We've been using the Orient for over a year now. We aren't big takeaway eaters at all but wanted a Chinese option delivered perhaps once a month, so we chose the Orient. Our initial experience wasn't great, the chips were always 'old', just never fresh. So we complained, and the quality improved on and off for a while. Sometimes the meal was great, and sometimes it wasn't great at all. The meal I had last night however, was just dreadful. The main meal was ok, but with the same old reheated chips again. The withered onion rings were almost prehistoric, bone dry and completely inedible. I complained, and to be fair the Orient offered more food.. but we've had enough of the lack of consistency that the Orient provides. It's a shame as when it's good, it's good.. but you can't send out yesterday's reheated food, or as in our case, you'll lose customers.

I ordered a 2 person meal platter for £13 and on receiving the order I was very disappointed with the quantity. It was definitely not a two person 'meal' in any sense of the word. It was nothing more than a snack! I feel ripped off and will not be ordering from this restaurant. The food was not fresh as it arrived on my doorstep within 5 minutes of being ordered. I called the restaurant and they couldn't care less. They were not concerned to receive a bad review. It was a case of 'tough'.

This is the first meal we've had at the Orient Chinese restaurant... Our takeaway food was brilliant... It was delivered almost half an hour before estimated... We would recommend this restaurant to others... Thank you...

Within minutes of only eating half of the meal i was running to the toilet with stomach cramps etc. My husband had half of a different dish and felt the same. Never ever again

We went to this chinese after hearing it was very good, however unfortunately our experience was not like this at all. We spent £22 on 2 meals, both being salt and pepper chicken and salt pepper chips with some noodles. The salt and pepper chicken was that dry it was solid, the chips too were very dry, both that dry that they were inedible and got thrown in the bin straight away. I’m very dissapointed and definitely won’t be returning.

We had the meal for two which cost £21 each. Starting with the chicken and sweetcorn soup, wich was ok but a bit bland. Had to add plenty of soy sauce to lift the flavour. Followed by the starting platter which again was a bit bland, and to be honest, was no better than a frozen Chinese starter pack you can buy from any supermarket for a couple of quid. The mains of sweet and sour chicken and beef in black bean sauce were the best bits of the meal, but nothing to write home about. The reastaurant itself has a nice relaxing atmosphere and felt quite cozy. The staff were fine, but a little elusive. Had to chase them for our bill. Overall, for £42 for two people, I think it was a poor effort. Won't be rushing back, I'm afraid.

Came to the restaurant for a family meal. It took half an hour for the waitress to take our order, we asked for a jug of water for the table and she only brought 1 glass for 4 of us. Starters arrived and were nice however it took ages for the table to get cleared. When it was cleared we were asked if we were ready for our mains which we were, the waitress then brought our plates which were nice and hot and the serving stands for the dishes. However we were sat waiting an hour and 20 minutes for our main courses by which time the plates were cold and the candles in the serving stands had gone out. We chased the waiter for the food and he was pleasant and polite but it was clear our table had been forgotten. When the waitress did eventually bring our food we didn’t get an apology and one course was in the wrong sauce however due to the wait for the food we decided to have the wrong meal. The food was nice however as soon as I got home I unpleasantly had to sprint to the toilet were I was sat for the next 45 minutes. My stomach is doing flips and I have had to stay at my partners house as I daren’t drive home out of fear of soiling myself. The meal has completely ruined my night and I nor my family will be returning.

This is my favourite local Chinese restaurant. We have become regular visitors to The Orient largely because the food is always of excellent quality, and served so perfectly fresh.

Wide range to choose from on the menu. The service was very patient and polite, considering that two members of our party decided that they didn't want to try anything that wasn't English. There is no English 'fall back' on the menu, but the kitchen did their best to anglicise the steak. The oriental dishes that the rest of the party chose were all enjoyed and generously portioned. Will definitely eat here again.

Waited an hour and a half for starters and then forgot one. Two hours for main courses which I cancelled mine. Will not be back.

Visited Orient a few times we there again last night 21.08.18. The food was delicious as always, The staff very welcoming when we went in. The service was good. The staff are always friendly and smiling. All in all a very enjoyable evening.

We have just had a takeaway. We have had numerous takeaways from this restaurant and have always been happy but tonight we ordered earlier than normal and we were very disappointed. We all had chicken dishes and we were all disappointed due to the chicken being stringing and hard to chew. It was a bit like it was last nights chicken that they were trying to get rid of. The food cost £25.00 and for a takeaway it was definitely not worth that. considering how much we put in the bin. Think we will try somewhere else next time.

