Good food and service but it was cold inside.

Really nice place. Staff were very helpful. Bit pricey but worth it. Check out the roof area when it's nicer weather .. I will go back to do this as it looks amazing

We booked this local restaurant through their online website. It was busy and had a lively atmosphere and the surroundings are lovely. No starters this time as I had my eye on the desserts. For the main I ordered chicken Milanese, it came with golden breaded chicken sitting on top of not too spicy spaghetti arrabiatta and it was absolutely delicious, my husband ordered irrocco pizza, which was Cajun chicken, red onion chorizo and chillis which he said was very tasty. For dessert I had the west highland sundae which was as good as it sounded on the menu, there was vanilla ice cream, fresh cream, shortbread, tablet, toffee sauce and a mashed up tunnock’s snowball, our friendly server brought 2 spoons but I managed to eat it all on my own! There was plenty of staff to attend to us and they were very friendly and efficient. This restaurant is a wee gem in lenzie and I would highly recommend it.

Personal service with lots of attentive staff with a willingness to please every customer but not too overbearing, pleasant surroundings and although work is being carried out on the upstairs decking it hasn’t changed the atmosphere. Lovely peaceful setting will definitely return. Food well priced and delicious drinks were reasonably good also.

Visited as a family for dinner. Kids menu a bit limited, however food was nice, above average prices but would return again in future

Last minute decision to go for dinner, we had been before for lunch and enjoyed. We were served by Kaitlin, who was very friendly and professional, the service was excellent. The surroundings are very comfortable and cosy and the food is tasty. My only criticism is the menu which I feel needs to be updated and vegan and vegetarian meals should also be available. We will definitely return.

Our first visit to the Grove for a meal in a long time. Food was excellent as was the service. Lorna and Kaitlin were very friendly welcoming and their service was exceptional. We would highly recommend and look forward to returning

had a drink in the grove last night very quiet not surprising as paid £11.95 for a pint of tenants and a medium glass of pinot grigio, I had been in the merchant city before paying £9.75 for the same drink. This is lenzie not city center would like to drink here more often but not at these prices

I’ll start by saying this was probably the worst dining experience I’ve ever encountered. This was booked as a long awaited get together with a group of friends and our kids with the aim of making Hogmanay a bit special. Firstly we were contacted 3 days before our visit to say there was a fire in the kitchen on Boxing Day and they had to significantly reduce the menu (a choice of 4 mains was offered when the original festive menu had 10/12 different choices) we had paid £100 deposit for a booking of 12 people. When we declined the reduced menu and asked for our deposit back they made efforts to put on a few more choices. Upon arrival on the night we waited 45 mins for our 1st drink and over an hour for a starter, this we understood it was Hogmanay and they seemed to be understaffed which wasn’t the waitresses fault so full consideration for the staff who were on shift was given. Now to the disaster that unfolded next. I took my 6 year old daughter to the bathroom, the toilet was quite a large cubicle with a sink and hand dryer contained within. I stood inside with her but a bit further back at the door while my daughter hopped on the pan. When I went to assist her I noticed that her skirt had touched the floor and was saturated in urine and feaces. Obviously the pan had overflowed at some point in the evening resulted in the floor being covered in waste. Appalled I asked to speak to a manager. The manager that came to the toilet was not sufficiently trained and failed to offer any explanation of the state of the bathroom or any apology. We asked to speak to another manger to ask for an explanation why a 6 year old visits a bathroom and ends up covered in human waste, we were told abruptly “they cannot check the toilets every 2 mins” again no apology. We next sought out the owner who was shocked and indeed apologised however upon us leaving the restaurant without our main meals, no way I could finish my meal after that, the owner proceeded to check-in with the tables surrounding our party but failed to approach my and apologise for the ruined evening. I’m still awaiting the owner returning my call to discuss this health and hygiene issue. While I understand these things can happen, not sure it’s acceptable in a restaurant, how the staff handled or failed to handle the situation is appalling

Getting 1 star as I can't give it none. Haven't been here for a while . I was recommended the curried vegetarian burger. Truly the WORST burger I have ever had. It had no flavour or curry at all I was so hungry after dinner I felt I hadn't eaten anything. Service was such we assumed it must just have been their first day on the job. Doubt I'll ever eat there again.

