Ori Caffe in Milton Keynes

Really nice service, Made me a biscoff hot chocolate as they didn’t have nutella! Which was yummy. Would be 5 stars if they put matcha on their menu :)

What a lovely little gem this is, I had come in off a whim during a shopping trip for a coffee and cake and have been pleasantly surprised. I was served by a kind young man Harry who made me feel very welcomed and accommodated to any of my dietary needs would recommend to anyone passing through !!

I tried a vanilla turmeric latte recommended by one of the workers, lovely art on top. I look forward to returning when I next visit the shopping centre. 10/10.

Coffee was excellent. Service was bizarre. A nice person brought my coffee to the table but not my mince pie. It took an interminable time to deliver a warm pastrami bagel. (The staff were not busy). Undeterred I came back for a second coffee, an hour or so later. It was approaching 4:30pm. (Cafe closes 5:00pm). The staff member behind the counter, who was making a tea, assiduously avoided eye contact. Then eventually took my order and enquired if I would like anything else…” To which I was forced to reply….” You have cleared everything away …. So you don’t have anything else for sale…” 🤔😏😳

Ori Caffe is an amazing Italian patisserie. Staff were lovely, especially good with our daughter who was kicking sulking at the time. Has an amazing view of the Christmas light display in the shopping centre. 100% best option for a coffee stop in the shopping centre.

I came in for just a tea this morning while shopping but I got persuaded by the lovely cakes on display! The lady who served me was very lovely. It was a bit expensive but the service definitely made up for it🥰

Came for 2 hot chocolates and some cakes Cakes had no prices, so a bit of a shock there. Hot drinks had a 10 mins delay which was fine But they sat on the side for 5 mins before being delivered to our table, the baby one was stone cold Asked for another one Arrived within minutes, stone cold again My son didn't want to wait any longer by this point, so just drank it But first and only visit.

We generally like this cafe, more than the place to eat. The food are light bites ir cakes, fresh and enjoyable

I vist ori cafe lots since being on maternity leave , breastfeeding friendly , great place to stop of a drink and cake while up city doing shopping. Beautiful view of the Christmas lights in December. Staff are always friendly and helpful

Great visit today at Ori Café. Although it was busy, staff went out their way to accommodate with allergies/intolerances. Quick service, very clean, and friendly staff. Would definitely come again

Came in to John Lewis to search for a birthday present and after buying a rather expensive necklace we had a coffee while waiting for our present to be gift wrapped . We have two small dogs and are allowed in John Lewis with them …. Sitting down for our coffee in Ori cafe we were told that we can not have our dogs in there ????? Unacceptable as you can bring your dogs into John Lewis and one of the reasons I shop there …….

I was very disappointed with my visit today. I had a cheese scone which hardly tasted of cheese, it was more like a plain scone. There were no serviettes available, I had to ask for a piece of the blue cleaning tissue. Considering the price charged I was very disappointed. The young people who were serving were helpful and polite, but did not compensate for the overall bad experience.

Really slow, poor service. Ordered two cheese "rarebit" scones. One was burnt and they'd run out of any spreads!!! The person in front of us asked what was in the salad, and only two ingredients were mentioned before he said he forgot! Got offered food at our table, which wasn't ours and we had no table number for an order! Staff eating standing up in front of customers

I had lunch in Ori, MK Wednesday last week. Extremely disappointed. The young man taking the order was more intent on chatting to colleagues & drinking his own drink while customers waiting. I ate a very disappointing Chorizo sausage roll , heated to a soft chewy lump, with salad ( half a bowl of grains in a sauce & bland chunks of beetroot). I also witnessed other customers who were equally unhappy. I have shopped in John Lewis, locally and around the country since 1963. So sad to see it's demise and loss of it's unique brand. My regular store is Cambridge branch, where Ori is ok, however Ori is not helping the store compared to 'Place to Eat'

Good quality coffee, food is a tad expensive but definitely better value for money than the John Lewis cafe on the 3rd floor, purely because it's organised and the service is more than sufficient to be comfortable. This one can be found on the mezzanine above the beauty section.

Lovely food and staff. Super friendly and the food was really good for a café. Lady with glasses and northern accent was exceptionally attentive

A 30 minute wait to heat up some soup and a bit of pizza. Won’t be coming back again.