Placed our order to be delivered at 7.40 received a message stating that 20 mins would be added to our delivery time which was fine but to our surprise it was delivered at 7 o'clock ! Excellent service food came nice and hot with everything we ordered food was lovely just as nice as when we have been and eaten in the restaurant best Chinese around definitely recommend and will definitely order again !!

This used to be one of my favourite restaurants (and takeaways) in Keighley, but I had a spate of meals a year or so ago that were really not up to their normal standard so stopped going. I returned for the first time last month to give it one last go and was delighted to find that the food is back on form. I’ve ordered takeaway since too! I know that at the time I stopped going there were a number of people that I spoke to who felt the same as me, but I would urge them to go back and try again. As I said, I’m so pleased that I did!

Have eaten here many times over the last seven years, and never been disappointed with service for parties of 20, or just the two of us. The food is always excellent and we have tried many of the dishes on offer over the years. The staff are very courteous and friendly, and nothing is too much trouble for them. The early bird menu is super value for money.

We took our family for an evening meal. Everyone ordered their own dishes, and the food was enjoyed by all. The service was good and the restaurant comfortable. We have always had our family Christmas take-away from here and we have never been disappointed with the the food or service. Lovely little place.

Amazing, if you want a taste of china, this is this place. With excellent dishes cooked fresh from the cook, Orient offers many kinds of food including the starter dish, Chicken and sweetcorn soup and mixed vegetables. Absolutely Astounding.

Tenemos una para llevar la mayoría de las noches de viernes de Oriente y encontrar la comida consistentemente de buena calidad. Este es mucho mejor china en el área inmediata. Las porciones son generosas, los ingredientes son de buena calidad y los platos están bien cocinados. La ubicación es un poco difícil de encontrar y de aparcamiento por es limitada, pero no dejes que eso te desanime.

Hay muy pocos restaurantes chinos alrededor de estos días y es un buen tipo tradicional con buen servicio atento y siempre pide que cuencos y platos quieres comer y si están listos para su siguiente curso. Está a poca distancia de la estación de autobuses también tiene fácil acceso si viaja a través de keighley. Las raciones son muy buenas y están siempre dispuestos a ayudar para decidir. Hay un menú de principios y un buen menú de aves bebidas razonables. Ambiente muy acogedor.

Highly recommended Chinese restaurant, great food at very reasonable prices. Larger than normal portions to other Chinese restaurants. Great service from all the staff

Our visit to the Orient was with low expectations but we were pleasantly surprised. A warm smiley welcome with attentive service.The Beef Curry and the Thai Red Curry were both very good and the rest of our side dishes just as nice. Very good value and a great experience. We will certainly return if in the area.

We've been here a few times and always enjoyed the food. The staff are friendly and helpful and service is good.

Visited on Friday with friends for the lunchtime special offer. I have heard of this restaurant before but never visited as I forget it's there due to its location but if the food I had on fri is to the same standard all the time I would highly recommend and look forward to visiting again. We had the set menu and a couple of cokes and for roughly £10 each left very happy and satisfied. The spring rolls were tasty and filling and the beef curry was delicious. Staff were pleasant and the place was busier than I expected. Will be back soon

We go occasionally to the Orient and when we do its early evening on Sunday. We have always found the service to be efficient and professional. To get to full Cantonese experience we enjoy eating with chopsticks and choose bowls instead of plates. The staff know us well enough not to ask anymore. We chose three main courses and Singapore noodles to share which stay warm on the hot plates. Last Sunday we had Fried king prawn with chilli and garlic sauce, fried chicken satay and char sui (roast pork) with spicy Szechuan sauce which were all served at the same time. The food was delicious. To compliment the food we shared a bottle of sake (Japanese rice wine). We’ll be back again.

We have been before and had similar problems but tonight definitely beat them. Booked table for 7.30 having chosen our meal sat down at 7.40 had to ask for prawn crackers, starters came at 8.00 second course 8.30 Mains 9.20. The food was good, staff attentive. We complained to Management but didn't seem bothered just said they were busy, we would not have minded but people were coming and going as we sat there. They obviously don't mind if you come back.

Went for a Meal lovely food friendly and helpful staff reasonable price bit it stops there, had to wait 45 minutes for our starter and again for our main. Hour and half in all way too long good luck if you go here

I visited the restaurant with friends to celebrate an occasion and the staff were friendly and helpful. The meals were brought out promptly and looked good and were fresh. Really enjoyed our meal and would recommend to a friend.