Just perfect friendly staff and reasonably prices although I felt the desserts were a little pricey for what they were but all in all a pleasant visit.

The staff were lovely and the atmosphere was nice. However the food felt like convenience food heated up. We had the roast dinner. The Yorkshire pudding was like a frozen one, mashed potatoes tasted like smash and veggies didn’t taste fresh, except the parsnips. Only only little slice of bread with the pate and prawn starter. Not enough to actually eat the pate and prawns with. Will give it another go but will the roast dinner.

Nice bar/restaurant with a great rooftop terrace for a sunny day. My only complaint would be that on a nice sunny day you can't get ice cream on the roof terrace as it's not on the reduced menu. Add some desserts to the menu to make things perfect.

Looks great at first glance both outside and inside. However, you can see, as with most places, the use and wear is not dealt with when it starts to appear. Which is such a shame as places that originally look so good fall into disrepair, when all it would take is catching things early and that would keep the decor looking really good. Even simple things like, keeping matching chairs together, makes all the difference. Desert was a toffee ice cream sundae. It was a poor display with a small amount of some kind of lumpy, thick cream on the top, barely two half scoops of cheap vanilla ice cream and toffee sauce mixed with broken bits of tablet. Really not worth £7.50. And of draft cola at £4 each too it was all very expensive for such a poor show. But we tried the place. It's off our list. We still have loads of tea shops, bakeries and restaurants we love going to.

Went for a works lunch and everything was great. Burger was fantastic and service really quick. Everyone else loved their food. Hope to be back again soon.

Was passing through Lenzie and decided to have a drink up on the roof terrace as the weather was scorching, could do with a better selection of beers on draught, however the menebrea hit the spot for me. Amy was absolutely cracking, fast, efficient and had absolutely no problem chatting away with me, hopefully be back in Lenzie soon to enjoy some food in the restaurant.

My friend and I wanted to go for something to eat and went to the Grove. This is the second time I had visited and wasnt dissapointed. I started with the prawn cocktail and it was refreshing then went for the Highland chicken, plenty of chicken, We didnt book and the waitress found us a table and the young waiting staff were very efficient and a credit to the restaurant. I wiil be back

Really disappointed, emailed Twice and called to book a table for drinks, no response from establishment. We did actually come, and they won’t accept valid forms of ID for the younger members of our group. They seem to reserve the right to pick and choose; plus not actually take bookings or requests for bookings. Definitely dissatisfied with this establishment and has soured our night out!!

Helpful to have a gluten free main menu. Dessert menu had only one gluten free option. When I asked if there was anything else, first I was told just sorbet, then when I asked if there was ice cream the server replied 'To be honest I'm not really up on the gluten free' . Doesn't inspire confidence! Only checked the ice cream was OK for me when I suggested they do so. I felt like I was being a nuisance. If they don't know at least have the willingness to find out. Looks like poor staff training and taking your customers for granted, which is astonishing given that business looks slow. Wouldn't rush back.

Chose to visit The Grove after a lovely pre Xmas meal with a friend where we we both enjoyed the food the service and the ambience. We don't get the chance to get together too often! Was really disappointed in the quality of the service and the food this time....to the extent a bottle of wine was placed on our table...there you go!, no removal of bottle top or offer of clean glasses ...:one of the main meals had to be returned as the chicken was overcooked, unable to cut with a knife and dry!. On reporting this to the serving staff, who then reported to the"chef", overheard the conversation...what does she want...does she want another one!. Not ideal to hear the conversation!! We did stay and spend over £150 between our food and wine , was really disappointed in the attention to customer service, as the changeover in staff did not recognise there had been a problem with the food. There was very little apology to this fact and my friend had nearly finished her meal by the time I received my replacement. Overall hospitality experience poor. I've managed restaurants and customer service teams and think there's a bit of work to do here along with chefs being able to cook a piece of chicken!!!!

Great location next to the train station serving nice food and coffee. It is a little expensive but still enjoyed!

