Not worth it - the coffee was good, but the cakes were old and tasteless and definitely not worth the exorbitant price. Also had a card issue but I had just paid for lunch up the street with no problems and when I checked with my bank later, there wasn't any issue.

Rip off tourist trap. £29 for a coffee, a smoothie and two cakes. £3.90 service charge was also added for abysmally slow service. Only one person running everything who forgot our order and had to be reminded. Door was kept open and was freezing. Coffee was weak. Cakes are just bought in from a wholesaler. Avoid .

Popped in as wandering and exploring and really wanted a quick drink to freshen up The cafe is really comfortable inside and felt lovely and cool which was a godsend due to it being a rather warm and humid day However we wanted ice tea and they hadn’t got any - little bewildered on that The teas - well a nice selection but boy the prices - not going to get many proper tea drinkers in here for £8.00 a go! Coffee is slightly more reasonable at £3.50 and £4.50 a pop Must say the coffees we had were really good - the coffee was burnt or bitter tasting The service was good Only one loo which is ok if not busy (pet hate of mine only 1 loo) the loo seat was loose - weird thing to say but these places need to be good Cakes looked nice but think around the area they are being made by one company as they all seem to look the same - but we didn’t partake in one Don’t think we would visit again - nothing major just plenty of other places to visit really

Estuvimos merendando aquí una tarde. La decoración es muy bonita, nos atendieron muy amablemente y nos gustó lo que tomamos (un café y una tarta). La única pega que le pongo es que los precios son caros.

I went to this establishment to order a Turkish coffee and some cake for my wife. The cake looked impressive so I thought it would be nice to try some too - I have food allergies (milk, eggs and peanuts) but was told by the person serving us that several of the cakes were vegan and also free from peanuts. I mentioned multiple times that I have severe allergies and was assured that the cake I had selected was free from the allergens I had listed. Our cakes were brought out to us but after a couple of mouthfuls my mouth and throat began to feel itchy - a tell-tale sign that I have eaten something I am allergic to. An hour or two later, I had stomach pain and ended up vomiting profusely in a train station toilet on my way home. I can't conclusively prove that the cake I was served caused this allergic reaction, however the sequence of events (coupled with the fact I had eaten little else that day) leads me to assume that this was most likely the case. The person serving me didn't seem to understand how serious allergies are - I had to ask her to wash the tongs before handling my cake slice, as she had previously used them to pick up my wife's dairy cake and was about to use them on mine. The supposedly vegan/ peanut free cake I selected was also stored next to cakes that I believe did contain allergens. All in all, this tells me that there is at the very least the potential for cross-contamination, which was not adequately explained to me when I placed my order. I returned my slice of cake to the person who served me and explained I believed I was having an allergic reaction and couldn't eat it. They told me that this shouldn't be happening as the cake shouldn't have contained any allergens, which I felt missed the point! They were gracious enough not to have charged me for the slice, however given how ill I felt I wish I'd just refused to pay for our order. In terms of the remaining food - my wife's cake was 'OK' but she did not think it worth the price we paid. The Turkish coffee similarly was OK - not bad, but by no means the best I've had (even though it is certainly the most expensive). I don't usually leave Trip Advisor reviews but ended up here when trying to find a working website address or email address so as to contact Ore. What I really want is for them to ensure they take allergies seriously in future so that this (or worse) doesn't happen again. My allergies are severe enough for me to carry epipens and I was fortunate not to need to use them. If you are the proprietor reading this review - please, please train your staff and ensure you have a clear policy for managing allergens and avoiding cross-contamination in the future!

The service at this cafe was horrible and something I have never been experienced. I found a piece of metal in my food so I let the waiter know as you would do at a restaurant. Instead of apologising he shouted saying that he’s not the chef and asked me what do I expect him to do. I was completely shocked and upset by this and really confused as I had not raised my voice once. I would not recommend this place at all and avoid it at all costs. Does not even deserve the 1 star.

For the price of cakes we expected “fresh” and delicious ones. It’s not the case. Very disappointing! Overrated! I don’t recommend

Needed some drinks and a sit down after walking around the V&A. Chose this place because it had seats and a table empty…big mistake. Waitress was very brusque when I asked her if we order from the table. We had tea between 3 and an espresso. We then had to ask for milk and sugar. My glass tea cup was dirty so I asked for a clean one, and I swear she came back and gave me the same cup. Will not be returning, worse cafe experience ever in London!

My wife and I visited this establishment on the afternoon of Sunday December 5th, and our initial impressions were good. We each had a mug of hot chocolate, my wife had a pistachio cake and I had a pain au chocolat. All very enjoyable. HOWEVER.......on paying the bill, too late I noticed that I had been charged £7.50 for a cake instead of the £3.20 shown on the menu for the pain au chocolat. Despite my assumption that this was simply an honest mistake, the young female waitress refused to correct this error, instead claiming that the prices had changed but that the menu had not been updated. I pointed out that what she was claiming would amount to a breach of trading laws, but she was having none of it. Strange, when I checked today on their online menu it was still showing as £3.20. My advice would be to give this establishment a wide berth, given that they appear to be happy to cheat innocent diners.

After a long trek around the museums (V&A in our case), you really want to take the weight off your feet and relax - and this is just the place to do it! The decor is amazing - the coffee is just right - and the cakes/pastries look wonderful and taste even better! Spanish Latte with a red apple cake (sorry - cannot remember the real name) for me and a pistachio latte with a pistachio cake for my wife - very good!

We decided to call in for a cup of tea whilst we waited for our booking time at V&A. Great selection of drinks and the cakes looked amazing! The mint tea was delicious and served beautifully. Also the toilet was amazingly clean and very pretty!

Came on my own, ordered a rose latte and it took 25 minutes for someone to come take my order even though there was only one other person in the shop who I overheard wanted the service charge removed. There was only one waiter in the shop and when another one arrived the started having an argument - very unprofessional. The rose latte was very average, and I paid £8.60 for a small drink including service charge. Won’t be coming back

Visited for a quick business lunch with some colleagues. Fast Service but there was not much space between tables for us to have our informal meeting. Quality of the food, cleanliness could be better and pricing is OK for central London

We are here in London from the United States and so happy we found Brown & Rosie in Nottingham! We spent three weeks traveling around England… Brown & Rosie is at the top of our list of favorite places. We had dinner twice and breakfast once. Hamburgers were awesome. My French toast topped with fruit and ice cream was delicious! Not sure when we will back to London but we will never visit London again without stopping in at Brown & Rosie! Thanks so much from an American Tourist!

Evitar a toda costa.