Absolutely awful. The food went straight into the bin, which after discovering the restaurant only has a rating of 1 out of 5 on the environmental health website I am glad we did not eat it. Do not waste your hard earned cash on this eating establishment!!

This inauspiciously looking restaurant tucked in next to the bus depot is not in the best off locations but once you step inside it doesn't matter where it is. The staff are welcoming, the place is nicely decorated with a bar seating area where you can have a drink whilst looking through the huge range of dishes available. The service was first class with the waitresses ready and available to answer any requests. The food itself was delicious. We had curried samosas and chicken and sweetcorn soup to start with, I had to help my wife finish her huge bowl of soup, with Asam King prawns with egg fried rice and the house special Chow Mein for mains. Neither could be finished despite being delicious and had to be taken home. We could easily have shared the main courses; all at a very reasonable price. Have been before and will go again. Don't be put off by the location, you will enjoy!

We booked in for 630 on a sunday for 4 people we arrived just before our booking time we were given the menus straight away.we were sat at our table for 640 expecting the starters to arrive within about 5mins by 715 i had to get someones attention to see how long the starters were going to be as everybody who came in after us were already being served thier mains ! The restaurant wasnt even busy the food was lovely once it arrived but it was 830 before we left 2hours for a chinese seems a long time especially hen the waiting staff seemed to spend a lot of time standing around.Would i go back probably as the food is very good shame about the wait

I booked a table for 7pm for 4. Very warm welcome. We chose 8 different dishes for sharing. 5 meat & Poultry and 3 vegetarian. Very tasty lots of choice. I had chinese tea for the first time which was very refreshing. Staff attentive and polite. We had a wonderful evening and will definitely visit again if we are in the area. The isn't any parking at this restaurant so give yourself plenty of time to find parking.

I have had take aways from the Orient a couple of times and was keen to try the in house experience. There were a some issues with the service such as the wrong wine and a wrong meal being brought but these were corrected quite quickly.The food was excellent: my crispy duck was genuinely crispy and my friends approved their curries though the ginger was quite prominent. The portion sizes are generous so no one went away hungry.There is no parking immediately outside the restaurant but there is street parking close by.I will definitely return.

Recently I have had problems with the take away food I have had. Chicken curly mis shaped and full of water. Went to the Orient restaurant on Wednesday evening, a party of 5 including one wheelchair and a vegetarian. All the food was great, especially the starters which we shared. Staff and services excellent and not over priced. Huge portions particularly chow mein dishes. We will definitely be going back.

Friendly staff and decent food. The reason I didn't rate it 5 star is because I was slightly disappointed with my food. I had a duck in spicy Szechuan sauce and the meat was good but the sauce was sweet and wasn't really spicy. Thai spicy salad was hot though.

All food great except chips. Twice now. They are rubbish. Not sure why but such a shame! Will still use but would be lovely to get decent chips also.

After having a take away, which was superb, we decided to have an eat in, sit down meal from the highly recommended Orient in Keighley. It certainly didn't disappoint. Excellent service, food quality and quantity and a very reasonable price. Very impressed. We will definitely go back.

We stayed in Haworth for the weekend and had the good fortune to find this top class Chinese restaurant in Keighley. We had the four course set menu with duck as a third course. Without going into detail, this was probably the best Chinese dinner we have had for a very long time. The food was perfect and the staff were great. We will certainly be back when we visit the area again. The only downside may be the car parking which is on a nearby street. It wasn't a problem for us, but I can see that it could be for others.

We were strange to the area and asked a local if any Chinese restaurants in the area, she pointed us to the Orient, we went along and had a lovely meal the food was well cooked and the service was very good but it was midweek with only another couple with four children so not rushed off their feet but the service and meal could not be faulted.

Called in for an evening meal,not many people in so littleatmosphere .The starter sharer was good but the main meals were notI had the rainbow and compared to previous visits it was lacking in both taste and content.Mentioned this when we paid :little or no reaction from therestaurant.Sad because this place used to be the best

Service is fine, and we went on Saturday night without booking and even though it was busy they squeezed us in straight away. Will be back.

we went with 2 friends on Saturday 13th February staff are ever so good its nice to have a Chinese for a change it was quiet full butt the service was very good and food as always great well done as always

Visited on a Friday evening with my wife and daughters and 14 and 11. We ate a mixed bag of set meals, off the main menu and children's menu. The evening was well balanced with plenty of time between courses, the wine was reasonably priced and most importantly all of the food was freshly made and tasted great. We were advised about over ordering on rice, which was helpful as the general portion sizes are good. Yes, it is more expensive than a takeaway.........but it's a modern restaurant, the service is friendly, the atmosphere is fine when there are people in and ultimately, as I said, you get what you pay for...........in the case just shy of £100 for four including wine and tip was good value. We will definitely be going back.

