They didn’t turn up at the right address and then didn’t deliver it

Wonderful food and delivery. Thanks me of my fave take outs in South Birmingham. Love that they do ho fun (noodles) too.

Disappointed, food was poor, the meat in the noodles tasted odd and spare ribs were like rubber.

first time ordering from here and I can absolutely say it was amazing the only thing that was a little bit disappointing was the large spring roll to much bean sprouts in it and not alot of anything else but overall I will be definitely ordering from here again

Waited nearly a hour for food it come cold so rang up to ask for refund was told we are always complaining about cold food yet only complained twice in about 10 years the person on the phone was rude and said we won’t be getting our money back as there busy…how am I expected to eat cold food and then the cheek to say we ain’t getting the money back is shocking!!

POSITIVES: arrived 5 minutes before due and arrived hot. Prawns were cooked well. NEGATIVES: no seasoning/taste had to add my own salt and soya sauce.

I recently moved here and tried this place for the first time., and the last.. the man was a grump, the food was tiny portions and actually awful the chow mein noodles were hard and dry the chips were pale and bruised and the crispy chilli chicken was whiter than me top 10 worse Chinese meals I’ve ever had

The rice was really dark brown. The curry tastes like supermarket curry. And ive been throwing up all night.

We placed an order at 1820, and delivery time was for between 1915-1935. At 1940 the app said the food had been delivered. This was then updated to 2000 once I reported food was late. Food was eventually delivered at 2015 by which time we’d ordered food from another source. Restaurant now refusing to repay for food that took almost two hours from order to delivery and was an hour late from initial delivery estimate. Despite phoning the restaurant multiple times, there was no answer.

wish they would specify on the menu what type of tofu is used, it was more silken tofu which we wouldn't have ordered if we knew that. salt and pepper chips, not much flavour and the type of chips used wasn't nice. egg fried rice was good

We have been using Orchid for a while every Friday, hubby collects! The last 6 weeks the food has become inedible! We threw last nights meal in the bin! How they can sell food like that is beyond me! We had fried rice which was congealed trying to get it out of the container, the crispy chilli chicken was over cooked, chicken was tough and hardly any chilli sauce, the chips were the worse chips we have ever seen!! and its all luke warm when you collect it! We shall be looking else where now and we will no longer be going there anymore & will not be recommending it either! The guy in there doesnt really care so we will take our custom elsewhere!

Been using this place for a long time, this is probably the second time now we've had a bad outcome. We waited over 25 minuets for a sweet and sour sauce they had forgot to put in the bag, when I had phoned up to ask to send a new one, the woman on the phone asked me 3 times to make sure the sauce was not there, I explained I know what a sweet and sour sauce pot looks like and we don't have one. It's a shame really. Phoned up a few times to check where the sauce was, as our dinner was getting cold, was not about to eat my dinner without the rest of the family. Very disappointed.

The delivery was fast and the food was some of the best Chinese I’ve had in a while, I recommend greatly if you’re looking for good quality food

Had a fantastic Chinese tonight, food was cooked to perfection and arrived on time. I haven’t had a Chinese like that for ages, so was definitely worth the money and will be ordering again. Hopefully the quality is just as good as next time.

However the price was very reasonable (£26 to feed 3) and complimentary prawn crackers and spring rolls were good. I was told it would take 5-10 minutes and it did. We enjoyed all of the food very much and have plenty left for lunch tomorrow.

Ordered for the first time, not only was it delivered so early than it said, delivery driver so Pleasant but the food was 100% beautiful, big portions will definitely will be ordering again very soon. Thank you for such a great meal

Food cooked perfect… only take out Cantonese to do hofon outside of the city center. Requested no veg in the delivery notes and was granted. Very good will use again.