Third consecutive visit to be underwhelmed

My wife and I have endured two of the worst sandwiches we have ever had here today . We won’t be returning.

Located in John Lewis maybe the day we went but rather dull. Staff fine.

For John Lewis this is a very basic snack bar coffee shop with a good range of beverages but very limited food offering. The view of the Milton Keynes shopping mall forum is a good feature - especially near Christmas.

Got there about 14.20 on Monday 4th December and they where closed because the guy said no staff . But served the couple in front of us. We have been there many times in the past but will not return anymore.

No room, full. Shame as its good coffee and cake.

Delicious coffee, nice brew of tea. Staff working hard in a very busy environment. They need more help with the clean up, especially on the floor. Chairs scream when moved slightly.

I would give a good review but have to complain about the cakes and pastries being completely open to customers coughing, sneezing and any other not nice happenings while queuing to be served. Where has hygiene gone Ori Cafe? Get those cakes and pastries protected!

Husband and I always come here for lunch or a coffee. Today we did the same, he just had his own lunch but I ordered my usual. One of the women working there came to our table and told my husband he can't eat his food there. We apologised and asked if I could take the I ordered food away. She was incredibly rude, and dismissive saying she doesn't have a take away container. I asked for a refund. I understand the policy but there are ways of approaching customers and this woman clearly hates her job or people. It's not a cheap place and you would expect at least a polite person to serve you, whatever the circumstances are.

A great stop for our morning coffee and cake. Nice and quiet, watching the world go by.

My friends and I meet here regularly for a coffee and a chat, the staff are friendly and inviting. It has a cosy, quiet atmosphere. It offers a good range of drinks, and food....highly recommended .

Still a good place to sit and watch people passing by in Middleton Hall and the drinks were fine. The service has improved since last time, though there was still a long pause between getting the toasted sandwich we ordered and the hot drinks. Quite expensive for what it offers as well, but a nice place to chill.

Over priced meals without any dressing on the salad or accompanying things that make a meal complete. Poor selection too, overall underwhelmed and over charged.

Dom provided incredible service and hot chocolate and read my mind amazingly to give me exactly what I was craving. Definitely will come again for Dominic

Great coffee and delicious sandwiches. Didn’t enjoy the Croissant however, it was not at all flaky and quite undercooked and doughy.

Nice scones and nice coffee but very expensive. The cashier need to slow down don't know what to charge, end up paid £9 ( 1 person) for a scone, a small bottle of jam, a small pot of clotted cream and a cup of tea, all charged separately. Lucky butters is service with it. We haven't decided she already impatient. Hope John Lewis can look into it come out a set price like the top floor restaurant and more friendly service. Thanks.

Nice little cafe which is on the mezzanine level of John Lewis. It's not an obvious place to find - the stairs and lift are tucked in the corner of one entrance. The food was good and coffee was pretty standard. Service was polite and quick.

Ori Caffe - is separate from John Lewis, so you can't use your membership card here. Ordered tea plus a ham and cheese sandwich. Great ambience, quiet felt serene. + Service was prompt. + Bread was scrumptious 👌🏾. + Staff were polite. + Sandwiches and pastry on display look well made. - Staff didn't know what sandwiches were on offer, a lot of I think... - Staff unsure as to type of milk served. - Chairs not being cleaned, lots of crumbs on the sides of the cushio n. - Sandwich tasted salty, unsure if from the ham or salt added.

The slow drink service is appalling. We have usually finished our meals before the drinks arrive. Hot food arrives quickly but never seems hot all the way through - worrying when its meat. The quality of food and coffee is good. You are given a number and take a seat for it all to arrive. Place was clean and tidy. The staff are pleasant and polite but lack any sense of urgency.

Wasn't sure on first looking at the display, but food was surprisingly good. The mozzarella, tomato and basil toasted sandwich was certainly tasty.

My husband & I went in for coffee & cake 28 February 23 I was very disappointed with my fresh scone that I was looking forward to it was hard tasted of dough very crumbly I expect better of John Lewis my husband had a Bakewell tart which wasn’t much better so beware of what you choose to eat we had coffee too that was as always very good

We went on a Saturday afternoon and it was very busy! But the staff were great and didn't have to wait long to be served. The handsome manager Wayne was great and even convinced us to get a sweet treat with our coffee.