The food isn't cheap but definitely worth every penny. Authentic oriental food and friendly no-nonsense staff.

Firstly, the food is excellent and the service is great. I was with my wife, two grown up children and a younger child. The layout is a little like a school canteen and if your party is any more than 4 then you will be sat in two rows facing each other. I am more used to round tables -especially in Chinese restaurants which makes it easier to converse and share dishes. The cost was quite dear and even with one child's meal we paid more than 30 pounds per head including soft drinks only and no wine.

Went with friends and chose the banquet. There was more than enough food and it tasted great. The staff were very pleasant and even though we were the last to leave, there was no pressure and we didn't feel that we needed to go. Would definitely go again.

Ordered a takeout and was told this is one of the best chinese places to eat so ordered a chew main it was ok had to much sauce on it though not the best i have had overall i'd say the place is ok

Been here a few times now, never disappointed. All the normal things are done to a high standard, and they have a few interesting varieties too (eg crispy shredded beef in bobo sauce - lovely rich sweet taste with garlic and a spot of chilli). Shared dishes with a group and all were really tasty. A good evening out. Good service too.

We are here as regular as clockwork. The hospitality and the food are consistently fantastic and our latest visit, which was for a family birthday was brilliant. The Sunday banquet is a good value four course offering with a plentiful choice of dishes. From the main menu, Thai Penang curry or Malaysian chicken get my vote. The one thing that is unfortunate is something that cannot be changed. It is in a back street next to the bus garage. If it was in the town centre, it would be perfect.Sit down or take away, you will not be disappointed.

The four of us came here for the Early Bird on a quiet Wednesday evening. There is a decent choice of soups, starters, mains and then coffee, tea or ice cream to finish. The food came quickly and piping hot and delicous. But the real star of the Orient was the staff. So friendly and helpful. We will certainly be coming back.

The waiting staff here are excellent, very friendly and helpful The food is very good too, I had a thai red curry that was not as hot as expected but tasty. My partner had a rather tastless black bean dish all in all a good night out. A very large menu which is worrying.

Excellent food as usual, but the waiter managed to spill a full pint of beer, most of it went on my wife and son, with glass everywhere. Full y accept it was an accident, but my request for a reduction to the bill as compensation was ignored. Left a sour taste after the meal. Disappointed.

my wife and I have visited this restaurant, on many Friday lunch times.this is the only mid week lunch time opening (12.00 = 2.00pm)the food is very good and well cooked. there is a good choice for a lunch time menu( I can recommend the chow mein) , the staff are very pleasant and helpfull sophi always as a pleasant greeting for customers.it is not a very large restaurant but is very clean . and not over decorated with Chinese emblems , there are live orchids in the windows (not artificial ones), we shall continue to visit D & E Wilkinson

Classic Chinese food cooked to perfection. Friendly staff very attentive and never a bad meal. So much to choose from there is something for everyone.

We recently had a take-away from here, and it was very very tasty. Parking was a little difficult around the side streets in Keighley but do go, the food is lovely and great value. Not too long a wait, and the food tasted fresh and flavoursome. We tried several dishes, all were good with good portion size for a take-away. Hubby particularly enjoyed his Chicken Bo-Bo and the Duck in Orange was yummy too!

Having heard good things about this place I decided to try it. We attended on a Friday evening as a party of two.The entrance and dining room are for the most part very nicely decorated. The staff were very helpful at explaining the content of the dishes.We did find it very peculiar that there was a stand in reception selling novelty items.The food was very nicely presented and the portions are generous. Both our meals and sides were very nice and tasty.We would definitely eat here again. It isn't the cheapest Chinese restaurant but I think well worth it and is probably one of the nicest places around.There is a small amount of parking just around the corner and several car parks locally. The restaurant also does takeaways.

My family and I dined here on Saturday night for my birthday. We have been before and always find some sort of issue with staff not always understanding what the customer wants. However when the food was ordered and arrived it was very good and all very fresh. Occasionally here I find the portion sizes can be small and not over generous. Overall we were well served, food was excellent & I even got a Bailey's on the house. Possibly more expensive than some.

