Oregano Restaurant 2 Hilton Road Bishbriggs Glasgow in East Dunbartonshire

What a fantastic find. Service superb food terrific clean and tidy restaurant. NSFW to feel very welcome. Staff know about the food and Skye to advise. Well worth a visit. Looking guitar to our next visit.

The restaurant was quiet when I arrived and went to my table, The food was excellent I started with the prawn and crayfish salad,very refreshing and plenty of it. Next I had the seabass, the fish was perfectly cooked and the plate was warm a good indication the vegetables went well with the fish I finished off with the highland sundae. The wine was chilled, the waiter and waitress were very efficient and didnt do the annoying thing of asking every 2 mins if everything was okay, I will be back and people should give it a try

Recientemente reservé la suite Rotunda para una cena familiar de Navidad (22 personas) Se lo recomendaría al 100% a cualquiera que busque una gran noche privada para la familia. La habitación estaba decorada genial, la comida excelente. Pero, sobre todo, el servicio fue brillante. Muy atento y siempre en la pelota con bebidas. Esta será ahora una reserva regular cada año.

Intentamos el orégano nuevamente, ya que a pesar del mal servicio en una visita anterior (habían perdido nuestro pedido y nos dejaron sentados durante unos 45 minutos sin avisarnos, aunque para ser justos no nos cobraron) la comida es buena. Nos mostraron nuestros asientos pero luego nada. Otra mesa que llegó después de nosotros tenía órdenes tomadas, nos ignoraron. Tenía que ir a buscar personal y preguntar si podíamos pedir. Cuando llegó la comida, estuvo muy buena. Para el pudín, ¡las Sundae escocesas con tableta, mantecadas y una bola de nieve completa fueron fantásticas! ¡Salíamos después, así que no nos arriesgamos y fuimos a buscar una caja para pagar una vez que terminamos!

5 pm trato de comida 2 o 3 platos del menú fijo, ambos disfrutaron de todo, el servicio es excelente, el vino es fabuloso (las dos botellas)? Lol? no había estado en orégano durante mucho tiempo, pero sin duda volveré y lo recomendaría?

My dad booked for the 7 of us to go for a family Easter Sunday lunch. He was a bit concerned it would be full of noisy kids and service would be slow. However he neednt have worried. Our ages ranged from 11-76 but the menu, although quite limited, had something for everyone. The roast beef and the easter sundaes were the highlights. It was really busy but our food was served promptly and was very tasty. The staff were really welcoming and had a very friendly manner, even though they must have been rushed off their feet. Our 2 boys (at 11 and 14) were still given the kids treat i.e. easter egg, on leaving which we really werent expecting as they are taller than their parents and eat more, but it was a nice touch. Would definitely recommend as a family venue to suit all ages.

Visited Last Friday with 4 friends we arrived at 5 45 and had the option to choose from the early evening menu (4-6pm). The choice on this menu was very good and great value for money. The food that we all had was delicious and portions were very good. We were not rushed by staff even though we were seated in the popular Glasshouse and had arrived early. The staff were attentive and to be honest just lovely. Finished off on the way out the door with a quick one in the bar all in all a great night and we could all walk home ! I do use Oregano fairly regularly as I live locally and have never been disappointed.

Booked this for my grandaughters 18th, what a fantastic night was had by all , food was great service second to non staff was so efficient, have 2 grandchildren who is quite fussy and both ate every morsel so would just like to say a big thank you to everyone concerned and would highly recommend the Oregano/ eagle lodge to you all 😊

It was the glass house on cold night and it certainly felt like that. Not a good start to the birthday meal. Childs high chair was anything but clean , thank goodness we had wipes , it was taken away and cleaned. Menu , we were planning on having steak which is on the Market Menu Online but was not available in the restaurant. Service wasn't great either and food was very average, didn't stay for coffee or desert as we were chilled.Had hoped for a better dining experience after bringing family along but it wasn't. Won't be rushing back.

My husband arranged a surprise 50th birthday meal for me. Friends were all seated and waiting. Staff helped him organise this and everything was fantastic on the night. Food was amazing. It was so good that we decided to go again for the Mother's Day sitting and again, staff and meal were fantastic. Not overly priced so a good day for anyone wanting to go somewhere a little more special.

Catching up with a group of friend. The food was lovely and the portions were very filling. Good deal for lunch time and great interiors.

Came in for some lunch a few days ago, and it couldn't have been better. The staff, the establishment and the food were all second to none. The manager, i think her name was Paula, was very helpful and polite. The curry was one of the best curry's I've had in Scotland, I'll definitely be back

Visited on a late Saturday afternoon and was greeted by a pleasant waiter who managed to find us a table even though we had not booked. The table we were shown to was in a large conservatory style room which was fairly busy, the waiting staff were efficient yet friendly and the meal well presented and delicious, the portions were just the right size and the prices reasonable. Overall we had a very good meal in pleasant surroundings. The toilets deserve a mention for being so clean and fresh.

This restaurant is 5 minutes from my grandmothers house and we went out to celebrate her 92nd birthday. I remember the place as a child as I had birthday parties there and needless to say it has aesthetically changed completely. We found the staff to be friendly and attentive on this visit, we were immediately asked what drinks we would like and didn't take long to take our food order. I ordered the burger and have to say it is one of the nicest Iv ever tried, which is quite the compliment given I was in Vegas 6 months ago and sampled their renowned burgers. Others in the party had pasta dishes and the sea bass, all of which were said to be lovely. Would definitely go back

I estancia de 5 minutos lejos de este restaurante y haber cenado en más en los últimos meses que tengo el pasado 4 años! La comida ha mejorado, quizás nuevo chef o de gestión.

Fue tomada aquí como huésped para el desayuno del domingo. Nos llevaron a una mesa con una camarera simpática y nos dieron el menú. Noté una bolsa de basura y cubo cerca, luego dos señoras empezó a Hoover y lavar la planta con nosotros. Esto llevó a cabo en unos 20 minutos. El ruido de muebles y moviéndose sobre la represa Hoover era terrible, así como el olor de fregasuelos una húmeda fregonas! Ninguna disculpa o ofrecen a cambiarnos ( el lugar estaba vacío!)

The foods very average, for the money you expect better, the service is hit and miss, some visits great other awful. Due to the knit and miss of the service I've stopped visiting which is a shame as it's a nice venue

I write this review from within the restaurant. I can say without fear of contradiction that is by far the worst dining experience I have EVER had. The food was ok. That is as much as I can say about it. The staff were nice but feel this is a regular issue. However I have sat with my wife absolutely freezing trying to eat my meal with cold air blowing out around me. This is scotland in January!!! The last thing we need is freezing cold air blowing up your leg!! Sitting with your coat on eating dinner is unacceptable. I will never and I mean never set foot in this place again and it is literally on my doorstep. I have given it one star because I can't give it none.

Lovely meal service good enjoyed by all the family drink can be pricey they do theatre meals which will try when we return