This place should be so much better. Friday lunch. Place was dead. Only went here because the Gatehouse was full. Says it all because food here is better but service isn't. 3 or 4 staff on. All doing very little. Waited an age to be seated. 2 tables in!! Food very good. Staff just not up to it. Young and disinterested. Talking and socialising. No leadership or work ethic. Don't get me started on your wine list too. Terrible terrible wines. I've tried most but all so bad. If this place put in 10% more effort you would get so many more customers.

I live locally and but generally avoid local places as I find them parochial and without substance. This was no exception. Some real oddities in here last Friday afternoon. I had finished work, commuted back and arranged to meet my partner in here. I came in ordered a drink and sat down - no one else knew except an old couple across against the wall at the other side. I sat down at a table (no drinks, no jackets or any other items). A "gentleman" then appeared and said he was sitting there but it was fine he was leaving anyway - if you were leaving why say anything? Clearly the local ticket who had to get his bit in to someone he didn't recognise. Clearly not the fancy Lenzie establishment it purports to be when creatures like this are accosting patrons. Oh and the old couple sat and gawped at me for the duration of my visit. Lovely stuff.

Food was lovely but wouldn't let us bring in a birthday cake to celebrate friend's special birthday. Said it was due to covid but don't see difference between 4 good friends sitting closely together sharing food etc, and eating a home made cake. Spoiled the evening.

Sunday roast menu was excellent. Went for roast beef, was gutted there was no steak pie but just another reason to return 👍

The Grove appears clean and tidy but is vastly over priced, lacks atmosphere and suffers delusions of grandure. It has all the soul of a dentists waiting room in an abandoned airport departure lounge. The staff were friendly enough but not a bar id recommend. I cannot comment on the food next door in the restaurant.

Excellent service from the staff, very nice meal

Went for a meal with friends and had a good time. Menu was extensive (curry, Asian, burgers, pizzas and steak pies) so whilst the food wasn't exceptional, it was good. Staff were helpful and a good time was had by all. Good place for families wanting a nice meal with their kids.

Really lovely atmosphere, especially the roof terrace in nice weather. Staff was really friendly and attentive. Food was of a good quality, although some of the cocktails are a bit pricey. Will definitely be returning. Be aware that making a reservation online requires a deposit of £30.

Beautiful restaurant & rooftop Bar. The staff were lovely. The food was very nice the only thing was the pasta dish both myself and friend got the portion size was small my other friend had the prawn fajitas which only had four prawns on it. This was not due to it being lunch time as it's the same menu for lunch and dinner.

Cocktails are fab! Have ate here a few times for lunch and dinner, never disappoints and always a great atmosphere. Can't wait until the roof terrace opens to have some drinks with the girls here!

Hi, I have been to this restaurant once and have no complaints as food was lovely and staff also, I bought the Penne Irrocco as I get it all the time at Oregano in Bishopbriggs, everything was really good. The reason I am putting in a review tonight is that I called The Grove and asked if I could order food and would pick it up, they said yes as they are about to start up a delivery service soon. Ordered the Penne Irrocco and as usual food was not disappointing tasted lovely, my husband ordered lasagne. After our food we were discussing why the lasagne didn’t come with garlic bread as most places serve it with the lasagne, so checked the menu online and it was supposed to have garlic bread, but also noticed that the price we were charged was more expensive than the menu considering it was a takeaway and we picked it up. Called the restaurant they apologised for the garlic bread but told me that the Irrocco I got was £10.95 and I was looking at the wrong menu which states it is £9.95, I looked again at their website menu and it is still £9.95, I know it’s only £1of a difference but it’s the principle that I was told I made a mistake and also no garlic bread!!!! Oh and by the way if you get Penne Irrocco from Oregano it’s £11.95? Same people own the two restaurants, so why the difference? !!!!!

I’m only reviewing the bar area here. But it’s very small and very expensive. Decor and everything is fine.

Service was good. Food also. Only problem was that my daughter in law had to change her choice of main course three times before they could supply. At least they were very appologetic

Had a two course meal here on Fri in middle of December. Food and service was of a high standard and I would definitely return again.

Stylish,airy, great selection of wines. It's expensive,but the service is great and the other patrons are well-behaved. It's a great place for a couple of drinks,a chat and relaxation.

Beautiful lunch menu, good selections of meals on the menu. Lovely well mannered young waiter. If I have to say a negative it would be being charged £2:15 for a small soda water and lime.