Food was tasteless, Singapore fried rice wanted 1 without pork and 2 with pork as my daughter don't like pork but got the wrong bloody order, my other half called them up as wanted a refund or send me the order I asked from the start but the lady goes on the phone when you order next time I'll get one free, wasn't happy with it as it was my daughters dinner, as my other half said one without pork the lady goes so you don't want ham then lol what else is pork, last time I order from this place and cost ne near enough £40 service and food was horrible prawns had the vains stickin out and my daughter is really fussy, I mean who puts ham, sausages, spam in a Singapore fried rice and it's meant to be a spicy dish, it was nothing like it even from a balti place a korma or vindaloo is better then this place, STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE, ORCHID COTTERIDGE NASTY

Get charged different depending on who you speak to I usually phone my order through regularly and go and collect, last week I called and asked for the curry sauce for the rice chips and sauce to be in a separate pot as I didn’t want the chips to go soggy, the man said yeah we can do that for you and was nice about it and did it, we ended the call had my food which was great minus the crispy chilli beef having no flavour. Today I called ordered the same and the woman said it will be 30p for the pot when I questioned this that the man last week didn’t charge me she was like yes you pay 30p for the pot Why do different people charge different I decided to order from somewhere else instead tonight and going to reconsider choosing another Chinese in the area.

We have been regular customers here for 9 years, yet tonight when I called to complain my order was wrong (which half the time it is but we've continued to order here as it's tasty) I was greeted by the most rude, arrogant man I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. Not only did he not understand basic English, but he kept interrupting me when I tried to explain what the error was. No matter how many times I asked him to just let me explain without interruption, he continued to interrupt me and talk over me. He ended up saying they did not want my business anymore, and hung up on me! So when they get your order wrong, which they will if you want anything slightly different from what they make (in this instance no beansprouts in the chicken chow, but keep them in the plain) I wouldn't bother complaining, as they don't want to know. This place isn't the same since the lady on the phones left! Rude, nasty man! They've since banned us, customers for 9 years, because of the above honest review following such a bad experience with their rude staff member. AVOID THEM! The response he posted after my review was completely false.

Food is flavourless, sweet and sour sauce tasted disgusting, curry sauce was like jelly and the chips weren't cooked. Won't bother trying from here again.

I've been a regular customer at orchird for years,but was let down when they messed my order up I was very disappointed,after ordering my food at 10:20pm,I got home to find my food completely wrong,I had no choice but to eat it has they close at 10:30pm and I was very hungry. I tried to call orchird three times just after 10:30pm and the phone was ringing out I have this on my call log.I went into orchird to speaker with management explained my order was wrong I had no apologie and was told why didn't you call the phone he stated that the phone line was still operating until 11-30pm I explained I called and he stayed no one called.I feel let down and very disappointed from the customer service I received,I will no longer be ordering from you again after all these years being a loyal customer.

The food from here is usually excellent and the Roast Chicken Chinese Style was exactly that, and it was delivered earlier than expected. However I'm sorry to say I have to take issue with the rest of the order - the chips weren't properly cooked and the curry sauce was barely luke warm which was a bit disappointing.

The food was kind of yeah wa’evs, but no included prawn crackers, srsly? Every other takeaway includes the 20p worth of prawn crackers with good quality food, so none included with wa’evs food makes for a poor show.

The driver was rude as he said he couldnt find the address although it is not a difficult address to find. The food was terrible quality. The crispy beef inedible.

Order through just eat so you are covered Me and my friend regularly use this place, we were together one night and decided to order on their app as they usually ask us to, we ordered over £70 worth of food, changed the delivery address to my address instead of my friends and placed our order About an hour later she had a call off the delivery driver he was trying to deliver to the wrong address even though on the app it definitely wasn’t that address abd was my address, we phoned the restaurant and the woman on the phone said they sometimes have trouble with the app, we will have to pay £1.50 for it to be delivered to us (baring in mind the other address is a only 5 min walk from the takeaway) When she questioned why should she pay as it was the apps fault a man then came on the phone shouting saying that she needs to pay £3.50 (went up from £1.50 originally) for the driver to bring the food and it had to be cash (we ordered on the app because we didn’t have any cash so paid upfront for the food anyway) the driver got to the actual address pretty fast between him calling us and us calling the restaurant and then obviously by the time the food got here it wasn’t as hot as it should have been Terrible service, terrible app, if I’m ever going to order from here in future now will order form just eat so least I’m covered rather than direct with them

Excellent delivery time and food was delicious

Food seem ok at best, soggy chicken balls and over cooked rice. But then the next 2 days I had a bad stomach and on the toilet sh***** water, 100% from the food from here as I eat healthy all the time and this was a cheat meal. Won’t be ordering from here again unfortunately.

Salt and pepper ribs were great, chicken balls were crispy, chicken in black bean was a bit too salty but overall tasty.

Beef was chewy hardly any curry sauce in the curry and hardly any mushrooms. Given the wrong chips.
