What a great place to eat. Try the buffet menu

Food, value and service all very good. But does lack atmosphere, big restaurant, clean but fittings a little old and out if date. But have to stress we enjoyed our evening. Had the set price buffet menu, great value, food good quality and lots of it. Service could not be faulted. As said my only negative is the venue is a little old fashioned and tied.

Highly recommend quality food I just enjoyed it so much .

Food was full of oil it was pouring out of wonton and when told the number of staff she said it's fried as if I am eating for first time the fried food instead of either cancel my order age charged me for the whole platter which was left completely and sprung roll was over fried I would not go for others I don't know mine was worst experience we went home completely hungry without food

Very very busy & that means one thing. Great food as always. Price has gone up, was told still the same over the phone when booked as not been for a while. But wasn't. But all was good, with great service from all the staff on such a busy nyt. Food was perfect & lovely. Cool idea now u tick on a sheet that u would like. Brilliant idea & works. If you've never been, get booked inn to avoid disappointment. 10/10 😎👌

Amazing food, lovely friendly staff, would definely recommend

Arrived at 5pm on a Saturday we were the first to arrive. Service was extremely slow for drinks and food. Manager more interested in takeaway orders than dine in. Brought wrong drink twice. Wait for food was way too long , they need more staff. Ordered chow mien without any veg, brought with veg, sent it back, when it arrived it was tasteless. Told manager, his response was that’s how we cook it!!! So if you are ok to wait 2.5 hours, enjoy slow service and tasteless chow mien then this is the place for you.

The best Chinese food around. Great menu. Beer and wine selection. This place never fails to deliver on top quality food and service. Always top of the list in our family for eating out.

Very much enjoyed the meal. The food was very good, very friendly staff and the restaurant was full when we went on the Friday. The location might put you off, but don't let it! Will go again.

They charged us over £3 pound for a table spoon of side sauce when we paid over £17 per head... Never again

My friend & I arrived there at 17 minutes past 1 (it says on their site "lunch served 12 to 2 pm) we were told they couldn't serve us as the kitchen staff had finished., I was absolutely disgusted my friend had come 25 miles. On our way out the woman said we could have a takeaway, how does that work if the kitchen staff have finished. I felt like telling her where to stick her takeaway!!!! Will never enter that place again.

Went today at 17 minutes past 1 pm & was told we were too late to get served although it says "Open 12 to 2 pm" was absolutely disgusted with their attitude. As we were leaving the woman said you can have a takeaway. Will never go to that place again. My friend (there was just 2 of us) had come 25 miles. They are very lucky they can afford to turn customers away in this day & age.

Amazing service and same for the food! The buffet menu was a good selection of most peoples favourites and an excellent opportunity to try something new. Highly recommend.

Nice people with a reasonable amount of parking at the back. Food is usually good and I have, so far, not had an ok or poor meal, it has always been good. Can accommodate 10 people at once so birthday party meal's are good.

We were a part of a birthday party. The place was extremely dirty, sticky floors throughout, dated inside. The sliding doors were only attached at the top part which was a massive safety hazard especially with young children around. It's extremely overpriced, £18 for the buffet which is not really a buffet as you have to order from the menu anyway. Outrageous! We needed to leave early because of our baby and asked to take our main course with us which they refused to do. We are still wondering why as it would only go to waste. Of course, we still had to pay the full price. We were the only people there so it's unclear why they think this level of service is acceptable when they are already struggling with customers. It's literally the worst restaurant I've ever been to. The food was below average, location is next to a petrol station. Never again!

I wouldnt give it any stars food was horrible they say its fresh but its not its just frozen food chucked in oil way over priced for what it is in my opinion its an extremely tight resturant that is so scared of wasting a tiny bit of food would never go back there only giving one star because if not it doesnt let you post.

Very poor. Two of us, ordered a meal each and a bottle of wine. The meal didn't come to£12 each so they wanted us to pay extra or order more food. The wine and other drinks weren't included in the calculation. We didn't want to order food we didn't want so we declined. We had to leave as the minimum price for food wasn't reached, although the wine and other drinks would have taken us well over.

We had cooked to order buffet, the service was great and staff was very friendly. Food quality was average, my be my expectation was different. Starter was good, chicken used in couple of starters was not fresh or over cooked. They have lots of options available in the menu, my review is only based on the buffet.

Don’t be put off by the location as the service is good the food is probably the best in Peterborough and it is presented so well. There are far to many “all you can eat” places these days, it’s nice to see a place with a bit of quality about it.

Went here early evening with the children on a weekday, had a lovely visit. The food was very tasty and well cooked;) lots to choose from on the menu, very pleased and will definitely be going again.

After reading some of the older reviews it was with some trepidation that we stopped off here for a meal en route from Lincolnshire to Sussex, however we needn't have worried. Service was friendly and very prompt (although we were here early, at around 5.30) and the food was delicious. The "buffet menu" was not a buffet in the traditional sense - you choose five starters and five mains for your table from a fixed menu, plus either crispy duck or soup if you go for the slightly more expensive option. I believe larger groups get slightly more choices. They bring out fairly small portions of each to begin with, but you can ask for more of anything that you would like, which seems like a sensible way of minimising wastage. The extras we ordered all arrived promptly. Only slight complaint would be that rice and noodles count towards your five choices, so if you want both then that only leaves you with three other dishes. But we would definitely come here again.

