La Vita in East Dunbartonshire

After waiting 2.5 hours and 2 phone calls ended up canceling my order. No one could tell me where the order was, shocking service.

Phoned to complain as lobster ravioli was watery, full of cream, and overloaded with garlic, not how it usually is made, I have eaten this dish numerous times before, however the manager couldn’t understand me when I called, still waiting for my refund

No update waiting over 2 hours and they update just saying enjoy ur order but its another 40 minutes before food arrives, 😒

After address mess up.......got my food..... which was as always amazing 👏.

said it had been delivered... it was... but 20 mins late.... after waiting 2 hours in the first place... food when it finally got here was so cold... pizza was a sggy mess and macaroni that lumpy with cheese suase powder that had not been mixed....don't waste money... Will not be back... also I say literally 5 mins away...dinner ruined 😒 cheers!

Food has still not even ARRIVED!! Called the restaurant! Spoke to two different people! Both speaking very slang and unprofessional! Sounded like they had no clue what was going on!!! If the food arrives it will be over 2 hours since was ordered!! Will never order from La vita again!!!

Fantastic food, efficient service, very friendly staff with a great atmosphere.

2 hours waited on my food and wasn't even offered compensation. Delivery driver didn't even apologise for being late

Order was placed at approx. 18.30 with a request to deliver by 20.00. It eventually arrived at 21.30. The food was good although there was virtually no chicken or mushrooms in the pasta dish, which are the main ingredients. Really poor service. Disappointed and very much doubt we'll be ordering from here again.

Been 3 hours. Still hasn't arrived. No one at the restaurant will pick up the phone.

App said 60-75 mins delivery. Now been over 2.5 hours. Won't ever sit in or order from them again and I've used La Vita for many years. Tried phoning so many times and they obviously have the phone off the hook. Dreadful customer service

App states "Enjoy your food" at 5.45pm - hard to do when it still hasn't arrived. Time for delivery was 45/70 mins before i ordered. called restaurant after 90 mins to be told it would be another 20/25 mins. ridiculous time to wait for food. I wouldn't have ordered if I'd know it would actually take 1 hour and 45 mins to arrive!

Disgraceful.. waited 2 1/2 hrs and order was wrong, no pizza delivered with it.. asked for some sort of refund and was told no.

Food arrived a half hour late the roast potatoes were cold and chips were missing from the order never again.

The tomato’s were missing from the bruschetta and the bread was soggy, very disappointed

Not as good as last time food was quite dry Iv edited this review as I visited here today and what an experience it was or starter was OK then the main came !!! I cut into the chicken loads of water came out and it was very mushy I sent it back then the fun began !! It wasn't cooked properly I was told it was I said not to my satisfaction and wasn't eating it , I was of course offered somthing else and my reply was no as it put me off . The manager then came over with a very raised voice saying was nothing wrong with it bla bla and offered me cake !! I told him no thankyou and asked for the bill the bill arrived with the meal I didn't eat on it I said I was paying for an uncooked meal that I didn't eat he the became quite aggressive shouting and waving his hands along in my face !! I asked to speak to manager his reply was he was manager and spoke to owner and told me I was paying for meal !!! As you could imagine my reply was !! not a chance am I paying for an undercooked meal that could cause food poisoning he the came back in my face shouting I had to ask him four or five times to remove himself away from me absolute disgusting way to treat customers, will never return if u do go her to eat undercooked food don't dare have the cheek to return anything or your in for a roller coaster ride . P.s. the male waiter who served us was very polite and lovely , it was the manager that was a disgrace totally gob smacked a manager treats customers like this !!!! And of course I'm not expecting a reply to this running a ship in such a way

Worse experience ever, ordered food at 3pm for pick up at 7pm. Arrived and couldn't even get in the door. The staff were just ignoring everyone waiting for food. Was told someone had waited and hour and 15 mins and someone else an hour and half. After half an hour then manager was asked for and all he said was to busy. I asked for a refund and was told no to busy. Eventually got food and hour after I was meant to get it.

Total joke order food at 3.10 this afternoon to pick up at 7pm was still waiting at 7.50. staff were just ignoring us when asking about order. When asked for manager his answer was they were to busy, when asked for refund they said no to busy. They had their money so weren't caring.Some people were waiting an hour and a half after ordering time and some people that ordered for delivery weren't getting anything and were having to come in to complain as phones weren't working

Absolutely shocking service. Ordered at 4.40 as knew how busy it would be. It’s now over one hour late, it’s just got here and 4 items missing. Phones were taken off the hook. Awful service

Absolutely shocking ordered food at 17.05pm it’s now 19.50pm 10th March and it’s still not been delivered can’t understand why you’ll take orders and have people waiting for nearly 3hours be honest and call you clients , very poor service, I will never be using you again,

ridiculous, 4 hours to receive an order, if you can't fulfil orders in a timely manner then you shouldn't be taking them, only giving one star as can't submit with none, won't be using again and have requested a refund.