Fantastic food as normal...... Unfortunately I have marked this down because of the service received from the male waiter! We arrived and took a seat and the waiter came over with the menus.....he abruptly asked if we wanted drinks! At first we thought he was having a bad evening...then another couple came through the door and he was all smiles and ever so polite!!!!We ordered with the waitress who was lovely as usual and were seated.In the middle of our starters the male waiter grabbed the soy sauce off our table and plonked it on the table behind!!! I was gobsmacked ....he didn't even have the courtesy to ask if we'd finished....to which we hadn't and I had then to ask him for some more! He then proceeded to serve the mains.....a smile may have been welcome!To all the people I recommend the Orient to.... I take it back.....until the rude, abrupt, horrible waiter either leaves or learns how to treat customers politely, warmly and more importantly equally...DON'T Go!!!! I was quite upset and a could have got up and walked out!

Dined here recently with my daughter. Overall we both liked it, but it's not cheap - not expensive, but not cheap - overall therefore reasonable value for money, hence overall average rating. The food is worth a mark more perhaps, but the ambience nudges things the other way. On a ten point scale it would be 7/10.It was busy, not a bad sign, but the layout is cramped and more cafe than restaurant, particularly compared with various other 'chinese' within, say, half an hour's drive. The location right next to the bus depot is not the most romantic, and rather adds to the slightly 'transport caff' ambience - but if you enjoy watching buses navigating the yard, or conversation lulls, there's always something big and red to watch outside. There's a small bar area, where we could have had a drink, but opted to go to our table straight away - we hadn't booked, not a problem.The food was good: prawn crackers (assume these were gratis) - not fresh, but they very rarely are; two soups; quarter crispy duck - we requested and got extra pancakes without issue; and three mains with a fried rice side. The sweet and sour shredded chicken was slightly more batter than meat, but the sauce was good, and loaded with vegetables. The beef dish was good, and the chow mein equally pleasant - spicy without being overpowering, and again plenty of vegetables, and those cooked not murdered. With four soft drinks the bill dipped in just under £50. Fair, but not a bargain.The service was pleasant, and responsive. My only real whinge was the menu: it's big, plastic bound, with pages inserted in clear plastic protectors: very sensible, but it just felt rather greasy.I'm sure we'll be back, and I'm sorry that having lived in the area for 15 years it's taken me until now to find it. Keighley is never going to be a location of choice for budding high-end restaurateurs, and the bar of culinary competition is low, so in that context this place is definitely worth a visit, and probably worth a drive from out of town - though not past TOO many places!

A friend introduced me to this restaurant. OMG! Is most definitely the best Chinese Restaurant in Keighley by a mile...In fact the best one I have been to in the Yorkshire area. Only one take out in Steeton equals it but they don't do sit down food. I would concur with another reviewer who stated the food is served piping hot and that the staff are friendly. I would recommend the bobo chicken wings...now these are the best in the whole of Yorkshire!My nine year old son is a bit of a chinese food connoisseur so I am taking him on Saturday. I have no doubt we will both have a fabulous meal.

I love this restaurant, I go regularly. The food is always excellent and the service is impeccable. The atmosphere is nice and relaxed, clean and welcoming.I would highly recommend eating here. The menu is varied, with a great choice and on Sunday evenings they do a 4 course meal for £14, well worth it.

Encouraged by tripadvisor reviews for the restaurant we got takeout. As others have said great to find somewhere using fresh ingredients and no tasteless gloop! We will be back to try more of the menu soon.

We were looking for somewhere to eat in a hurry as were were heading to a band gig. This place came recommended and what a recommendation indeed!!From entering the place is friendly and warm, the waiters and waitresses are both civil and experienced people. It was cold out and straight away we were offered a radiator seat with just the right level of heat applied.The food was absolutely superb!! Chicken noodle soups comes in a massive bowl and is piping hot and delicious - you have been warned! Brilliant! Onto the mains and the Chicken Singapore Noodles were absolutely superb not to much oil, dry and delicious along with super spicy! Be warned again if you don't like your food super spicy.. as it is.. but what taste! Amazing! Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great Chinese meal. has to be one of the very best available!

Had a long awaited night out with friends we decided to go for something to eat, some other friends had been to the Orient previously and recommended go there, I have to say i was pleasantly surprised though irs not a large place we weren't crammed in we had plenty of room the staff were polite and very helpful when we had questions about the food, when the food arrived it was hot and good quality not a bit greasy like some Chinese food can be, there was plenty to eat but not over facing and I would say good value for money will definitely be back.... this is a little gem hidden in the back steets of Keighley.