Best chinese ribs in Peterborough, slow cooked, fall of the bone

So we found this due to trip advisor and decided to give it a go due to the reviews, when entering we were greeted by a lovely lady who seated us and then proceeded to take our order as we had the buffet option. The food was amazing! All cooked fresh and tasted amazing - this place really is a hidden gem and don't be put off by the petrol station next door!. We will definitely be visiting again to eat in and for a take away too. I don't normally review places but felt I need to for people to be able to get an idea of just how good the food was!.

Yo estaba buscando una nueva China para probar como mi costumbre estaba cerrado. Me acordé de pase este lugar varias veces en el camino a casa, así que pensé que le daría una oportunidad con un pequeño tome un camino. Así me recibió una señora encantadora que explicó los diferentes menús para mí para comer, ya que eran varias opciones de buffet y el tomar un menú de camino. Los locales parecía muy limpio y acogedor. A mi pedido estar preparada incluso fuimos andando y me abrió la puerta, no hay muchos lugares que ofrecen un servicio tan bueno. Estamos pensando en volver para una comida familiar y me volveré a actualizar todo después de eso.

Oriental Bites 343B Eastfield Road Peterborough-wow great food and service. Thank you Vijay and to all your staff. We had a ball. What a party we had 40 guests invited for lunch. The restaurant opened specially for us for this birthday celebration.The food never stopped coming, Hot delicious and good servings.The extensive menu choices, catered for all. We were able to have the tables as wanted and bring decorations, cakes and do some party games whilst under the helpful guidance of owner Vijay and his delightful staff who worked so hard to feed us all. Thanks to the chefs, wow what a banquet we had. We will come again very soon.To all the people out there forget the old outdated comments and book in for a superb meal. Book a party why not enjoy, its worth it. xx

This restaurant is now called Oriental Bites. Ok, so we arrived and were shown to our table quite promptly. Sadly, It all went downhill from there. I am actually quite a forgiving, laid back person who doesn't really bother about imperfect service or food, but unfortunately I feel I had to write this review. We were given the menu and the buffet process was explained to us so we ordered all the starters. The waiter said that he would then be back take our drinks order. About 10 minutes later, he came back and took our order which was a pint of shandy and a Pimms and lemonade. I then had to tell him what shandy was and how to make it. So off he went to the bar. 10 minutes later, he came back to ask how to make it again and I explained that you put half a pint of lemonade into the glass and top it up with half a pint of beer. So off he went again, only to come back 5 minutes later and ask if it should be in a pint glass, to which I replied yes. He then asked if the Pimms and lemonade should also be in a pint glass! Another 10 minutes passed and the drinks finally came but the pint of shandy was only three quarters full so I asked him to top it up. The lemonade in the Pimms was flat so we asked for half of lager instead, which again was only three quarters full and we sent it back to be topped up. So, 30 minutes in and we finally had some drinks. Then the starters arrived which, to be honest, weren't too bad apart from the ribs which were terrible. Once we had finished we waited for the crispy duck and pancakes, and waited, and waited, and asked where it was, and waited. If the restaurant was full then I could have understood the wait, but there were only 6 tables occupied. The waiter kept apologising and saying it would be worth the wait. So we decided to plan ahead and actually order the main courses before the duck arrived, which we did - 4 dishes. So, 30 minutes after finishing our starters, the duck arrived, which was cold. He offered to warm it up for us in the microwave but we didn't know if or when we would see it again so we politely declined and ate it cold. Then 3 of the 4 main courses arrived and the waitress asked what we were missing. She was trying to think what we had ordered for a few minutes until I suggested that she should go and look on the order. Finally, we finished our meal and asked for the bill. When we checked it, they had charged us for the Pimms and lemonade (£2.90) which was returned, and not the half of lager which replaced it (£1.70). When I queried it, the answer given was that they had provided a replacement for the Pimms and when I pointed out the price difference, he had to go and get the manager because he either didn't understand, or just didn't know how to handle it. Overall, the service was absolutely atrocious with completely untrained and amateurish staff, and the food was not a great deal better. They are also a takeaway and I think they need to decide what to concentrate on because at the moment, the takeaway and online orders seem to be taking the service away from the restaurant customers. Would I return to this restaurant? Never in a million years!

Was extremely annoyed when my order came. It was on time and piping hot however it was disgusting not only the worst Chinese iv ever had but the worst meal in my life. Whatever you do do not order from here, the steak curry I had was fatty,tasteless and poor quality. The crispy lamb was way over cooked and was more like cremated lamb. It had a peculiar taste also. The chips were like something out of a school canteen and the egg fried rice had 3 bits of egg in it what I counted and tasted awful. The fried veg was ok the best thing that came. I now have to go knock something up that's edible

Have used this restaurant several times over the years, tonight we wnt only to find its changed hands and is now oriental bites, food was fatty, cheap poorer quality and generally disappointing, the whole place felt run down, will not visit again and not be recommending anymore, what a shame!

i have been going to this resturant for about 6 years and it has been absolutly lovely. tonight i have made a order and it was disgusting. when we rang up the man on the phone said it has been took over so it is now called the new frangrance. i would not reccomend this restaurant to anybody stay away !!!!! bring back the old owners .

went on Saturday night to this restaurant, we have been before a few years ago, it is still very good, the buffet menu was £12, you can order as much as you like, it is all freshly prepared. We had mixed starters, seaweed, ribs, sticky chicken satay, followed by duck pancakes, then various dishes - egg rice, chicken in ginger, black bean beef, veg with cashew nuts, lovely.tThe only downside to this amazing place is the location, we were sat by the window and the view over the petrol station is not ideal, why dont they pull down the blinds! Food though is great and good value too, will definately visit agian soon,

Not always busy however don't let this put you off - food is lovely, hot and very tasty! Service is good and the staff are friendly, defo go again