Ordered takeaway. Food was great as usual. As I was waiting on my takeaway i asked the waitress if I could add a pistachio cannoli to my order. Love the cannolis from here so was really disappointed to get home and open the box to discover something that resembled and tasted like a croissant. Wasn’t anywhere near as enjoyable as a cannoli

Food was soggy and rotten got put in bin no salad was provided which I left note stating that make sure it was there and this isn’t first time no salad has been provided!

the pizzas were extremely dry with little to no cheese and very tasteless . No tomato sauce with the mozzarella frita either . The garlic bread was also not appetising.

Great spot for some great food. Staff were brilliant and good value for money too.

ordered chicken Milanese and quality tonight was really bad, the coating completely fell off the chicken, the chicken didn't taste good, the spaghetti was too greasy and too spicy. ordered the mile high Sicilian lemon cake and it was a half size portion that tasted off. really disappointed.

This was my first time la vita but it won't be the last.the food was superb and the staff very friendly great place.

Took 1 hrs 50 min to come and no apology

We had a meal and gave the dining out gift card. It was rejected by waiter. They said they did not accept them. Very embarrassing for us. Wont be back.

Order took over 2 hours to arrive and when it arrived it was freezing cold. Garlic bread could have broke a window it was that solid. Pizza inedible it was so cold. Chips tasted like they had sat out for days, stale and freezing. Whole order was disgusting. Reported as late and received “we’re sorry it was late, we hope you enjoyed your food”. Absolutely vile. Will never order again. If I could have left zero stars I would have.

my order popped up as delivered at 20.25, then after I asked after an update to my order it then said would be delivered by 20.35, I gave up and put in for a refund at 20.50,pm, phone also constantly engaged.

Food was 45mins early but app didn't update.

Went today. Amazing time. Food 100% if I could have licked the dish I would..we had meatballs followed by Italian bread pudding. Oof. Full to busting. Parking . Not at the premises but new Morrisons opposite you can park but 7 to 10 mins walk

all I could taste from the piccante pasta was garlic and found several whole cloves in my pasta, garlic bread was freezing cold and stale I couldn't even take a bite and the pizza was soggy in the middle and undercooked, I was very disappointed usually this is my favorite place

Nicer inside than perhaps it looks from the outside. Service and food was excellent. Reasonable prices too. Will visit again.

Food was Luke warm had to reheat most of it and the mozzarella fritters were soggy as u packaged them along side diced tomatoes

We have always enjoyed La Vita but tonight’s meal was delicious and one of the best Italian meals I’ve ever had. Can recommend the Penne Matteo and Amore Pizza. Food and service were excellent.

2 hours for delivery food was tasty but pizza was cold

2 hour delivery time and everything was soggy and cold upon arrival. You would think they would put wet ingredients like sauces and salad separate from the dishes to prevent this. Do not recommend.

amazing food just can't beat la vita the mia casa pasta yum

mia casa was so bland couldn't taste any pesto and also only got 2 tiny bite sized pieces of chicken and 1 and half mushrooms with a couple of bits of broccoli stem the pizza was nice but again there was barely any toppings. utterly ridiculous to pay so much money for the portion provided.

The food I received was absolutely vile and was not the same product I have repeatedly ordered from this restaurant , I am extremely disappointed.

We went to bishopbriggs la vita tonight and its the worst service ever. We have been going there since it opened and have never experienced such bad service. The staff were not coordinated and did not know what they were doing. The food was okay but not the normal high standard for La Vita. The owner would not be impressed with his restaurants performance tonight Sorry to give this negative review but this is one of my favourite restaurants and i just want it to be as its always been

I waited two and a half hours for one portion of spaghetti and meatballs to arrive. I phoned up once to find out where it was and was left on hold for 15 minutes before I hung up. I then phoned again and was told it’ll be 10 minutes and the driver had just left. 20 minutes later I phoned again and asked to speak to the manager. The manager was rude, didn’t apologise and said he was really busy and it would be another 10 minutes. My food arrived 25 minutes later, and it was freezing cold

La Vita is very hit and miss! I ordered the New York pizza...5 meatballs on it, which I consider to be stingey, the cheese was also not mozzarella and it had clearly been blasted in the oven then sat waiting a while before delivery...inedible. My wife ordered pasta, the sauce had split, inedible.

I got given 3 different delivery times and the last slot I was given there were no updates.

Ordered a collection as I stay out with the delivery. Got home to the wrong order and when phoning the restaurant they claim it was the correct order and refused to replace. Back and forth with no meal in the end except a pasta I did not order. Won’t be back

Pizzas are atrocious. Every pizza is supposedly topped with mozzarella.. its actually cheddar. Believe it or not we are smart enough to tell the difference. I've been ordering food from here for years despite this but this will be my last. This straw has broke the camels back. The Italians would be ashamed of your blasphemous pizzas, rethink your indgredients and get this sorted!