This is the best Chinese in keighley. The food doesn't taste mass produced and unhealthy like all the others around keighley. It tastes fresher than all the others and the dishes are made with fresh veg in. The noodles taste freshly made and not like last nights. The prices are reasonable and everything tastes good. The spare ribs aren't blocks of fat like in other places they're lean and tasty, I would recommend to anyone. Although the guy who answers the phone for takeaways needs to brush up on his manners he can be quite blunt and rude! Sometimes it's on the tip if your tongue to tell him where to go, my other family members have said the same "is it me or is that guy proper rude." Note to him!

Great food, fantastic service, what more could you wish for?! Everytime we have visited the orient it has been wonderful! And would highly recommend it to anybody wanting Chinese food

Tucked away, down a little side street next to the bus garage, the Orient is really worth a try. Tasty and unpretentious.

we go here every now and again and have never been disappointed. My boyfriend always gets crab claw and they are delicious. The squid starter was really nice too. Both main courses very good. Always good service - very friendly and knowledgable about dishes.

A lovely choice of menu's, clean and well presented. The staff are very attentive and efficient, will even give lessons on how to use chop sticks and are willing to take photos when needed, our waitress was a delight and joined in the fun of our night. The food could have been a little hotter on some of the dishes but was soon whisked away with a piping hot fresh dish replaced and apologies.A very enjoyable evening was had by all.Alcohol is sold at not too bad a mark up.Recommend the Orient for a good social night or as a couple.

This is my first restauarnt review. We called in on spec on Friday 29th August at teatime. They were fully booked but said if we didn't mind being away by 7pm we could eat in. Very happy to do this. The staff were lovely, so attentive and made us feel very welcome. My granddaughter had her favourite aromatic duck which we all shared and we started with won ton and salt and pepper ribs which were divine. Two mains of satay beef and sweet and sour chicken with two portions of fried rice were more than enough for three of us to share. We had a party here in April for my mother in law and the manager remembered us even though we haven't been since. I love this restauarant, it's my very favourite chinese anywhere.

Me and my partner recently visited this establishment as I had never been :) .... The waitress and waiter were exceptionally kind and greeted us politely ... The food itself was absolutely amazing and presented so nicely :) I would highly recommend this plan to anyone who is a big lover of Chinese food! ITS A DEFO MUST! Hope to be going again soon!

My partner and I visited orient on 12th July for an evening meal, I have eaten here before in previous years and highly recommended it. The food was still as perfect as ever and impeccably presented! The waiter and waitresses greeted us and the service was still second to non. Amazing atmosphere through the restaurant. We both shared the spring rolls as a starter; My partner had the orient vermicelli chow mien whilst I had the satay chicken with egg fried rice, which again was perfect and delicious! You must visit this restaurant especially if you like Chinese food!! Furthermore they have the best prawn crackers EVER!!! Hope to be going again soon!!

Absolutely the best Chinese restaurant I have ever been to (by a huge margin). Amazingly friendly staff, immaculately clean and tidy (and very hygienic), and the food was just out of this world!! They hand make all the sauces (Satay, Black Bean etc etc) by hand (rather than buying them in from supermarkets), and you can REALLY taste the difference. The attention to detail was quite simply superb, and the prices were extremely competitive. DO NOT miss a visit to this wonderful restaurant (no seriously.....DONT miss this one it is WELL worth a visit).

We have just had an excellent meal at the Orient to celebrate our mum's 70th birthday. We had a large table laid out to accommodate us all and the staff bent over backward for us. We have been there before in a much smaller group,so we knew what to expect and that is why we chose the Orient for this special occasion. We had brought a special birthday cake and they took care of prepping it and bringing it out right on que. A very enjoyable evening.

had a large family celebrtation meal for a 50 Wedding anniversaryfood was ok but service was terrible waited ages between courses, then only half the dishes ordered where brought to the table after another long wait the rest were brought with no apology for delay.when maains were brought two wrong dishes were brought and had to be returned a meal started at 7.15 was not finished until 10.00 ..... NEVER AGAIN !!staff not interested in service or customers.

Finally went to The Orient Restaurant, only to be disappointed, food very bland and very pricey, have had better from takeaways, and prices for drinks exorbitant, glass of soda water was £1.70, will definitely NOT go again.

Went to the orient with friends on saturday night. The food was lovely as always! I had the hot and sour soup n then sweet and sour chicken with egg fried rice n it didnt disapoint it was lovely. The only thing I can say I was disapointed that there was no special menu for chinese new year that wud have been nice but other than that it was lovely.
