasted of old oil, ribs were dry and meatless, fried rice wet, beef in black beans sauce not tasty beef was super fatty. I had two items missing items for my order, delivered 2 hours late super cold no refund for the missing items. Called up the restaurant twice after the order was placed, to find out what happened, they made me feel like I was causing and inconvenience and because I asked where my order no apology or acknowledgment of the issue, customer service was appealing. Super disappointed, absolute waste of money.

Order took over two hours to be delivered. After an hour and 20 mins I called only to discover the order had not even been started. I was informed it would be another 20 mins but took 40 mins. The delay I was informed because it was the weekend and the end of the month (21st!) and therefore busy.

For a Chinese takeaway the food was average. Very watery bbq sauce on the ribs. Portions a good size though for the price.

I just feel that 1hr 10 minutes is a long time to wait for some noodle and rice dishes. They weren’t piping hot and the chow mein was very dry. Beef in oyster sauce was lovely though.

Not good!!!! actually worse chinese we have had. I called restaurant and they were very unhelpful. Food was late and not very warm Special rice - all stuck together not nice - over cooked Prawn on toast - soggy and full of oil Seaweed - chewy and clingy in the mouth not nice Sweet and sour chicken - tasteless and soggy Crispy lamb nice - not crispy Prawn cracker - ok oily Chow mein - ok The staff were unhelpful and rude asking me where i was from. Didnt offer replacments or any help so thats a waste of £40 which was a christmas present wont be going here again, only place for this food os the bin. I dont normally like to complain but this was that bad!!!

Delivery driver went to the wrong address and then tried to blame me for having the incorrect details. When I showed him on arrival that my address was in fact correct he just said….,oh!

Friendly & polite telephone booking service. Efficient. Started using them in 2019 for a once a week or 2-week change. Enjoy the duck, chicken & sweet & sour pork menus, & fried rice special or egg fried rice. Plenty of vegetables. Improved over last 2 years though a bit less pork in box now. Prices fair. Delivery to home usually prompt - not often more than 10 minutes late (or early). Food is piping hot.

What a food will never eat again

Always good, fresh food, love almost every food except the chicken bun (feel like was just heated in microwave, not much filling in it...have to throw it in the bin) and crispy chicken (tastes flour not chicken and NOT crispy at all, waste of money to be honest) will not order those food again... Friendly people... Any fried rice is good (beef, duck, seafood fried rice, seafood dishes is nice too, chicken with mushroom & bamboo shoot, love it...