Location is very nice. Recently the coffee taste quite bad. They need new barista. Taste like burnt coffee and is bitter no matter how much sugar you put in. We tried latè, we tried cappuccino and taste thr same. Stop burning the coffee please 😩

We went here for a breakfast . Large company (22 persons) they didn't have anything from the menu, just bagels, some sandwiches and cakes. such a disappointment. it was my first time there (and the last lol) , I normally go to the place to eat upstairs and heard about Ori as of kind of fancier place but no way. the service is so slow. shortage of stuff they say. the had lost lots of money from us today.

Queued for 45 minutes today. Service very slow and lack lustre. Staff unenthusiastic, and seemed as though they didn’t want to be there. It was a busy day in the center, but there was no urgency about reducing the queues. Ordered 3 coffees and three cakes. Nothing very special, and very pricey for what we had. Despite the cafe overlooking the brilliant Christmas display,we won’t be returning any time soon.

Wonderful service, happy staff and made sure we were well looked after even though card machine wasn’t working. Best coffee shop in MK!

Always go to Ori when visiting MK, good for a quick bite to eat and good coffee. Usually not too many people and small queues.

Visited this cafe this morning, a Wednesday We queued for over 15 minutes to place a drinks order! Once we'd ordered we sat for a further 5 minutes before our drinks arrived at our table. I would not recommend this cafe, just go to the main one on the top floor of the shop where service is much quicker!

20 min waiting for pastry which don't require cooking, overheated milk in latte... Never again...

lovely coffee, lovely lunch, lovely cakes, lovely staff. visited today after a friend gave a recommendation, prices are a bit on the higher side for a cafe but everything was delicious none the less. Wasn’t particularly busy but very few staff members in proportion to the amount of customers.. Fantastic view of the fashion show in the hall down the below and overall nice atmosphere. Tall girl making and serving food was very charming and looked like she belonged on the runway herself :)

My husband I regularly visit here for work and leisure. We are drawn to the pleasant atmosphere, and the cheerful staff who always carry a smile. The staff have a good understanding of their menu, and are always willing to adapt to different dietary needs and palates, all professionally presented. In our experience, the coffee beans are the best we have tasted in this quadrant.

I’m a regular but todays visit was very busy, hard to find a table but staff were very accommodating, served by a lovely young lady with curly black and red hair, will be back during the week when it’s preferably less busy!!

Food was good, small portions, eveything overpriced, not really recommended

I am a frequent visitor here at various times of day .Clean environment with lush coffee and great food . Staff are always professional , polite , friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend 😊

Went with friends the lady on the till was very rude, majority of items on the menu they had not got excuse was delivery very poor service and not a lot of choice such a shame 😑

Tables near the window were untidy and needed cleaning. But, the worse thing happened was when the waiter served my food with the cutleries still dirty. Can't believe he missed this!!! Paid more than £13.00 for a breakfast. Not worth it!!! Will not come here anymore.

What can I say, most expensive over priced coffee I’ve ever been to and I wouldn’t mind if their coffee is good but it’s shocking coffee shocking taste. Only go here over Christmas for the view not for the coffee or it’s price tag. Sorry John Lewis but you don’t even come close to costa so I would suggest you don’t charge twice the costa price if your coffee is nowhere near as nice. What a joke cheapest coffee at £3 for a piccolo worlds tiniest coffee cup. 2 things (change your coffee) (change your price)

Went to this lovely place today with my daught and daughter in-law and really found it so good, the staff were amazing and I have food allergy requirements and they were very knowledgeable about what food they have to offer for a gluten,wheat dairy free diet...i would definitely recommend and I will definitely be going back.

We’ve been here 4 times now and always enjoyed our lunch. The toasties & pizzas are fresh and the filling is extremely generous. Great selection of coffees/smoothies and cold drinks. The staff have always been lovely and the service very quick! Would highly recommend.

Tried for 1st time since updated. I had a mozzarella, tomato & basil hot roll my husband had slice of ham & mozzarella pizza. Plus 2 latte. Although pizza was very good, it had been OVER drizzled with olive oil. Which was running off of the plate & spoil it. It didnt need oiling! Neither did my husband, as he was covered in it. Our latte was served in cappuccino cups, which I cannot hold. Asked staff could you please put it into a mug. They had none. Only take away cups, which had to suffice.
